2023.06.06 14:05 sentientbubbie Taking my NCLEX tomorrow 6/7 at 8:00am
Hello all! I have been stalking this sub since I graduated on April 21st, I take my NCLEX tomorrow so I wanted to post here. This has been my study plan, I used around ~600 questions in archer (scoring around 60-70 on the question bank and receiving multiple VERY HIGH chances of passing on my readiness exams). I decided to switch to Uworld after reading about some shady business Archer has done. I’ve completed 65% of the question bank with an average score of 73% and a mean score of 68%. On Uworld I have have one high, and two very high readiness assessments. I’ve also listened to a few Mark K lectures and did some NCLEX boot camp guided case studies. I’m going between being confident that I’m going to crush it, and feeling like I am going to puke then pee and poop myself. I am taking my NCLEX in PA where I attended nursing school and will update yinz when I find out how I do! If anyone has any last minute study tips or mindfulness send it my way ✨😊

2023.06.06 03:07 Vast_Airline4065 Archer Scores & scheduling nclex anxiety
So I still haven’t received my ATT code but I did start studying using Archer’s 3 week study plan, I took one readiness assessment so far and got very high probability of passing (62%). 3 tutor assessments (52%, 55%, & 58%). I know I shouldn’t get ahead of myself but a bunch of my friends already got their Atts and have only had options to take the test like the following day or wait until middle july for where i am. And i’m wondering if my performance continues at the rate I am if I get stuck in the same boat… if i’m forced to take the nclex sooner rather than later if i’ll be fine because i’m mad stressing knowing my friends have only had those options… I also have a job lined up expecting me to start asap 😭😅 please give me any advice possible.

2023.06.05 23:57 Mochi_Rengoku25 NCLEX on Saturday
Hey guys, so I failed the NCLEX twice already and I'm about to attempt the third time this Saturday. I have been using Archer and I've taken 4 readiness and 1 CAT. For my readiness, Ive gotten ( Borderline, Very High, High, and High.) For my 1 CAT exam I passed at 85. (I'm not too sure if it goes higher than 85, but it stopped there.)
My Qbank is all used up. I cant do anymore CAT or readiness. What do you guys recommend I do? Should I change my date or just go ahead and take it?
Thank you in advance

2023.06.05 23:45 RN-Jen New Grad RN Seeking Advice
Hello all! I just received my passing results this morning and as of today I am officially a registered nurse! :) Little back story on me. I graduated May 8th and took my NCLEX this passed Saturday. It took me around 3 hours and I was stopped after question 85. I cried before, during, and after the exam. Sat in my car for 45 minutes after just sobbing. I felt like my nerves got the best of me and I didn't pass, so DO NOT get discouraged. YOU CAN DO IT TOO. Did the PVT and got the "good pop-up". I had to wait almost 48 hours for my license to be posted on the LARA website. It was nasty. I will say that everyone in my cohort has passed their NCLEX so far and for all of us the PVT was accurate-
I used mark klimeks lectures to study and take notes on. I suggest listening to them in the car instead of listening to your music. For my exam, the prioritization and delegation lecture was the most helpful because there was a decent amount on my exam that pertained to those concepts. I also used Archer readiness assessments and for me their promise was granted- "if you take four consecutive readiness assessments and score high or very high on all 4, you have a 98% chance of passing the NCLEX". I ended up taking a total of 8 readiness assessments and scored "very high" on all of them. I chose Archer because it was the cheapest option for a broke nursing student such as myself. Side note; meditation and positive affirmations on the day of my exam tremendously helped my anxiety. Remember, a head full of fears has no place for dreams.
My license is issued in Michigan. I don't have any prior hospital experience other than all of my clinical rotations. I am starting the application and interview processes. I am applying to medical surgical units as I have had three rotations in them now and think that is a good place for me to start off at. Does anyone object and if so, why? Is there any advice anyone is willing to give to a new graduate nurse starting off in medsurg, or any advice at all for becoming a new nurse? Also, if anyone has any interview questions they think would be important to know/ask the nurse managers before jumping in head first, I would love to hear them. Anything and everything is appreciated!!! Good luck to those who are taking the NCLEX soon! Believe in yourself!!!! <3

