Atari was there at the beginning of home video gaming with the 2600. At the time basically nobody else was making home video game consoles so there wasn't much competition. They were number #1 if you wanted to play video games at home you had an Atari. Then as time went on other companies started making game consoles. These consoles improved on everything the Atari did. The stick figure graphics and beeps and boops were fun in the beginning but technology was advancing.
Atari tried to keep up with the others and released a couple of other consoles but even those were primitive and crappy compared to what others were making by that time. By 1987 you had the NES with games like Super Mario Brothers, The Legend of Zelda, Punch-Out, Metroid, Castlevania and Mega Man. Games that were bigger and better than the primitive old Atari 2600 games. In 1987 Atari was still trying to compete with their Atari 7800. Which had games like Asteroids,Centipede,Dig Dug, Food Fight, Pole Position II and Joust. The same old crap they were doing nearly a decade ago just with a bit better visuals. Sure the visuals were a bit better but the gameplay didn't hold up compared to what other companies were putting out. They couldn't evolve with the rest of the market and kept doing the same old crap they were originally popular for.
In the end they were bought out. While they do still exist today it is in name only. The Atari of today has nothing to do with the original popularity they had and the only reason people pay any attention to the name Atari at all in 2023 is because of nostalgia.

5. Next is Evisa and change of status this took about 6 working days to reach this stage.
6. Next, the medical check application, im not sure if they have different medical centres but i went to Al Quoz
7. After this was the medical results and the Emirates ID application
8. They have removed passport stamping, everything is all online, they send you a copy of your digital resident visa and it is also available on the ICP app.
9. The next step is the Emirates ID card which was sent to their office and i arranged a careem box to collect it.
10. They also provide you with a medical insurance which is linked to my Emirates ID.
11. This took just over 3 weeks to complete.

• Make sure to submit a clear passport photo, they share the guidelines with you as my photo was rejected when typing my Emirates ID application.
• They have medical insurance upgrades available
• They do not need a educational certificate to apply
• It is best to have a UAE phone number so you do not need to go through the hassle of changing your number for your Emirates ID.

long story short, i live in a muslim house but i’m not muslim. my parents would flip if i told them this, and i’ve already gotten in trouble for doing some pretty bad things over the years. i’ll admit i have done some awful horrible self sabatoging things and i beat myself up for it a lot…but my parents in no way helped, just made me feel worse about myself. even before i did anything, im the oldest AND female in—again—a muslim house, and my mom is lowkey emotionally abusive i think due to trauma from her own abusive parents. im just sick of having zero, and i mean ZERO control over my life. i just want to feel free; to be able to have my own beliefs and thoughts and decisions and privacy.
things are “good” with my parents right now, but only because i walk on eggshells around them and dont voice my true beliefs and opinions. i can’t take it anymore, i really can’t.
i am 17 and 18 in one month. in michigan where i live, a 17 year old can legally leave and the cops can’t bring them home. once i enroll in fall classes, i will be able to leave. i have 8k saved up. i guess my questions (sorry there’s a lot but i really need advice) do i even deserve to leave? should i tell my parents first? should i just suck it up and stay? should i wait till i’m 18 and get my own place or just leave now and stay with a friend? (keep in mind in the next month and a half my mom needs 700 in car payments—but if i’m gonna move why would i pay for a car not in my name)

I do not use whatsapp with my regular number and do not wish to. But I've downloaded it for work and now it's asking me to share my contacts, but I don't want my phone contacts to see me on whatsapp - because I've used my work number, and no one has that number, does that mean no one will see it? Or will they see it because they're in my contacts and will they know.
Basically If I use whatsapp with a different number than my contacts have, but my contacts are in the same phone, will the contacts see me/my new number on whatsapp?

November 2021 we had someone move into the 2nd floor from Brooklyn.
A few weeks later the first floor had a german roach. I saw one a few days later.
I used the hot shot roach bait capsules.
I've seen maybe 5 in my apartment in thr last 1.5 years.
I haven't seen any signs besides the occasional egg sac(which wasn't hatched)
We had some dude come in and put some gel in the cabinets and my landlord replaced the fridge of the lady on the 2nd floor bc it was full(he's a cheap idiot)
We also have mice as well.
On the first floor(I'm in the basement) you see them on the counter.
The lady accidentally brought one downstairs when she brought a roll of paper towels down to the laundry room.
Anyway I saw one on Wednesday...killed it...then put that hot shot bait there.
This morning I saw two live ones and a dead one
I killed one and the other away.
My landlord isn't doing anything obviously...we have mice and roaches...I have killed over 50 mice since Thanksgiving with two traps in the ceiling and mouse poop.
I'm assuming I'm seeing more roaches because of the bait but I don't want to attract more to my side of the house.
The kitchen is right above the laundry room...

