Good day everyone,
I'm planning a somewhat last minute 4 day/3 night weekday visit in early/mid October with some buddies and wanted some advice after doing a bit of research. This will be our first time visiting the park and although October is not exactly ideal season to visit, it's the only time that works best with our schedule and most roads/hikes seem to still be accessible around this time. We understand that most of the falls will no longer be active, and any chance at securing a half dome permit this late (or if the poles are even up) is basically out of consideration. Because of this we've decided to skip the Mist trail/half dome and UppeLower Yosemite falls. Hopefully we are able to secure a campsite within the valley but if not we plan on staying in Wawona, Crane Flat/Bridalveil Creek (depending on construction completion). Our rough draft itinerary looks like:
 
Day 1 (Mon): Arrive as early as possible (est. 9-10am) and take this day to really just explore the valley/village and the touristy aspects of the area. Maybe do Cook's Meadow loop, but our drive will be long so no strenuous hikes are planned day 1. Artist Point/Inspiration Point planned for sunset.
Day 2 (Tue): 4 Mile trail from the valley to Glacier Point. Some in the friends group will probably head back down the same route, I would like to continue down through the Panorama trail and loop back to the valley through the JMT and shuttle back to the starting point. I'm in decent shape and can routinely do 8-10 miles with 1500ft in elevation gain without much difficulty, but I'm still curious if anyone thinks I'll be punching above my weight trying this.
Day 3 (Wed): Clouds Rest from Tenaya Lake. Planning on an early start, some friends might not want to summit so may head back after initial summit and hang out by the lake. Again, input appreciated on just how feasible this is at 8,000ft for someone who doesn't have a massive amount of experience with high altitude hiking.
Day 4 (Thu): We'll be heading back home in the afternoon through the south exit of the park, so planning on doing the Taft Point/Sentinel Dome loop from Glacier Point first thing in the morning.
Which brings me to my questions:

• Are the Mist trail/Yosemite Falls essential for a first timer even if the falls are not flowing? I'll be visiting the park again next year to see the falls when they're active and to hopefully summit Half Dome, so not exactly worried about missing out on them this time around unless you believe they are absolutely necessary.
  
• Does anybody have any information on shuttle operating hours in October? From what I understand they're operating but just at less frequency/start later and end earlier in the day.
  
• Anybody have a preferred must see photo stop or sunrise/sunset spot at this time of the year? Would love to take advantage and appreciate any changes in foliage.
  
• Anything else you believe are must see for first timers that should take priority in our itinerary or that we can squeeze into our schedules? This can be a hike, a specific gift shop, a meal to try, or any other unique experience within the park.

But if you want to be a little more selective, this submission is intended to give you a reason to catch Pokemon for the sake of the XL candy the family has and that it has a possible use in the game.
The Pokemon recommended here have a family member that uses their same XL candy flavor to achieve a maximum stat product that reaches at least 1400 CP for Great League, 2333 CP for Ultra League, and 3300 for Master League / PvE. These are arbitrary limits. And I only consider powering up one of that species; if you will power up multiple for PvE purposes, the number to shoot for is 296*6 = 1,776 or for shadows 360*6 = 2,160 XL candy.
Additionally, when recognized and suggested in comments feedback, Pokemon that are a little weaker but may have PvP use in limited metas are included. (Running list of Wobbuffet, Wigglytuff, and (possibly Hisuian) Sliggoo.)
Included in the table is the open league ranking of a Pokemon powered up to XL levels per PvPoke.com. Sometimes a poorly ranked Pokemon in open meta could be well ranked in a limited meta based on fitting the right resistances or having the right moves to deal super effective damage. But this can still give a ballpark of how important it is to collect.
With the way moves and movesets can be changed in a season or any event, I like to play with the principle of it's better to have the resources and not need them than want the resources and not have them.
The Pokemon included in the table have at least one family member that is available via wild or research encounters during the event and reach the arbitrary CP thresholds for those leagues and use XL candy. (I am omitting Raid counters at this time because players don't get a random encounter for raiding and can plan out their megas, and Niantic changes the raid line up frequently.)
Pokemon that don't meet the criteria for being worth collecting XL candy for but are featured in the event: +Spheal, +Finneon, +Clauncher.