2023.06.05 21:28 CrazyWinner1163 Passed in 85!
Hey everyone! I took the NCLEX on 6/2 and found out yesterday that I passed! I used Archer and NCLEX bootcamp to prepare for the exam. NCLEX bootcamp was especially helpful for the NGN case studies. The video rationales are extremely helpful if you are an audio-visual learner like myself. If you’re worried about NGN questions, NCLEX Bootcamp will help you feel comfortable and prepared! Feel free to ask me any questions!
Good luck future RNs!

Hey everyone, I have been a silent follower on this sub for about 4 months. I took my NCLEX on 6/2 and found out that I passed yesterday! I used Archer and NCLEX bootcamp to prepare for the exam. NCLEX bootcamp was especially helpful for the NGN case studies. I saw a few months ago that they were giving out free trials and decided to give it a shot, and I am so glad that I did! I love that they have video rationales for each question, it really helps as an audio-visual learner. If you’re worried about NGN questions, NCLEX Bootcamp will help you feel comfortable and prepared!
Good luck future RNs!

2023.06.05 21:11 Specific_Ad9842 Passed NGN 5th attempt at 85 questions
Just wanted to share the great news with the Reddit community. Compared to previous attempts at the NCLEX, the NGN felt very fair and not as confusing - I also credit that to months of preparation.
UWORLD did not work for me. ARCHER review videos and ARCHER questions is where its at - but that's subjective. I only listened to Mark K once (prio & delegation).
The exam is straight forward - the biggest thing is managing anxiety. Believe in yourself. I strongly feel that all you need for the exam is to review content once, & practice questions subject by subject to get a feel of what each system is looking for - then questions at random (turn off tutor mode) - then review the incorrect & correct answers. That helped me in regards to safety and prio. I promise it gets easier as you go on.
I didn't tell anyone, not even my boyfriend that I live with that I was going to test, just to reduce some of the pressure I felt previously. I went in there like it was a normal day, because it was! Don't let it get to you & take your time.
I just hope that this helps someone out there that feels hopeless, as I once was. YOU GOT THIS!

2023.06.05 18:52 ASliceOfPakwan Any words of encouragement and/or advice? 😮💨
Sorry for the lengthy post but I guess I really just want to share what I’ve been feeling/going through since I graduated. None of my friends from nursing school are taking the NCLEX-RN anytime soon, so any words of advice and/or encouragement will definitely brighten up my day 🥹 I’ve scheduled my NCLEX for mid july🤞🏼
Here’s what I’ve been doing to prepare:
March 2023 - I graduated early March this year. I took 2-3 weeks off just because I felt super stressed with clinicals and just needed some time to recharge. I also started going to the gym because I just needed to feel healthier since 4 years of Nursing school really took a toll on my health. Someone gave me their uworld account for free so I got to use UWorld for the whole month of April.
April 2023 - Honestly, uworld made me feel really dumb because I was scoring in around 50%-60% at first. I just kept doing more practice Qs and my scores finally went up to high 60s to high 70s in a month. I also watched some Simple Nursing videos to refresh my memory (particularly on maternity pharm and procedures).
I admittedly do not have the best test taking skills and tend to forget nursing content easily so I knew I have to put in the work. I tried taking notes on everything I got wrong but I quickly realized that it took too much of my time so I just make sure to read the rationales really well and put them in my own words so that it sticks better.
May 2023 - Then I read up on Foundations, Growth and Development, Maternity, and Peds for the whole month using the Saunders Comprehensive Reviewer Book (9th edition). Each chapter had practice questions so I did those first to see how well I knew the content. If I scored poorly, that means I’ll have to read the chapter in depth but if I scored above 75%, I would only read the highlighted parts like the tables and diagrams and sections with pyramids on them.
I also started using Archer: 85 tutorial Qs every now and then with shuffled topics. I decided to get Archer because I’ve heard that the question format on the NCLEX is very similar to Archer. I did get a whiplash when I realized how different and more vague the questions on Archer are vs uWorld (they usually have more information in their Qs).
Gym was taking a huge toll on my body in the past 2 months, so I always felt so tired. I think I could’ve studied more but I know I did my best seeing that I’m doing so much for myself.
June 2023 - I’m going to be honest, I am now starting to feel anxious about the NCLEX just because I’m about a month and a half away from taking it. I started writing down what I do to study on a daily basis just so that I can keep track. I found myself binge studying in one sitting then taking 2 days off and I really want to be able to study everyday, even if I only get to do 25 Qs on meh days.
I have answered around 30% of the practice Qs through Archer so far and just finished watching their Pharmacology videos (3 parts in about 6 hours?). I’m scoring between high 60s to mid 70s but have always gotten high to very high for my readiness assessments. My first CAT score was a 57% and my most recent one is a 70%.
I’m definitely trying to brush up on nursing content and answer practice Qs as I go but I’m also trying my best to not overwhelm myself. I guess I just haven’t figured that out yet 🥲

