And we know that everything works together for good to them that love Yah, to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Yah uses evil for the ultimate Good. The best way to position ourselves on the side of Good is to seek to remove any pride from our thoughts and actions. This is done moment by moment through examining our thoughts and rejecting the ones that suggest that we are better than our neighbor.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Yah, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. (2 Cor 10:5)
Recently I felt disrespected by my neighbor and thought “He hasn’t done as much work as me”. As fast as I could, I rebuked this thought, recognizing it as a prideful assumption. I further reflected that my work is only possible through Yah’s grace, so to compare myself to my neighbor in such a way is blasphemous. Going deeper, this thought was rooted in my desire to be appreciated by my neighbor. If I was more firmly rooted in serving Yah, any perceived disrespect I felt would be effortlessly shrugged off, remembering that I am absolutely nothing without the grace of Yah. To avoid pride and stress, we must strive to fully root ourselves in the notion that our work and effort is 0% our own doing, and 100% Yah’s doing. Someone who roots themself in this fact will have great peace and be unmoved by insults.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. (Gal 1:10)
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him: but whoever speaks against the Holy **Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. (**Matt 12:32)
Yah does not want us to feel stressed or insulted, He simply wants us to love and serve Him. Furthermore, to win the moment by moment war against pride, we ought to never lean on our own understanding, and instead consult with Yah in prayer about every situation. We should do this without allowing Satan to trick us with OCD-like thinking. Remember, any thoughts that bring about confusion are not from Yah, for Yah is not the author of confusion, but of Peace. If we feel stress from our thoughts, we ought to reset, focus on Yah in the present moment, pray to Him, submit to Him and calmly trust that He will guide our steps. Yah wants us relaxed yet focused on Him.
Submit yourselves to Yah. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to Yah, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. (James 4:7-8)
Trust in YAHWEH with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes: fear Yah, and depart from evil. (Prov 3:5-7)
A man's heart devises his way: But YAHWEH directs his steps. (Prov 16:9)
Let’s remember Saul, a mighty man of Yah, who seemed to confuse Yah’s grace on Him as His own doings. When David received greater praise from people than he, Saul was filled with envy and rage. This envy and rage was rooted in Saul’s high opinion of himself and his desire to be praised by people. Saul’s thoughts and actions greatly displeased Yah, and led Yah to replace His Spirit on Saul with an evil one, leading to Saul’s destruction.
The Spirit of the Yah departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from Yah troubled him. (1 Sam 16:14)
Now let’s remember David, who was extremely blessed, largely because of his radical humility. Saul greatly desired to kill David, and David had the opportunity to kill Saul twice, yet David had mercy on Saul. Killing someone who desires to kill you seems like an obvious decision. However David chose to pray and consult with Yah before making seemingly obvious decisions. David received the discernment to have mercy on Saul, and let Yah deal with Saul according to His Righteous judgement.
Avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says YAH. Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:19-21)
The next time we begin to desire the praise of people or think highly of ourselves, let us remember that Saul’s demise began in his thoughts. Let us strive for the most pure form of humility, and follow David’s example by keeping Yah in our thoughts, and calmly consulting with Him about every decision, even the ones that seem obvious.
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to YAHWEH: But the words of the pure are pleasant words. The heart of the righteous studies to answer: But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things. YAHWEH is far from the wicked: But He hears the prayer of the righteous. (Prov 26,28-29)
Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, And before honor is humility. (Prov 18:12)

2023.06.06 21:15 StarGP LOA
Hello! I'm in the middle of my semester right now and I'm planning to file a LOA since heavy personal problems are clouding me and I can't focus on studying nor be able to catch up with the missed lessons that I wasn't able to attend.
So, my question is, if the university allowed me to file LOA will DOST accept it? Though, I already received the 3 months amount of my stipend.
Also after my period of LOA, will I be allowed to transfer school near home due to personal and health issues and shift courses?
Thank you so much! ♥️

2023.06.06 21:14 WantedFun How good is shake compared to typical nugs?
There’s a delivery dispo near me that has 14g shake bags at $9.5 each (50% off). Came out to about $90 after tax/fees/delivery when I bought 7, so about $25/oz total.
Is that good? It’s a really fucking good price for weed around me: normally ounces run $75-150 for straight nugs. The same delivery company has (pre tax) $49 oz bags of nugs, and that’s the cheapest I can find.
Is shake really that much of a lower quality? A friend of mine said it’s not really worth it to him, but I’m just looking to get high. All of the strains I’d buy are 30%+ THC, as I have a high tolerance. If it gets me just as much—or nearly as much—THC in my system through my bong or whatever else, I’m happy.
So, long story short, if typical nugs are 100%, what would shake be? 80% as good? 50%? 90%?
I really hope it’s good, because I could stock up for months on just $90 lmao.

2023.06.06 21:13 weddingv Lounge Seating at Reception?
Has anyone done lounge seating at your reception? I’m thinking a sofa and a couple arm chairs with a coffee table, placed near the dance floor.
If you have, who sat there? Is it bad to have it there and expect it to be used mainly by myself, the groom, and wedding party? It would be convenient, but something about it gives me the ick.
Is it only for aesthetics?