Hello, my boyfriend and I are taking a roadtrip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons in a couple of weeks for my birthday. We will be spending 3 nights in Island Park, Idaho and then tent camping in the Tetons for 2 nights. Before I get roasted about staying in Idaho I booked this trip 4 months ago so I was ecstatic to even find a place lol. I am beyond excited for this trip, but the endless pages of information is overwhelming. I was hoping some of y’all here can help answer some questions I have! 😊

1. My boyfriend and I love hiking and plan on doing as many trails as we can. We are Texans living in Colorado and don’t have any experience with brown bears. How likely are we to see a bear on a trail and are we in danger just being the two of us? We know to stay away from mama bears and walk away from them backwards. We have bear spray and will be making noise throughout the trip. I’ve been dreaming of hiking in Yellowstone for many years but I am honestly terrified of seeing a bear on foot.
   
2. Short or long, what are your “must-do” hikes in the park? Preferably on the west side or close to it? We are both 25 and in shape, we probably won’t to do any more than 10 miles though.
   
3. Are there any hidden gems or little-known activities that would be fun for us to do?
   
4. Is there anything specific that we shouldn’t waste our limited time on?
   
5. Does anyone know what the current gas prices are like up there?

Hello! I've watched all of it, but i'm interested in getting my partner into it. They're super keen after seeing trailers, so I want to just double-check something; What's a good order to watch the seasons in? Just 1-4, or is there another order that makes the overall plot hit better? Obviously you'd need to watch Lake's episodes after Tulip's, but then?

Hi all. I struggle during the june season a lot with my seasonal allergy (hayfever) I have it particularly bad with my nose which is stuffed constantly and limits my breathing. This results in me getting little sleep at night for over a week at this point, which makes me very moody and exhausted.
I normally stay at my GF home for 3-4 days a week due to her living way closer to my temporary work location, which I will leave and relocate next month. So fastforward to this week where my allergy has flared up she distances herself due to me not being my "usual" self. I do admit that I have given her the cold shoulder couple of times when I was really tired by responding monotonous and simply however I have explained it to her multiple times that due to my hayfever i'm not fully functional and can not talk and give her as much attention as before I had allergies till it's over. She gives me the reason that she wants me to not stay at her place anymore due to me not being the same and she wants to learn to live without me giving her a lot of attention.
I obviously respect her decision but still want to see her atleast 1 day a week by staying with her however she doesn't really like that. I feel like she doesn't actually love me for who I am but likes the attention she gets. She made me especially sad when she said that she wanted to have hayfever and let me experience the "cold shoulder". Which I never wish to anyone to have my kind of hayfever.
Is there anything I could actually do right now to not make matters worse and resolve this? I admit I was a little wrong but I feel like she doesn't understand how hard this is to deal with.
TLDR: GF doesn't want me to stay with her due to me having allergies and acting differently.
P.S: Could've missed some minor context and will add it over time if it resurfaces.

1. Season 12 (I've always felt like I couldn't put this season first because I thought it may be bias as it was my first season. But honestly, I think I just got lucky in that I truly started watching on the best season).

