I'm currently looking at a 2010 Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSi SE. It has about 70,000 miles on it and I plan to drive around another 50,000 miles before upgrading (so in about 5 years time). I was wondering if anyone could give me a reason not to buy the car (I've heard it might have some engine issues).

Okay, so I'm currently in my early 30s. I spent a lot of my career working in video/film production - writing, editing, producing, camera work, etc. I also spent some time as a video engineer for live events but I eventually got tired of it. I took a job doing QC work after I moved to the east coast, and have been doing that ever since. Once the pandemic hit, I made the decision to attempt a career pivot, and after three years of networking and researching, I recently received a job offer for a position involving QA work at a company I admire. I'd be taking about a 4% paycut, but I'll at least be getting in the door to an industry I've been wanting to be in for a long time.
I'll admit - I'm scared at the moment - I'm not sure if my transferrable skills are good enough, and right now I've only seen a few YouTube videos on coding and feel very green about it all. I was very transparent about my experience during the interview process but I still was given the job. I know everyone I talked to said that I was a great fit culture wise.
The imposter syndrome has been kicking me hard this week and I really hope that I haven't made a mistake trying to do this career pivot. I've been waking up anxious, thinking that I'll walk in on day one and won't be knowledgeable enough to be a worthy asset, and I'll be let go by the end of the week.
Should continue take the plunge into the unknown and pursue this thing that I've been dreaming about obtaining for years, or just continue to stay where I'm at, knowing it'll be safe with a stable income (at the cost of being incredibly monotonous and spiritually draining)?

2023.06.06 22:06 Rx2003 1987 e150 crank no start-no spark or no fuel? (In-line 6 engine)
TL;DR is in bold My daughter's 1987 Ford E150 (4.9l straight six) has a crank no start condition. Not sure how many miles, but this thing is old. It all started when her battery had a parasitic drain and she kept needing a jump start. I noticed that her fuel pump was making crazy noises and was running for 30-60 minutes AFTER turning the vehicle completely off. She has two fuel pumps, one in the tank near the back bumper and one on the van's frame on drivers side. The one on the frame was the culprit making noise. So I tracked the issue to what I believed was a bad relay and after just bumping into it, the issue stopped. So at this point I think the relay was stuck in the on position and bumping it must have unstuck it. So replaced the relay. Immediately after that, whenever you turn the key to the on position, the relay would click on-off-on-off super fast, making a buzzing noise from the relay. I read this could be caused by a bad ground so I made my own ground and hooked it to the relay. Sure enough, it seemed like the problem was solved whenever the new ground was connected to the relay. Unfortunately at some point during this process, the van decided it WONT START AT ALL anymore.
The relay is working properly and I can hear the frame fuel pump turning on and off when the key is on and off, and the fuel lines near the engine shake a little when it's on, so it seems like it's working properly. But the van still wont start. The van wont even try to start now, it cranks just fine, but there is little to no indication of combustion happening. So I sprayed starter fluid in the intake a few times and still nothing. Not even a little bit. It just cranks over and over with no rumbling/ combustion sounds. I felt like this means it is not getting spark, otherwise if it was just short on fuel the starter fluid would have caused it to at least make some rumbling and combustion sounds. Am I right? So I took out the three spark plugs furthest from the front bumper and they are extremely black and had a lot of carbon sooty stuff on them. They seemed to be gapped correctly. I tested them against the block and they still sparked!!! So now I am stumped. I replaced those three plugs with new ones and plan to replace the others, but now I have no idea if this is spark or fuel related. Halp!

