2023.06.09 19:52 Morgellons-Live "Considering Chemotherapy As An Option For Cancer?" article by Aajonus Vonderplanitz

"Considering Chemotherapy As An Option For Cancer?
I endured 3 months of chemotherapy that was the final straw that crippled me for many years. The 10-weeks radiation therapy cauterized my spine and caused Multiple Myeloma as well as spinal and back pain for about 25 years until I perfected my diet and was on it long enough to detoxify and heal sufficiently. As I have reported many times since the treatments nearly 40 years ago, I continued intermittently to detoxify chemo and radiation damage. Several times after tasting the chemotherapy during detoxifications, I had my saliva, vomit and diarrhea examined for the chemotherapy I was administered, AZT. All tests were positive for many of the compounds that constitute AZT. Those tests proved that my body still harbored chemo that was etched, burned and/or absorbed into cells within my body. Many doctors refuted my claims. Also note that a year after I received AZT, it was discontinued because it was determined to be too dangerous for cancer patients.
Finally, a UCLA study1 showed that chemotherapy changes blood flow and metabolism in the brain. Positron emission tomography scanned brains of 21 women who had undergone breast cancer surgery 5-10 years earlier. Sixteen of the 21 had been treated with chemotherapy. Thirteen control subjects without breast cancer or chemotherapy were scanned. Scans were performed during short-term memory exercises, and while they rested. Since the study only focused on women who had had chemotherapy at a maximum of 10 years earlier, the study does not reveal that chemotherapy lingers for many decades after treatment, as in my case.
Rapid jumps in activity in the frontal cortexes and cerebellums of the chemotherapy patients indicated that they worked harder than the control patients to recall the same information. Also revealed in the study, women who underwent hormonal therapy as well as chemotherapy showed changes to their basal ganglia, where brain function bridges thought and action.
If considering chemotherapy, consider that science has not proved chemotherapy any more effective than doing nothing for cancer. Also, consider that the long-term effects from "trying" chemotherapy reduce the quality of life mentally, physically, emotionally and possibly spiritually.
Alternative therapies for cancer can be found in my books and in the article following about mice spermatogonial stem cells.

2023.06.09 19:52 AnimeWasA_Mistake What makes a good Jagen?

Hello fellow gamers. Today, I'd like to talk with y'all about Jagens. Based off of the character Jagen from the original game, Jagens are typically the first promoted unit you get, with higher stats compared to your other units. That's basically the only thing that is consistent through every Jagen, although there are broadly 2 patterns that the Jagen falls into: Fall off in quality hard as the game continues, or continue to stay at the very least fairly competent throughout the entire game. The second group is sometimes referred to as Oifeys, based on the genealogy character who fits into the second description better than any previous iteration of the archetype. Higher growths are sometimes considered an important distinction between an Oifey and a Jagen, but I think that this is a mistake. Some Jagens with normal growths very clearly fall off (Frederick and Sothe are clear examples of this) while some Jagens with bad growths barely fall off at all (Dagdar and young Marcus both have bad growths but are pretty endgame viable). I do find this distinction useful, so I'll be referring to the subcategory of Jagens which don't fall off as Oifeys.

Now that we've defined terms, let's get to the question at hand: What makes a Jagen a "good Jagen"? There are two ways to interpret this: which Jagens are superior to others in terms of gameplay, and how to best design a Jagen. I aim to answer both of these questions.

Which Jagens are the best gameplaywise?

If you were to ask this question to random people here, the most common answer would likely be Oifeys. Assuming they are going off of the definition I provided rather than just Jagen with good growths (which unfortunately is probably more common than my definition), it's certainly a tempting simplification. The best Jagens (Seth and young Marcus) are Oifeys, and the worst Jagens (FE3 Jagen, Gunther, Vander, etc.) fall off. However, it is a simplification. While the best Jagens are Oifeys, many of the second tier of Jagens do fall off. Frederick and old Marcus both fall off, but they're both vital for the early games in ways that some Oifeys never are. The titular Oifey is a great example here: He doesn't fall off, but he's also never important in the ways that many Jagens that do fall off are. Titania and Dagdar are better than Oifey, but they also fall into this category. Looking at what I believe the top 4 Jagens are (Seth, Marcus x2, Frederick), finding what they have in common compared to other jagens makes it clear what the best Jagens have that the others don't have: Long periods of being the dominant force in your army. After those 4 it gets more complicated (Titania arguably fits the description given for the top 4 but she has other issues that make me hesitant on putting her in the group) but I believe that having those long periods of power is what separates the best Jagens from the rest of the pack.

