I'm new to Krita and still getting the hang of it. As the title says, whenever I switch to a different view window (in the same project), the active layer changes to whichever one I most recently used in that specific view rather than the one I'm currently working on.
For example, if I draw something on layer 1 in view 1, then draw on layer 2 in view 2, then switch back to view 1, layer 1 will be active again. That's not how it worked in the program I previously used so it trips me up. There are reasons why this behavior could be useful of course, but I find that it hurts me a lot more often than it helps, and leads to me not noticing that I've drawn something on the wrong layer until it's too late. Is there a way to change this in the settings, or is that just something I'll have to get used to with Krita?

One of my Bearded dragons went into the hide on his cold side about 2 weeks ago. Prior to this he had been spending alot of time on the cooler side, not eating etc progressively more for a couple of weeks. Otherwise medically ok. Call me a chicken, but I’m afraid to check him (I have a thing with dead things!). I was told and I remember from my blue tongue that they smell rancid almost immediately. Is this true? Should I leave him, or check him?

So basically I was on YouTube when I saw a short where a guy was talking about the scene where we see the evolution of the robot and how funny it would be if one of the heroes managed to beat like 6 of the past iterations. But as he was talking, I started to think more about that scene. Cause I remember how syndrome used former super heroes to test his robots, and how all of them before Mr incredible died fighting them. But it was only recently that it registered in my mind that this would mean that Syndrome is was a serial killer, even if he didn't kill those heroes directly.

M1 MacBook Air 8gb ram was actually not bad but can’t stand using it for MS office. Same for my base model M1 Mini.
Also have a thinkpad x1 i7-1165g7, 16gb ram, 1tb ssd that’s feels close to being able to handle everything BUT notice a slow down frequently enough.
Would like to keep it under $500
Saw a budget build on YouTube using an i3-1300f that seemed promising. Should be a 20-25% bump in power compared to the laptop?

Okay so me and this girl had sex on the 24th of May, without protection and no plan-b whatsoever. I pulled out when i finished and covered myself with my hand. Hi, I'm sure there are a lot of people who post this type of thing on here so I hope this isn't getting old for people but I REALLY need to talk to someone about this.
I'm a 19 year old cis woman and for as long as I can remember relationships have been... complicated for me. I'll try and keep this brief and just explain what I'm feeling. (EDIT: This didn't turn out to be brief, and also turned into more of a rant, sorry)
To summarise, this is how relationships go for me:
I can have an interest in pursuing relationships with a man. I've had crushes on men. In my head I love the idea of a romantic relationship with a man, including everything it comes with (commitment, vulnerability, sex, none of that's an issue in my mind), but this completely goes away when it comes to reality. I can have a really strong crush on a guy and I can't imagine anything better than dating them, but the second they show even the slightest interest back in me, I feel extremely uncomfortable and scared (like sick in my stomach) and loose all feelings I ever thought I had for them in. This has literally been happening my whole life. Like, even when I was 6 and people were getting married under the monkey bars, I still felt widely uncomfortable with the idea.
I have also considered the possibility that I might not be straight, and that if I turned my attention towards girls I would feel differently. I was open to this possibility, but quickly realised that girls do it for me even less than men do, so that's been dismissed.
I never thought I was aro because I really want to be in a relationship and, like I said, I can develop crushes just fine. Then I heard someone talking about how they were also ace/aro and could still crush on someone, just never anything more. I then did some more research on aromantics and it's sent me into a bit of a panic - I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but if I was aro I would be devastated since I really want to find love at some point in my life.
Anyway, that's the gist of it. The only other thing I should add is that I am currently in therapy for this issue. I have been to two therapists and am seeing a third who have tried to understand or provide a solution to this issue, which none of them have. I also can't touch people without it putting me in a lot of distress, which is another issue no one has been able to make sense of. (Just to clarify, this is not the cause for my fear of relationships as it's not specifically the physical contact that puts me off. It's just another obstacle) Over the course of my therapy I've been treated for social anxiety, which I knew I didn't have, and my therapist realised after the first 4 sessions) I also have no trauma that could trigger this - No abuse, no neglect, etc. As well the possibility that I'm autistic, but I show no other symptoms apart from the sensory and intimacy issues) I, and my therapist, have no idea what's going on, and at this point it seems like the logical conclusion, but as I said, the idea of never being able to fall in love really upsets me.
Can it really be possible that I'm aro? If anyone can give me any insight into this, please let me know and I hope this is okay to post here.