Hi guys, I’m going to have a tour this weekend with quite some twisties and I’m thinking about my cornering and practice on trail braking. But I’m wondering if this works combined with heavy engine breaking.
Some context: my first bike was a GSXR600 (4-cilinder) and I did some track days with it. Big fun :). I replaced it last year with my dreambike: a Streetfighter V2. The bikes are completely different, I know. Especially in corners they behave very different.
I’d like to practice on trail braking this weekend. Now my question: I’m riding with engine braking in its highest setting. Which is fine for most trips. But in the twisties I think I’ll slow down too fast if I combine it with trail braking.
What is your experience? Turn it to a lower setting? Or keep the engine braking and just forget about trail breaking?

 | Hey y'all, looking for some affirmation if this is worth investing into. I have a 97 PSD 3.55 with lsd. Plenty rusty. Tow boats for work. I dropped nearly $6k already on a rebuilt tranny and new rear leafs, shocks, and drums. Kinda kickin myself for not doing a manual swap. It's got a ton of body rust. I need to redo the seats. It rides like a park bench and has a hole in the muffler. Seems to run strong, though. I want to buy a hydra and a 4" turbo back exhaust. Y'all think it's worth spending another $1k on this for that ? Or run it as is? Save for a 6.7 or newer 7.3? It rides like a park bench and I read that I can do a RSK on it. I could get some super duty axles with 3.73, leafs, rsk and wheels for under 2k. Am I wasting my money investing so much into this truck? Thanks for reading. 2023.06.06 22:05 RetardedCrook911 PS5 crashes everywhere
TLDR: PS5 (CFA-1216A) started constantly crashing in games with CE-108255-1 error. After that It started happening in the main menu. I don't have a warranty, so I am trying to find someone who can give me a clue on where the issue lies so I can either fix or replace something myself, or sell a kidney to take it to the shop and ask them to re-solder every component in hopes of fixing this. Now, the whole story: This ps5 was working fine for me for just over a month, then it started crashing in the game (once in 2 days or something, didn't think much of it). After a few days it started crashing a few times per day, which is when I decided that maybe it needs an update. After the update it started crashing much more (2-3 times per hour). After a few more days it started crashing just when the game starts loading, and eventually it came down to crashing IN THE MAIN MENU (it freezes and after the black screen it loads back in and loops through this process). Fortunately, after a couple of reboots this issue dies out, but the games still do not open. But I have found that this is only true for ps5 games, ps4 games seem to be fine. After leaving it for a week (without the cord in), it crashed a few times and stopped for 5 days, after which the same symptoms appeared again. Sometimes crashes just give you an error (if it is a game) or restart the main menu, but sometimes it just freezes until you hard reboot. What I have tried (none of these helped): 1. Clearing cache and rebuilding the database 2. Reinstalling the os (including the option with the usb and data deletion a few times) 3. Cleaning it without removing (as much as I could without removing the warranty sticker. Why? because there is no way I am selling it even to a repair shop for parts without it, people have no trust). It was clean, but I did it just to make sure. 4. Leaving it upside down for a few days. I used it horizontally because of the issues some people had with liquid metal pouring out, so I suspected that maybe something similar happened in this case as well and flipping it will kinda reverse it (don't judge, I am desperate at this point :)) 5. Taking both side panels off and blasting two large fans in it. I did this to rule out overheating. 6. Changing the HDMI cable, power cable, and even the controller to Dualshock 4. I have also tried two monitors (one of them is 4k, other 1080p) and a 1080p TV. 7. Turning it on without HDMI plugged in, in case it is a problem with HDMI. I have checked that it still crashed by literally listening to the sounds of main menu through the controller's headphone jack (when it crashes, the main menu sound stops and after a few seconds you hear the "opening the user" sound). 8. Turning off WiFi, sleep mode and other bs that is recommended. I think this problem is not related to overheating, as it does not sound like a jet engine and I never had any frame drops or accompanying messages. There were artifacts, but I would rather attribute them to ones which occur when the HDMI signal is suddenly lost, and not faulty GPU, because they are constant and freeze forever until you reboot. Also, an important thing to note is that neither graphical settings nor resolution affect the issue in any way, so I doubt that this has something to do with PS5 not being able to "Handle" more demanding tasks (yeah, like opening the main menu :))