Which Jagens are the best designed?

This question is much more complicated than the previous one. While the answer to first question isn't exactly objective, this question makes it look like a math problem. There are a lot of factors to consider, not to mention different tastes giving different results. That's why I find it so frustrating that the most common answer is so simple: they fall off. There is a grain of truth here: having characters who are super dominant like Seth and young Marcus are absolutely not healthy for the games they're in. However! There are 2 issues with this line of thought. First: there are plenty design issues that Jagens can run into. Second: this is NOT a unique problem for Jagens that don't fall off. For example: Old Marcus! I swear he is considered the go to "good Jagen" that other Jagens should aspire to be designed like, and there are some fundamental issues surrounding him. The most important of which is this: Your starting squad in FE6 is garbage. They can barely do anything outside of fighting soldiers without Marcus stepping in. This makes Marcus way too important in the early game: you need him to solve most issues because your other units can't do anything. This is a problem, not just because it makes for less interesting gameplay early game, but if Marcus starts having issues fighting enemies, the game will go to shit, as it does in Ch. 4, my least favorite map in the entire franchise. So why do people go to him as the ideal Jagen? I can't say for certain, but I believe the reason is this: some people have a checklist for what a Jagen is, and he checks the most boxes. This is a mistake: This is not an observation of how well designed the Jagen is. Rather, it's calculating how much the Jagen fits within your pre-conceived notion of what a Jagen should be. This is why Vander gets a shocking amount of praise as a Jagen, when the fact that it's basically consequence free to bench him by Ch. 7 should indicate there is an issue with how he's designed, especially in a modern game like engage, where all units should be able to be deployed until endgame without the number of issues Vander has.

So we've gone over what a well designed Jagen isn't and one way in which Jagens can have design issues (being powerful to the detriment of strategic gameplay). Let's talk about some other design issues that Jagens can face. The first issue I wan't to talk about is the Jagen not actually being that strong early on. This just defeats the purpose of the archetype: having your strong early unit that falls off be similar in strength to your other units early on just calls into question why they even exist in the first place rather than just having another regular unit. Examples of this are Jagen in FE3B1, Rev!Gunther, and Vander. Another issue that the archetype can have is being outclassed too early. You'll eventually want to provide units that have similar strength to the Jagen, or have your growth units catch up to them. However, providing them too much competition that's on par with or better than them too quickly calls into question the point of even having the Jagen archetype in the first place, much like the previous issue. Examples of this include Arran, Oifey, Titania, and Sothe. Finally, sticking too close to previous convention when it doesn't fit the game. For example, Sothe falls off hard in Radiant Dawn, partially because of his class, and partially because he can't promote until after the desert. It wasn't necessary for Sothe to fall off the way he does in Radiant Dawn, it would make more sense for him to promote at the beginning of part 4, and since he's forced into the endgame it would make more sense for him to have better caps. But since he's a thief and Jagen, convention dictated that he would have these issues, to the detriment of the gameplay. Vander is another good example: In modern fire emblem games with a focus on character building and supports, it doesn't really make sense to have a unit that goes against both of these systems like Vander does. His stats are so bad that you can't build him into anything interesting, and despite showing up constantly in the story and having supports with 3 of the last 4 characters to be recruited, he isn't designed so that you can use him late in the game without really going out of your way.

There are a few Jagens that I haven't mentioned yet in this section. These are the Jagens that I would consider to be good Jagens (or too weird to be worth mentioning). Going over them should allow us to consider what factors make for a well designed Jagen.

