The quick point: the art designers making cosmetics would be done at the the same time as the the coders are coding, if they didn't make cosmetics it would only reduce the amount content added overall, you are all just mad that the only satisfying piece of the update is the performance pass.
With that being said, the long point. Despite this Season having the longest gap they didn't work on it for that long, the couple weeks after season 3 was spent on patches and the Christmas event, they then took a break till the new year, in which they probably started throwing around ideas for season 4, but they still were not working on it. They were doing holiday events, the new years ,anniversary, Easter, even Halloween, they were decorating the hubs, adding the new in game events, doing the cosmetics, plus they had the beta build for the anniversary ( and they were publishing but that had no effect on development on the game. When asked in dev streams up untill February they said they still didn't know what they were doing for season 4. It wasn't untill the anniversary stream did they release the road map, which at 3 to 4 months in was the latest roadmap yet (normaly within a month or two). My point being that season 4 was never going to live up to the 7 and a half months of time because it was maybe 5ish months of work. A side point is remember what they did to holiday events during this Season and add that to your season expectations. Point 2, their is a good amount of content, it's just not the in your face kind. We got 7 new enemies (+2 cut ones that could return) one of which is a new boss type event like the Korlock or BETC, and 2 that are now part of the normal pool that will continue to spice up all missions from now on, and the other 4 being a much needed bolstering to the rock pox, making it a worthy addition to the game. Rocket Boots, that alone are cool and add a new layer to traversal in some missions, but also adds a new mechanic "power up" which could be added onto in the future. A new little mini game (which I'm sure will get me killed hundreds of times) which was then added to the hub, for more hub based fun, a staple of each season. The new beer, which introduces a new layer to the game, randomised builds, which is fun for every teir of player, but is for the dwarf who have done everything. It has the potential to define people's experiencinces with the game, some player might love randomness and use it on all missions, others might use it for the extra challenge it provides, or just for a little fun with friends. The randomising you can do your self is a more controlled form and pairs well with the cosmetics randomiser. Then copy and paste loadouts, consdering that people have been begging for this for years their real quiet about ghost ship finally adding it. For the fashionista s (me included) they added sleavless armour for all the mrks and scale brigades, essentially adding six new armour to each dwarfs, also adding the opportunity for tattoos as a cosmetic options, and showing that they are capable of taking apart old cosmetics(which they should use for alot of headgears). Then weapon input buffers, I have no idea what that means but they did it. And while that weapon balancing don't his season was only on one weapon, they chose the exact right weapon that needed it and radically changed it's mods, I haven't used it but I have heard good things. And while that all the main headline stuff there is some gold hidden in the misc. "Fixed that drop pod would sometimes land inside walls","Rock pox wave now have a chance to spawn uring normal missions","sabotage missions now have mutators","tweaked the terrain generation around that caretaker, to improve veriaty and allow biome and cave generation to have a greater impact on the area.","the litho-equipment have a hologram above them". My point being having read all that you can't say their isn't enough content, I didn't even mention the profomance pass content, the issue is there isn't an equipment or map icon based addition.
Point 3, there isn't too little content, it's just not the right content. With a reminder that they spent the normal or less time on this Season, the volume and quality we have come to expect is there. It's just the areas of the game it has been put into has thrown people off, this Season will improve the game more than season 3 did, So why are people upset, because their isn't a icon on the map saying "new content over here!" Or anything to new to experiment with in the weapons terminal, and despite my tone so far, that was a mistake on their behalf, they should have known that this would happen if they didn't add either. But i don't blame them since seasons they have never not had both, season 1- game mode, primary weapons season 2- warning, secondary weapons season 3- warning, grenades season 4- n/a, rocket boots or the beer, both carry the spirit of equipment changing how you play the game, but neither carry experimentation so ultimately fail to hold the weight of the desire, this is where thay slipped up again, this I the worst weapon balancing since seasons, only one weapon was changed in a way that would warrant experimenting, so that part of the seasons, the part where you would try the new equipment or the change you faverate weapon got doesn't exist. Resulting in a very stale season to look falward to, plus with no new thing to try in mission or warning. That is the issue with this Season not cosmetics.
This leads me to my final point. Leave the cosmetictic out of this you morons, if I see one more person want less cosmetics next season I will break into their house and sleep under their bed but only when their not home. I cannot put into words the rage I feel when someone want to reduce the only guaranteed content we get each season, not to mention that making you dwarf look drippy as hell is the only incentive to play after getting all the overclocks. To ever one who complains about "having too much in cargo crates" has clearly never emptied it, I would crack steeves head on a mug like an egg and drink his blood to get a single thing in my cargo crates again, the best thing about the new weopons was that they added the new weapons old frameworks to the crate.
In conclusion, the cosmetics have nothing to do with the season being lack luster, you are just jealous that the only people happy with this Season are the people who value a good looking dwarf over anything else.