Maybe some problematic files are not reinstalled when you install the OS even from USB and I need to wait for a full on update to install a newer version from USB. But when it will come out? IDK. Also, crashes seem to appear more frequently just when the notification appears on screen, which is kinda sus. In addition to that, I had no crashes in safe mode. 2. Power supply issue. Maybe it just can't supply enough wattage for the APU to work stably so it has to crash after some fatal miscalculations. But again, IN MAIN MANU in 1080p? 3. RAM issue. Maybe one of the memory chips has a broken bit or something, which is fine when it is not used, but when PS5 tries to address it, it crashes. So when it is working fine, I am just very lucky I guess... 4. WiFi issue. When reinstalling the OS I have noticed that it crashed when doing the initial setup on the step where you put the wifi password in. Maybe a coincidence, but skipping this step enabled me to finish adding the account. But I also could add wifi later. In addition, I had some crashes before the "choose user" screen appeared right when the "could not connect to your network" notification appeared. This was a 3 second lag before loading as normal. 5. HDMI controller issue. Nothing to add, maybe it just needs to be changed. I have contacted a local technician with this problem, and his response was "yep, this is a common problem, we use those for parts" đź’€. I have not found anyone online with such an issue, but maybe some of you saw something similar. Just give me an idea, that would be much appreciated. I don't have a repair shop and at best can call myself an amateur, so I don't have any fancy tools or donors lying around, so any bit of info will help. They are not trainees, they are career professionals. On the "RSE-1" side, they tend to be research techs or similar positions, usually with Bachelor's degrees. On the "RSE-4" side, they tend to be fully trained, independent researchers with completed PhDs. They are the rank-and-file of scientific research. The staff is very talented and I enjoyed working there but the core infrastructure computer systems they relied on were relied upon too frequently with no secondary IT infrastructure leaving very narrow opportunities for maintenance. This frequently resulted in IT staff being forced to work on sunday mornings perhaps several times a week to update and reboot servers or replace failed storage server disks or other maintaince defect elimination chores if you valued the management avoiding your sphere of influence.
Of course no overtime was considered. the cold draft beer fridge was provided to help you forget about all the other things you could be doing with your weekend.
Extended durations of IT infrastructure systems use without maintenance for example continuing to use end of life network switch equipment for 14 years always eventually creates exponentially more significant reliability problems especially if you’re a business that never reboots for updates or forgot to service your air conditioning condenser units resulting in a July heat wave causing the aircon units to fail to chill and instead blow hot air, overnight... into a sealed concrete room full of server equipment.
I’ve previously been hired in my youth to maintain a bread oven but that was working as a pizza delivery chef. This server room had it not been discovered would have started a fire at very least when the backup tapes all reached flashpoint.
In addition both of the two previous IT staff members were fired or quit leaving all of the responsibility of a business’s IT systems with many defects and reliability concerns to me to attempt to address. Some of the issues I resolved were comical.
For example a 2 cent ethernet cable end with the important role of connecting the main network router to the ISP fiber optic connection disconnected the internet when wiggled slightly for a business with 60 employees because the cable end was stretched and rotten.
To be fair I enjoy these challenges but there’s realistic and reasonable volume of end of life systems affecting reliable business operations one person should have to address when that business entirely relies on Information Technology Infrastructure systems. I used to fix these issues with two to five experienced people as a managed services engineer.
To paraphrase the problems this place needed to be shutdown and tons of important equipment replaced, “everything” reinstalled and repaired but I was trying to duct tape and wood glue the holes in the boat, with sixty passengers while it was traversing an ocean. Both of the windows server virtual machines wouldn’t install winrar.