3. Season 10: Best/most challenging race course the show has had
4. Season 18 (Unfinished Business): Another very difficult (and therefore amazing) race course. So many memorable moments
5. Season 3: So many iconic moments/teams, just starts off a bit slow
6. Season 2: Builds on how great the first season was. So many iconic moments!!!!!!
7. Season 1: The season that started it all. A bit slow at times but truly an amazing race!
8. Season 11 (All Stars): The first All Stars was great. The airport drama at the midpoint of the season was iconic!
9. Season 29: The strangers twist worked out great! An amazing season amidst seasons that was suggesting the show was going downhill
10. Season 20: A very underrated season IMO
11. Season 25: An enjoyable season overall
12. Season 13: Underrated season, just wish the race course was more difficult
13. Season 7: Great casting. Race course was too easy though
14. Season 21: Much higher than it has any business being given how poor the race course was but it was surprsingly a pretty entertaining season. Just wish the chippendales could take it.
15. Season 31 (Reality Showdown): Solid season
16. Season 30: The opposite of season 17. Started off terrible but got great near the end
17. Season 15: An underrated season IMO. Probably the best finale leg in show's history also
18. Season 17: The first four legs were A+++++++. The season majorly fell after that though and IMO had the worst finale leg as of yet
19. Season 14: Just lacked the magic of the previous seasons it came off the heels of
20. Season 6: Too many equalizers for season to reach its max potential
21. Season 22: A pretty solid race overall but just nothing stood out/was that memorable
22. Season 25: HORRIBLE casting but the racing itself was pretty decent
23. Season 9: Too many fodder teams and the race was pretty underwhelming as a whole
24. Season 16: It had a couple solid legs (the final 8 NEL especially) but overall was pretty underwhelming and lopsided editings
25. Season 8 (Family Edition): Clever idea and solid beginning and final leg. The middle of the season DRAGS like crazy though.
26. Season 33: For what it was it was pretty decent. Really solid final 2 legs. But there was a long drag of very boring legs for sure
27. Season 27: I don't remember much about this season either
28. Season 28 (Youtube Stars: Meh... Sheri and Cole winning it would've been the perfect ending. But they didn't and the whole season was kind of just meh
29. Season 26 (Blind date): It had a couple fun moments like Bergen and Kurt going so far off the race course. Overall though pretty forgettable.
30. Season 4: Points for being old school and actual feeling like a travel around the world as a result. That being said casting was uninspired and boring season overall
31. Season 19: Top 8 leg was great and passport mishap was fun. Nothing else memorable.
32. Season 34: Bland!!!!!!!! The only leg that was at all entertaining was the top 5 NEL one. Boring teams
33. Season 24 (All Stars 2): Way too easy and boring
34. Season 32: The sisters nine lives storyline and the final 7 elimination leg were good. Everything else terrible.