I am a 30y/o female, living with my 35 y/o boyfriend. We've been together around 9 months.
We started our relationship instantly feeling a connection to each other and finding a comfort and familiarity in being together. We found so many similarities and just moments where we could read each others thoughts without even trying. It was truly eerie sometimes. I felt like i knew this person in a past life, and i had so many signs pointing to him. It was like someone wrote down my dream man since i was a little girl and here he was in front of my face.
We were both so happy with the love we found, and felt we were lucky to have this sort of once in a lifetime instant connection that not everyone would be lucky enough to find in there lifetime. We both had grown a lot in life before meeting each other and thought it was so great to find a person that really loved the other for who they were.
Early into the relationship I withheld some information about a friend. This friend i wasn't really close to in the moment, but he had been a good friend in my life for about 10years. Long story short one night early into the friendship we got drunk and hooked up, but we admitted it was stupid and just remained friends for those 10years. My now boyfriend found this out and was upset that i told him he had nothing to worry about with this man in my life. He felt lied to and betrayed, i understood where he was coming from but felt i didn't actually lie because he really didn't have to worry about this person at all. It was a drunken mistake from 10years ago and why start a new relationship bringing up the past that doesn't matter? On top of this situation, i was dating around before meeting my now boyfriend, but i was very open about this. Explained how long the relationships lasted, how traumatized i was by one of them being a total narcissist, and how i think i was struggling with being alone at the time (honestly it was only 2 guys but i went from one relationship to another and i felt like i looked easy or desperate at this time in my life). I wanted to be open because i wanted to lay my red flags out in my own words before it all came out and he jumped ship. He was definitely nervous in hearing all of these things about my past, he has higher standards and morals and didn't date often because he found comfort and peace in being alone and the life he had with his girls. He wanted to give things a shot between us because of the connection we had and the good qualities he saw in me, even though he probably wouldn't have dated me if he knew some of these things first because it would have been a turn off. I think he struggled even then with believing i was the woman for him, how could i be this wonderful person if i had these negative experiences in my past. He recognized it as doubts, but let them eat away at him instead of believing in me and himself (i don't think he ever thought he deserved to be happy so it changed how he perceived a lot of things).
Through our whole relationship so far we've fought every few weeks, usually i have a moment of selfishness where i don't think of his needs and he's afraid i don't really care about him. Every time he questions if we're right for each other and wants time and space to figure out if i can give him what he needs in a relationship. I try to understand his perspective, and truly feel i was being selfish most of the time. But we're different people and a situation that i don't think is wrong bothers him to the point that i should have known it would hurt him. I always understand what i did in retrospect, but i have a hard time putting myself in his shoes in the moment.
i try to put him first whenever i can, supporting his passions, helping with the kids and keeping our home clean, whatever little gesture i can give him in my everyday i try to make it a point to show him i care. I often over think and don't always show enough physical affection, which makes it all seem one sided. But we've talked about how i over think and get in my own way and i'm working on it.