The insurance underwriter ultimately refused to renew the insurance policy until the qualifications were legitimately addressed which I offered to assist with, legitimately any way I’m able to contribute. It was noted business administration concerns are outside my wheelhouse.
This is a business that had also been compromised by ransomware and held for ransom. They had every operating system software update possible entirely disabled, were compromised, paid the ransom, recovered the data and then reinstalled all of the computers again with all of the software updates disabled.
As a result of the state of this businesses IT system defects at the time this business never qualified for cyber security insurance the previous year, before I was responsible for the entire IT department.
I politely declined to illegitimately affirm and sign the documents as I value avoiding being arrested or sued however the company owner and my manager didn’t appear to share my enthusiasm for motivating legal legitimacy. The illegitimacy wasn’t considered a dilemma for the scapegoat.
All of the IT system defects and end of life equipment reliability issues brooded tension where the company owner and hiring manager decided not to renew my contract. I was perhaps even a little pleased to be relieved of the burden of management inept at responsible or reliable IT systems ownership.
I had considered why they fired my predecessor and the other junior tech quit and moved to the opposing side of the country. Evidently that wasn’t a coincidence. If you don't want to answer phone calls a few time zones can become a great avoidance strategy.
After my contract renewal HR meeting with the production studio manager and HR lady had wrapped up where it had been agreed I’m leaving with a positive reference I did receive and still have for a senior role, unemployment eligibility due to the improvements to the company I completed or endured and the insurance illegitimacy circumstances I had believed everything was fine.
Surely there’s no cause to be concerned by this overall experience where the manager for reasons may have believed I was inept, considering all the IT systems I maintained during my employment term in contrast of all of the references and experience I posses.
My hearing isn't always that great because I have tinnitus so if I'm not paying attention to what someone is discussing nearby or perhaps even on a telephone I may disregard ambient discussions if I’m not observing someone speaking.
I recall the manager muttering something behind my back and the HR lady replying with a comment firmly stating with a concerned tone “but then nobody will hire him again...!?” which followed with what appeared to be a disagreeable exchange followed by the manager appearing to threaten to fire the HR lady if she didn't comply with his instructions.
I’ve suspected the instructions may have been to add my identify to some HR employee candidate blacklist database.
i'm not completely certain of or if what i heard being discussed was in relation to me because I have tinnitus or if that is a legitimately plausible but I’ve exhausted willingness to continue relying on the positive reference I received despite having completed my contract term.
There is it. It’s a tale of plausible abuse by management of a senior employee that quite realistically saved a business from creating of sixty more unemployed employees but I’m still left with concerns if it was possible the HR lady, under duress of being fired from a new position had caved and done something to ensure I would never be hired by anybody.
The HR lady was fantastic but the management certainly didn't display motives with the utmost integrity.
Does anyone know how or if this would be possible?

I am having issues with deploying a django 4.2 project. When I push it to Heroku I get an application error that reads, "An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details. You can do this from the Heroku CLI with the command heroku logs --tail."

I had my upper eyes done 2 weeks ago and got my sutures taken out 4 days ago. I woke up with stabbing pain after the sutures was gone (it felt like there was a suture left in my eyelid) and went to the emergency room. The doctor there told me that my eye was infected and sent me home with some antibiotics.
I was wondering if anyone had experience with this before and how long does it take to heal? I started my meds two days ago and it does feel better but I still feel stabbing pain and I'm worried. I have a follow up with my surgeon but he is not free until the end of the month and I just wanted to hear someone else's story or if anyone is on this boat with me.

"Yes, one of my finer pranks." Garl remarked, stroking his beard. "Even to this day, people talk about it."
"You know as well as I do, what happened that day." My Emperor's voice low with threat. "You know well what caused this conflict in the first place. Ever pointlessly causing pain and humiliation for a laugh, no imagined crime is so slight that the punishment is not disproportionate in your gaze."
"What are your intentions, Stingtail?" Garl asked. "Is it your desire to see my people utterly wiped out?"
"There would be no greater justice!" My Emperor hissed. "Yet it is by vow with my Imperator and Bahamut, that in spite of my better judgment, I offer a compromise."
"A compromise?" Garl asked, I wasn't sure if his shock was real or feigned, "From you?"

Garl seemed to think about it, then smiled. "If you kneel." He said. "That's your favored tactic, making your enemies kneel? I will allow your spawn to rebuild, but you must kneel and pledge your undying service to me, as my personal fool."

"It is the very least I could do, to make reparations for that day." Bahamut spoke. He looked at My Emperor and approached him. He knelt and said, "I do not pledge fealty or loyalty, this is not a debasement, but one more reparation."
"Stand." My Emperor spoke. He hopped off the stage as Bahamut did, and after a moment of hesitation, he too knelt. "Understand, I do this only because you have earned my respect, Justicemaker." He stood up. "My people have a long way to go, in order to have the peace they richly deserve. I swear, as long as you aid me in that goal, I will do what is necessary to maintain that peace."
"That is all I need." Bahamut replied. "I hereby grant your faithful permission to perform acts of righteousness in my name, if you ever deign to allow them to worship me."
"Only if you allow your faithful to invoke my name, should they ever need to pay evil unto evil."
"I do not believe that will be necessary." Bahamut replied. "Yet I shall allow this."

