2023.06.06 14:41 johnnybravojr Sharkbite thoughts

I know Sharkbite gets a lot of hate, but has anyone actually had one leak on them? I'm looking to install a new dishwasher and the shutoff valve under the sink needs to be replaced. Tight spot (I'm not comfortable sweating on a new one) and local plumbers want $400 to swap it. Sharkbite is $12 at home depot.
Question for everyone here; has anyone actually had a shark bite valve leak on them? Especially a "1/2 x 3/8 Inch Compression Angle Stop Valve" one?
Thanks!

Cocktail Glasses Online: Enhancing Your Drinking Experience
https://preview.redd.it/m5dzt66j7e4b1.jpg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8eaf1880f6e8397c15f11b45ce836982333699e
In recent years, cocktails have become extremely popular, and serving them in the appropriate glass can enhance the drinking experience. It doesn't matter if you're a professional mixologist or just like to make your own drinks at home; you need the right cocktail glasses. This article discusses the significance of cocktail glasses, the various types that are available, the best ways to select them, well-known online retailers, and things to keep in mind when making a purchase online.
The visual appeal of a cocktail has a significant impact on how it is perceived. This is why cocktail glasses are so important. Cocktail glasses online with unusual shapes and designs can make the drink look better and make it more appealing. The right glass can grandstand the varieties, enhancements, and layers of the mixed drink, making a paramount encounter for the consumer.
Taste The size and shape of a cocktail glass can have an effect on the flavor, despite popular belief. Glasses with more extensive openings take into account better fragrance dissemination, while others with smaller edges concentrate the flavors. The right glass can assist with safeguarding the beverage's fragrance, improve its taste, and give a balanced tangible encounter.
Adding a Touch of Elegance The use of specialized cocktail glasses online elevates any occasion. Serving cocktails in chic glasses elevates the atmosphere, no matter how big or small the gathering is. It gives the impression that you have given careful consideration to creating a memorable experience for your guests.
Cocktail glasses come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but the classic martini glass has a long stem and is shaped like a V. Because of their shape, they are ideal for classic martinis because they keep the drink chilled and prevent the ingredients from separating. These glasses are also great for margaritas and other cocktails like cosmopolitans.
Highball Glasses Highball glasses are tall and slim, and they are made for serving drinks with more mixer and ice. They are regularly utilized for highball mixed drinks like a gin and tonic, mojito, or a bourbon ginger. These glasses' height makes room for more ice and carbonation, keeping the drink cool.
Collins Glasses The Collins glasses are similar to highball glasses, but they are taller and slightly narrower. They are frequently used in Collins drinks like the Tom Collins and the John Collins. The drink's effervescence is shown off by its long shape, which makes it possible to add garnishes like lemon slices or mint sprigs.
Margarita Glasses The shape of a margarita glass is distinctive, with a stem and a wide, open rim. They can be rimmed with salt or sugar because they are made for margaritas. Additionally, the wide rim assists in capturing the beverage's aromas, enhancing the overall experience.
Champagne Flutes Champagne flutes are long, opulent glasses that have a stem and a narrow bowl. They are essentially utilized for serving shimmering wine and champagne. The flute's shape keeps the bubbles in place and directs the aroma toward the drinker's nose.
Rocks Glasses: Also known as old-fashioned glasses, rocks glasses are short and durable. They're great for old-fashioned cocktails and whiskey on the rocks served over ice. The drinker is able to appreciate the flavors and aroma thanks to the large opening, which also keeps the beverage chilled.
Choosing the Right Cocktail Glass When selecting a cocktail glass, think about the following:
Take into Account the Drink Various cocktails necessitate specific glasses to enhance their characteristics. Choose glasses that go well with the kinds of cocktails you like to drink or that you plan to serve. Choosing the right glass for the drink demonstrates your care and ensures the best drinking experience possible.
Take into Account the Appearance Select glasses that complement both your personal style and the overall theme of your home or business. Select plans that resound with your taste, whether it's a smooth and present day look or a one of a kind propelled stylish. The visual allure of the china can upgrade the general pleasure in the mixed drinks.
Take into Account the Durability Purchase cocktail glasses that are durable and made of high-quality materials. Glasses made of tempered glass or crystal are long-lasting and elegant at the same time. Glasses that are durable can withstand frequent use and cleaning, ensuring that they will last for many enjoyable cocktails.
Popular Online Stores for Cocktail Glasses Smokey cocktails A caters to both professional and home bartenders with an extensive selection of cocktail glasses online. They offer a wide range of designs and styles, so you can be sure to find the right glassware for your tastes.
smokey cocktail focuses on handcrafted cocktail glasses made by skilled craftsmen. Your cocktail experience will be enhanced by the exclusivity of their one-of-a-kind and limited-edition designs. They also offer options for personalization for those who want a more individualized touch.