Through all this i feel i am trying so hard to show i care and not be selfish when it means the most, but have repeat fights where i am blind sided by how i even could have hurt him because i think i'm being good the whole time. I hear him out and apologize, but after always apologizing and saying i'll try to be better in the moment instead of understanding after the fact, he' s definitely starting to feel like i'm just telling him what he wants to hear. He doesn't know if i can meet his needs, even if i'm trying and i love him, i might just not be capable.
Now i overthink even more because i don't want to make him mad. I want to give him space to process a fight but i don't want him to think that i don't care because i'm not being affectionate. I want him to see all of the things that i do everyday, instead of just those moments when i fuck up. I know that they seem to keep happening for him but i am not perfect and i can't change over night. They may still happen even if i'm trying, and he doesn't see the internal struggle and effort he just sees those moments when i hurt him.
I'm afraid to tell him that if he had a little perspective and understanding, he might not get so hurt by the selfish moments. I understand i'm the catalyst in something going wrong between us, but it turns into the end all moment of our relationship every time we fight because he's hurting and i caused it AGAIN. I feel like we start off in this battle we have to come down from, instead of starting off in a conversation about feelings and understanding.
I'm not sure what i'm trying to get out of this post, i'm just so sick of hurting the man i care about without even meaning to. I'm so hurt myself knowing that these moments where i screw up totally erase the moments where i show him i care and the connection we felt is definitely not the same as it was after all of this. He used to say no woman could show him the love that i do, and he's never felt so loved in his life. Now he doesn't say those things because we seem to be stuck in this cycle. I know i can help break the cycle by thinking of his feelings more in certain moments, but how do i get through to him that his part of the cycle is the lack of understanding of my perspective, just enough to see that its not that i don't care i just made a mistake? If he cut me a break sometimes and thought about the fact that i'm human and i care, he might not be so hurt thinking i can never change or that i'm hurting him on purpose. I feel like he's constantly believing his doubts instead of believing in me. I understand that after the same mistakes repeating themselves that doubt would surface, but i feel like he's just always expecting the worst from me. Does he even know me at all if he thinks my intentions are anything but pure? I feel like his first reaction is to assume the worst and i have to convince him of who i am and where i am coming from. I have doubts too but i don't act on them, and i don't assume he's coming from a bad place when i misunderstand his side. I just wish he could do the same. We're different people and i love him for all that he is, and all that he isn't. Even in those moments where he doubts and believes the worst in me, i try to understand where he's coming from and how his thoughts led him to that conclusion.
I know that deep down he must have some faith in what we have or he would have left a long time ago. But i don't know how much longer he will stay feeling hurt, i don't know how i keep hurting him with stupid mistakes, and i don't want to think that loving each other might not be enough to meet each others needs in this relationship. He said he's trying and he just needs time to get over being hurt and stop his thoughts from bringing him to a dark place. I understand, want to give him that space, and definitely don't want to make things harder. But in keeping my distance i fear i've already lost him and i'm just waiting for the floor to fall out from under me.

