As the title says I beat the game a few days ago, I loved the final boss and thought it was a really interesting idea, but I honestly wished that there was more to everything, more polish, more detail. Let's start with the positives - Fantastic art everywhere, the game looks lovely and everything is wonderfully animated, especially jester - Great story, in both the characters and the main one - Fun combat system, I love it, simply put
There's more than just this but that's just what I can think of off the top of my head
The cons - Lair bosses feel iffy, there's not enough lair bosses and they have very little impact. Y'know how defeating Leviathan removes the fog? The game needs more of that, maybe remove the ability to ignite if you kill the librarian, remove the pawns' DBR if you beat the general, nerf the foeter's things ability to eat shit if you kill the baby. Stuff like that y'know? You're killing their leader there should at least be some kind of impact on the rest of the region. Maybe different effects depending on the boss y'know? - Hero paths, I've talked about these before but they suck, too many are just ___ but better (virtuoso and vanguard), but better with lower hp (alchemist, somewhat nightsworn), but worse (soloist and monarch), but uses 1-2 different but still functionally identical moves (surgeon), or unique and interesting but still bad (physician, intermezzo). It sucks - Act 2's boss sucks, weirdly specific but after Act 3's changes it feels like the only lock-key boss. It wants specifically physical rank 4 damage that can be spammed. It is the only boss that requires something as specific as that, Act 1 wants attack variety and some reach, Act 3 wants high damage and maybe taunt, Act 4 likes DoT cleanse and token removal but really isn't required and Act 5 wants everyone to be able to hit rank 1 with decent damage and maybe DoT cleanse, why does Act 2 ask for such a specific task, you either have to run HWM and get somewhat lucky with trinkets or run ravager hellion. I don't think the lungs should be DoT immune, sure it fucks with the fight but it sucks as is

Biggest issue for me is financial aid so I’m mostly applying to full need schools or publics in NY. So far, the ones I like the most are Columbia, Harvard, and Notre Dame. Columbia is right next to The Met, Notre Dame has a special Smithsonian program, and so many high-up staff members at The Met went to Harvard. Would love a reality check if I truly stand a chance at these schools. I know that without tests or writing it’s hard but just do I have a strong enough base of my ecs/gpa?