"That's just an excuse to stick around as a Kobold for a while." My Emperor teased.
"If the danger has passed, why not take this time to celebrate?" I asked. "We have a week's worth of food stored, why not have a feast?"
My Emperor nodded. "An excellent idea. Bring our subjects up, I want them singing our praises by afternoon."
I went down with Galax, we didn't have to do much to get everyone going up. Food was brought out, ovens were fired up, and food was laid out for everyone to eat, drink, and generally just enjoy themselves for once.
Everyone regarded Rakdo with some hesitation at first, but when he said he was on our side, that trepidation faded and they welcomed him to the Warren.
A handful of people brought out instruments, either kept safe from little over a year and a half ago, or they had made by hand. We still didn't have Bards, and they were most assuredly Awoken, but they played what music they knew with passing skill, making use of the stage so that our sound-amplifying magic items could allow them to be heard by everyone.
Of course, I took a moment to introduce our guests of honor, Bahamut and his seven companions. Though the latter were stern and not at all talkative, they were respectful to anyone who treated their God with respect.
Being guests of honor, they had a place at the table set for myself, my Emperor, and my Council.
Since there hadn't been any formal planning behind this, anyone who thought they could entertain everyone had a chance on the stage. A cadre of teenagers got on the stage, and being former theater kids back when school was something to worry about, they put on performances of Shakespearean plays.
It was in no way, shape, or form professional, but everyone seemed to enjoy it.
"It's been a long time since I've seen you smile like that, brother." I looked at Tallyn. "I'm glad to see the world hasn't completely crushed your spirit."
"I'll crush the world before I let it crush me." I replied.
After the plays, a lone Kobold got on the stage, nervous as all hell, holding a leather-bound book. "I- uh, I would like to read a story I've written." He said. "If it would please our Imperator."
"You can't do any worse than I would!" I called out. "Impress me with your best effort, the content of the story can only enhance it!"
He seemed to take my words to heart, as he began reading a story, of Kobolds and Dragons fighting against an insurmountable foe. Everyone listened, enraptured by the tale he wove. By the time he finished, hours had passed, and he received a standing ovation, his Awakening only intensified the crowd's cheers, we all knew what he was, there was no doubt about it.
"As the first Bard of this Empire, come, have a seat at our table." I spoke. "And please, tell us your name!"
"Hakku, Imperator." He said, bowing.
"Come, Hakku, this honor is well-earned!"
Hakku sat with us, he was shy and soft-spoken. "I took to writing because I'm not good at much else." He said. "I've written ever since I could hold a pen, I've actually amassed enough of a collection of them that I'm not even a quarter of the way done with them."
"Hakku, would you be willing to take on the title of Councilor, to guide our entertainers, our storytellers, to give them the infrastructure they need to succeed?"
"Y-yes, Imperator." He said.
"I look forward to your contributions, Councilor."
Many others tried their hand on the stage, some were absolutely terrible, but everyone was a good sport about it.
As the feast dwindled to food scraps and bones, our Emperor stood and addressed the people.
"There will be no need to retrieve that which was brought down below." He spoke. "This is my domain, and I say now is the time for the symbol of our Empire to rise."
We all hurried to the outside of the town, far enough away that it was small in the distance. We watched as our Emperor channeled his divine power, raising up the entire town along with several strata of earth, before placing it nearby us and making it sink until it was flush with the ground. Then, his hands raised to the skies, Darastrixthurhi rose up from the ground, stone and dirt cascading off of it until what remained was a massive fortress structure.
Walls of stone rose, adjoining the fortress with the town.
Once the signal was given, we walked in, our homes untouched, undamaged, and looming over us was the fortress.
"Behold." Our Emperor spoke with such pride and reverence. "The Fortress-City of Darastrixthurhi, Thousands of empty homes awaiting our habitation, entire sections devoted and dedicated to the comfort and safety of our talented Warren." He looked at us. "The town we stand in is as much a part of it, is as much a vital aspect of our city. You are free to choose where you live, space is plentiful."
"Ah, but your Temple dwarfs mine." Bahamut spoke with a tone of humor.
"It is a fortress fit for Dragons." Our Emperor spoke. "Not a Temple to my glory. Nonetheless, I welcome you to my city as an honored guest, for you have done what no other would in these long years."
"I am honored." Bahamut replied. "May this day foretell many years of peace to come."
With the feast over, the Warren of course went in and explored the Fortress City more closely, marveling at the architecture, admiring the stonework. At the pinnacle of the city was the entrance from the underground. I gazed upon the throne and looked at my Emperor.
"Go." He said.
I ascended the stairs and sat down upon the throne. Even being made of stone, it was comfortable, with a pleasant little nook for my tail. My Emperor stood beside me, his hand on my shoulder. "Unburdened by endless stone, behold the lands beyond." He spoke. I could see for miles, all of the way to the enemy encampment.
"This city is going to need a lot of infrastructure." I remarked. I stood up and walked down the stairs, looking upon the staggered sections of the Fortress City, seeing the potential it had. I could see people gathering in a large empty space below, several people pointed up at me, I waved back.
"Councilors, gather!" I commanded. Within a handful of minutes, they had managed to get up here.
"You needed us, Imperator?" Tudru asked.
"I want you to look down, tell me what you see."
"A defensible position." Tudru spoke, as he looked down.
"A magnificent work of art." Hakku breathed.
"Dead stone, lifeless." Merti noted sadly.
"Nothing that's worth my time and effort." Tatla remarked.
"Long streets and narrow alleyways." Nakk observed.
"A logistical nightmare." Rekka sighed.
"A shrine to self, as delivered by our Emperor." Galax remarked dryly.
"A home, built for us." Tallyn stated hopefully.
"A mighty fortress that serves as the Empire's jewel." Kalith spoke.
"A very long drop." Goss muttered as he backed away.
"A giant fuckin' rock." Kuvli helpfully opined.
"Endless potential."
Everyone was startled when Fox stepped out of the shadows, he darted forward, catching Hakku as he almost fell. He pulled him back up and gave a formal bow. "Asgorath grant you steady footing." The Monk spoke. He turned his head slightly. "And less OSHA violations."
We couldn't help but laugh.
"Who is Osha?" Our Emperor asked. "Have I been unaware of someone who acts with more authority than they are allowed?"
"It's an acronym that stands for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration." I quickly explained. "Their whole thing is making sure workers have the proper safety precautions, and that companies adhere to those standards."
I looked at my Council. "Fox here is correct; endless potential." I said, "My Council, I want you all to gather a large team who can survey the Fortress City. I want empty spaces filled with enough dirt to produce food, I want a sustainable source of water, if at all possible. Infrastructure, trams throughout the main thoroughfares so that the people can get to where they need to go. I give you all free rein to bring Darastrixthurhi into its full glory. I am trusting each and every one of you with this."
They all saluted.
"Dismissed. Take it easy for the rest of the night, for tomorrow, your duty begins in earnest."
They all left.
"I believe we should heed such a command ourselves." My Emperor spoke. "Follow me."
I followed him into a series of hallways, at the far end of which led to a large bedroom. "I intended for this room to be the one in which I kept a harem of women, that I ensure my lineage remained." He looked at me. "Undress, my Imperator."
I did so, and he clipped the lead to my collar before gently, yet insistently pulling me toward a stone bed. He casually decorated it with soft blankets and sheets, and with a single push of one hand, he laid me upon the bed.
"Ruuk Stingtail." He spoke. "This is your reward for your fearless service to me, for daring to stare down a God, and to upstage him." He leaned closer and kissed me, my heart thundered as it wasn't simply a quick peck on the lips.
It was longer, deeper, and I loved every second of it.