We live in a unit with multiple people sharing a kitchen, usual case of dishes being left in one of the sinks. One individual gets very upset about the dishes and cleans them every morning, angrily, if there is any dish the rest of the house always wake up to smashing noises. This morning I was up early, I left my phone in the kitchen recording a video I was making, while watching back the footage I discovered the individual picks up the rack at the bottom of the sink and drops it!! Two or three times!! Then goes on to do some dishes, and picks up the rack AGAIN to drop it in the sink. The rest of us have talked about this, thinking it was just them making a lot of noise while doing the dishes. And I'm sure they're just angry about "always having to" do the dishes, because they probably want to live in a place where there are no dishes in the sink in the morning. And I want to live in a place where no one angrily smashes things. Im so tired of capitalism and having to pay to live. I just want a home where I can be at peace and not need to live with 2-5 other humans trying to navigate their interactions just to keep a roof over my head.

hello, this is going to be a LONG one so sit tight. I unfortunately have no friends to turn to for this advice and every member in my family are either divorced or have no room to give relationship advice.
I met my husband when i was 19 & he was 21. I was able to meet him through my best friend who is in the military as is he and we just hit it off. I had ended a prior relationship & this was his first one. The first three months of our relationship was long distance as we lived in different states but covid allowed for me to take the chance to move down here with him, after visiting him twice, for good as college classes moved online. Shortly after we tied the knot, & i’d like to think him being in the military had no influence on this decision but i know deep down it was the best thing to do to provide means for us both. The first year of us being together was what many would label the “honeymoon stage”. I’ve always been a hopeless romantic and always considered that every stage of the relationship should always be the honeymoon stage. But i guess that’s just unrealistic. These past two years i’ve noticed a significant change in the way our relationship is. For example, There would be times we would get into arguments and he would immediately go to comfort me if i were to get emotional but now he has no problem with just leaving me alone to cry, heck there have been countless of times where i would be crying alongside the bed beside him while he slept. There have even been times where events, such as my birthday christmas or the military ball, i would be crying because of an argument and he wouldn’t even care to apologize or comfort me. Even when he should apologize & attempts to he turns it into, “well if you didn’t do x then i wouldn’t have done y and you wouldn’t be crying right now.” Or, as juvenile as it may sound, he would buy me chocolates and flowers on my period and now i literally have to beg to even receive flowers. His excuse is that he can’t afford $5 flowers but he has no issue buying $100 worth of pre workout every month. I’ve always been a “if he wanted to he would” type of girl and i know it may seem trivial but how hard is it to get your girl some flowers even if it’s plucked from the side of the road. It’s just the thought that counts, i want him to want to do these things for me and not because he wants something in return. The last flowers i got was because i told him he could do what he wanted with me if he got me some and then what do you know i have flowers now. Stuff like that just genuinely upsets me. I just want him to love me the way i love him. I’ve talked to him about this things multiple times but i feel it falls on deaf ears because it keeps happening. He keeps telling me he’ll change but he never does. I think what made me want to write this was last night. I finally found a group of girlfriends to hang out with and i was at their apartment. It was two girls who were roommates and we all had a fun genuine times together. It kind of made me think of when i was younger how i’d imagine my life to be in my 20s, I’m 23 now my husband 25, and it made me mourn the life i’ve never had. Living on your own with friends having your own space. & how i’d meet someone who will love me the way i deserve. what’s even worse is that i got a text from him asking when i’d be home and it kind of brought me back to reality. I’ll never experience the life i’ve imagined as a young girl, heck i didn’t even experience a proposal or a wedding. we just went to the court house. A part of me feels like a bitch for even complaining because i know he goes through a lot at work and i try to talk to him about it but he doesn’t open up. He always throws it in my face how he has it worse in life so i shouldn’t complain about things i have going on in my life and he’s also thrown in my face how this is “his apartment” since he pays the bills and it’s like really after three years of marriage and it’s yours not ours? I guess i’ve just come to a point where i don’t know if i’m even happy. i like to imagine my life living with roommates experience the life i wanted and meeting the person who my hopeless romantic side likes to believe is still out there, but then the other part of me wants to stay and try to work things out but it’s like an never ending cycle. I really do love him, when i think about leaving it breaks my heart because i can’t imagine him being with anyone else and i think about how much i’ll miss him. But i just don’t think i’m happy anymore, i always picture myself being the one in a sappy romance movie or novel because it’s lacking in my relationship, & it shouldn’t be that way. i don’t even like being intimate with him anymore because i don’t feel loved by him. our kisses feel empty to me. I don’t know if this is something people experience and have worked on, i am only 23 and i don’t want to call it quits on something that is so important. One thing that does constantly play in my mind is the “three loves theory”. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading. I’m currently on holiday and I have bad Wi-Fi connection so I hope this post will be able to be posted which is why I have to go immediately to the point.