I recently decided to up my skin care routine after many years of subpar skin. For the last decade [27f] my skin has been low maintenance but not really "nice". Not dry nor oily, not acne prone but dull and large pores that clog easily. I don't really have blackheads, but absolutely have issues with sebaceous/dirt filled pores around my nose and cheeks.
It's been one full month of about 95% consistency [morning routine always gets done, some Saturday nights I have missed the night routine] and I haven't seen any changes really at all. Please read my breakdown and let me know if I'm missing anything, if I need more time, professional services, or if I'm just doomed to have cloggy looking pores forever lol.
Morning:
> Burts Bees oil cleanser

> BHA/AHA exfoliation toner by Peachy - NOTE: pores look better after this but only temporary

Night:

Everyone says not to extract the oil/filaments, but I don't know how else they would clear up. They're very visible, and while I have no major expectations because I know skincare isn't magic, but they just look so shitty for the amount of effort I've been putting in. As far as technique, I follow the instructions to a T on all of the products. I don't touch my face very much throughout the day and wash my hands frequently anyway!

Everyone says not to extract the oil/filaments, but I don't know how else they would clear up. They're very visible, and while I have no major expectations because I know skincare isn't magic, but they just look so shitty for the amount of effort I've been putting in. As far as technique, I follow the instructions to a T on all of the products. I don't touch my face very much throughout the day and wash my hands frequently anyway!

Hi, I live in NYC and my beater car was recently totaled so I don't have one now. Honestly it's nice not to have one and I don't really need it except for certain kinds of errands and road trips. I use transit and cycling for most travel no matter what. However, I am now 1099 and can make full use of the $7,500 federal tax credit and a $2,000 NY rebate. The final price for a new model 3 with a few options now comes out to $30,680, WELL below used Model 3 selling prices (2-4k below 4 year old Model 3s with 50k miles). I have a relatively large savings/stock account which can easily cover this and still be healthy but my income itself does not justify the purchase. Should I take this, enjoy it for a year or two and sell it after to potentially profit or break even?

I think that Meta and Apple are both well-positioned to succeed in the metaverse gaming market. They have the resources and expertise to develop high-quality VR headsets and games.
And as time goes on, I know lots of Metaverse projects will be agnostic with the device and holoride, OthersideMeta, Futureverse, and Wilderworld some of my favourite platforms won't be exempted. Like, an operand placed to the right of an operator is actually a parameter for the operator function. I found this interesting because it seems like it can be basically anything as long as the behavior is defined. Is this only true of operators or are there other functions that have implicit parameters that donāt have to be inside the call parentheses?
The official page for overloaded operators uses an imaginary number class to overload the plus operator. When ācalledā, the left operand is treated as the calling class even though the call is āa + bā rather than āa.+ bā or āa.+(b)ā.
Does this mean that the left operand of an overloaded operator is always the calling class?
What about classless overloaded operators? What happens when the left operand of the operator is not a class? Are there two implied parameters rather than one?

I need a reality check.
3 year old (in school) and 10m old, cleaning, meal prep, laundry for the kids. Driving to school and parks using my own car. M-F 9hr days.
The most the family is telling me they can pay is $900/week with no gas reimbursement (they first started off with $850). I told them my going rate is $25/hr and that I couldnāt do less than $22/hr after she asked me to reconsider. Iām thinking of telling her I will do all this for $1k a week. Is this too much pushback and just settle for the $900? I know thatās like $20 an hour and so much less than what I originally asked for. Everything talked about sounds great. Remote workers are going to be able to have the office setup of their dreams. But when it comes AR and using it outside I just donāt see a benefit. I am aware that they may not want us to use it outside, but imagine for a moment, you walk outside wearing this and it puts your trail path in front of you for a hike or walk. Or you are driving and you direction are actually on the road. Cars and pedestrians are highlighted and street signs, etc are made more visible. Or you just want every tree to look like a Minecraft tree, whatever, that is what I want to see from AR. This year is going to be exciting for this tech and I hope it revitalizes the AR industry. Hopefully we see a lot more companies try to compete with apple in this space with more consumer friendly pricing. On another not, I think $2500 would have been the perfect price point for this device. Especially since you might be pairing it with a $1200 MacBook, etc.

Hey all. For those of us trying to escape retail for a WFH position, I just wanted to give a heads up to please be careful. Itās easy to say and think I would never fall for this. But they can be quite clever and cunning. Iām pretty sure I was contacted by a scammer under the guise of a legitimate company. Iām reaching out to the company to confirm, so I wonāt name names. But please. If it sounds too good to be true, then it most likely is.
Some red flags: 1. Chat via Teams for a āpre interviewā. Not a phone or video interview. 2. Asking what bank do you use to āsee if it tallies with the companyās official salary payment account.ā Or something like this. 3. Asking how would you would like to be paid. Weekly/biweekly? Check or direct deposit? 4. Telling you to report back to them on the chat platform they use at a specific time. And they tell you congratulations! You got the job! With some strong ego fluff surrounding it. 5. Unfortunately, them being very upfront and explicit with a very tempting dollar amount in the initial conversation. HUGE red flag. 6. Dangling the carrot of WFH. 7. Side stepping the request for official company contact information or an official document of employment. They said I will be contacted at the end of the week with the documentation. (What, so they have time to forge it?)
If anyone else has had similar experiences or anything to add, please do. We have to watch out for each other and do a better job of protecting each other. And I mean that outside of just scammy job offers, too. Cuz this whole thing be some bullshit.

