2023.06.02 11:29 cardiacbadge48 Need Some urgent help with React Native App Redirection issue. Openeing app from killed state by clicking a notification renders HomeScreen for a second (calls all APIs) and then redirects to a screen. But I don't want to render HomeScreen when clicked on notification. (Explained in description)
I have a react native app which I have developed and used react-native-push-notification for Push Notifications. I have a NotificationHandler function which has the code to handle the functionality after user clicks notification. The code in NotificationHandler.tsx is given Below. In the onNotificationhandler I am making a redux state true to indicate that user has clicked on the notification (dispatch(setNotificationRedirectionAction(true));).
PushNotification.configure({ onNotification: async notification => { onNotificationHandler(notification); }, requestPermissions: true, }); return children;
NotificationHandler wraps the AppNavigation component which contains the navigation screens and navigators. The logic which I currently wrote checks the value of redux variable for notification and based on the value it renders different screens having different navigators and initial screens. The code is as described below.
if (notificationRedirection) { return ( ); } return ;
So as described above I want to render NotificationRedirectionNavigator when the user clicks on notification. But the issue over here is that the redux variable is initially false. And when the user clicks on the notification when the app is killed, since the initial value is false, it will call the HomeNavigator and the initialScreen will call all the APIs (which are very costly). The the redux value changes and it renders the correct screen. But in between the redux state change, since the APIs are called, the customers are facing slowness issues. So how can I resolve this ?
I tried using state variables, AsyncStorage, Context, etc. but all of them are not working. Initially the HomeNavigator is executed and the APIs are called no matter what. So how can I resolve this?
PS: Please help as many customers have complaint about slowness in notification. So anything would be helpful. If any other info required please mention in comment or DM

2023.06.02 11:26 mudderfudden How can I show my music collection by file name and time?
I have this:
Get-ChildItem -Path "D:\MUSIC\" -Filter *.mp4 -Recurse Select Name, Length
The problem is, the length. It's throwing out a number that I don't understand. For instance, one record has the value of '1126301596' for Length. I have no idea what that is. I want the file length to show basically like this: HH:mm:ss. How can I convert this to this format: HH:mm:ss ?
Desired Output:
Name Length mymovie.mp4 02:33:41 my2ndmovie.mp4 00:45:31 my3rdmovie.mp4 03:01:44
This is the closest I got. This won't search subfolders. Also, it returns all items, including directories and does not limit to .mp4 files, but the result does give the Length in the format I want.
$folder= 'D:\AudioTest' $com = (New-Object -ComObject Shell.Application).NameSpace($folder) for($i = 0; $i -lt 64; $i++) { $name = $com.GetDetailsOf($com.Items, $i) if ($name -eq 'Length') { $lengthattribute = $i} } $myItems=$com.Items() ForEach-Object { [PSCustomObject]@{ Name = $_.Name Path = $_.Path Size = $com.GetDetailsOf($_, 1) DateCreated = $com.GetDetailsOf($_, 4) Length = $com.GetDetailsOf($_, $lengthattribute) } }
End goal is to display:
- File Name: No Extension
- Path: Not including Filename
- Length: in HH:mm:ss
The code above shows the entire path, filename included.
Below is a sample of my end goal.
Name Path Length mymovie D:\AudioTest\Artist1 02:33:41 my2ndmovie D:\AudioTest 00:45:31 my3rdmovie D:\AudioTest\AnotherArtist 03:01:44

2023.06.02 11:25 spherical_shell Zig emulating any target architecture - how is it achieved?
On
Home ⚡ Zig Programming Language (ziglang.org), it is stated that Zig comptime will emulate target architecture.
But for most compilers (like gcc and clang for C++)
not all codes can be executed at compile time. However, once we mention "emulation", it seems to mean that in Zig comptime
any code can be executed, for an architecture different from the current machine.
How is it achieved? After all,
for many architectures, you will struggle to even find a working emulator (like many microcontrollers). It takes lots of time to set up.
Even if everything is compiled to LLVM IR, there can still be many machine-dependent issues, see here
https://stackoverflow.com/q/34306069. In particular, the size of C types `long` and `intmax_t` can be different on different platforms.
It seems like making sure emulation works is such an enormous task, which could cost a lots of time, and limit the portability.
So, How does Zig find an elegant way to overcome all these difficulties? submitted by