2023.06.06 21:12 Turborg Can my employer stop paying sick pay during my notice period if I resign while signed off sick?
I’m an NHS employee who has been signed off on sick leave by my GP for the past 2 months. I have decided that I no longer want to continue my employment and will be moving overseas. My new job however, does not start until late August and I obviously would like to maintain an income for as long as possible during the transition.
My GP has signed me off for another 4 weeks as I am still not ready to return to work and I don’t feel that I want to return at all. My contract states that I am “required to give a minimum 4 weeks notice of termination of your contract” but I am worried that if I hand in my resignation now, as I am currently not working and am unable to work, that the day I hand my notice in will be considered my final day and will then be essentially unemployed instantly, and having to rely on a small amount of annual leave that is saved up.
My contract also provides me with “five months full pay and five months half pay” as my current sickness absence allowance which I am nowhere near exhausting.
Can I hand in my resignation with a date 4 weeks from now, and still continue receiving my sick leave pay for that 4 weeks despite the fact that I won't be returning afterwards?
Thanks in advance everyone.

2023.06.06 21:11 cathatesrudy It finally happened to me
I’ve been playing this franchise since WW and have had all us versions in that time, and over the years have sympathized with so many people who somehow manage to delete their towns and been so grateful it never happened to me…
Welp. Here I am, after running into battery issues with my switch I’ve had since 2019 that I bought specifically to be ready for NH on release, one of the fixes was a formatting thing, I did the backups they told me to do, at least I thought I did, turns out my 1500+ hour island with the complete museum and nearly complete diy catalog is… GONE.
Not looking for handouts, just to vent I guess. I’m taking the opportunity to see if maybe I’ll fall back into the game if I take it slow and just play it as intended this time around since I was kinda struggling to keep working on my island after tearing it down and rebuilding it last year. Just venting. Wasn’t expecting to have to do all this over again til the next version comes out lol.
So to make this more engaging - how would you all approach this? Rebuild with the same ideas in mind? Or start fresh completely and take it a different direction? I’ve been playing a lot more NL recently, maybe this will be what I needed to get back into NH 😅

2023.06.06 21:11 9YearOldSergantJames Custom screen on AP201
Hi, I'm building a really sick pc in my Asus AP201 TG version (which is currently being shipped hehe) and am considering building in a display as I've seen other builds with them and they look sick.
I thought the cover for the PSU (the cover not the bracket) seemed like a Prime location (no pun intended) for the display and was wondering what the dimensions for said cover was so I can plan for screen size!
Also I found a used display that is 174x136mm and was wondering if that would fit vertically (answer either through dimensions or a simple yes no both work -)
Thank you for assisting me in providing this sub with yet another AP201 build in the near future!

2023.06.06 21:09 ineedatinylama Never be efficient, productive or give "extra" at your work. It will come back to bite you.
At a job I had, I worked efficiently, diligently and completed the days tasks early nearly everyday. I would then do small tasks around the office like picking up the kitchen break area and straightening the waiting room.
There came a week where I had a massive workload, and I was struggling to get my cases completed by end of day.
On Wednesday that week, I got an email from the office manager asking me why the kitchen was not cleaned up and the waiting room was not straightened.
I replied stating these things were not in my job description( I attached my job description.) I had only done them because I completed my cases early most days. I stated that I had a mountain of work this week, and had no " extra" time.
A few hours later the OM sent out an email stating she had become aware that the staff had extra time at the end of the day so now our job descriptions included :
"Any other tasks assigned by the office manager".
They included vacuuming, mopping, emptying and taking out trash, cleaning windows etc.
She was going to contact the daily office cleaning company and have them scheduled to come in only once a week.
The staff confronted the OM, with resignation letters in hands, and we stated that we would NOT be doing heavy cleaning duties. She relented.
I almost caused 12 people to lose thier jobs.

2023.06.06 21:08 Virtual_Ticket8901 Affordable cyst removal in Edmonton, Alberta?
I'm from Edmonton, Alberta and I recently discovered a cyst on my back near my spine. My general doctor referred me to a skin specialist for examination and potential removal. However, after examining I was quoted around 400 CAD for the cyst removal procedure, and my health insurance from work won't cover it.
Are there any other options for more affordable cyst removal in Alberta? If you've faced a similar situation in Alberta, how did you handle the cost and what was your experience?

2023.06.06 21:08 LumpyheadCarini2001 I Get It Now...
I'm somewhat new to Goose. Started listening right around a year and half ago. I liked what I heard right off the bat and the more I listened the more I liked. There's no denying they're all fantastic musicians. But with that being said they never really quite got me "there" on an emotional level like Phish and especially Grateful Dead are able to do. Well that changed last night. I've been going through a somewhat dark time in my life lately and music is a big therapy for me. I was watching a Goose show on YT last night (forget the exact one) but they played "This Old Sea" and holy shit that song hit me like a freight train. One of those when the music meets the moment type things. I'm all in now. Hope theres room for one more on this ride. I haven't been to a show yet, but the next time they play anywhere remotely near me-Im going. Hope to meet some of you fine folks there when I do. Much Love.