Things to Think About When Buying Online Reputation and Reviews from Customers Before making a purchase from an online retailer, investigate their reputation and read reviews from previous customers. Examine customer feedback regarding the shipping experience, the quality of the glassware, and customer service. To ensure a pleasant shopping experience, select retailers with good reviews and a solid reputation.
Valuing and Limits
Contrast costs across various internet based retailers with track down the best arrangements. You can save money by looking for discounts, promotions, and bundle deals. However, if you want to make an investment in cocktail glasses that are both long-lasting and appealing to the eye, quality should always come first.
Shipping and Returns Policies Before making a purchase, review the shipping and return policies of the retailer. Make sure they have dependable shipping options, reasonable delivery times, and safe packaging to keep things from getting damaged in the mail. Moreover, find out about their merchandise exchange in the event that the item shows up harmed or doesn't measure up to your assumptions.
Conclusion By enhancing presentation, influencing taste, and adding a touch of elegance, investing in the appropriate cocktail glasses improves the overall drinking experience. Take into consideration the various kinds of cocktail glasses that are available and select ones that go well with the drinks you like. Consider discounts and prices, as well as shipping and return policies, when making an online purchase. You can improve your mixology skills and create memorable occasions with friends and family by selecting the ideal cocktail glasses.

2023.06.06 13:53 Deathbyillusion 2 Delivery Orders Now?

I don't know if this is just my area or if this is something that's happened before or something new because I've only started since November. But I've noticed lately as far as this week I've started to see like airport back orders or Home Depot orders where it will say a two delivery order. This kind of stinks and they're even taking more money from us now because if you would have taken those two separate orders by themselves, you could have gotten the two orders anywhere from $11 to $15 each depending on how big the orders are and the distance.
Now this is different than the bachelor's that they do say for like Walmart or hellofresh or Best Buy where they'll put several orders together.
Because for airport bags they usually don't bundle those and you just do single orders and same for Home Depot orders yes they may claim all you earn more money and technically for that single pickup you would be earning a few dollars more but now you're delivering the 2 places.
I just wanted to see if other people had been experienced this recently in their area and I don't know if this is something new they just rolled out.

2023.06.06 13:41 JTCasino Met Person Gets Angry With Vendor For Telling Customers “I’m not with the store.”

Don’t a lot of Met people do the same thing? And if it’s true why get so angry at someone about it? This is regarding a Solar vendor who out and out refuses to assist customers with most anything unrelated to solar. Even associates get angry when this person tells customers “ I don’t work for Home Depot/I’m a vendonot with the store” even though it’s totally true. Maybe other Solar Reps are more helpful and take more of the burden off of the shoulders of associates and that isn’t the case with this particular person.

2023.06.06 12:01 Embarrassed-League38 I brought back the Nicotine Fiend Battery and this time it’s 7S2P w/ 65W PD/PPS

I brought back the Nicotine Fiend Battery and this time it’s 7S2P w/ 65W PD/PPS
These cells came out of MaxFlo Duos(?) it’s been a minute since I switched to Elf Bars so I don’t remember if that’s how you spell the brand name.
1450mAh cells that seem to be capable of 3A continuous and 5-10A peak. I’m not pushing them hard and that’s why I chose 7S2P, less current draw and the board I’m using is buck only so I’d need at least 6S to use the 20V PDO (I’m not charging the past 4.05V). I attached my little load earlier and cranked it up to 2A buy it’s late and I don’t want to wake anyone with the fan noise. At 18W charging my DIY powerbank with 4x 21700’s the board isn’t even warm.
Is this dangerous? Ehhh not really. Is my design janky? He’ll yeah. Is it somewhat safe? Actually it’s fairly safe but there’s always room for improvement. The nickel strip connections could be done in a way so that they line up better but I’ve got kapton tape over the top of the nickel and the cells are partially encased in barley paper with two sets a 4S and a 3S. The 3S just needs a piece on top and both need end caps. The nickel can’t touch any of the pouch cells thanks to how thick barley paper is.
Obviously without a BMS I’ll have to wire up a 7S balance lead and make sure nothing gets too out of whack, another reason why I’m not charging past 28V=4.00v per cell. Won’t discharge below 23.80V which would be 3.40V.
I’m guessing that I’ll only have a useable capacity that’s 50% of the rating. The cells did test 100% at 0.2C. Any cells I did high current discharge testing with went to the Home Depot recycle bin.
Kinda wish this was a bidirectional board but those can have very high charging currents. That’s why my IP2368’s primary 4S1P Pack is made with P42A’s. If there was an IP2368 on here (as a 4S) and I used a 100W charger it would almost certainly start a fire

2023.06.06 11:07 hokey-cokey Would you pay for this service?