2023.06.02 11:24 assholus Improving & redesigning ecommerce on Shopify
I am helping out a friend's local small business with their online presence and noticed that their shopify shop is clunky, inefficient and could really use an overhaul. I was thinking about a few ways to leverage chatgpt to help with this task - would love to hear your thoughts
- is there any way to export Google analytics insights in Text Form? Especially interested in drop rates and flow, or time spent on pages after landing
- would exporting a site map and asking chatgpt to improve the overall structure work well to improve the foundation?
- lastly, I want to copy the copy in the main pages and ask chatgpt to help rephrase the whole thing and make it sharper. Also to translate it into other languages to make it more accessible to visitors from neighbour countries
The site is quite poor at the moment, any tips or guidance you might have will be greatly appreciated!

2023.06.02 11:24 AreaConscious7686 Is Blazor the right choice?
Hi,
I'm looking for some advice about starting to develop an Enterprise application.
My Requirements are:
- It should work on IOS, Android, Windows and optional macOS
- It needs to work offline with a Database like SQLite for some Data, but also sync to the Database online to Finally Store it or Display mor Data.
- Furthermore, it should be possible to use USB, NFC and maybe Bluetooth for Android and IOS
- It should behave native with a Fast Response time and have a runnable exe/PWA.
- Also, it needs to run like on Windows Startup
Is Blazor the Right Choice here? If not, would it be the Right choice to build two Applications, one for the web and reuse the Blazor components for a Web view in WPF/MAUI or Maui hybrid? Basically, my goal is to write and support as little as possible code for all the platforms. I also know that with js Interop it is possible to use NFC or USB but limited on browsers and not supported on IOS. I have little experience with Blazor, but never build a full scale application. My knowledge is mostly limited on WPF, winForms, MAUI/Xamarin and java, but I like to develop small things in Blazor lately. Also, I don't feel like MAUI is production ready for enterprise applications and Xamarin is nearly end of life.

2023.06.02 11:21 MegasVazeloktonos Road construction
Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is a bit of a rant.
I will be moving to Frankfurt soon (for a few months for work), and the delays in construction that plague us in my country seem to have teamed up with the corresponding German version to haunt me again.
Just outside of the home I will be renting, road construction has been ongoing for a few months.
The landlord initially told me that it was already going on past its initial due date and hence should be finished until I move in. It still hasn't, and Google Maps shows 2 dates that they will finish, one at the start and one at the end of July.
I can't stand the noise that will be in my ear from construction since it is happening literally in front of the house.
Is there any official German source I can check for actual updates on this stuff? What are the chances it still hasn't finished by late July? Is it possible that this construction will continue in the heat of the summer months?
Also, what are the chances that there is actual construction going on from 7 am? Honestly, I would prefer it if it's just being left unfinished due to negligence and the construction is done, rather than having to endure the ear torture.
PS: For anyone that is close to Ost, could you DM me in case you pass by that road and can give me some info? Landlord is very responsive but unfortunately does not live in FfM.

2023.06.02 11:21 Sinfaroth Just reached W4 after using Candys from the event to push like 7 maps yesterday in W3. I'm not prepared for W4 but here we go.
2023.06.02 11:21 Sloth-With-A-Gun Glitched under the map, but all was not lost.
So we played last night and when we were in one of the bunker caves, I went to get creepy armor off a mutant that was glitched against the wall, it caused me to fall under the map, I was the host so quitting would cause us to lose some progress, not really a big deal but a pain, so I decided to swim for it and eventually I popped out at beach level and was able to keep playing.
