This was my fourth infection. The other 3 I recovered from, but this time I tested positive 5/26 and negative 5 days later on 5/32. Fever, congestion, sore throat is gone.
Now I’m left with fatigue, nausea, muscle weakness, joint pain, twitches, chest tightness, trouble concentrating, and insomnia.
I pushed myself too much while I had Covid, walked up a bunch of stairs, worked from home, and had a major stressful even in my life. So I’ve also had a lot of anxiety and sadness on top of it.
Is this Long Haul, or just from the infection and constant anxiety?

I'm immune-suppressed (Rituximab) and hosted a wonderful 95-person, 3-day, 100% outdoor wedding this past weekend. I didn't get sick at all, everyone took amazing care of me, and we had such a blast.
We had covid testing from every guest, and anyone who had any symptoms of anything wore a mask.
My symptoms flared a little in the week prior (probably just logistics-related stress) but during and after the event, no symptoms, no stress!
I was very seriously reconsidering the wedding after my diagnosis, but I'm so glad we went through with it.
I've seen posts on here about people worrying about doing things immune-suppressed. Something like this takes a LOT more planning and risk-mitigation, and the risk is never zero, but this is just a reminder to follow your heart (sensibly) in whichever direction it leads you.

During the Covid time after I fell ill and recovered (pretty sure it was covid coz I haven't been through a fevecough like that before, but wasn't tested) I kept getting an incense smell in my nose. It was a recurring scenario for like 2-3 weeks/1-2 days per week. Now recently, I had a sever throat infection and after I recovered, I again kept smelling incense like it's inside my nose for a whole day today as I am writing this. If i take deep breaths it does away. But comes back when I breathe normally. I am fully vaccinated against Covid. (2 doses)

I also notice today that URide is suddenly cheaper than it was last week. It was same/similar to cabs, but is now saying $39 to the airport today.

I’ve noticed if I stimulate my breast ,milk leaks Not often. But i noticed it happening In December of 2021 i had a blood test and was vitamin D deficient and everything was normal insulin, Tsh ,bloods i had a blood test coz it was concerning why i wasnt losing weight. I took vitamin D no weight lossThe galactorrhea happened occasionally since being off birth control and still happens not all the time but sometimes if i stimulate them especially in the shower My period is regular but sometimes my cycle is delayed less than 40 days tho Any advice ?

Hey everyone, long but maybe a helpful post incoming.
I wanted to share my experience in depth with getting ill very suddenly in October of 2022 (8 months in) so this will be a bit of a longer post. I’m posting this to see if there are some similarities out there, maybe if anyone had some advice for me or even just share some progress, treatments or approaches.
Also for anyone reading that’s having a hard time with symptoms & long covid, I am keeping positive and will keep this post positive too. I strongly believe we will find the mechanisms at work; there is already so much research, testing etc. going on so please try keep your head up there’s a lot of people in this and a lot are getting better too. I am 28, male, active and healthy before this and had little to no health problems prior.
What happened to me at the beginning:
Went on a weekend away with friends at a quiet Airbnb near a beach from Friday through to Monday. Stayed at the airbnb all weekend and had some alcoholic drinks, using the hot tub and just hanging out.
I woke up on Monday morning and immediately started to projectile vomit and could not keep even a sip of watefood down. Vomiting at all is a very rare occurrence for me even after drinking so this was immediately a red flag. After about 3 or 4 hours this eventually subsided during the trip home.
After feeling not the best (flu-like symptoms with upset stomach, hot & cold, sore lower back) for 2 days after arriving home; on Wednesday I felt a dissociation/spaced out feeling come on suddenly while working at home & had what I felt was similar to a panic attack (heart racing, cold hands and feet, lightheaded) and after lying down from this I was slammed with the worst headache I've ever had. And this is where all my symptoms started. I can’t remember exactly when I tested (maybe 2 or 3 antigen tests at home) for covid during this time but it may have been a few days or maybe even a week after this but it was a negative test so for a long time I did not suspect covid. I was leaning more towards a bacterial or virus from the hot tub initially.
What followed:
Below are the symptoms I’ve experienced since then, I also contracted covid at the end of February so I’m unsure if I had Covid twice, or a post viral syndrome from another virus or bacteria that was exacerbated by Covid. EBV, Cytomeglo and further virus testing has come back negative and reading symptoms I feel that there is a lot of similarity with long-covid symptoms mentioned by everyone here.

