Richmond to atlantic city flights

I live in the wonderfully average French city of Le Mans, home to one of the stupidest yearly events in modern history : An endurance race where cars run round and round a track for 24 hours. Greatest distance covered wins. Car fetishists from all around the world come to this absurd gathering to watch the brrm brrm machines go zoom zoom. This year is the centenary so it's even bigger and more obnoxious than usual.
Today was the parade before the actual event, where the drivers go around town in the cars as the hicks stuck behind barriers take pictures and go wild over the glorious machinery. The entirety of downtown was taken over by this crap, and I had to push my way through a sea of assholes to get home. Just wonderful.
But beyond the nuisance, I'm just appalled that none of those people consider how utterly absurd this shit is in this day and age. Like, I kind of get the point that this type of race had back when cars were in their infancy, I'm sure it led to a lot of design innovation that carried over to regular models, and pushing the concepts to their limit, while still wasteful, was kind of sensible at the time.
But in 2023? We don't need more, faster, or better cars. None of what's being worked on here is useful. It's just a waste, all for the most dubious piece of entertainment I've ever heard of : Cars going around the same boring track again and again and again. It's not even a sport where a pilot's skill is put on display. It's just a contest of pointlessly optimized machinery that fetishists drool over for some god-forsaken reason.
It's the absolute peak of irony that this shit is held in June, which becomes more problematic with every decade as the very cars those people idolize participate in this time of the year becoming more and more of a constant scorcher. Today was a wonderful sultry 30°C/86°F. Heat is a real problem for drivers stuck in small enclosed spaces with shitty ventilations, and it keeps getting brought up every year with nobody pointing out the sheer irony of it. Just... insane.
This shit isn't gonna stop anytime soon, for sure, it's the only thing this city is famous for aside from overcooked pork and I'm sure it's anything but ready to give up on it as a cash cow and yearly tourist magnet. But it's an appalling example of the lack of awareness of car fetishists. They just don't give a shit. Car goes brrm fast for long. Fun.
Fucking hell.

One of the games I have been keeping an eye on since they announced it. All the teasers and trailers have looked really good, so I was excited yesterday when the demo was available.

It ran better than most recent games on my PC (3900X + 3080TI). I play 1440p ultrawide and it was a smooth experience on maxed out settings with the DLSS Balanced setting.
Then I wanted to see if this thing even ran on the SteamDeck and was pleasantly surprised.

I have recorded few clips of it, recording on SteamDeck is not the easiest thing to do haha. Also I am not good at the game yet (copium) but just wanted to show it holding 40 frames at low settings but I prefer smooth performance to quality to be honest.

Its nice to see AAA games still running well on SD for once, after the disappointment of a lot of recently released games. Hopefully the Demo performance carries over to the full release.

Hi all,
I've made a purchase on 6/4 and order was being shipped through UPS Ground to CA. Status today says estimated delivery time is today between 1:30-4:30, but it's still On The Way. Looking at the details, looks like after origin scan, it somehow went to other facilities without any departure scan until a day later it shows departed but from the shipper city. Is this just UPS being late on update, or is this normal? If anyone has experience like this, please let me know how it goes! I hope it's not lost somewhere. Edit: adding screenshot

I am based in Germany and am about to hit the trigger on a secondary build to be hooked up with both a 1080p TV (via hdmi) and an existing external sound card (via USB), which is connected to a relatively high-end audio system. Objectives: - couch-based gaming (GTA V, Football Manager, maybe some light Cities Skylines or Poe,...) - Media streaming to TV (Netflix, Youtube) - Audio streaming to Hifi (Spotify)
I have collected these parts, but not for 794 but 707 EUR. Any suggestions for improvement?
I still have an AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler that fits the case and two left over Arctic PWM 120mm fans.

It's a text based game (Kind of like Disco Elysium) and you come back to your home city I think? It was pixel art and had kind of a dark atmosphere. I think the place you come back to is a real city too because I saw a YouTube comment about them being from there and it's a bad place because the air bad, or something like that. I also think the reason you go back is because your sister died but I could be totally wrong about that. The title is also only one word I'm pretty sure. It's also only on PC because I wanted to buy it on switch but it wasn't there.
Sorry if it's too little info but I can't really remember much else.

Its a little boring. There's no fun environmental story telling skeletons, the broken buildings are generic and plain, and if your not in a town or city there's not a whole lot of interesting things to see. I know this is just a me issue but you'd think you'd see interesting scenes in a dessert. Skeletons by the race way, interesting scenes in the flats, and other minor things. I know this isn't a major issue, it just doesn't feel involved, to me at least.