I (22y female) is slowly but surely going through insanity after multiple breakdowns, isolation and traumas. I now am a student in a first world country in Europe. I won't give more details, sorry. I now limited my contacts with my family, even the closest.
I was born in one of the most low human development index countries in a third world country, followed by political and economic corruption, obscurantism because of religion (catholicism and protestantism), exacerbated patriarchy and no healthcare. Fortunately, my parents earned enough to provide a healthy lifestyle for me and my siblings. They are intellectuals too and got an education abroad. I was able to go in a good school, have decent clothes and a roof over my head throughout all my young years.
My grandparents always told me how lucky I am, to be born such privileged with parents loving, feeding, protecting and wanting the best for me. Doing everything they can in order to provide the best for me. I'm very grateful for all the sacrifices they had done. Really. I had kinda a happy childhood, despite being troubled by some stuff.
I have an older brother by 2 years who was diagnosed as a psychopath according to a pedopsychiatrist: he attempted to murder me several times during our childhood. We fight a lot as children, but not casual fights between brothers and sisters. My brother once stabbed with a pencil in my head during my sleep because I refused to play. My brother once attempts to put me in fire just for fun. He tortured small animals in front of me just to show-off that he can. I once peed blood because he kicked me in the stomach. He attempts to poison my tea. Fortunately, I distanced myself rom him by the beginning of my pre-teen years in order to live in peace, but those years had a deep impact in my personality. I was a very shy, introverted, lunatic and effrayed teenage girl. I won't speak or engage myself in conversations because of fear. Last time we spoke, it was 3 years ago, he texted me that the first person he attempts to have sexual relations with is me when I was asleep as a young child (3 to 6 years). I blocked him immediately. If it was a joke, I don't know what is funny, it's weird and creepy asf. If not, well, what can I say?
My father is very controlling as well, traditional and become also violent (both physically and psychologically) when he is angry; he also gaslights people when he is having one of his tantrums, but he hides all of that. To the world, he is a nice, funny, loving christian dad and husband, a cool sociable and easy-going dude who seems having a balanced life. But he has a darker side. I know no one is perfect, but he is really something, believe me. If someone said all of the flaws I described earlier, no one will believe me. They'll think I'm nuts.
I've been living abroad since 5 years now, things haven't been easy: I've also being sexually assaulted when I was 19, sexually harassed by my ex-manager at 21, some weird dudes will be agressive towards me without reasons (insults, following me), my first bf was very narcissistic and belittles me for my ambitions. I was in a very dark place since 2020. I was dressed modestly and believe me, all those dudes seemed perfectly normal at first glance. I NEVER attempted to seduce them. I was just isolated, young, naive and vulnerable. I never attempted a class of self-defense back and I was fully focused on school. I have family here (my aunt) abroad but she thinks I'm a naughty, ungrateful, mean and vain girl who speaks shit about her parents. She thinks I'm the problem. And thing is, I've been only recently aware that my parents speak about my personal issues with relatives without asking me. Alright, I've not asked them to not doing it, but I was a CHILD and a TEENAGER back then. I thought I was safe in my own family and house. So everything backfires at me. I don't speak when there is a conflict as a teenager? I'm surely an egocentric and immature who is stupid and unreliable. I don't have friends since my childhood and I don't know anyone in my home country besides my parents and siblings? It's surely because I am a mean girl who never make efforts. I live in the suburb era because I can't afford to live in town as sandwich-course student. So they shame me.
My mother shames me because I don't own my own house. My father told me that I should be grateful as I was invited staying in my family house in my home country during last Christmas holidays. (I am); But then he says "YOU CAN'T DO AS YOU WANT, YOU'RE UNDER MY ROOF. YOU'RE NOT IN YOUR HOME." (While I literally pay all my bills myself here, I have a job and he INVITED me). "I WILL NEVER PROVIDE OR OFFER YOU ANYTHING ANYMORE. YOU'RE SUCH AN UNGRATEFUL BRAT WHO IS ALWAYS ACTING SPOILED. SUCH AN ATTITUDE...."
I'm done with life. Local people here abroad say I'm not home, my own flesh and blood think I'm just ungrateful and just so privileged and I don't belong to the family house anymore. I don't belong anywhere. No matter how hard I try, I always stepped back in hell. I speak several languages, I do well academically, I try to do the best I can in my job, I fulfilled most of my responsabilities, I have ambitions. But it's never enough. I will never be enough. I try to ignore all of those critics but it follows me everywhere. I will make suicide before I hit 30. I am SO DONE with life. F*ck.

When Overwatch 2 was released it switched to an F2P shooter which completely overwrote Overwatch 1. But the thing is, those of us who had Overwatch 1 when you had to pay for it got no compensation for it and the game we paid for ceased to exist. How could they delete an entire game that people payed actual money for? Why not leave the servers up but just not release content for it. I payed for Overwatch 1 and I want to play Overwatch 1, but I can’t because it doesn’t exist anymore.

Grindy as in, the enemy AI spamming endless amounts of strong units. With infinite resources.
Pyrrhus

• Pyrrhus 1 isn't grindy per se because it is fairly short, but the AI for some reason gets an infinite spam of hundreds of FU centurions. Why? No idea.
• Pyrrhus 3 has the Romans endlessly spam FU Legions, catapults and centurions, only stopping if you complete the last side objective. If you don't do this "optional" objective, the mission is absolutely impossible.
• Pyrrhus 4 gives the Carthaginians again an endless supply of FU cataphracts and centurions. Again, the only way to beat them is to kill yellow as an "optional" objective. Otherwise you literally cannot break their spam.
• Pyrrhus 5 also has the Romans spamming army non-stop with infinite resources.

Sargon

• Sargon 2 again features the enemies having infinite resources and non-stop spamming. Yes, you can run past with a large army and the artefact, but it is still annoying.
• Sargon 3: green also has infinite resources and spams all the time.
• Sargon 4: the grindiest mission of them all, with Elam (yellow) infinitely spamming heavy catapults and cataphracts.

Trajan

• Trajan 3 has 2 opponents that have infinite resources and non-stop spam.
• Trajan 4 has Parthia non-stop spamming army without any resource limits.
• Same in Trajan 5.

Yes, all these missions can be beaten, particularly if you use super OP units yourself (FU centurions and helepolis as Romans or mass heavy horse archers as Sumerians), I've completed the campaigns. But frankly I find the trope of creating difficulty by giving 1-2 opponents infinite resources and 20 military buildings just exhausting.
I'd rather have more opponents with less resources so the challenge comes from diverse army compositions or large early attacks rather than having to brute force 20 military buildings every time.