• Headache - almost constant (mild to severe) (severe sinus & tension type headaches, ice pick headaches & pain at back of head as well as front and temples).
• Neck & Shoulder Pain - almost always (sharp or dull)
• Back Pain - often - mostly lower with stomach pain & sometimes middle & upper back
• Fatigue - occasionally - this seems to be on the milder side, can get through days fine.
• Sinus Swelling - often - CT scan showing persistent sinusitis - post nasal drip often follows. this particularly sucks and is very uncomfortable.
• Brain Fog - often, slightly less - comes with sinus swelling at times.
• Heart Palpitations - less often than before, sometimes onset - throbbing feeling in head and all over - multiple ECGs & 24hr Holter Monitor showed nothing.
• IBS - often for the first few months, now more rarely - irregular stool (size, frequency), undigested, sore abdomen strikes suddenly and can cause intense abdominal pain and diarrhea.
• General feeling of Malaise - often
• Tinnitus - often - sharp noise occasionally, low level ringing often.
• Dry/allergic/irritated eyes - occasionally
• Hacking up phlegm - often, onset
• Dermographism - occasionally - only real visible symptom that I’m having
• Twitching - more often recently
• Chest tightness - occasionally - breathlessness, short of breath or dry cough
• Mouth Ulcers & Eye Styes - every month or so, much more common during illness

Newer Symptoms (After contracting Covid):

• Anxiety & Depression - occasionally - related to health condition, have had good mental health until this. very up and down in progression. feel waves of sadness throughout the day or week.
• Pain in testicles - sore for a period of time, has come back a bit - Epididymis on left testicle side swollen, scrotum tightening occasionally, testing showed nothing. This is quite limiting for exercise & running
• Paresthesia - rare - feeling of sunburned skin (stomach, forearms, top of hands, nose and back of neck) - itchy sensations around body. This has subsided since it happened first.
• Hands turning red occasionally - especially when walking.
• Pain in joints, spine, hands - often - arthritis like feeling

My experience:
I wanted to add how things have been for me personally. I feel like I’ve been through my own hell so far. In the first few months I was doing fine as I assumed it would get better in a few weeks, maybe next month, definitely before Christmas etc. while managing symptoms and hanging on to the words of my favourite google search “does post viral syndrome go away” which always brought me the answer I wanted “it is temporary”. During February my mother was diagnosed with cancer and as an only child I think this is where my mental health began to suffer. In March when my testicular pain began I seen another doctor who mentioned central sensitization and my mind and ability to cope plummeted. I was scared out of my mind and I began to wonder if I would survive and had relegated myself to permanent disability for life. I would get a lot of awful feelings out of nowhere, an impending doom sense that was pretty engulfing. Thankfully I have an incredible partner who has been with me every step of the way and she has kept me from some very dark places, I am extremely lucky to have her. I worked for the initial 6 months after getting sick (work from home job) and told my work straight up that I needed support and to role back my responsibilities. Unfortunately as my mental health declined around March I had to step away from work (thankfully insured for now) but was unable to properly look at my work screen, do complex tasks or manage my work without feeling sluggish and needed to step away every 10 or 15 minutes.
The medical side:
I have seen a number of doctors, specialists including 2 A&E visits. Listed below are who I’ve seen and what I’ve done in chronological order. Thankfully have a close family friend who specializes in virology and took my case on to dive into deeper. After tons of testing for what feels like every variation of medical issue, the only thing that has shown up from all the testing done was a very recent positive test for Anti-CCP-AKS which points to polyarthritis as a symptom not a diagnosis. I have a gamma camera scheduled & a colonoscopy too for the summer. In terms of medication I did about 2 months on Amitriptyline, it probably helped some symptoms but I gained a lot of weight so stopped, I have found it hard overall to tell what helps and what doesn’t. One day I’ll try something I think “oh this helps” and then a few days later I’ll suffer symptoms while trying it out. I have tried my best to avoid taking medication and stick to supplements only.

