Repost: Since my last post of this was labeled as "Misinformation/Unsubstantiated", i'm going to guess that the lack of evidence (although I showed the mobo in past updates) was the problem and am entering photos of a test I just did as well as the ones from before. I also am showing the mobo I used for the test, which I will be putting into a headset with a RX6600m soon.


Hey guys, great news! I finally got to testing the Mobo for the headset i've been working on and seeing where the limits with the 5500u and the iGPU within lasted, not expecting much! However, it looks like I was very wrong!
I started off by using my phone and Ivry since i'm still working on the HMD connecting with SteamVR and the new displays are yet to come! I then used the VG motherboard and connected it to see where it would last! I only took screenshots at the start of my testing session and will take video soon! However, VRChat, NeosVR and SteamVR Home (although with some tracking problems at the home) ended up working! I plan on finishing the VR Gloves soon and pairing them to see how many games work with the headset!
For now, it looks like, running PCVR on a standalone headset becomes closer to a reality!
More updates to come with time, hopefully i'll have the actual GPU connected and running with the headset (I do notice a little choppiness here and there within SteamVR Home, but I think I just need to set tracking to 90hz)!

2023.06.06 15:14 FriendlyPinko Theory based on a Spoiler - Randall...

I've been getting real worried about our guy Jim and how erratic he's getting and kinda unstable. The whole interaction between him and Randall in s02e07 struck me as pretty sus. Just when Jim is already spiraling and developing theories about the town being some kind of experiment, Randall, one of the most destructive characters in the show puts ideas into his head about people in the town being "in on it".
And that got me thinking, could Randall be the guy who's in on it??
Now I've gotta admit I've been kinda skeptical of the whole controlled experiment theory for a while, but if it were true then is there a better character to be the mole?
Randall is a new comer to town. Ever since he got there he has been causing friction (Diner, Colony House, getting into Jim's head) and undermining almost all of the town's authority figures (Donna, Boyd, Kenny - if you can calm him an authority figure).
And (SPOILER), we know from the now-pulled future episode summaries that in s02e08 "In their pursuit of the truth about the town, Jim and Randall hatch a dangerous plan", and in s02e09 it will be revealed that "Panic spreads through town as the residents face a chilling new threat to their survival. Jim realizes the magnitude of the mistake he made by enlisting Randall in his cause."
Now, I'm not saying that it's an experiment, but if it is could it be that Randall is working for whoever is in charge and has been sent to the town to intentionally sow discord and crack the community's cohesion hastening their downfall?
Might this also explain why he has been so protective of his things? Could he be carrying something in his bag he doesn't want the residents to find out about that might reveal more about who he really is?
Or is he just an asshole? :/

I (19F) have PCOS, which is pretty much under control, in terms of regular flow.
I've always had moderate periods tbh, but the level of discomfort thanks to pain and mood swings make it unbearable. I've used sanitary napkins ever since I got my first time and it feels icky, sweaty and uncomfortable. It shifts, it sticks and it needs to be trashed away, which (even though it shouldn't but thanks to my country's culture) feels shameful.
A year ago, I found out about menstrual cups and I loved them, even though I hadn't even used them. It sounds comfy, nice and most importantly eco-friendly.
Though, it sounded great, I've had my reservations about it, coz well tho it's a one-time investment for 5 years, it is expensive, plus putting it inside my vag feels idk a bit weird.
However, today I finally showed the courage, dished out the money, and got myself, my very own menstrual cup. I wanted a place to share my excitement for trying it out and also my fear surrounding it. Can you guys please help me out if you've used a cup before? What should I keep in mind before using it?

But it sounds literally identical, and I smell an attempt to avoid a copyright claim, as multiple other people have also recognized and commented about that same Kaval sviri video on HLB’s social media posts. Can you tell a difference?