First up is Jagen, in FE1 and its remake FE11. I believe the original Jagen is a pretty good take on the archetype. He has better bulk than his contemporaries, and while like Marcus he's good at setting up kills, unlike FE6 the cast of FE1 can actually face enemies. Hardin outclasses him in a lot of ways upon recruitment, and he does eventually fall off, but he has the benefit of being one of your only 10 mov units for a lot of the game, and the Levin and Silver sword can help keep him relevant even as you get later into the game. In FE11, Jagen is one of the most important units in the earlygame, with his bulk and extra firepower being critical in the earlygame. His high weapon ranks let him become a strong ridersbane user, and he has unique access to the reclass system, which gives him flexibility in how you use him (This is more interesting with Arran, who has access to all classes upon recruitment, but as mentioned he gets outclassed very quickly). He does still fall off by the later part of the game, but not by as much as you may initially think with his growths. For more gameplay focused Fire Emblems such as these two, I think the Jagen falling off is perfectly reasonable, so these two falling off isn't a problem for me.

Next is Dagdar, from Thracia 776, or FE5. He's an interesting unit because he's endgame ready at base, but since you get so many strong units from early on like Finn and Orsin, he doesn't stand out as much as a combat powerhouse. His personal skill Accost is both a strength and a weakness. It allows him to capture enemies much easier, which combined with his high con makes him one of the best units at interacting with the capture system. On the other hand, the fact that enemies don't need speed to double him means that his bulk can actually be somewhat suspect. This combination makes him a fun and powerful unit, but one that doesn't feel too broken.
Finally we have Frederick, from Fire Emblem Awakening. I listed him alongside Marcus and Seth as a very dominant unit. The difference between Frederick and the other top tier Jagens is that to me he enables interesting gameplay, rather than stifles it. Part of the reason for that is that unlike the GBA games (and a lot of other Fire Emblem games), there's not really any super good units that you can wait for. While Young Marcus has the pre-promote brigade, Old Marcus has characters like Rutger Zealot and Miledy that can take over, and Seth can bring in Gerik Cormag and Duessel as easy support, Frederick has nothing like that. Anna and Libra are good for sure, but you really want to train some earlygame units for combat, preventing him from just steamrolling the earlygame. Earlygame Awakening on lunatic is pretty alright for your other units, with the enemies being pretty strong but frail, and he doesn't just trivialize this portion of the game. Choosing which pair up to use with him leads to interesting decisions, where different combinations having benefits and drawbacks that need to be considered. He's a very satisfying unit to use as well: he can easily put enemy axe hit rates into the 20s with the right planning, and he gets enough exp that despite growing slower than your other units, he doesn't feel as bad to grow as someone like Marcus is. And you're rewarded for using him long term as well: He'll be able to reclass into other promoted classes and give really good pair-up bonuses, he'll gain access to Dual Guard which makes him a better pair-up bot, and he'll pass down good stats to a kid. In my opinion he is a very well designed unit, being powerful enough to be the center of your army, but not to the point of being overpowered or uninteresting.

All of these units are well designed for the game they're in. But I don't think that these units would fit as well into any context. In engage for example, I don't think any of these Jagen designs would work: it's growth based, it's build based, and ideally every character should be reasonably viable for endgame. The question then becomes: can there be a well designed Jagen for a game like Engage? This is a question that I already know the answer too: yes. There is already a Jagenesque character in a game with similar properties to Engage that I think is very well designed: Camilla. Camilla is in my mind the ideal Jagen for the modern era of Fire Emblem. Camilla may not join immediately in Conquest, but she is still the first (real) promoted unit that you get, and barely gets any exp on her join time. There are a few things that I want in a Jagen that Camilla fulfills. She sets up kills for other units easily, not just because she can't double with a steel or hand axe, but her personal, along with her dual strikes, makes many units capable of killing enemies that they otherwise wouldn't be able to. She's able to pull a lot of weight: no surprise there, she is easily your strongest unit from when you get her until Xander, and even then she has strengths that Xander doesn't have. She's also got limitations, the most obvious of which being that she flies, giving her a clear weakness for the designers to exploit that you have to work around. She can't solo Ch. 10 of Conquest (or at least it's very hard) because of the fact that it's a defend map, and while that's the map that limits her in the most obvious way, there are methods in other maps designed to prevent her from steamrolling. And she has what to me is the most important factor in a game like Conquest, which is that she has interesting long-term use. Her stats scale well into the lategame, and like most Conquest units she has interesting builds she can use. I find she's not quite as dominant in the lategame, but she's still very good, which is what I want from a unit like her in the first place. Now for Engage this template would have to be tweaked a bit but I believe that Camilla is the ideal model for designing modern Fire Emblem Jagens.