Overall I feel a bit better but having plenty of attack/relapses/waves or whatever we want to call them. I find the biggest help is sleeping or resting as much as possible, hot showers and eating right. I’m happy to answer questions and see what compares. I would love some more advice on supplementation as I know its basic at the moment.

Hello! For the past year, my cat has developed more and more severe symptoms without a known cause. At first, I noticed snoring as well as occasional wheezing breaths, coughing and sneezes while awake. In the Fall, his eyes became glassy and I noticed dark spots in his irises. By January, his pupils were different sizes and he began squinting and blinking often. One of his eyes is now clouded, there’s yellow discharge and he’s been shaking his head. At every stage, we took him to our vet but haven’t been able to find a cause. They did a chest x-ray, prescribed heart-worm medication and eye drops, completed several eye exams, blood work, urinalysis, and an ultrasound of his abdomen. He was diagnosed by an ophthalmologist with “idiosyncratic uveitis,” but the rest of his tests came back clean. He remains alert, and continues eating, drinking, playing and using his litter box like normal. An internal medicine specialist recommended a CT scan of his head as a last resort. Based on his other test results, she was skeptical he’d developed anything serious like cancer and suggested the symptoms might resolve on their own.
It’s been a year and I’m anxious to help my cat feel better. Is it possible he’s developed an allergy? Should we try different food? Are there tests we’re missing? I’d be grateful for any suggestions or advice on what else we can try! TIA 🙏🏻

My Story
Vision Loss can be a frightful thing, especially when it happens suddenly and permanently. I was sick with COVID from November 22-30 of 2022. Basically one month to the day later, I started going blind. I have patches that are totally blank spots, and blurry haze scattered about the retina of my eye that basically looks like an overexposed photograph.
It's been about 6 months and many stressful tests later. Here I am with no definite answers. I have more visits to the eye doctor scheduled and my vision may be getting worse, as a sentence of text in one eye looks smeared and splotchy. I also for months now have experienced visual phenomena where it will undulate back and forth, looking like an overexposed film roll.
Point of the Community
Personally, I'd just like to move on with my life and leave this chapter behind. At the same time, vision loss can feel isolating. If there's anybody who may be experiencing vision loss as a result of Covid or its complications, this place is for you.

36f. 5 foot 3, 130 pounds. On omeprazole medication for reflux for the past 2 weeks. Non smoker. Not any major health issues prior to birth. Periods came back at 10 months postpartum and are regular like clockwork. I had my second child a year ago and stopped breastfeeding 6 weeks ago.
I’ve had strange symptoms over the past year that haven’t got better:

• dry sore eyes, styes, blepharitis (seeing an eye dr many times) eyelashes falling out
• reflux and nausea (like I’m pregnant- I’m definitely not)
• excess saliva
• bladder pain like a uti, but not a uti and bladder pressure
• itchy skin

I’ve had a lot of blood tests done including the thyroid however only thing I had was low ferritin a year ago and I am taking iron for that. Doctors think it might be hormonal - so maybe I just need to be patient?
I’ve had Covid twice, once when 4 months pregnant with second baby and once at 10 months postpartum.

I am not sure if this is the proper thread for this, but where I work the mens washrooms are inside a room, and each washroom has a door inside the room that has a door to it. It's pretty silly how the owners configured it years ago. But I got to thinking it would be cool to add a light (this one below) outside the main door then have a circuit with a transformer inside a box that connects to the light and to two door sensors like the ones security companies use.
When both bathroom doors are open the green light comes on, when just one door is open the orange light comes on, and when both are closed the red light comes on. This would save people having to walk all the way down the hallway to find out both doors are closed.
I also started to think there has to be a circuit already that does that out there, I am sure someone has invented something like for if not for this reason for something else but I don't know where to look or what to look for, does anyone here know?