2023.06.06 21:08 Loopy_Lettuce Pressure/Pain in Head/Neck
I was wondering if anyone else has experiences like this.
Since I was about 15-16, I have been experiencing pretty intense pressure "headaches." I do not enjoy describing them as such, for I can deal with a headache. This is the bane of my existence.
This began following a difficult emotional time for me. In addition, when i was initially trying to figure all of this out the first time 'round, I found out through bloodwork results that i had HAD Mono, but hadn't realized it. So this too could have been a contributing factor to the initial onset. I have been trying to figure this out for about 17 years now. I just recently found out about the ehlers danlos and probable mast cell activation syndrome. I know with this can come fairly easy dislocations/subluxations, which has been the case more than a few times, but this is not my main complaint. What I have read about ehlers-danlos, as well as MCAS, does include some on "headaches," but it never quite describes it fully. My experience can feel like a clamp is surrounding my head; something is drilling into the sides of my skull; like there is something pushing out from behind my eyes; like there is a ball/pressure in the back of my neck/throat that stretches up through the center of my head; a pulsating pressure sensation that leads to pain and moves to different locations. It can affect my vision at different points - making bright colors more bright and it can feel like I am behind a veil. I was told about 10 years ago i do not have a chiari malformation. I was initially diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial hypertension, and had a shunt installed in my lower back -- though this proved to be unhelpful overall. A different neurosurgeon told me that diagnosis was incorrect. I've noticed the pain responds nearly instantaneously to my anguish or fear. I do know that I have pretty strong PTSD from not knowing what was wrong with me for nearly 2 decades and nobody believing me, and that this most likely effects things for me physically. It is just so odd, as nothing has seemed to line up exactly, and it is my job to doctor the work for the doctors. I do have Pectus excavatum, which comes from extra growth of the connective tissue with EDS. I have sculiosis. So there is most likely a muscoskeletal portion to this as well. It is just so frustrating because this is not a "flare-up" sensation. This is something that is present, every single day. It seems to "respond to my thoughts," in that if I become anxious, the pain worsens. I have had only mild and temporary relief with massage and chiropractic. It was never reliable. The pain would lessen when i could manage to find a way to not be in a state of fear. Migraine medications do nothing, nor does tylenol. Something that did help i discovered was a benzodiazepine I took after I recently threw out my back dancing with my son. And interestingly enough, I looked into it and benzos are mast cell stabilizers. In addition, they do keep you calm temporarily.
I am just reaching out here to see if anyone has experienced anything similar in their lovely journeys. :)

2023.06.06 21:08 tsonachiko An attempt at labelling Eve Players
From my time in nullsec I’ve found a few common themes that I’d like to term as player weight classes. This is mostly an exploratory post to see where people agree or disagree and to see how other players view themselves and the players around them.
Null security sovereignty is only as good as its defenders. I’ve spent most of my time in mid-to-high tier reputation alliances and I’ve seen the non-isk costs and true weight of heavy assets for myself and the players around me. I’ve seen a few newbros come up the ranks but most of my experience is longtime casual players becoming veterans and veterans becoming venerated space dudes.
With that said the first category I’d like to present is the:
Nullsec Squire: A player who has navigated the strange experience of nullsec living for some time and hasn’t burned out. They’ve cut their teeth on fleet pvp and maybe some smallgang pvp. They have passable methods for making isk whether by ratting, mining, or their irl wallet (shoutout to my rare explo people, may your sites be bountiful). Typically 5-50b isk net worth and 10-80m sp
Nullsec Knight: A veteran of one or more wars. They have capital assets, maybe one or two supercapitals and usually at least 3-5 characters they use for war and krab. Many of these have no need to krab and just log in for fleets. Typically 30-200b isk net worth and 50-200m sp on their mains.
Nullsec Lord: Largely an intermediate between Knight and Prince, these are people who are committed to accumulating assets but are not ambitious or crazy enough to really dominate the sphere. It is likely they have just been playing long enough that they are the ones left holding the bag/their corps together. Alternatively, a relatively young industry titan. Typically >200b isk and >80m sp on mains
Nullsec Prince: A mining or market mogul, an industry titan perhaps. They likely have their hands in many pies and are the movers and shakers of the null sphere. They often have 20 toons or more but might just have a few currently active, depending on need. Count on them to have titans and jump freighters, nearly every toon a cyno and capital pilot. Typically >1t isk net worth and >100 sp on their mains.
Nullsec King: Has sway over many nullsec princes and was once one in their own right, though now it is likely that they do not actually play the game, preferring to rule from behind the curtain.
As a post-script here I’ve spent some time in wormholes and high sec but couldn’t properly categorize their inhabitants. I can say basically nothing about low sec denizens, except that I’m sure the top tiers are the same. Let me know your thoughts!