So, what do you think? Are there any factors that you think are worth mentioning that I didn't cover? Do you think I'm wrong? Do you think I have bad taste? Please let me know what you think.

2023.06.09 19:52 nyangelion hoa won't cover water damage to flooring?

hi all, not super familiar with legal property talk as i'm asking on behalf of my mom so sorry in advance for any slip ups.
yesterday we got a call from our building's management that they discovered a huge leak on the first floor of our building that was affecting condos on the second and third floor, and wanted to stop by our condo on the fifth floor to see if it could possibly be coming from there. we didn't notice anything at the time and told them to stop by tomorrow (aka today), but in the evening, we discovered that a central area of our flooring in the kitchen was warped and had water seeping out of it. it was weird because there was no visible leak anywhere: the floor was warping about three feet away from the wall, and when we pulled out the refrigerator and dishwasher, there was no dampness. we had a repairman under our condo's management come over and he discovered that the leak was coming from a corner in our kitchen that they could only get to by removing the sink, countertop, and backsplash of our kitchen (that got renovated less than two years ago. they'll put everything back and *might* be able to put the backsplash back as well but we'll see). the pipe responsible for the leak wasn't a pipe *for our condo*, but was a pipe running through *the entire building* that the repairman said was old and hadn't been maintained enough. they also discovered asbestos (!!!!) in the wall so we're gonna have to leave for a couple days while they clear everything out.
as i said, they're supposed to put everything back the way it was, but they're saying that they can't cover the damage to the floor because of virginia law, which says this:
The Unit Owners Association shall not be liable for any failures of watersupply or other services to be obtained by the Unit Owners Association or paid for as a Common Expense, or for injury or damage to person or property caused by the elements or by any Unit Owner, or resulting from electricity, water, snow or ice which may leak or flow from or over any portion of the Common Elements or from any pipe, drain, conduit, appliance or equipment. The Unit Owners Association shall not be liable to any Unit Owner for loss or damage, by left or otherwise, of articles which may be stored upon any of the Common Elements.
i understand that this sounds cut and dry but is there a possible loophole around this? the flooring of our condo isn't the only thing that's damaged as a result of the leak, as the wood underneath the floor is now carrying a ton of water and we're guessing it could affect the ceiling of the condo below us. as i said, other condos in the building have also been affected by the leak so that's also a factor.
we're willing to get a lawyer to duke this out if there's any way around this since our condo management is historically inept at maintaining our building (the pillars in our building and multiple other buildings are at risk of collapsing and we haven't seen them do anything besides fill in cracks in the wall, amongst many other things), so please let me know. thanks!

2023.06.09 19:52 viszuu Looking for roommate! 1 bed + 1 bath

Hi I am 22 years old and bought a 2 bed 2 bath condo and I cannot afford the mortgage + bills by myself. It is an upstairs unit located in the Centennial Hills area (Ann & US-95), the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.
You would have your own bedroom (13FT x 13FT with raised ceilings) as well as your own bathroom+garage space. I work full time so I’m literally only home just a few hours a day besides sleeping.
I’m being completely honest and asking us to split bills completely 50/50, we can meet in person and do cost breakdown but it’s looking like $1,100/month.
Please DM me about serious inquiries ONLY.

listen I don't really care that much about bag appeal. if it smokes good and gets me cooked I'll prolly like it. but I've noticed that the ontario legal market is seriously lacking in purple nugs. sure you may get the odd pack that has purple clusters but when the last time you got a pickup that was near fully or fully purple? I don't feel like it was that hard to find purple strains a few years back but I'm seriously having a hard time finding a pure purple strain.

2023.06.09 19:49 Business-File3234 Does any company have a chance to compete with HYBE in the K-Pop market these days?