Howdy, long time buyer first time seller. Unfortunately SHTF for me financially in the past week due to being furloughed (and will stay that way for some time), and I need to sell of just about everything airsoft related I have bought since the new year. I'm effectively treating my situation as a quitting airsoft thing (if you can count not even playing a single game as being in airsoft) and plan to gradually list more and more as time goes til I'm recalled to work or things go even further south. Unless picked up 2nd hand (will specify if it has been), everything has been a catch and release, nothing has ever been fielded, just plinked around with and fired a few shots to make sure internals were working. Since I'm cash strapped, prices aren't exactly firm and might not include costs of shipping (been selling on eBay recently, shipping is insane a lot of the time, especially for heavier things like airsoft would be).

OspreyScopes Pistol Red Dot Sight - $90 - great little red dot for pistols. Worked great for my MP5k and I think it would be great for a P90 as well.
KSC CO2 Mini Uzi - $130 - Catch and release from this subreddit, have only had it less than a month. This is for the airsoft version and not the dangerous airgun version. Has seen some use and has cosmetic wear around the charging slide and mag. The mag is boneyard, the feeding lip at the top is chipped and won't feed into the gun. The CO2 casing is dented and the screw is kind of stripped. It can screw back in but not without difficulty. I have been able to test the GBB system since this is open bolt, and man it would be so much fun to use, it does kickback a good bit even from dry firing. As a disclaimer, I do believe the internals of the gun are functioning and that it's only the mag that is causing it to not fire. If you buy this from me, you must understand that if you buy/have a new mag for this gun and it still doesn't fire that I was none the wiser and not my fault.

Cornel West has no hope of winning, all he is doing is taking away Democratic votes.

In this article, he praises DeSantis for introducing the Classic Learning Test (CLT) to Florida schools. He has a lot of fancy words about the various historical thinkers who went against the grain. Sounds nice. I wonder how Ron DeSantis is treating free inquiry in Florida?
But in reality, this is really just a handout to an incredible niche test used by a handful of Evangelical right-wing schools. The CLT dates all the way back to ... 2015. It's just a way for Republicans to spend education money fattening the pockets of the CLT advisors to provide these tests, and to push students away from real universities to ones that teach them nonsense. And the guys profiting from this, is Cornel West's co-author on this article who started the test and Cornel West himself.
But also, pushing the 'Western Classics' didn't happen in a vacuum. Ron DeSantis pushed the CLT, as part of his plot to get rid of African American Studies and other 'woke' courses that are part of the AP studies.

Cornel West's own books would likely be in the firing line of Florida schools for writing about the Black experience in a way that wasn't completely stripped of all real history.
And who else is on the CLT Board?
Christopher Rufo, listed as Senior Fellow, The Manhattan Institute. Rufo was also appointed by DeSantis to destroy Florida's New College.. So he isn't just a think tanker, but directly on DeSantis's payroll.

If you look at the photo the CLT board posted, its literally just a sea of White Republicans.
So Cornel West has no problem writing a public article praising Ron DeSantis for helping free inquiry, as he tries to get rid of any books about LGBT people or Black people and working alongside Chris Rufo, the guy who managed the Right Wings Critical Race Theory panic. Seems bad.
Ask yourself. If a Biden appointee to Education Secretary had this kind of background of supporting the privatisation of schools, and of hanging around figures like these, would you be cool with it? No of course not.

Does anyone know anything about the Epic Tour granfondo? I rode it in 2019, and was registered for 2020 but it was cancelled in 2020, 2021 and 2022 due to covid, and registrations were deferred. I've tried reaching out to the organizer a number of times over the year but the only correspondence in years has been the yearly cancellation notice email. Their website lists a date for 2023, but there's no registration page (the link goes to the 2021 ride). Their social media accounts haven't been updated in years either.