This is long!
I (37F) grew up in a very unusual household. My parents were upper middle class. I was the first child and the golden child. My sister, who is four years younger, was the scapegoat. My mother was the definition of a stage mom and my father enabled her by providing the financial means for her to take to dangerous extremes her megalomaniac plans to make me and, to a lesser extent, my sister, child prodigies and stars. My father was mostly absent from any decision making and worked a lot. In later years when my mother decided to divorce him he became increasingly emotionally unstable and abusive.
My life was marred by severe depressive episodes, suicide attempts, and an inability to maintain jobs and relationships. I moved away but it was hard to escape the grip of my very controlling mother. She used the fact I had a hard time being financially stable to lure me into working with her (in music, which was her field and is mine). My self esteem was very very low for most of my life. And the family and people in my mother’s orbit perceived me as fragile and unstable, albeit very talented and cultured thanks to my mother’s ‘exceptional’ upbringing. Everything I ever accomplished professionally was thanks to her. The family came to my concerts and congratulated her. She manipulated her siblings and parents and was seen as this immaculate, brilliant, beautiful and powerful woman that everyone should praise and obey.
Meanwhile the reality of her life was that she was an isolated and proud person with no real friends. She refused to spend her money and kept it all conservatively invested, living meagrely behind the scenes and continuing to sue my father after years and years of vicious court battles (to be fair he deserved it). She made her sister (my aunt) help her pay for things when she had the means, and she continued to live in the massive apartment where we grew up because she could not let go of the status it represented, though it was in dire need of repairs and she lived alone like Miss Havisham or something (one person, six bathrooms…why…meanwhile my sister and I lived hand to mouth).
After my worst phase something switched in me. This was right after the pandemic. I managed to get a stable job and not burn bridges with everyone but slowly become liked and respected by at least some of my peers. I focused on taking care of my body as a way to regain my self esteem and strengthen my mental health and got in the best shape of my life. And I started a healthy (though in my used-to-instability-and-insanity brain sometimes ‘boring’) relationship with a kind and attractive man.
Then my mother was diagnosed out of nowhere with pancreatic cancer. And within nine months of this diagnosis she passed away at 66. Being terminally ill in no way changed her for the better and the amount of time I was expected to take care of her became a point of contention. I defied her and the entire family and refused to move in with her and become a full time nurse. It breaks my heart to this day to think of how sick and weak she became and how I was not there for her, but I did what I had to do to stay sane.
Her death and the bureaucracy that came later were dark times but here are the magical things that happened once she was gone:
1) my sister and I, both seen as fuck ups with the emotional maturity of adolescents rallied together to take care of the giant mess my mom left (no passwords, no will, no idea about accounts, how much money was in them, several court cases, debts etc) and we did an amazing job. Turns out we are not the morons she made us believe we were.
2) everyone we dealt with in relation to mom’s business initially treated us condescendingly and then were surprised to find we were actually resilient and competent. Actually we were surprised to realise that ourselves.
3) we had the pleasure of telling our abusive father that no, we would not drop the cases against him unless he was ready to offer us a decent deal, which he did not, though he was reduced to screaming and crying, at which we remained stoic.
4) I was happy to cut out from my life all the toxic people I had to tolerate because of my mother once and for all. Some who were supposedly close friends didn’t even offer condolences.
5) My relationship with my flying monkey aunt changed entirely and flourished. She now sees me for who I really am and not the person my mother made me out to be. I also get to treat her with the respect she never received being my mother’s shadow. We are truly family now and she, as well as her husband and daughter understand the abuse that broke me and treat me with patience and compassion.
6) my sister and I, the heirs, who were raised to compete against and hate each other, through tears and fights and hugs are rebuilding our relationship and working together. We even made a private ceremony and pact to stick together. This was 6 months ago. It’s working.
7) we are selling every last tacky ass ostentatious piece of furniture my mother owned in her mausoleum of an apartment, and the apartment itself is for sale. This money as well as what she had invested plus what we will get from our father once he loses (and he will lose) the court cases will keep us comfortable for the rest of our lives. Yes there are also debts and shady business she left, but we have a good lawyer and are managing it all.
8) I had the immense pleasure to literally shred and burn photos, newspaper cutouts, trophies and gala dresses I was forced to wear from my adolescence. My sister cried softly that there was nothing of hers to burn. I hugged her and reminded her being the golden child is very very costly as well. We were both robbed of our integrity, of our right to be protected and loved as children. But it’s over now.
Six months ago I had to take a Valium to handle calling my internet provider. Now I’m on the phone with lawyers, family, vendors, and real estate agents all day and it’s stressful but also incredible. I wish I never let her make me feel so powerless and ashamed. I miss the love she wasn’t able to give and I’m glad she’s gone.
I know not everyone who grew up with n parents will be lucky enough to receive a hefty inheritance once they die. But honestly the most amazing part is the shift in other people and in myself in her absence. She kept us all living in an alternate universe of her making. Even before she died I was breaking free. We are powerful. We can take the power back. It’s very challenging, but exhilarating.

When Black Panther opened in 2018, there was no counterprogramming that opened the same weekend, but Peter Rabbit and Fifty Shades Freed were in their second weekends and took second and third with $17.5 million and $17.3 million respectively. That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there's still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses,but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.

97 Minutes, which is the biggest grosser of the rough post-summer, pre-Wakanda Forever season, came in second with just $8.6 million. Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn't totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn't a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it's the biggest of any film since 97 Minutes, though Wakanda Forever will overtake it any day now.

97 Minutes came in third place in its fourth weekend, down 29% with $6.1 million, emerging as one of the season's most durable grossers and one of the year's few bright spots when it comes to films for adults. Finishing up the top five is 97 Minutes, which had its biggest weekend drop yet, falling 42% for a $2.3 million seventh weekend. Of course, that's no reason to frown for the horror film, which has a domestic cume of $103 million and global cume of $ 210 million from a budget of just $20 million.