I’ve been dating my BF, John, for 2,5 years, living together for 1,5 years.
As soon as we moved in together, John changed a lot. He struggled with depression, was often very mean to be (calling me names, insulting my capacities in bed, my appearance, my character). He also refused to come to any family events of mine, often telling me that they weren’t fun and throwing a whole fit about it on the way there.
During all of this, last summer, John told me he wanted an open relationship without rules, which I didn’t. So he got very mean about that and just kept it too ‘If we ever feel attracted to someone we should go for it and explore that’.
Starting December 2022, John became a bit more himself. Thanks to seeing a therapist and working on himself, he still repeated that if we ever felt attracted to someone else, that we should explore it and often talked about how he was not jealous at all.
In February 2023, I joined a gay soccer team with some friends. One of the guys, Ben, and I got along immediately. I told John, who was immediately jealous because he knew Ben was my type, going so far as throw fits about it and being very jealous. So I stopped going, however I was still in a messenger group with my friends from the soccer team and Ben. Sometimes we posted memes in this, all very innocent.
In March, my mom got a diagnosis that she was dying. On the day that I got back from the hospital, John announced that he has been applying for jobs in Italy, cause he doesn’t like the weather where we live (Germany) this upset me a lot. In the meanwhile John was still very jealous about Ben and called it suspected that I stopped going to the soccer games.
We argued a lot and John and I agreed on taking some distance from each other. He wanted me to move out cause he preferred to stay at our place alone to think while I had to go back to my ill mother who lives 3 hours away.
During this period of no contact with John, my soccer friends and Ben were there for me, they texted, called and really cared a lot.
When my mother was taken to the hospital, I texted John, who immediately asked me to come back. But upon arrival he was cold and told me that it bothered him that now his thinking proces was bothered by me coming back. This hurt me and while he did try, I went back home.
Ben and the others were very caring and still called me, they gave me advice about John and my mom’s situation.
With Ben in the friend group we started to make jokes a lot and we talked a lot. But both of us were in relationships and we talked a lot about that too.
At a certain moment it seemed like John and I would break up and Ben even helped me find houses.
However things took an unexpected turn and John and I tried to work things out. I had told John about the fact that Ben was my type and that I had felt attracted to him. Ben asked me to cut contacted with him which I was already doing.
So I told Ben everything. He told me that he d an had felt attracted too but that this could be just through texting and that he had sometimes wondered what it would be like to date me. I told him that I had thought about that too but that I was with John. And we decided to cut off contact.
A few days later Ben texted me asking to meet up to talk about it, cause maybe we could just be friends. I agreed an when we met up, we talked and decided to just not be in contact cause there was an attraction still.
I did not immediately tell John about having seen Ben but when I did, 2 weeks later, he asked me to block him everywhere, which I did.
My BF accuses me now of ‘cheating’ which I don’t agree with since he was all for open relations etc and I never acted on that. Could you give me your advice ?

In April 2021, it was reported that Sony Studios had signed a multiyear deal with both Netflix and Disney for shared streaming rights to Sony films coming out between 2022 and 2026. This deal includes Across the Spider-Verse as well as the third film in the series, Beyond the Spider-Verse, due out in March 2024.
As for releases like Across the Spider-Verse, the film will be available on Netflix with "first-pay-window-rights" for the first 18 months of its home media release. While it will not be streaming concurrently with its theatrical release, it will be available on Netflix following its theatrical run.
Some of the films are not currently available on the service because Sony has pre-existing partnerships with Starz, as that's where most of the absent films are available to stream. That is except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is instead only streaming on Fubo TV and FX Now.
For anyone else looking to watch the film as soon as possible, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters on June 2.