So I'm in the middle of upgrading and I am researching NVMe SSD specs and specific products. I like the SK hynix Platinum P41 (especially since it manages to maintain speed for a long time). Performance, power consumption and heat seem to be great. TLC with DRAM seems great. I have read some Amazon reviews, so I am still concerned about the lifespan of the drives. I'm planning on getting one NVME now to replace my game storage HDD (takes up so much space and cables) I might get another NVME later this year after upgrading my MB to replace my OS Sata SSD. If you have used any of the SK hynix Platinum P41 line up, please share your experience. TLD specific questions: What capacity did you choose? OS or storage? Did you clone your OS to it? How long have you been using it? Does it still manage to maintain the speed, after months (potentially years) of use If you are no longer using it, what made you switch?
Edit: I think I will go for the solidigm p44 Pro

If one has a VPN config set at the network edge on one's router, does it make sense to change this config routinely with your provider? Is there a benefit to do this as hardening from exit node correlation attacks or similar?
I am not sure about the efficacy of this or even if it makes sense, but as privacy enthusiasts we know it is a good practice to stay away from "routine". Tor exit nodes change frequently per circuit, entry guards change periodically every three months. I haven't seen this discussed in relation to VPN's, so I am asking for discussion here.

Ok on to the plot! Although quick disclaimer for a few reasons, one this will contain graphic sexual themes relatively often, this entire prompt follows a plot loosely connected to the canon, so it’s very much story driven, but I’m a big fan of writing smut, not your cup of tea? Ok on to the plot! This post is already long so I’ll try to keep this brief.
Plot one will be where we start the prompt taking place probably mid July, the summer after dumbledores death. I’ll be playing Draco, and you an OC, Draco has no loyalty to Voldemort anymore and ever since that night on the astronomy tower, he’s been planning on ways to work against the dark order.
Your OC was just inducted into the inner circle of the death eaters, you’re the same age as Draco and you also have no loyalty to Voldemort, but joined only to obey your parents wishes.
We become friends and in time Draco confides his true loyalties to her, and they embark on their journey together.
Plot 2, the golden trio, almost identical to that of the plot in book 7, accept given the circumstances and the fact they’re living together 24/7 they become friends with benefits. (Details can be discussed of course)
Plot 3, the curse that hits moody in the magical eye but he survives and goes on the run, laying low training researching and recruiting.
Dumbledores soul was already marred by Ariana’s death, his remorse was never completely genuine because he was never sure whether he did it or not so he could never repair it. So he uses it to his advantage and makes a horcrux, Fawkes. Which is why he knows nagini is one because the relationship between Voldemort and nagini is identical to that of dumbledore and Fawkes.
It’s stated that moody and dumbledore were close, so for plot convenience we’ll say moody knew of a safe house of dumbledore which is where he’s been laying low. Fawkes finds him and somehow explains that dumbledore is alive.
Dumbledore suspected that Harry was a horcrux from the beginning which is why he never told Harry more than he needed to know including the fact that he didn’t actually destroy the sorcerers stone. Which is what he uses to regenerate to a full body again.
Meanwhile Voldemort is much stronger then the canon with armies much greater. So dumbledore turns to a last resort, grindlewald. We know he’s shown remorse and under veritaserum it’s proven so and he wants to help, as a form of penitence
That’s the rough draft of the plot, it’s a bit all over the place and I’m more than willing to discuss details extensively. Dms and comments are more then welcome!

So I've been pretty awkward around people for a long time and have recently been opening up, seeking mental health help, and trying to push myself in social settings. I can talk to one person just fine, if I get along with the person I can socialise for hours and not have much of a problem. But I still find it really hard to socialise with groups of people, even with just 2 or 3 people I find myself talking to just one at a time and shutting myself off from the others in the group. I've been invited to a 50th birthday holiday in Amsterdam with a group of people in work, most if not all of them I can easily get along with one on one. It's not happening till next year, but I'm getting anxious that I'm gonna just shut myself off or be the weird guy in the group. What can I do about this situation to improve myself before then, is it something I can work on alone or should I see a doctor or therapist about it? Sorry for the paragraph it takes me using drugs to realise I need to work on myself so I may have rambled a bit, any help is appreciated.

Hi all, I'm new to reddit, to sum it it, I have made a few other posts on some other subreddits but I am still kind of in the shadow regarding this matter, so I am originally from brazil i'm currently on a tourist visa not even a working one yet, so I can't get a legal proper job, I am living here in the US for about 6 months now my family was always from here on my mothers side but my dads family is from brazil and I am doing law school there finishing it online now, I am supposed to graduate this year from it, I have all the intentions on staying here and make a living, my monthly income is pretty okay I receive from my family back and brazil and that gives me a pretty decent life, this month I had to deal with something I never experiencied. before expensive us medical bills, my aunts husband suffered an accident and I had to get in the middle and help financially, and to recover from it, I had to get a loan back from my hometown in brazil and still am 200$ short on rent, I am not on debt and anything but how do I prevent from getting into debt here, can I not pay rent for a month? How does these things work here in the us. Sorry I am still very naive to the american way of doing stuff, am I being dumb or is there something I should have done already ?

Something I noticed while reading is the distinction presented between the anthropoid Creatures and animals. Does anyone find it odd that no one seems to object to the consumption of animals (venison), even when creatures should have some affinity for their animal counterparts, such as the fact that draft animals such as horses are used while there are equine creatures that exist? Furthermore, while cooking is performed by creatures, this appears to be limited to flora, not fauna, as Tamberlane was fed raw venison, and cooking it first did not appear to occur to the creatures.