Some red flags: 1. Chat via Teams for a āpre interviewā. Not a phone or video interview. 2. Asking what bank do you use to āsee if it tallies with the companyās official salary payment account.ā Or something like this. 3. Asking how would you would like to be paid. Weekly/biweekly? Check or direct deposit? 4. Telling you to report back to them on the chat platform they use at a specific time. And they tell you congratulations! You got the job! With some strong ego fluff surrounding it. 5. Unfortunately, them being very upfront and explicit with a very tempting dollar amount in the initial conversation. HUGE red flag. 6. Dangling the carrot of WFH. 7. Side stepping the request for official company contact information or an official document of employment. They said I will be contacted at the end of the week with the documentation. (What, so they have time to forge it?)
If anyone else has had similar experiences or anything to add, please do. We have to watch out for each other and do a better job of protecting each other. And I mean that outside of just scammy job offers, too. Cuz this whole thing be some bullshit.

Hi everyone I have been eying up a classic Volvo to use as my daily driver. (I donāt drive much as I borrow a work vehicle for my commute but will do comping trips and short roadtrips in it)
Anyway, the car I am looking at had the following advisory on itās last MOT (05/22); Integral body structure is corroded but structural rigidity is not significantly reduced (6.1.1 (c) (i))
As I am aware that corrosion can be a big problem, I wonder what your advise is. Stay away from it or can it still be worth something as it says ānot significantly reducedā.
Offcourse I will tell the seller that I am not interested if he doesnāt renew the MOT. The car has only done about 20miles in the last year though.
Anybody who can explain how significant rust has to be to make it to an advisory and where it could be as I think integral body structure is not a very detailed description.

2023.06.06 15:42 punppis Pioneer head unit flickers and unresponsive on first start after a while on BMW E90
Every time after I have not used the car in ~30-60 minutes when I insert the key (ACC), the head unit takes a while to start and when it does, buttons flicker, complains about GPS antenna or whatever random and is completely unresponsive. After a while it crashes, reboots and does same thing over again if I don't power cycle.
If I remove the key and wait for ACC to power off, head units power off and I can start the car normally. There is no issue on the car itself, only the head unit. I don't even have to start the car, just removing and entering the key again is enough.
If I go to the supermarket and start the car, it works normally.
At first I had the constant power cable extended to the battery in trunk but the issue is still there. Local dealer with 20 years of experience said that with due to BMW battery placement the correct way is to get the constant power from correct fuse, so I checked with the youtube/multimeter waiting a good amount of time where I get constant power and connected to it. No change.
I'm not sure if the issue is even the constant power but it sure seems like it.
What should I do? Seems like easy enough fix that I don't feel comfortable to spend $200 for dealer.
TLDR:- After ~30-60minutes car turned off and locked there is some poweconnection issue- Works perfectly after first time- Constant power from battery in trunk tried- Constant power from fusebox tried- Removing amplifier completely from battery tried

I chatted with Progressive (my insurer). This is what I was told but I would like a 2nd eye on how to interpret it.
"The following coverages transfer, as long as they are currently on the policy. Coverage does not transfer for vehicles used for ridesharing, unless vehicle is added to policy. Bodily Injury & Property Damage PD will extend to damages our insured caused to another party's property. PD coverage will not extend to damages our insured caused to the rental/non-owned vehicle. Those damages would fall under collision coverage. Uninsured Motorist (UM) & Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) Medical Payments/Medical Expenses/Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Comprehensive & Collision Physical damage coverage will transfer if at least one vehicle has comprehensive & collision. If more than one vehicle on policy, lowest deductible will apply. For policies in Florida PIP does not transfer if vehicle is driven out of state."
Based on this, I don't think I'll need collision/damage protection. Or should I still get the $13/day collision/damage protection through Priceline/Allianz?