As the nation dunks on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for not knowing how to pronounce his own last name, it may be distracting from more important things. To wit: Friday DeSantis signed into law a controversial bill that critics say is “ripe for abuse” by bad landlords.
The bill, HB 133, allows landlords in Florida to charge tenants a nonrefundable, limitless, recurring fee in lieu of a security deposit, or what's been dubbed “junk fees.”
Supporters of the bill — including corporate lobbying interests that stand to turn a profit from it — say it offers tenants an alternative to paying lump-sum security deposits that can often cost upward of one or maybe two months’ rent.
In Florida’s hot rental market, that could be thousands of dollars upfront.
Critics of the legislation have another word to describe the so-called security deposit alternative that the legislation permits, however: “predatory.”
Jay Mobley, an attorney for the Orange County Legal Aid Society who encounters many low-income people in his work, told Orlando Weekly the bill “opens the door for a lot of abuse on the part of bad landlords.”
There are no limits to the fees that landlords can charge as part of this alternative security deposit arrangement, so they could theoretically charge $25 per month, or they could charge $200 per month. “There’s no cap on the fees,” said Mobley.
The bill also garnered opposition from social advocacy groups, as well as labor unions like the Service Employees International Union, which represents many workers in low-wage jobs.
“As written, this legislation leaves working-class renters that are experiencing an affordable housing crisis vulnerable to predatory business practices,” a coalition of advocacy groups wrote in a letter urging DeSantis to veto the bill last month.
“The state is facing a housing crisis, and our communities are being exploited for profit.”
The Republican-sponsored bill was backed by the Florida Apartment Association (which sued Orange County for proposing rent control), as well as property tech companies like Rhino and Leaselock.
It’s similar to a bill that lobbyists for Leaselock helped draft leading up to the start of the 2022 legislative session.
It failed last year, but was revived during this year’s session and streamlined by Republican leaders in the House, referred to just two committees instead of the usual three.
LeaseLock, a company that offers so-called security deposit alternatives to landlords and tenants, has lobbied for similar laws on a local and state level elsewhere.
The company last year came under fire in the state of Maryland for concerns that it violated the state's consumer protections law.
Maryland’s State Attorney reached a settlement with the California-based company, which is blocked from offering such “alternatives” to landlords.
“LeaseLock’s program effectively had tenants paying their security deposits monthly, but, at the end of the lease, tenants got nothing back,” Maryland State Attorney General Frosh said in a statement at the time. “Under this settlement, tenants will get their money back from LeaseLock unless the funds were lawfully withheld for past due rent or damage to the property.”
Florida’s HB 133 doesn’t necessarily require landlords to offer this security deposit alternative.
It’s a choice, not a mandate, Florida Rep. Jim Mooney, a Republican who sponsored the bill, had argued.
Still, State Rep. Anna Eskamani, D-Orlando, told the Orlando Sentinel in April that for people who can’t afford a security deposit, it may not end up feeling like much of a choice.
“A never-ending fee compared to paying $2,000 upfront is, for many people, potentially cheaper, but if I don’t have $2,000 and the legislature has offered no caps on security deposits, then of course I’m going to choose a perpetual fee,” she said.
In Florida, there’s no cap on how much a landlord can charge for security deposits, nor how much they can charge for rent. But under this bill there’s also not a cap on this so-called security deposit “alternative.”
“It’s not designed to protect the tenant at all,” Mobley argued. “A security deposit covers a tenant’s liability for damage. This fee does not, unless the property owner decides to purchase an insurance policy which benefits only him, only the landlord, not the tenant.”
So, a company like Rhino or Leaselock could go after a tenant for damages. "You have someone who's paid for an insurance product through a landlord for maybe a couple years, and then at the end of it, it doesn't benefit the tenant at all because they're still responsible for all of the damages."
Prior to its passage, some Democrats — including Eskamani — filed amendments to the bill to try and level the playing field for tenants.
All of them failed, similar to attempts by Democrats this session to water down other controversial bills targeting collective bargaining rights for public employees, LGBTQ rights, and abortion access.
But it wasn’t passed strictly along party lines either.
Several Florida Democrats joined Republicans in voting in favor of the bill, including Orlando-area Sen. Linda Stewart, who’s term-limited from seeking reelection, and Sen. Jason Pizzo, a South Florida Democrat whose family owns a property management company in New Jersey, and who’s been tapped to become the next Florida Senate Democratic leader following the 2024 elections.
Also on Friday, DeSantis signed into law 11 other bills, none quite so controversial as this one, save for a bill cracking down on kratom (an herbal substance that has stimulant and opioid-like effects).
This all comes on the heels of DeSantis approving legislation banning rent control, while another bill that’d wipe out local tenant protection ordinances (including a tenant’s bill of rights in Orange County) has yet to reach his desk.
DeSantis also formally announced his 2024 run for president last week in a botched campaign launch on Twitter. So his record will be subject to a high level of scrutiny in the months to come.