2023.06.05 18:13 candlecono Archer for NCLEX
How come everyone says Archer is a scam, but genuine real people (peers, very obviously not people part of the scheme) say that Archer was the best tool for passing on the first try? I’ve read the post regarding busting Archer for being a scam, but it seems as though folks are still getting good results out of it especially with NGN. Any explanations on this?

Is Archer accurate and actually similar to NCLEX? The questions don't really seem too hard... or are UWorld questions more like NCLEX?

2023.06.04 17:15 Nursebae94_ Is It Worth Studying for the NCLEX?
I've been on reddit/Tik Tok everyday reading about everyone who has taken and passed the NGN. Almost EVERYONE who studied for it says that they felt like they guessed majority of the exam. A lot of people say that they were not tested on anything that they have studied and that it is a safety exam.
Most people are studying Archer, Uworld, Mark K, Simple Nursing, Nclex Bootcamp, Kaplan along with test taking strategies from Interactional Crusade, Nclex High Yield..etc. To study for weeks and still not feel prepared is pretty messed up to me.
So my question is, should I just retain the basic knowledge from the high yield subjects and pair it along with test taking strategies from International Crusade/High Yield? I am killing myself watching videos to learn content and I'm not even doing that good on readiness assessments [I'm getting borderline] Any Advice? I graduated April 28 and a bunch of us are still waiting for the att so I just want to utilize my time wisely. Please help!
P.S Is anyone selling their UWORLD acct?

2023.06.04 12:10 soybeanz___ What I Wish I had known before taking the NCLEX...
Hey Everyone!
I passed the NCLEX on June 1st in 85 questions. Prior to taking this test, I scoured this subreddit for weeks. Looking for tips, tricks, and any information that I thought would help me succeed. As someone who was seeking advice here, I thought I would pay it forward and provide some insight. Here all the things I wish I had known prior to taking the NCLEX:
- LOOK AT THE NCLEX TEST PLAN ON THE NCBSN website!! This provides a guide for the exam that gives you a sense of content the NCLEX is looking for. I wish that this had been the first thing that i had done. It is a great reminder that the NCLEX is all about the fundamentals and safety!
- As far as testing goes, KNOW YOUR CORE CONTENT AND PICK THE SAFEST ANSWER. Your fundamentals and test taking strategies will go a long way. You will not know EVERY question on this test, and that is okay. But knowing how to derive the answer from your answer choices using testing strategies will take you far. I truly recommend the Mark Klimek lecture 12 on prioritization and delegation and the NCLEX Crusade Youtube Channel.
- Find a Qbank that works for you. Personally, I found Archer to be extremely similar to the NCLEX testing format. It was comforting to see a format that looked so familiar.
- Set a test date and time BEFORE you begin studying. If you do not have your ATT quite yet, pick an ideal test date. This will give you a goal to work towards so there is no time wasted! Take an 85 question practice exam at the EXACT time of your NCLEX test time every day in an area that simulates a quiet testing environment. Repetition and practice in these environments builds confidence!
- At the testing center, before you click begin on the exam, sign your name at the top of your white board "name, BSN, RN". If you get discouraged, look at this and take a second to breathe. We will all be RN's soon enough and this was a great reminder for me. Nursing school was the hard part! This test is simply one last chance to demonstrate your knowledge, hard work, and dedication.
- After the Exam, I did the pearson vue trick as soon as I received the exit email from Pearson. This was 30 minutes after my exam. I received the "good pop up". I do believe that the good pop up is a valid indicator of passing as every person I have spoken to has found this to be true.
I personally thought the NGN NCLEX was a fair test that required you to critically think like an RN. I hope this helps! I would love to hear about other's thoughts and experiences!