I know a lot of people on this subreddit are familiar with general questions and probably have answers to these questions as of a long time ago. But I think the average person on this planet may change their perspective on where they rank things like; race, poverty, war, profiteering and science. And then asking different questions of the world.

- Is there a reason, if we as humans were explained the physics of an object, that we could NOT understand it? Or is our grasp on physics rudimentary enough to conceive any transition?
- Would any particular species necessarily be more intelligent than us, or would they be standing on the "shoulders of giants" but over millennia? The person who drives the car, doesn't comprehend every aspect of engine to motion. We may have a much deeper intelligence regarding art, cuisine, and humour - for example.
- Initiating contact would come at a non-zero risk, but would potentially benefit us by billions of years of advancements. Are these beings interested in exchanging culture and trade? Have they done that with previous generations on this planet? Risk is not loss.
- The ideal speed of movement would best be connected to synapse (reaction) timings, natural or artificial. Connecting your controls to light would enable a system absolute speed & precision. Can a human body withstand motion like that & under what scientific circumstances? Anti gravity?
- Is there anything we can learn about death from an older intelligent species?
- Would we be able to interact our AI with their AI, to connect large databanks of information? Is our knowledge of computers (and storage) significant enough to store potentially millions of years of scientific breakthroughs - or would any alien race be able to carry round ridiculous amounts of information in comparison?

For the last 7 years, my partner has used the line "What if we need to get to the hospital or there is an emergency?" As a guilt tripping point whenever for social events and home life to get me out of going to work parties, travelling without a car and at one point to stop me selling my car in favour of taking the bus to work. This has even extended to our dog on occasion "What if we need to get to the vets" when I offered a pleasant camping trip by a lake with a few beers, "What if he swallows a twig". We live in a rural-ish area and public transport isn't great. And if I have ever disagreed she has made the point that I'd be choosing to do such a thing would be to essentially endanger the lives of my children or her life because it's irresponsible of me to not have a car or be in a condition to drive the car. For a reason I have never understood my parents and my in-laws have always backed her on this. She will not learn to drive. I have pushed this for 7 years.
I'm have procedure booked an hour from my home that means I won't be able to drive after.....There's nobody here to take me or bring me home. Which has now led to me thinking.......What happens when I'm the subject of a medical emergency....What if I need to be taken to the hospital or the doctors or to a chemist for emergency medication? Ambulance right? Not exactly timely in a rural area. So the short answer is I'll just have to take myself.
Lovely to realise that I am not even on the consideration for needing assistance in an emergency event. It's either a compliment and my family think I'm somehow so competent in life that I'll be able to save myself.....Or on the pecking order of importance to save I'm below the family pet.
I don't like to live in the "Worst case scenario" world all the time. It's just not great to know that those around you who do live in that world don't consider your safety.

I am not saying bad driving doesnāt happen anywhere else but as someone whoās lived and worked in Van, Burnaby, and Coquitlam I donāt think thereās anything quite like commuting from Surrey.
Common themes Iāve noticed:
*Tailing the vehicle in front super close rain or shine
*Not shoulder checking or bothering to signal before switching lanes
*People punching it and cutting others off with barely a car length of space then hammering on the brakes
*Driving 10-20 under in the middle or left lanes
*Taking forever to merge even after you back off and give them the beams/wave
*Purposely speeding up and not letting people merge as opposed to taking your foot off the gas or changing lanes temporarily before the merge
I just donāt bother road raging back or getting mad. Being in one piece matters more to me. Also being angry takes a lot out of you.