This morning, 09/06/2023, a Music Business Worldwide article came out about how HYBE is currently raising a considerable amount of money with the aim of acquiring companies in Latin America. This news becomes even more interesting when we remember that just over two weeks ago we had the news that HYBE signed a contract with Tencent Music for content distribution in China, thus marking HYBE's entry into the Chinese market.
Bang Si-Hyuk, founder of HYBE HYBE, had already expressed interest in Latin America before, having already said in a recent interview for outdoor how K-pop should bet more on a Latin sound to reach a greater number of listeners, which it even makes me understand the choice of antigragil for the title of Le Sserafim. On the other hand, HYBE had previously expressed its lack of interest in the Chinese market, including how it had no interest in debuting idols from China, but apparently the huge number of album sales that its male groups (Seventeen, TXT, Enhypen ) has won in China in recent years has made them rethink the idea. Which makes you think that not even the biggest K-pop company today can afford to ignore the Chinese market.
I believe that most K-pop fans today are aware of HYBE's rise story, starting with the former Big Hit, a company that came from nowhere but debuted the biggest K-pop group in history. From then on, it became an industry giant, acquiring multiple companies in different countries, reaching the point of not only opening an office in the US but also acquiring an American company, Ithaca Holdings. Currently, HYBE already has a base in the two largest music markets in the world, USA and Japan, having already debuted its own Japanese group and still having North American artists like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande in its catalog. And now they also intend to enter China and Latin America.
I confess that at first I did not understand the choice of Latin America as the next market of interest for HYBE, after all, as stated above, the USA and Japan are the two largest music markets in the world, with China being the fifth and South Korea the 7. Now, UK, Germany, France are respectively the 3rd, 4th and 6th, and they are all European countries, so I imagined that Europe would be the next expansion market for K-pop, mainly with research stating about the growth of interest in K-pop in that region in recent years. But after reading the MBW article, the interest in Latin America became clearer. Apparently, this is a constantly growing market that should expand even more in the coming years, especially with regard to the digital music market. Recently we also had the launch of HYBE's first AI artist, Midnatt, who has his songs sung in 6 languages: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English, Spanish and Vietnamese. This last one goes along with HYBE's previous lines about also being interested in debuting more SEA idols.
If we look at the market value of the 4 big K-pop companies currently, what we will find is the following:
HYBE - $9.03 billion
JYP - $3.35 billion
SM - $1.84 billion
YG - $1.17
It is clear to anyone that the difference between the HYBE and the Big 3 is enormous, far surpassing the value of all of them together. YG had a good result this year, mainly due to the BLACKPINK tour, but the difference between her and the others is still striking, apart from the fact that she recently had a new drop in the value of her shares after the news of G Dragon's departure from company, which in turn also sells the complete shutdown of Big Bang from YG. SM's performance is also far from the best. After all the time spent with the dispute for control of the company between HYBE and Kakao, SM seems to have left even more weakened than how it entered, and to make matters worse now they are having to deal with a lawsuit from 3 members of one of their groups most famous, which in turn was also reflected in a drop in the value of the company's shares, which were already below the amount paid by kakao for the acquisition. SM 3.0 so far doesn't seem to be even close to meeting the results that were promised at the beginning of the year.
On the other hand, we have JYP, which has been showing itself as a company on the rise in recent years, having presented an impressive performance since the beginning of this year. The value of its shares went from 67,200 won in January this year to 131,200 won this morning, having reached a market value of 4 trillion won in mid-May, just one month after surpassing 3 trillion still in April, and currently being valued at 4.66 trillion. JYP is also being favored by foreign investors, who are buying its net shares at a price of 341 billion won. In comparison, the shares of other companies are being bought by the respective values of: 3.08 billion in HYBE, 158 billion in YG, 124 billion in SM.
Apparently, the reason why investors are interested in JYP is due to the growth in popularity of its 2 main groups, Stray Kids and TWICE, and the results that both have been showing in the biggest music markets in the world, especially Japan, China and the USA. Not randomly these are the 3 markets in which JYP has invested the most in recent years, having debuted a Chinese group, Boy Story, a Japanese group, NiziU. Last year, JYP officially opened its US office, which was born out of its partnership with Republic Records that started with TWICE signed with the American label in 2020 and later expanded with the other JYP groups also signed with RR. Now the two labels, RR and JYP, are working towards creating a group focused on the North American market. In addition, JYP plans to debut 3 male groups, one in Korea, one in Japan and one in China. Interestingly, JYP itself has already made it clear that after the North American group, their next project will be debuting a group in Latin America.
In this scenario, I pose the following question: do you believe in the possibility of some of the Big 3 companies being able to compete on an equal footing with HYBE in the near future? Or has HYBE already established itself in control of the South Korean music market and there is no longer any possibility of competition?
And as for other companies: do you believe that JYP will be able to maintain its continued success in business? Would she be the only one capable of competing against HYBE? And SM and YG, is there any chance of recovery for these two companies?
I would like to hear more opinion on the matter.

