I feel like this is akathisia and not "just" anxiety from withdrawals. What i'm feeling: impending doom, panic, rabid butterflies in my gut, tightness in my chest, pressure and "itch" and quakes in my innards and brain, gastro issues, SI, TERROR. I wanna scream, hit something, run, beat something up, bite, etc.
This started 3 days ago.
Here is my timeline: 8 years total of different antidepressants but mostly escitalopram (lexapro and other brands).
When pandemic started 2020 I was given escitalopram+ duloxetine + alprazolam. Lasted for about year.
2021 to 2023, for 30 months I was on Escitalopram + duloxetine + bromazepam. I decided to quit this year. I was horrified when I read about the benzos I've been taking. I DIY tapered for approx 1 month.
I got into horrible withdrawals. Got another psychiatrist. I thought she was gonna help me taper it out. She gave me mirtazapine. HORRIBLE. That was approx 1 month. Then she said let's try Abilify "baby dose." On the 3rd day I broke down, cried and said I want to be free from medicines. She said she can't help me anymore, told me to go to a CBT therapist. She said the Abilify wasn't long enough to do damage and was baby dose so how to taper that? That was a month ago.
I was doing really well for 1 month zero brain drugs with approx 2 months of zero benzos.
Then I got Covid. Got into a rage episode. Now I am experiencing the things I mentioned up above. The SI is coming on strong. I want to fight though. But when the tsunami comes (especially around 2am lasts until 9am) I ask myself if this is a life still worth living.
So there's 8 years total of brain drugs, 3 years of benzos, 1 month mirtazapine, 3 days Abilify, 1 week+ of Covid. Family told me to go back to the psychiatrist again. I am scared. Another cycle. I'm not sure if any psych docs in my country think of akathisia or take it seriously. I saw the drug side effect description as "restlessness" like wtf. Made it sound like "jitters" before a date.
When I was offered the brain drugs they made it seem like candy. One of my docs even called them brain vitamins.
I want to win this. How do you cope? How did you win?

I am now 3 months sober from Alcohol and i am feeling grateful for it and also I'm in a happier place now since I quit drinking alcohol, with friends and family helping me along the way and getting the support as well and also this great community on here helping too reading your stories has helped very much and gave me motivation as well , I have got back in to my gym routine again since i quite drinking so that's a positive for me , still i am taking it day by day and see how things will turn out over the next couple of months ahead.

I’ve been suffering from limerence for as long as I can remember. to my best recollection i’ve never actually been in love : just limering over men, being in relationship for 2,5/3 years and getting bored and not caring at all anymore and leaving them (often heartbroken while I - besides a bit of sadness because who likes to hurt someone they shared a bit of life with - was perfectly fine)
Three days ago, I broke up with my boyfriend of… 2.5 years. a few months ago, i met someone at work and the cycle began again : obsessed with getting signs of affection, reading into every word or gesture… etc. we have been seeing each other and it’s been - of course - pretty intense. i’ve made progress in a sense that I don’t text like I used to (like a drug addict who NEEDS reassurance and cannot help it). he actually didn’t text me for a week while he was on vacations and I managed not to text. I was proud of myself but I was a mess of anxiety, depression etc. but I did this as a favor to myself : do not stoop too low. don’t be pathetic.
yesterday I read a lot about limerence and realized… it sounded familiar.
then I thought about my childhood. I didn’t feel neglected or anything. but I definitely didn’t get my emotional needs met unconditionally as any child should.
My mother : projected on me all of her dreams. she’d tell me how beautiful and smart I was all the time. but she was also very very very controlling of my body. she could harass me if I had acne or if I gained weight. she once called me a fat cow. she keeps offering to pay for surgery for my breasts and thighs. I started suffering from anxiety attacks following a sexual abuse when I was 7. When she’d see me starting to hyperventilate she’d look at me as if I was crazy and i could see the terror in her eyes of having a « crazy » daughter. she’d stare and that stare was awful for me.
my dad : comes from a broken home. very smart man but doesn’t like anything imposed on him. he could be very patient and reassuring with me when I was anxious and he was the only one i’d go to to calm down. but my dad was away at work 6 days a week. sometimes i’d call him and he’d spare time to reassure me over the phone. sometimes he’d just turn off his phone if he didn’t feel like dealing with my « crazy anxiety ». I see myself one day running around the house and crying in despair because I was having a panic attack and the only person that could actually reassure me had decided he didn’t want to deal with me. getting his answering machine everytime i’d call would be heartbreaking and extremely upsetting for me. and my mom, staring at me and telling me that something was wrong with me. I was 8. that - and my dad would sometimes beat me when i’d misbehave. but it could get ugly as him beating me meant that he had lost control and at this point … well he’d lose control. I took a break from Smash a few months after Sora got released. Came back to play some Elite Smash yesterday. Why am I literally only fighting Zoner characters or DLC characters every game. I have played probably ~70 matches and I can count the non ZoneDLC chars on my hands, and usually those were ZSS or GnW players. So I am asking, what has happened? Have all the people playing characters that aren't absolutely misearable to fight against disappeared? Its only Mythras being unreactable to, Kazuyas spamming their bullshit moves, Sonics spindashing from one side of the stage to the other as soon as they get a stock lead, ZSS players doing virtually the same as Sonic players, just with Flip Kick instead of Spindash, 3 types of Links throwing 200 Boomerangs, Bombs and arrows in yoru direction, Pac Mans camping the entire match behind their hydrant etc etc etc
Is this fun to you? Do people actually enjoy playing the game like this? Most of them also appear to have a heavily drifting stick as they tend to crouch in between stocks a lot or when lose your final stock. Or ZZS players intentionally timing you out when they realize your slow ass character can't reach them if they Flip Kick over and over on Battlefield.
I really want to like playing this game again, I had a great time with it for many years, made so many happy memories playing with friends, at a few locals and in online tournaments. I also really don't want to change who I play just to not want to throw my controller away after every game because I really enjoy playing these characters. I also don't really have a different option than Elite Smash right now since my locals had to close down and all my friends pretty much don't play Smash anymore/never played it.
So I am asking once again, how have we come to this? Why is Elite Smash only Tbagging Zoners and DLC chars that seem to have their only goal in life be "win in the most degen ways possible"?