There was no fear in his eyes, only rage and hatred. He gripped his spear tightly as a short Humanoid being walked down our street toward us.
"Well, look who finally found his way out of a measly cave." He spoke with a smile.
He was perhaps slightly taller than us, but not much, dressed in bright colors, a sword at his hip, and the weirdest fucking moustache/beard combination I'd ever seen. Beneath his veneer of joyful exuberance was curiosity, and just below that, the faintest smoldering of anger.
"I have been found and freed." My Emperor spoke plainly. "And now Humans mimic your holy ritual in the hopes that you will eradicate us, just like you did during the Dawn Age."
"Yes, one of my finer pranks." Garl remarked, stroking his beard. "Even to this day, people talk about it."
"You know as well as I do, what happened that day." My Emperor's voice low with threat. "You know well what caused this conflict in the first place. Ever pointlessly causing pain and humiliation for a laugh, no imagined crime is so slight that the punishment is not disproportionate in your gaze."
"What are your intentions, Stingtail?" Garl asked. "Is it your desire to see my people utterly wiped out?"
"There would be no greater justice!" My Emperor hissed. "Yet it is by vow with my Imperator and Bahamut, that in spite of my better judgment, I offer a compromise."
"A compromise?" Garl asked, I wasn't sure if his shock was real or feigned, "From you?"
"We both know our worshipers will never stop hating one another." My Emperor stated. "We know the violence will not end any time soon, yet I am willing to grant you leniency for your crime, so long as you do not harm a single scale upon these people, nor seek retaliation against me for simply trying to rebuild what you destroyed eons ago."
Garl seemed to think about it, then smiled. "If you kneel." He said. "That's your favored tactic, making your enemies kneel? I will allow your spawn to rebuild, but you must kneel and pledge your undying service to me, as my personal fool."
I stood up, snarling. "This is not compromise!" I snapped. "This is far more accommodation than you have ever gotten before, or will ever get, and you demand servitude!?"
"I believe the term your kind uses is 'slave'." He replied. "What would be better than subjecting him to the same conditions he forced my people under?"
"YOUR PEOPLE WERE THE ONES WHO STRUCK FIRST!" My Emperor roared, his eyes wide, pupils narrow with rage, spittle flying from his maw. "IT WAS THEY WHO REFUSED TO LISTEN AS WE ATTEMPTED PEACE! IT WAS THEY WHO BROUGHT THIS UPON THEMSELVES! HOW DARE YOU DEMAND THIS OF ME, WHO HAS LANGUISHED IN SOLITUDE FOR GENERATIONS, SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU CANNOT ABIDE MY EXISTENCE!"
"Then it seems you need another time out." Garl said.
"That, I believe, is enough." We all looked as a group of Kobolds appeared from thin air.
"Ah, Bahamut, you debase yourself before your enemy?" Garl asked in a teasing tone.