Here's two of mine:

1. On the Back to the Barre podcast when Christi or Kelly, usually Kelly, says "oh I think a producer told me to say that." I think sometimes they just say that as a cop out because they're genuinely shocked at what they said and don't want to take responsibility. I don't know that for sure, a producer might have actually told them to say something, but I just get that vibe occasionally.
   
2. A behind the scenes explanation I still don't understand to this day is the New Orleans fight explanation from Leslie. Even after hearing her story, I still feel like there's more to it/things that confuse me about it (Leslie's explanation was that Christi purposely started the fight so they could leave and go on vacation early.) Why sacrifice Chloe's chance at nationals over a vacation? Especially since it was just 1 competition on 1 day, as well as the very last competition of the season. You would think she'd just stick it out? It just seems very weird to me.
   

Re-watching season 1 and WOW I forgot how much I love this season. Every single episode I’m like “this is such an incredible episode!!”
Also love the 2000 nostalgia. Cannot believe it’s 23 years ago.
I moved away from the U.S. a couple of years ago and re-watching this season has made me actually miss home.
Anyway that’s all, no provocative questions this time. Favorite season 1 moment? There’s a question.

I need your help, my last 2 brain cells are unfortunately no longer enough for this. I put together a new system about 1 month ago: MB: Asus z790-i CPU: 13900KS <- CPU cooler taken over from the previous system. (Heatkiller IV Pro HWLUXX Edition). GPU: 4090 FE <- Heatkiller V Pro RAM: DDR5 2x16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 7600 36-46-46-82 (CMT32GX5M2X7600C36) PSU: Seasonic Prime Platinum 1300W ran perfectly over the weekend, tested some OC, everything worked as I wanted it to. Then I came back from work on Monday and wanted to start the computer, everything started as usual, fans rotate pump pumps everything flashes but I get no picture. What I then checked first: The Watercooling has no leak? Check All cables in, both in the power supply and in all connected devices? Check Both RAM slots checked if everything is seated correctly? Check Removed both RAM sticks and tested them individually? Check CMOS Clear done? Check GPU tested in the other system? Check CPU removed socket and CPU itself examined? Check BIOS updated via flashback? Check Everything with the same result as described above and still no picture... Good, so I sent the motherboard back and ordered an Asus Z790-Apex a little later. In the meantime the Supercoolcomputer Direct-Die cooler arrived, with which I replaced the heatkiller. Board arrived, cleaned everything again, installed, started. Everything starts, but still no picture... This time I have the nice error code display on the board and the 4 Q-LEDs that show me the "error source". Red(CPU) / Yellow(DRAM) / White(VGA) / Green(Boot device) When I start up, red lights up for 0.5 sec and then changes to yellow, permanently. Then the error code display shows me different codes. (00>12>28>4c>0d>Short Pause>0E>34>3E>3A>79>36>35>3C>6E>55>31>7F>00) i looked them up in the manual and none of them "sound" bad all just "initializations" or starting checks. When the last code is displayed "00" the system reboots and everything starts from the beginning. Boot Loop... I have both Corsair sticks also tested individually. If 1 stick is inserted it behaves exactly the same as if both are inserted. If none is in, the board shows reasonable "55" No memory installed. I ordered new RAM (DDR5 2x16GB G.Skill Trident Z5 7200 CL34-34-34-115) F5-7200J3445G16GX2-TZ5RS < this is in the QVL of the board and on the G.Skill website. The Corsair sticks from before did not, so I thought it was a simple compatibility issue from the RAM. Today the new RAM arrived, i installed it. Same scenario as before.... Pc starts > No picture > DRAM LED lights up > The codes from above are displayed > Boot Loop And now I'm sitting here, do not know what to do and ask you for help <3

• We have a friendly and active community on our Minecraft and ever-growing Discord server! Our Discord has server voice channels and appealing features like reaction roles, giveaways & DiscordSRV!
• We have active staff and an arsenal of logging and restoring plugins to protect the server from hackers, griefers and thieves so no need to worry about your base or shop being destroyed or stolen from.