2023.06.04 04:13 ProfessionalPart879 Round 2 let’s go!
So I failed my first attempt 5/15 & received my ATT today to schedule a date! I have 6 weeks to tackle this NCLEX! If anyone has any tips to study/test taking skills, I’d greatly appreciate it! Here is what I’m doing differently this time:
- Studying content system by system (I made the mistake of not watching any system videos on Archer & I mainly used it for practice questions). So far, I’ve done neuro/respiratory system. I also have a word doc that contains system by system material.
- Take a readiness, CAT, non-tutor mode & timed exam at the same time your exam is scheduled.
- Take those breaks during the exam! I’ve read that if you start to see yourself “guessing” or rushing, take a break. Take a break at question 20, 50, etc! The nerves are at a high level during the exam (this is what messed me up the most as well). Listen to your body & take a little breather.
If there’s any other tips or advice, please please send them my way 🙏🏼

2023.06.04 03:13 mangofruit4 Advice!
I've been using Kaplan and recently started Archer to prep me for my exam next week.
For Kaplan, I took 2/3 of the CAT exams and did multiple practice NCLEX sample tests, some QBank, and question trainers. I passed both of the CAT exams (the first one before I studied and the second one after w/ 85 questions and 3 greens, the rest yellows). My exam scores are in mid 60's to low 70's.
For Archer, I've only done about 400 questions and have like an avg score of 67%. I took 3 ready assessments so far, all three with very high. I did 2 CAT exams both passing with 85 questions.
Just wondering if anyone else who had taken the NCLEX had similar scores or thinks I have a good chance b/c I'm freaking out and feel like I still don't know so much.

I’ve done 4 Readiness Exams High, Very High, Very High, and High
And passed 1 CAT exam.
I test next Wednesday. I do exceptionally well on NGN Questions so I feel like that’s my strong point.
Any interpretations ?

2023.06.03 01:27 DryRabbit7141 Failed NCLEX, 1st attempt. Feeling defeated, unmotivated, & depressed.
Long story short, I ran out of time on the NCLEX at 140 questions. I was devastated. I rushed a bit towards the end but still tried my best. I cried in my car right after and prayed everyday before and after the test for a miracle. I tried being optimistic after taking it but already felt like I failed. Results came out on email and it was a confirmed fail.
I would get low-borderline passing on archer. And averaged 55-70’s on uworld. I wanted to reschedule but people told me to go for it. I also saw success stories even with these low scores so I went for it. My mistake.
If anyone could give me any motivation and tips to start again, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you guys! 😭

2023.06.01 17:06 Ok-Masterpiece-4094 Concerned about finishing the UWorld test bank far before my exam date
Hi there! Just recently graduated from my nursing program a week ago. My school sends out the codes very late for us to sign up for nclex so I wanted to start seriously studying now before all of the information from nursing school leaves my brain. I’m following Nclex high yield’s uworld advice where you do 4 blocks of 40 questions per day and then on the weekend you do one block of 150 questions. I am concerned that I will run out of test questions before I get close to my test date as I am not even sure of when that is. Anyone ever run out of Uworld questions weeks before their test? If so, what did you do to continue to effectively study? Did you purchase another test bank from another source such as archer? Very nervous so any info would help! Thank you!!!