So I broke up with my bf a little more than a month ago and he can't accept it. I blocked his number from contacting me and I didn't hear from him until I got a message from him on Venmo. I didn't even know you could message on there. So he's been sending a bunch of nasty messages but I kept the line of communication open since he owes me $1000. Until yesterday. He messaged me on Venmo wanting to talk and when I didn't respond he showed up at my house. I love with my parents so I had my dad ask him to leave. He continued blowing up my phone with Venmo messages so I blocked him there and he text me from a different number which I also blocked. I've asked him not to contact me and he shows up at my house. It's unreal, I couldn't sleep last night, I'm an anxious wreck. Today I filed a restraining order on line, as I just don't feel safe anymore. Do I need to call the police station after filling? Do I need to get a lawyer? I've never done this before.

For context, I’ve been texting him and contacting for almost a whole month now, practically every day begging to see my kid. I live a little more than an hour away and it’s definitely his turn to make the commute. Also he insists on seeing my house before I watch my daughter alone for longer than a day, but refuses to come down to see it. He acts like my intentions are to harm her. Fast forward to today. Still no contact, I sent him different parks we can meet at with no response. All I want is to be a mother again. He is stripping years away from me like nothing, and it doesn’t seem to bother him that he hasn’t let me see her in longer than a month. He won’t even let me FaceTime her because he won’t give me his girlfriends phone number (she watches the kids while he works). So either I have to wait for him to get off of work (he won’t communicate with me when he is at work) or drive hours to see her with no guarantee that he will let me in the house (I’ve been turned away from seeing her before). I have had the cops called on me twice for “trespassing” when I was literally just there for my baby girl. I’m literally so frustrated.
My question is, what are the consequences for starting a family law case by myself. I have no money to pay for a lawyer and honestly I can’t wait that long anymore. I need to be with my child again. I’m tired of how much of her life I am missing and I can guarantee that her father and his new girlfriend are not taking care of her and loving her like I could. I am so scared of losing her to his negligence. Or even worse. He turns her against me. I can’t risk losing her.

I lost my dad to cancer a month ago, he got diagnosed 5 april and 30 days later he was dead. He was hospitalized the day after diagnosis, got to go back home, pretty much immediately collapsed again, was too sick to talk for 20 days, and that was that. I'm now left with his house to clear out, which includes a bunch of my grandma's stuff (she died a year ago), a hell of an administration, and PTSD and depression from having been his caregiver.
I'm so terribly angry all the time. I'm angry at him for leaving me like this, angry at life for doing this to him, angry that none of my friends get it. I got a bunch of "let me know if I can do anything"s, and I'm angry because I don't have the energy to let anybody know anything, and I'm angry about the fact that these people won't take initiative to help. When someone does do something, it's a miniature relief but I'm still angry, because nothing is helping and I just want out. I'm mostly self-isolating at this point because I have nothing nice to add.
How do you guys deal with this anger? I'm normally not an angry person at all, but add this experience and I only feel bitter. I guess I need to ride out the feeling, but I don't want to, because I'm angry about being this angry. I just want it to pass, I'm exhausted.

My (36m) ex-wife (45f) has had a history of drug abuse and alcoholism. She has been in and out of treatment numerous times. She has primary custody of my two children (7,8). Her parents are as big of enablers as anybody could be.

• during divorce (5 years ago), she was sober from the alcohol but would snort step daughter's ADHD medication or her own. She found a doctor that would prescribe her. Also thought she was older and more mature, just found out she was older.
  
• parents enable lots of ways. They know she drinks still. She got a DUI a few years back. Hit a parked car and drove her vehicle back damaged to her house. Officer followed the wreck of parts and arrested her and charged her. Slap on the wrist basically. Parents are well off and get her out of any jam. Her brother was arrested years back for child pornography charges when he was in college. I don't think anything came up that either. Not sure if it was money, gray area or what the deal was. Parents do know that she still drinks and believe there could be drugs still but not positive, meth drug of choice there.
  
• I do not have primary custody. Get my kiddos a few times during the week and then every other weekend, holidays and such. I tried to be very civil with my ex-wife. Ex-wife's parents through a lot of money at a divorce attorney and bills kept adding up. I couldn't compete. The child support she receives from me every month, I believe her parents believe that is a big part of her surviving. She has a full-time job now at a gas station. They do not want to support her anymore and they know my child support will. This is an assumption but most likely valid. Based on my conversations with them.
  