Alright I’ll try to be clear about this so sorry about the long essay :/ Things you need to know first: my parents aren’t normal; my mom is BPD probably and my dad is a narcissist. To be honest Im not completely sure but I know they aren’t stable like ever. My eldest sister, sis1, is a psychiatrist yet very emotionally abusive (pits siblings against each other, always our parent’s golden child, manipulative, attention seeking, and likes to be in control of our lives). A few days ago a huge fight broke out between my dad and us (sis2, sis3, and I + my bro tried to help and take a neutral position) regarding financial matters, unfairness, unequal treatment…etc. I’ve always been aware of this issue and used to believe that if I can’t have my emotional needs met then I should at least have my financial needs met. So I’ve already brought up this issue on my own several times, but I would get scared after getting shouted at and shut down. My approach that day (during the fight) was less explosive than my siblings because I already knew what was going to happen and felt really sad since I especially don’t know how to deal with my father. My other siblings have their ways when asking for money or help or anything really. I can’t seem to unless I completely mask and manipulate which I’m not very good at doing almost times unless it’s necessary. Anyways on the day after my father acted like nothing happened and was being “normal” (his usual self). He called over sis2 and she told sis3 to come with. She went to him and he was interrogating her about her grades as usual (we are all in college) and once he saw sis3 he also asked her. He doesn’t really ask it’s more like “I keep on seeing the three of you constantly spend w time with each other, and this isn’t healthy for your academic life. I wonder about your future and don’t see you studying. Life isn’t as wonderful as you think where you will live with unlimited internet access… We have had more experience…” He usually calls sis2 because she draws negative attention to herself (of course unintentionally and because sis1 doesn’t like her and paints her in a negative light, like she is the devil and she preys on sis3 and I but that’s another topic to get into because she always does this with anyone including my cousin who she despises and believes strayed us from the right path into her control, bullshit) the way she does that is because of her fallen grades and lack of executive function (she has ADHD) (my parents believe this is HORRIFIC cuz she is in med school) (all of us are except sis 3 and I are premed and we get almost the same grades as always so they think we are “good, independent kids” sometimes). Anyways I joined them and saw my dad just starting to eat this ice cream cake that has been left in the freezer and uncovered for a long while next to meats and spices since February. He asked if anyone wants some too, I said “No” in a shocked way and said “this has been in the freezer for so long! I’m sure it’s something close to rotten!” in a disgusted manner to be honest. He got defensive and said that ice cream doesn’t rot. Sis2 then came to the room after and was mad at me because I was inconsiderate and shouldn’t have behaved like that with him. That I could have enraged him and made him press on about her grades. I didn’t understand at all like how in the world was it related. I got really annoyed because it feels like I’m always on a leash whether it’s sis1, sis2, or my mom. It’s like any action is wrong. It made no sense to me like it was so trivial because I truly believe that isn’t the issue. There are a million other things making him already press on about grades and interrogate like how she has been sleeping in sis3’s room for the past week, how she is completely ambiguous about her grades (from the second term and we are currently in the third as well as last midterms), how she is tardy about exam times…etc. I also hate to say it but she is demanding and needy about certain reactions like if I don’t give her something specific she doesn’t recognize it and mocks me for it. She already has self deprecating humor sort of and strongly leans towards perfectionism regarding her looks. It’s hard being around her when she speaks about it all the time saying shit like we are so bald and ugly, we have a parallelogram facial structure, our genetics are fucked…etc. it’s so unhinged hearing it from her everyday and she completely denies any positive qualities it’s so damn weird yet she is needy and needs validation about her opinions, her looks, her letters, texts, hygiene. It’s so hard to make her see problems from my view and every time I try it is hard for me to articulate. She is also very analytical and hyper fixates on a lot of things. I’d not think she catches up on any emotional subtleties even though I always try to. It just feels so unequal. I felt shocked hearing her say I was being inconsiderate. Was I really in the situation?