2023.06.09 19:48 OsamaBinWhiskers Needing some help what boat would you pick for us? Probably not a traditional boat owner as we're willing to sacrifice comfort for fun.

I'm trying to get educated, so hopefully you all can help me out here and direct me towards resources where I can learn more. My wife and I want to get a boat, probably looking for deals over the winter time, and I'm curious what my options are and what options are best.\
I want to preface we're kinda hippies and really not hard to please. We're going to be happy on the lake even if it's slow, little bumpy, We live near so many lakes I hate to never get to enjoy them. All the lakes are decent sized and connect with big rivers, so handing Saturday chop would be nice, but we'll be out on weekdays a lot.
Wanting something that could be pulled behind a small SUV rated for 1500-2000lbs. Probably could handle a little more and we'd just take back roads nice and slow.
Want something with or capable of having a bimini top.
Speed doesn't matter to us. 20mph would be a fine.
Don't care about skiing or tubes.
We want to explore and stop at marinas.
I like steering wheel vs the handle on the outboard.
Fairly reliable or at least reliable with enough maintenance. (lot of mechanic experience)
comfortable for 2 people, less comfy, but potentially 4-5 people (not necessary, but would be a nice feature.)
Around 5k or less. ( 2k and we buy a brand new outboard motor ) something like that.
I've considered doing a jon boat and making it have nice seats and a top.
Looked at aluminum v hull boats
fiberglass v hull boats
Pontoons seem to be too big no matter what to pull
Maybe this doesn't exist and if so that's ok. I see a lot of stuff used, but can never tell if it's garbage or not lol

Hey gang,
When I’m not outdoors exploring the wilderness, I haul a bunch of kids around in this 4 door Bronco to sports events. Cheerleaders, Lacrosse, and Baseball players. And I’ll be damned if I don’t have a water bottle or two rolling around the trunk at every corner I turn.
Anyone have some favorite storage solutions for weird things like sports bags and bottles? I’m guessing a bungie type system would serve me well given the odd sizes of each.
Thanks!

2023.06.09 19:47 Royal_Title1253 AITA for what I said to my step-mom

I'm 24M. My dad and my step-mom got married when I was 12 and my step-sister was 7. I have a great relationship with both of them, I'm close with both of them, I'm glad that my step-mom makes my dad happy.
The one negative about my step-mom is she will always look to outsource " tough decisions" the " tough conversations" to either myself or my dad. I don't know why, I can't explain it, but, thats what she does. When my step-sister didn't pass her driver's test the first time, she called me and asked me to talk to her. I asked my dad later on, privately, if her mom ever talked to her about the driving thing, he said she hadn't.
The situation is this: My step-sister came home from college having just finished her freshman year, and she came home so much heavier weight-wise to the point where my point where my step-mom called in a damn near panic.
All I kept hearing was, " She's got to be up 50, 60 pounds" " She must've just ate non-stop" " She's so out of shape"
When I told my step-mom that not of this freaking out was going to help, I asked what she wanted me to do. She wanted me to call my step-sister and tell her to buckle down this summer, get on a diet, exercise every day, and get healthy.
I tried explaining to my step-mom that if I say any of that stuff, all my step-sister will hear is, " Hey, the folks think you're really fat, time to throw out the cookies and do some wind sprints". That is what she'll internalize it as
My step-mom didn't grasp what i was getting at and kept going. I cut her off and told her that I was not going to be a part of this and told her not to ever bring this issue up to me again.
She tried flipping into me not caring about my step-sister's health, I said that wasn't true, but that i didn't care for the bullshit, over-the top theatrics that she was pulling.
She sarcastically thanked me for my help and hung up.
AITA?