This started at 4 AM that day and progressively got worse till I went to urgent care at around 7:45 pm. To counteract the coughs, I take brompheniramine-pseudoephedrine-dm 2mg-30mg-10mg/5 mL oral syrup (after this incident, I threw this medication away, it was also 6 weeks past expiration date if that’s relevant). At 4 AM I took 7 mL, at noon I took 5 mL, and at 5 pm, I took 10 mL. I had no appetite that day, so the only thing I had ate was a 12 oz chocolate peanut butter smoothie around noon and 7 cough drops around 6-7 pm. The tachycardia started around 6 pm, I had a resting heart rate around 120-125 bpm for an hour and a half. When I went to the urgent care, they gave me a rocephin shot and a steroid shot, then a breathing treatment. Breathing treatment made the tachycardia worse and my heart rate went up to 140-150 bpm resting rate, with no indication it was gonna decrease. I suspected the medication was the cause of the tachycardia because of what I had read about with side effects, my blood pressure was also 159/~82 and I typically have normal blood pressure. Since my heart rate was not returning to normal, they suggested we go to the emergency room to be safe, so we did. There they monitored me for a while, did an EKG (was normal other than tachycardia), and did multiple blood tests. They never told me the definite cause of the shortness of breath (urgent care: negative chest X-ray, negative for COVID-19, possibly negative for other common viruses but I cannot remember which ones) nor the tachycardia, as the ER doc said the dosage was normal (bottle said 5 mL every 6 hours). They prescribed me with 5 20 mg prednisone pills (took 4 of 5), Z-pak (took all of those), 200 mg benzonatate as needed, and an albuterol inhaler. I am feeling much better and am pretty much asymptomatic other than an occasional cough. Based on the blood results below, I wanted to know if it’s possible the shortness of breath might not have been allergies and could have been something else? Additionally, I am quite worried by the morphology, D-dimer, and troponin results. Is my anemia more severe than I thought? Could I possibly have a small blood clot? Is there a little bit of heart damage? I apologize for all of the questions, I am a worrier.
Abnormal results: Morphology: Polychrome 1+, Hypochrome 1+, Microcytes 1+, Aniso 1+, Macryocytes 1+, Tear Drop 1+ D-Dimer: 0.57 Glucose R: 105 mg/dL (is it possible I have prediabetes given I had only had that smoothie + cough drops to eat that day, 4 hours in between the blood draw and cough drops, 9 hours in between smoothie and blood draw) Troponin 1 HS: <3 CBC: WBC 13.7, Neut% 87.8, Lymph% 5.2, Neut# 12, Lymph# .7, MCV 75.7 fL, MCH 24.2 pg, MCHC 31.9 gm/dL

I’ve been reading up a lot on the band, what they’ve gone through in their personal lives and it’s made me realize just how much has changed, not just for them, but for all of us, and I’m curious to here your stories.
First me, i first started listening to avenged sevenfold when i was about 11, i was a younger kid pretty naive to rock and metal, and very curious about any and all types of music at the time, and a lot of discoveries i made at the time shaped the music i listen to today, and a lot of lasting bonds of interest ive made with friends.
all this experimentation in this album is genuinely the best thing i couldve asked for, as it feels like a big nod to these past seven years for me, from no other than the band that started it all.