Sometimes I wonder how my mum gets like she is. And then I remember my nana, AKA mum's mum.
Very briefly, I don't like this woman. I can't genuinely think of one redeeming quality in her personality or habits. From bending over backwards trying to justify her wildly abusive husband to her own self-righteous catholic guilt complex, every time we've interacted she's been nasty, nasty, nasty all the way. Luckily for me the family basically chased her away and pushed her to move down to Tasmania when the news broke about her husband. I haven't spoken to her in years and I plan to keep it that way, so this is something I heard about more from the sidelines.
A couple days ago, my uncle called my mum to vent about something which was relayed to me because gossip is like air in this house. Nan, her husband and her sister (I think) were on the mainland visiting the family they have left. My uncle has a fairly young kid, who has the dubious honour of being the youngest in a line of grandkids who systematically want nothing to do with nana.
Naturally this means two things. One, Uncle and his wife are very cautious about disease especially with the plague still going around and a family history of asthma. Two, nana has to come coo over the baby who doesn't have the voice to say “get out of my face” and shower her in home-made dolls that will do nothing but collect dust because they're more like collector's items than kid's toys.
So in the days before their arranged visit, nan's sister tests positive for the big plague. And because she presumably doesn't want people to die, she tells nan and her husband because if she's got it, they definitely have it and they're going to visit a household with a very young child – a bad idea in itself because of that fact alone – and they're immunocompromised. So the logical thing to do is hold off on the trip until they test negative, which Uncle asks nan to do before they arrive.
Nan's well-adjusted and logical response is to blow up at him, cancel the entire trip, pack her bags and leave the mainland, claiming her sister “convinced herself she has the plague”. Declaring people have 'convinced' themselves of things is her usual go-to if something is inconvenient for her personally. Mind you, for the entire call with Uncle, she's clearly sick over the phone with coughing, snotting and congestion.
It's baffling that her response to “please provide a negative C-19 test before visiting our young child” was to leave the entire landmass. I'm not complaining that she's gone, by god. But I can't wrap my head around it.
Is it bad I'm kind of crossing my fingers after hearing she's got it?

We will be re-opening both the Puzzlewood and Starving Rock zones for the event. For those of you unfamiliar, the Puzzlewood is a high-level area intended to be completed by large groups where players are pitted against against waves of monsters that increase in strength with each successive wave. Starving Rock is an autolevelling zone where players try to kill as many monsters as possible and can be completed at any level. We’ll also be releasing another area, Castle Ket. This area will be located on Kordan, but it will be an autolevelling zone for the duration of the event.

-Budget (USD): I have the money to spend, just trying to figure out if it's worth it.
Some other preferences: I would love to be able to experiment with flow control at some point. PID would be preferred
The two pieces of hardware that I am looking at have been the Lelit Bianca v3 and the Option-O P64. Am I crazy to consider this setup for my first espresso setup? Is this overkill for a handful of drinks a week? I'm trying to stick to the philosophy of "buy once, cry once", but I'm also having a hard time convincing myself that I need a $5k setup. But I also know that I should be happy with these machines for years, without feeling like I missed out on something.
Do you have any other recommendations that wouldn't be as expensive?

I am trying to wrap my head around how to play a VJ loop in sync with my mix. The setup is as follows - one A&H 96 mixer + 3 CDJ 2000nxs2 players. There is also a projector (not sure what type) to display a ~2hr VJ loop on the wall.
How can that loop speed be synced with the BPM of the mix? Also, which player would control it - will it be the current Master player?
EDIT: One more question, will it work well if I'm mixing 3 channels?

Something similar to skyrim, that isn't Skyrim and that is faster. I only have mouse and keyboard to play and I'm linda tired of FPS, other genres don't work Very well with M&S so I'm left to resort to this.
I'd really prefer that It focuses more on meelee weapons or special abilities/magic. It can still have some guns as long as a decent part of the gameplay is still the special abilities.
I did enjoyed a lot BL2 with krieg, so If you know any First person games with meelee as crazy as that, do recommend.