My wife is a big fan of Harry Potter, so lm putting together a one shot for her birthday. I have a few ideas for activities such as Diagon Alley, sorting hat, and maybe some "defense against the dark arts" stuff. However, I don't know what to do for the BBEG and how to get to that point. So I thought I'd draw some inspiration from you all.
It's a party of 4, level 5, comprised of spellcasters. They'll be playing as either a sorcerer, bard, wizard, or Druid. 2 of the players are very experienced, one has been playing constantly for a year, and the 4th is a new player. Just to give you guys context. I've already been assured by the 2 experienced players, "Don't hold back because we're gonna do A LOT of damage.
Whatever you can come up with would be most helpful.

Buckle up, this is gonna be a bit of a lengthy post.
Backstory: My (36f) daughter 13f) is a phenomenal athlete. Her grandparents are able to afford extra luxury care and elite sporting facilities and goods, so she has the best of opportunities to succeed in life. Far beyond what my financial situation can allow at this time. This is mainly why I have been so compliant with them in regards to my daughter. I want the best for my kid and that’s all I have and ever will want.
Due to the fact that they can afford and pay for these things, I have had to relinquish some of my control over sports and stuff to them, and having no car has been an issue for me as well. It’s hard for me to go out of state and such for all of the event qualifiers, and such, so I have to go with them when she qualifies for the Jr. Olympics in track each year. Last year she came in 1st place 🥇 for the pentathlon, and that wasn’t even her favorite event! I am so proud, and again grateful for her grandparents for being able and willing to afford her these opportunities, despite the hell they put me through.
Her father (39m) “Tom” and I were together on and off for 10 years. His mother did everything she could to drive a wedge between us as she dug her nails into controlling my kid. That’s always been the biggest argument between us, his mother’s overbearing involvement in our lives and obsessive need for control over my child. We had to live with them for the first 5 years (which was only supposed to be 2 months) after my daughter was born. The pain and mental anguish I’ve had to go through, while being gaslit, alienated, etc etc, is incredible. I was in love with him though, and I desperately wanted a family of my own. My family is extremely toxic and dysfunctional and I won’t ever subject my kid to the hell I’ve been through, not that my mother would’ve taken us in anyway. His family was the closest thing to a “normal” family I’ve ever been subjected to, so I was hopeful we would follow suit. I kept being dragged along by his false promises that we would be a family and out of their house for years, while he cheated on me and left me behind while he went on his “work trips.”
That all being said, I finally put the nail in the coffin of our sexual relationship back in 2019. We were able to remain friends, and he did a lot for me if I asked in regards to needing a bill paid or an Uber or whatnot. He opened up about his girlfriend who he was seeing off and on while we were together, because she wanted him to cut all contact with me. First it was only to coparent, then it was I got blocked on everything and had to coparent through his mother. The gf we’ll call “Tina,” had an issue with him even speaking to me, probably because he cheated on me with her and she didn’t want him to do the same to her. 😆 Lucky for her, I don’t interfere with their relationship.
Now for the purpose of the post.
My daughter “Bailey’s” track meet was far away as I’d said, Last year, at the regionals, we had to travel far away, and I had to go with them. Usually I have to ask to go with them, and they will say there’s no room in the car for me for whatever reason and make it as hard as possible for me to be there for my kid. However, this time, I was shocked they invited me to go with them, and were super nice to me. That should’ve been a red flag, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We finally get all the way (2 hour drive) to Bailey’s meet, I go to the restroom, I come back, and her father is sitting in my seat. I was actually really happy to see him there supporting our daughter since he never goes due to work or whatever. Then I see his gf, her 3 kids, and her cousin. This is the first and only time I’ve met them. The look on her grandparent’s faces were so smug, like they were getting so much enjoyment from the pain and jealousy they expected me to show. I will admit, I was a little hurt seeing them together for the first hour or so, acting like a family, while I was there completely alone, but I wasn’t going to give them what they wanted.
They never gave me a head’s up or anything, but they all conspired against me to try and really hurt me. When being introduced, my daughter’s grandma went straight for my sunglasses and took them off to “show my eyes off,” aka see if I was crying. All in front of my daughter. I went to introduce myself, and rather than being rude or whatever they expected of me, I smiled and was beyond friendly.

The look on their faces was so satisfying, I wanted to bottle it up and sell it on eBay! 🤣

They were so visibly disappointed, it felt outstanding! They clearly expected me to be upset, cry, and probably attack her, but instead I was sweet as pie. God that was such great revenge, I think about that from time to time lol.