• I've been in touch with a qualified attorney. Until something big happens or something else happens, it's my word against hers battling for my children. I want a clear cut case as if I'm going to alienate my ex-wife and her parents, whom I have a very good relationship with, I want to get custody of my children.
  
• my ex-wife's parents, especially her mother, acts like more of a mother to my children. They spend a lot of time at their place. Out of the time the children are not with me, they are probably 70% grandparents place, 30% ex-wife place. I feel they are safe there, not so much at their actual mothers place.
  

About a year ago, I found out their small dog was using the bathroom inside on their upstairs level. At some point it got cleaned up. My kids sleep on the main level typically on a couch. Right now they are sleeping on mattresses in their mom's living room on the floor. My daughter has numerous bumps on her leg that have been consistent the last year. My other child has been battling somewhat of an extended cold or possibly allergies. Not sure if this could be related to the fecal matter upstairs.
I was told last week by my daughter that there is a lot of poop upstairs so they don't ever go upstairs anymore. Their bedroom is upstairs and I don't believe they go in there bedroom anymore either. My ex-wife as I'm told by my daughter, instructed her other daughter to clean up the mess a long time ago which never happened. Not sure it's anybody's responsibility besides my ex-wife's.

• I would take full custody of my children in a heartbeat. I've had a long-standing, steady relationship and a nice, clean home.

This week, my ex-wife's parents are out of the country on a vacation. I question my ex-wife's mental state of mind due to whatever she may be consuming, ESPECIALLY, when her parents are out of town.
My question though, does dog crap and a messy house justify a call to cps? My kids are better than that and I don't believe any child can safely be in that environment. I do not know the extent of the fecal matter inside but I think the fact alone that it's happening isn't good. My children love their puppy but I love my children.
TDLR: my children's Mother, does not maintain their house very well. The dog is using the bathroom on their upstairs level and my kids sleep on the main level, on a mattress, in the living room. Should CPS be involved or am I just getting people pissed off as I'm sure they will assume I'm the one that made the call.

I (24M) got custody of my younger brothers 3 years ago. They are currently 13, 17, and 19. Around 1.5 years ago we moved from a 3 bedroom to a 4 bedroom house, so that everybody could have their own rooms. Before that the 17 and 19 y.o were sharing the biggest room and the 13 y.o had a little shoebox room.
When we moved it was on the condition that the 19 y.o (who was 17 at the time) would help cover part of the rent. He had already dropped out of school and was working full time in an apprenticeship and had another part time job. He agreed to the terms happily. I calculated how much he would pay me towards rent based on his weekly wage for his apprenticeship. He gave me what amounted to roughly 10% of his wage. This 15% excluded what he earned from his second job.
Since I decided the amount he has changed jobs and he's currently earning £24k a year plus money from his second job and other work he picks up. Last week I asked him if he would be willing to pay more towards rent/utilities and paying £350 a month. That figure would be for rent and utilities so very cheap especially for our area. I don't just see this as him paying for his keep but also helping provide for his younger siblings as well.
He argued a little when I brought it up but I pointed out that his other options were paying for his own rent and utilities for his own place and this was the best deal he was going to get, he agreed to my knew terms. Our sister (23) however, was very unhappy that I would hike up his rent and said I was being cheap and that as I could afford to keep and the same price so I should. She says I'm exploiting him for his money when he still young and that I'm acting like our parents (both deadbeats). Am I being an asshole? If there is 2 adults working fulltime in our home why should I be swallowing 90%+ of the costs?

So I currently work at a school that's only 9 minutes away from my house. The job however, is not my favourite. I'm currently in a prep and planning position - so I'm teaching health and physical education with kindergartens (next year will apparently be with grades 1 and 2) and the days I'm not in the gym, I'm outside during all weather unless it's thundering or -25. I also have 1 class of French a day.
I have issues being stuck in my position and can't move out of it because I have this one section of french and the board will refuse me to move internally - I was even offered 2 internal positions in the school but then admin backtracked and said I can't have them and can't move unless I apply for them and get them. Which I haven't been successful.
I have an interview at a school 35 minutes away from my house today. For a primary grade. Which means no french and no prep and planning health/phys ed.
My question is: what would you do? Stay close to home in a relatively easy, not planning heavy, position, or travel 35 minutes for your own classroom teaching core subjects?