But Jesus the amount of abuse I'm getting over text is unreal because I've not been responding and everything gets filtered into my block list.
He said "I will be wanting a DNA test and I will be taking you to court for 50/50 custody because you're not controlling anything".
So I said thanks for making my decision completely solid, I could never bring a baby into this mess.
And then comes the abuse of I bet you lied about this pregnancy, I bet you lied about the other one too (which i aborted), all you do is lie and you're a massive piece of shit etc etc.
I could go on, I'm so fucking annoyed, I'm shaking. He's had so much proof, I've even shown him the scan and he was invited to that but made up a bullshit excuse why he couldn't come, but apparently I'm lying about everything.
I'm changing my number, he will NEVER get to me again and I couldn't even imagine being tied to that loser forever, I know he would never be able to keep the baby safe, he would make an absolute nightmare of a parent.
My appointment can't come soon enough, I need my out and fast! I just can't believe how much he thinks I'm lying, he was even there when I took THREE pregnancy tests.
Sorry for my rant but I'm absolutely mad right now and don't worry I'm not responding to any of his messages again. He makes me feel sick.

So, i found a consistent setup for the Spear Launch, at least for medium height. It worked pretty consistently so far. You need: - a glider - a cart - a spear with a flat attachment (like a plank or another cart) First connect the cart to the tip of the glider. Put the glider in front of you, as near as ultrahand allows. Hold the throw button. Aim for the middle of the cart. The crosshair should be on par with the middle line of the cart (seen on the edges of the cart). Go into the pause menu. Let go of the throw button and hold the ability button instead. Get out of the pause menu. Rewind the thrown spear. Grab it with Ultrahand. Go to the left and attach the spear to the left end of the wing. Get on top of the wing. Rewind the spear once more. Go to the right most part of the wing. The last gray segment should work just fine. Jump before getting launched and then: Get launched! Hope it works for everybody. Please tell me if it worked for you.

I watched his Youtube review in 2018 when makeup was really blowing up.
I stopped because (mini rant ahead) my creepy coworker copied everything I did, including content I consumed, and she was being extremely racist about it as well (e.g. she said that everybody only likes and marries white people- back then I had several friends who were in happy relationships with white people so I don't know what her problem is), and in an attempt to 'one-up' me, she would watch POC make up YouTubers, drag queens, but never discuss any of it with me, but asked me to hang out with her all the time. Friends usually bond over interests, or whatever is going on in their life- she literally wanted my life and be me- it was so creepy, and my life was nothing like she was trying to copy. I know you basement dwelling schizo's idea of cardio is fingering a keyboard while playing League but I've been involved this debate topic as someone that has played both sports.
Cardio is in short, anything that raises your heart and breathing rates and challenge your cardiovascular system.
So which is better cardio? Let me propose two scenarios.
Sprinting in intervals vs Jogging. Specifically sprinting in 30 second intervals for 3 minutes and jogging for 10 minutes nonstop. Sprinting in intervals with limited breaks is better cardio than jogging for 10 minutes nonstop because cardio is about how much overall strain you are putting on your cardiovascular system. When you are sprinting, you are exerting maximum effort, your breaths are going to be the most shallow and you are putting maximum strain on your body. If you are sprinting for longer durations with limited breaks, you are putting the most strain on your cardiovascular system and getting the best cardio.
Duration of cardio does not mean better cardio. Length of cardio does not mean better cardio. Walking 10 miles is not automatically better cardio than jogging 3 miles. Walking for 10 minutes is not better cardio than sprinting for 30 seconds.
Basketball two sports with different intensities and run distances. A soccer player on average runs about 7 miles. A Basketball player on average runs about 2.55 miles. These are heavy assumptions since there is no data but the assumption is on average a soccer player plays about 75 minutes to a basketball players 25 minutes so we can say relatively basketball players and soccer players run the same distance in an equalized setting.
Which brings us to our conclusion.
Basketball players sprint more, get less breaks, and activate more muscles in their workout since they have to jump more when playing and use their arms. The only thing soccer has on basketball is more distance and that's only because the games last longer.
The sport which requires more CARDIO(increased breath rate, heart rate, and strain on cardio system) is basketball.