I swear by the World Shaper, who granted the only justice on that day, I will denounce you, and declare you an enemy of righteous justice, until you have paid back the blood of every Kobold you have slain- including the ones who fell in the ages since- if you so much as harm so much as a single scale on these innocent victims of my nemesis."

24 year old female. No existing health issues. Got normal blood work back 4 months ago… eat well and get regular exercise. Drink in moderation in social settings & no smoking/vaping.
So I’m not really too sure what actually happened… I went to bed last night & woke up feeling super anxious in the middle of the night. I associated that with having a cocktail before bed. Was probably dehydrated on top of my normal anxiety. I’ve been in a pretty anxious state lately… that I’ve just been obsessing over and convincing myself something is wrong with me. So all of the sudden I “woke up” so I think.. & the entire right side of my face was hot and numb and tingly along with my right arm. I don’t think my eyes were ever open I was just kind of aware of what was happening. It scared the shit out of me so much that I couldn’t think correctly & I felt like I wanted to say something and couldn’t. Like I couldn’t speak or think coherently. Then all of the sudden I snapped out of it and was actually awake and conscience and didn’t feel like that anymore and had no lingering effect of it. It freaked me out pretty badly. I don’t know if I was dreaming or what but I snapped out of it and it was almost like it never happened. I have a deathly fear of having a stroke or any kind of neurological issue that could affect my motor skills and speech. Could this have been a dream or sleep paralysis? I feel totally fine today just a little shaken up. I also never had like a crazy headache or any face drooping or any of the other stereotypical stroke symptoms.