2023.06.09 19:47 IHOP_007 If you go "Public Bowling" you still get your own lane right?

The bowling alley near me has "Public Bowling" rates as well as an "Hourly Deal" to pay for an entire lane for up to 6 people.
Am I correct in assuming that if you + a couple friends go bowling paying the Public Bowling rate you still get your own lane?
I'd imagine the point of the "Hourly Deal" is to make it a bit cheaper if you've got a full group of 6 people right?

2023.06.09 19:47 sexymanhands Advice welcome. 1967 Audi 80 Variant

Ok. Hi! I know nothing about cars but I respect your knowledge greatly. Someone I know is going to scrap or sell a 1967 Audi 80 Variant f103. He’ll give it to me for $500. It’s been in storage for like 40 years, clearly will not run lol, body looks good.
Like what am I looking at? It’s a pretty wagon, but like it’s gonna cost me a million bucks (which I don’t have) just to get it running right? How much? If I could get it running I’d spend the rest of my life slowly trying to make it look nice.
Should I let this person take it to a junk yard? Or should I buy it and like try to sell it for more than $500? Is that a thing? What are my options here?
I can find next to nothing online about this car but a couple times I read something like there’s maybe 10 of these registered in the world now.
Any advice would be helpful.
I appreciate any advice.

2023.06.09 19:46 EzitoKo [Superslicer] First layer printing on mid air

Hello!
In Superslicer I'm having an issue where my first layer is being printed in mid air. For a bit of context: I have a marlin printer with an inductive z probe, and the z offset is perfectly calibrated.
However, when I try to print a model sliced using Superslicer, it seems like the print isn't started at Z0, but rather at Z0.3, which I believe is causing the issue.
Here's an extract of my gcode to try to illustrate, this is after my starting script
gcode M107 G21 ; set units to millimeters G90 ; use absolute coordinates M82 ; use absolute distances for extrusion G92 E0 ; Filament gcode ;_TOOLCHANGE 0 M107 ;LAYER_CHANGE ;Z:0.3 ;HEIGHT:0.3 G10 ; retract G1 Z1 F1020 G92 E0 G1 Z1.3 ; printing object dice-tower-ramparts-tower-base-v1-1.stl id:0 copy 0 M486 S0 G1 X73.2572 Y74.0248 F4620 G1 Z0.3 F1020 ; <--- I THINK THIS IS THE PROBLEM G11 ; unretract G92 E0 ;TYPE:External perimeter ;WIDTH:0.604 G1 F1800 G1 X79.2436 Y74.0595 E0.40291 ...
Assuming that's the problem, I'm new to Superslicer and I have no idea how to fix it, does anybody know the setting that should be changed?
If it turns out that's not the problem, fan anybody point me to the right direction?
Thank you very much beforehand!

2023.06.09 19:46 Business-File3234 Does any company have a chance to compete with HYBE in the K-Pop market these days?

2023.06.09 19:45 GivDakka What is a comprehensive list of typical weapons for the late medieval period (1300-1500)?

So I'm making a game, and I want it to be realistic. Armor is done as damage reduction, weapons gain a significant bonus to damage based on strength or dexterity (or other physical stats in rare instances), and I want a through list of weaponry that is *reasonably* specific (ie I don't want to have extremely obscure weapons that hardly saw use unless there's a good reason, nor do I want every flavor of polearm if they are functionally the same or similar enough that it would be a waste to list them). However, the rule of cool applies; that is to say if it's exceedingly cool I'll add it.
Here's the brief on how my weapons work:
Name [Cost in gold pieces (gp), equivalent to about a florin. Note that I did my best to go easy on the price for the player's sake] Short description
Damage type/s (Piercing, Slashing, or bashing) The approximate number of attacks a trained person could make in about 10 seconds Damage, with the average health of a person being about 10 (stat used to add damage) [when applicable, one or two handed-ness for weapons that can be wielded with one or two hands] Other effects, such as Reach (allows a target to target 1 space longer than normal)
It is important to note that critical hits ignore armor, and are scored when a weapon deals max damage (so knives are actually very effective against armor, just like in real life)