My idea is to be parcel drop/delivery/postal go to at my home.
So, I’m out of work due to a disability, I’m able to get around and function just not enough to work ‘properly’, anyway, I’m going crazy not doing anything so have been racking my brain! When I was working and bought items online, it was always hit and miss if I’d be home, parcels would be left ‘in a safe place’ 🤨 or sent to the local depot for me to collect, I’d be days before I could go and collect both due to my working hours/family life/opening hours. Likewise, I had the same issue with sending parcels back. So my idea is, people can get their parcels delivered to me and can either collect from me at a time that suits them or I can drop off to them when they’re home. And the same for sending parcels back. And for larger items, they could request me to go wait in their home
What do you think? Suggestions and ideas are very welcome

2023.06.06 09:48 catlover9955_ What rights does my family member have to my grandpa’s house?

FL, USA
My grandpa passed away in March of this year, his uncle (so this would be my great great uncle, they were both in their late 70s) lived with him for 5 years, in a home my grandpa owned. My grandpa did not have any will, but my brother and I have been appointed as personal representatives.
When he moved in, the original verbal deal was my uncle would pay $400 a month in rent, a year into the deal my uncle says he wants to remodel the kitchen in my grandpa’s house as this was supposed to be long term, the kitchen project was supposed to be completely bank rolled by the uncle. Uncle took out a two year loan with Home Depot for the kitchen, and than asked my grandpa to pay half of the monthly payment, AFTER he said it would be his financial responsibility. My grandpa couldn’t afford his portion of the monthly payment ($380) and instead, uncle just stopped rent payments to make up for my grandpa’s portion. My grandpa was very upset, as he made it clear he couldn’t afford the kitchen remodel and uncle made it clear he would be paying, but didn’t want to shake the boat as he had to live with him, so he went along with it.
A year and 10 months later, my grandpa died pretty suddenly. My grandpa struggled financially, and unfortunately the first worry that came up is “Who will make the house payments?” Which had already been paid for march. My uncle wanted to keep living in the house, so all we asked for was for him to keep up with the mortgage.
He refuses to and says he is entitled to keep living there at no cost, as he put equity in the house in the form of a kitchen remodel, which added value. The original agreement was letting him stay for the last two months of the two year kitchen loan, as that was their rent agreement - but now he just refuses to leave or pay the mortgage. He has now put a $50K lien on the house, as he says this is what he’s invested in the house. Can anyone just put a lien on your house now?
Just to reiterate, the kitchen is paid for, my grandpa paid his portion via free rent, and we did let him stay rent free those last two months. He also refuses to let us enter the house to start going through anything, citing tenants rights. We are working with an attorney, but the answers are slow and not very clear. Will we have to start the formal eviction process? How is this lien enforced, would we have to challenge it? Note, from my understanding, this is a “claim of lien” and not a judgment. The goal was never to make my elderly uncle move, but the house payment needs to be paid, and he refuses to do that.

2023.06.06 08:31 Past-Gur-4779 My (22F) dad (58M) can’t get a corporate job despite really wanting one, and it is very painful to watch. Any advice on how I can help him?

My father is turning 59 in February. He was a stay at home dad for most of me (22f) and my sister’s (20f) childhood, so he was out of the workforce for around 20 years. He has 2 Masters degrees but they are unfortunately from Devry University. He got them back in 2006-2008. He is apart of the generation that easily bought into scams like that, and also really values having a corporate 9-5. Before me and my sister came along he was a project manager for Home Depot for a while. But that was back in 2003. My family still feels the pain of the massive amounts of debt/student loans he took on to try and get that education.
He interviews for these corporate roles at places like Walmart or Nordstrom, but can never seem to land the job. He does get called back for 2nd interviews at times.
I can see the lack of success in the job world really weighing down his confidence over time. Especially when my mom (his wife) just landed her dream role and we uprooted and moved over halfway across the country for it. It is heart breaking to watch my father try and try, and never get anywhere.
He had one job recently where he was a manager for a location of a security company, and I think he really liked it. But we had to move so he has to sort of start from scratch. The company was a national company, but it is not popular in our new town like it was in our old town.
Right now he sells guns at Cabellas as an associate, but I don’t think he likes it. He would feel better about himself in at least a manager position.
What advice would you give someone like him? Are there things I can do or tell him to do so he can maybe better his chances? I was thinking of asking him if he wanted to try some mock interviews or something, but i’m only 22 and still in college. So not like I have a ton of experience landing and interviewing for bigger roles anyways.
Thanks in advance y’all, i’m open to all suggestions. Have a nice day.
Edit: I am extremely appreciative of all the advice I am receiving and have received so far. Responding to as many of you as I can on this busy Friday afternoon. If I don’t get a chance to respond, just know your message is received and again very much appreciated. Thank you!.

2023.06.06 08:04 Jpoolman25 What is it like working night shifts?

I saw board at local Home Depot store, hiring for multiple positions part time. But I worked at Walmart as overnight stocker and was wondering is it worth applying for part time position. It seems like every age group works. But lot of people complain about not getting enough hours, underpaid, sometimes horrible customers interactions. Everybody seems to be hiring but they don’t want to give good pay and hours, is this why people keep bouncing from job to another for better opportunities .
