I started with 40 powdered oranges, 20 for the bioactive and 20 for a colony. Has anyone else have them breed so easily? They do well in the arid too. I just culled a bunch in there by dumping a ton more substrate in the plant area( unless they stayed below to live). I know it's long but the bioactive was placed with anoles in 9/20/2020. Nov. 22, 2022 they were taken back to bioactive as some escapees bred, made a twinwall base that is 10" with 8 inches of substrate. This is the videos since from the 10" base. Just a special group? **powdered oranges, dwarf whites, springtails, mealworm/beetles and bsfl/bsf is in the substrate** Since I feed them well as all feeders breed in the anole tank, is there a way to slow the breeding aside from mistreatment as I can't do that, all deserve a great life before being eaten or whatever. I woke up yesterday with a ( baby oranges )few on me and the bed, they are in my bedroom. I live in a 3rd floor apartment and can not have them travel to other apartments. My 9mo pregnant wife was chased by a large aggressive dog in our neighborhood while walking our small dog. She ran away and the dog stopped before making contact, but she’s very shaken up and has some hip pain from running. The owner knew the dog was outside and aggressive, because she shouted to my wife from down the street not to walk that way because her aggressive dog is out, which set the dog after my wife. I’m infuriated with this person for having their dog outside off leash which they know to be aggressive, and stressing out my already stressed, very pregnant wife. Can this person be cited for negligence? Would the police do anything if called in this situation? NJ here, thanks in advance.

I (24F) had been in a long distance relationship with a guy (34M) who I thought was the absolute love of my life for a relative short time. I love him more than words can express and would still do anything to be with him. We live continents apart but I did everything I could to make it work, flipped my sleep schedule around to make time for him, send him little gifts and always reassure I love him. None of that was enough, he was driven away by my insecurities and clinginess. It’s been more than a month since we’ve broken up and he’s basically cut off all contact with me everywhere. I have been feeling miserable and making up scenarios in my head, particularly one where he’s back with his ex girlfriend. His ex girlfriend is 11 years older than me, so much prettier and more accomplished than me. She’s a mother, a millionaire, a pretty big Instagram influencer, was married to a very influential family, a mother, a business owner, traveling all the time, able to give him all the luxuries, be with him in person, and just generally has her shit together. I can’t help but check her Instagram every single day, I’m so pathetic and desperate at this point. Today I saw her post a birthday post for one of her friends and he’s in one of the group pictures. I don’t know if that’s an old picture or they’re back together, I’m leaning towards they’re back together, I need to move on but can’t bring myself to. I feel so shitty and pathetic. I don’t have my shit together, I’m broke, unemployed and in the last year of school, can’t afford to travel right now. I can’t help but compare myself constantly and every single day with her and how I could never compare. Deep down I guess I have to accept that he deserves better and I just need to deal with it and move on. I wish I never fell in love with him, this feels like the end for me. Thank you for reading.

Hi everyone, i [F20] work in a truck stop in rural Ontario. My diner is attached to a gas bar, which is owned by two business partners and they rent the diner side out to my boss and her husband. Every plate goes into this couple’s pocket, they run everything and pay me out of their bank account. The wife, who cooks for the restaurant, takes 50% of every tip when she and I run the restaurant together. When we work with a dishwasher we split it three ways. I have 13 tables to myself, the owner and the lady that washes dishes get the same amount of tips I do. She claims it’s okay to do this because they rent the diner, not own it. I’ve tried to mention this to them and I get shut down every time. What do I do? I’m trying to find another job but I feel like they owe me a lot of money.

Several months ago just before or during last year's big Thanksgiving sales rush, I stumbled upon a store by accident that I'm finding impossible to find again! I thought I had saved the landmark, or even jotted down the name somewhere, but no luck. I'm not finding it in my history of places visited so I wanted to see if anyone here recognizes this store even if I can't think of the name.
The store sold a lot of very cute outfits, hats, backpacks, holdable plushies, etc. that had a kind of "kawaii" vibe to it, for lack of a better term. Most of the outfits were for female bodies but there were a few unisex and male styles (especially for accessories). By and large the outfits were not meant to be sexy, but cute and cuddly and fun. No big crosseyed red-nosed models that I can recall, and not an anime style.
Physically, the store was bright white on the floors, ceilings, and walls. The store was arranged with many rows to display items.. There was very little to zero in the way of decoration.
I want to say the brand name on the outside of the building was in pink, and it was something possibly Asian in name but I'm not 100% sure on this. The store is/was located on one of those big commercial lots, surrounded by several other stores. Which is exactly how I stumbled upon it - I was visiting another store and spotted this one. Probably why it doesn't show up in my travel history.
I didn't buy anything when I visited because I did not have a female avatar at the time and it did not fit the style of the male avatar that I was building. However, I've been branching out more now and want to revisit something that I liked regardless of the style.

2023.06.06 14:40 Habit_Muted Landlord hasn’t updated us on water bill. Roommates are telling me to ignore it
[US - PA] please forgive me if i include wrong information. I have historically been a responsible tenant, even in many sketchy living situations. All of us pay rent and bills on time. Water is not the bill I’m in charge of so I’m just confused about the situation
I live in a great place right now.
The only issue is that no one has paid the water bill. Hypothetically, say I took a peek at our landlords bill and saw that it is an outstanding bill of $1000+….
Before I moved in, the property manager treated the floors as different units, and was in charge of utilities. He then shifted the utilities to us (including water, on the lease). My roommate was not able to transfer the water bill, as the owner (who is in another country), has been unresponsive in transferring the account. There was also an unpaid amount from former tenants that the property manager didn’t address. I’m a little confused that my roommate wasn’t able to sort this out, but according to her, she can’t access the water bill. The property manager has been informed multiple times and I’ve seen the emails. He’s an idiot, and hasn’t tried anything to sort this out either
Our water has not been shut off, since some roommates qualify as low income, and there is a shutoff moratorium. But I’ve been worried sick that our water will get shut off, and we’ll be saddled with a huge bill from various tenants that are long gone. My roommates have told me that it’s his problem, and I bet he thinks it’s our problem. They’ve told me not to bother him about it, because “we have in writing that he knows we aren’t able to pay. Plus, he’s renting illegally so he can’t evict us.” This seems crazy to me, as at least a few of us want to stay for a few years. I don’t want to go against all my roommates, who are generally responsible adults/tenants, or for them to get saddled with a water bill esp since we’ve had subletters and tenants in and out.
Should I go against my roommates and pester my landlord to figure this out, or retake over the water bill and charge us ? (Even though it means he could basically charge us for what former tenants owe)
A $1000 bill divided between 5~ish people is shitty but manageable. What is not manageable is a water shutoff (we have month to month subletters), or having to split a $2000 bill with 3 people (if the tenants that are moving refuse to pay). And if the house is being rented illegally, we basically have no rights.