I miss the days of crazy mileage runs. One year I was like 10,000 miles away from Platinum and was checking out flights to see if I can somehow make that up without breaking the bank. Saw a flight to Hong Kong for like $399. Booked a round trip flight that had a 10 hour wait tome between landing and take off. So I just packed a toothbrush and sat in the terminal for 10 hours. Took and nap and had some food and flew right back. Everything went without a hitch. My wife thought I was crazy.
But I made Platinum and got 10,000 miles, which back then would have been good for a last minute one way domestic flight, so feel like I got to fly for free and still made Platinum.
Anyone else have any good mileage run stories?

Hi everyone, if there is any chance someone could help me with this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. I will try to keep this a short and concise as possible, but it’s confusing to even me so I apologize if this all sounds disjointed.
Following the birth of our daughter in October 2021, my spouse and I filed I-485, I-130, I-131, and I-765. Things were taking awhile but he had his biometrics in January 2022 and EAD in February 2022 after we filed an expedite request. We ran into some monetary difficulties at the end of 2022 when my disability caused me to be unable to work for months. Come the beginning of March 2023, we received notice that his applications had been denied and his EAD was withdrawn, the decision was final. They were basing this off of a request to withdraw the petitions that the petitioner (me) had filed in December 2021. I had never made such a request. I was extremely unwell and tensions were high at the time and we were struggling to pay rent already and couldn’t afford an attorney. So with all of this, my partner got on a flight to return to Australia March 31st so he could work from there and send monetary support and we would figure out how to refile as painful as leaving his family behind would be. We truly felt we had no choice.
I reached out to my contact from the state representatives office for advice. May 5th, 2023 I received a letter stating his case was reopened because they found USCIS error and was being processed again.
May 25th, 2023, he got notice on his online account that an RFE had been issued for his I-131, and to prove that he had been in the US since filing and that he did not leave on March 31st or his petitions would be denied and closed. We also received on May 30th, an RFE request for his medical to be sent in. (We were advised at the time of filing in 2021 to not do the medical yet and just bring it to the interview when scheduled as we didn’t know if the signature would expire before an interview was scheduled.)
I have since been able to consult with an immigration attorney and he advised that he would file a Nunc Pro Tunc for the I-131 to be processed as if he had never left the country since he only left due to USCIS erroneously denying his application. So he can come back to the US and get his medical done here and continue to process. He said it was a long shot but he would attempt it and if it didn’t work then we would have to wait for the I-130 to be approved and file to switch to consular processing. I am now basically a single mom of two kids. I go to school full time and also work but I am barely getting by. And my mental health is deteriorating due to all of this stress. I cannot afford this attorney to write and file these motions.
So what I am asking is, does anyone have advice or know how to file my own Nunc Pro Tunc motion so I can attempt to bring my Partner home. Also, would this even work? I am aware that he should’ve stayed in the US and never left but things were so bad at that time for both of us that we didn’t make the correct decision.

He instinctively threw his sword at the rocket, hoping to deflect it or at least slow it down. The sword hit the rocket and caused it to veer off course. It missed the samurai by inches and slammed into a police car that was following behind. The car exploded in a ball of fire and smoke.

They rolled over to the driver's seat, where they saw that the limo was heading towards a bridge over a river. The driver had been knocked out by a stray bullet.
"Look out!" they both shouted with horror.

I've seen people recommend onward ticket services here. What I don't get is how can you rent a ticket for $10 when that ticket would normally cost you $1,000. Like you're basically getting a $10 flight, no?

... I guess to try and think it through. You never board the flight and the rental is only for 2 days. So does that mean they don't scan your onward ticket at entry?
Any people have actually tried this out?
Can you print your onward ticket rental or do you need to have the phone? (Don't have service at the moment.)

I will start out by saying I’m an A’s fan. I have always had lots of respect for the Giants though, and enjoyed their postseason runs a decade ago. I am wondering if there are ant Giants fans out there that could show up to the June 13th A’s reverse protest game? The idea is to show that the reason fans don’t show up, is because of how ownership has treated the team and the fans, not because we don’t care about the team. I’m wondering if any Giants fans would be interested in going to show solidarity. You don’t have to wear A’s gear or anything, but it would be a nice message if some Giants fans showed up in solidarity. If this is a dumb idea, just ignore me, and if this post isn’t allowed, feel free to delete. It would mean a lot to us A’s fans though if we had some help with this.
