This morning, 09/06/2023, a Music Business Worldwide article came out about how HYBE is currently raising a considerable amount of money with the aim of acquiring companies in Latin America. This news becomes even more interesting when we remember that just over two weeks ago we had the news that HYBE signed a contract with Tencent Music for content distribution in China, thus marking HYBE's entry into the Chinese market.
Bang Si-Hyuk, founder of HYBE HYBE, had already expressed interest in Latin America before, having already said in a recent interview for outdoor how K-pop should bet more on a Latin sound to reach a greater number of listeners, which it even makes me understand the choice of antigragil for the title of Le Sserafim. On the other hand, HYBE had previously expressed its lack of interest in the Chinese market, including how it had no interest in debuting idols from China, but apparently the huge number of album sales that its male groups (Seventeen, TXT, Enhypen ) has won in China in recent years has made them rethink the idea. Which makes you think that not even the biggest K-pop company today can afford to ignore the Chinese market.
I believe that most K-pop fans today are aware of HYBE's rise story, starting with the former Big Hit, a company that came from nowhere but debuted the biggest K-pop group in history. It is clear to anyone that the difference between the HYBE and the Big 3 is enormous, far surpassing the value of all of them together. YG had a good result this year, mainly due to the BLACKPINK tour, but the difference between her and the others is still striking, apart from the fact that she recently had a new drop in the value of her shares after the news of G Dragon's departure from company, which in turn also sells the complete shutdown of Big Bang from YG. In this scenario, I pose the following question: do you believe in the possibility of some of the Big 3 companies being able to compete on an equal footing with HYBE in the near future? Or has HYBE already established itself in control of the South Korean music market and there is no longer any possibility of competition?
And as for other companies: do you believe that JYP will be able to maintain its continued success in business? Would she be the only one capable of competing against HYBE? And SM and YG, is there any chance of recovery for these two companies?

All the lakes are decent sized and connect with big rivers, so handing Saturday chop would be nice, but we'll be out on weekdays a lot.
Wanting something that could be pulled behind a small SUV rated for 1500-2000lbs. Probably could handle a little more and we'd just take back roads nice and slow.
Want something with or capable of having a bimini top.
Speed doesn't matter to us. 20mph would be a fine.
Don't care about skiing or tubes.
We want to explore and stop at marinas.
I like steering wheel vs the handle on the outboard.
Fairly reliable or at least reliable with enough maintenance. (lot of mechanic experience)

I'm 24M. My dad and my step-mom got married when I was 12 and my step-sister was 7. I have a great relationship with both of them, I'm close with both of them, I'm glad that my step-mom makes my dad happy.
The one negative about my step-mom is she will always look to outsource " tough decisions" the " tough conversations" to either myself or my dad. I don't know why, I can't explain it, but, thats what she does. When my step-sister didn't pass her driver's test the first time, she called me and asked me to talk to her. I asked my dad later on, privately, if her mom ever talked to her about the driving thing, he said she hadn't.
The situation is this: My step-sister came home from college having just finished her freshman year, and she came home so much heavier weight-wise to the point where my point where my step-mom called in a damn near panic.
All I kept hearing was, " She's got to be up 50, 60 pounds" " She must've just ate non-stop" " She's so out of shape"
When I told my step-mom that not of this freaking out was going to help, I asked what she wanted me to do. She wanted me to call my step-sister and tell her to buckle down this summer, get on a diet, exercise every day, and get healthy.
I tried explaining to my step-mom that if I say any of that stuff, all my step-sister will hear is, " Hey, the folks think you're really fat, time to throw out the cookies and do some wind sprints". That is what she'll internalize it as
My step-mom didn't grasp what i was getting at and kept going. I cut her off and told her that I was not going to be a part of this and told her not to ever bring this issue up to me again.
She tried flipping into me not caring about my step-sister's health, I said that wasn't true, but that i didn't care for the bullshit, over-the top theatrics that she was pulling.

"Does Food Affect Behavior?
From my personal and objective experiences for 36 years with myself (such as I stated above) and thousands of people since I was made aware of it, my resounding answer is YES. I was first introduced to it by my nutritional tutor in 1971-2. He gave me 2 books and a report to study. The books were titled, Sugar Blues, and Sugar And The Criminal Mind. The report was from a 10-years study conducted by a Canadian university in 1950's to ‘60's. Tests were conducted because schools began having substantial student problems in 1950's. It was suspected that consumption of high rates of processed foods ushered into the public with World War II-canned-food- rationing strategy.
All of the studies accrued and presented substantial proof that processed food and food-additives caused major mental and behavioral problems. They observed that children fed meals made from fresh and untreated foods had good dispositions and good grades. Those that ate processed foods with additives were moody, had difficulty concentrating and very often fair to poor grades. The Canadian report concluded that pesticides, herbicides and additives were the main cause of behavioral and aptitude problems. They found that certain man-made food- colors caused more behavioral problems than other additives. I could not find references to those tests however, do not fret, we have more recent examination of the food-behavioral link that was conducted in Wisconsin beginning in 1997.1 2 3 It was first reported in 2002 in Pure Facts by The Feingold Association to generate public awareness of the potential role of foods and additives in behavior, learning and health problems.

Why hasn't every school in America adopted a better diet for our children? The answer is very clear, if we expect better behavior from our children, we should make certain that they are not polluted with bad food, additives and other chemicals that will disrupt their functionality and behavior. To disregard such truth is travesty to children and society, and living in denial.

So I'm making a game, and I want it to be realistic. Armor is done as damage reduction, weapons gain a significant bonus to damage based on strength or dexterity (or other physical stats in rare instances), and I want a through list of weaponry that is *reasonably* specific (ie I don't want to have extremely obscure weapons that hardly saw use unless there's a good reason, nor do I want every flavor of polearm if they are functionally the same or similar enough that it would be a waste to list them). However, the rule of cool applies; that is to say if it's exceedingly cool I'll add it.
Here's the brief on how my weapons work:

I thought there was no way this was happening to all of these customers but here I am being another one. Over time I’ve noticed the button responding less and less to being pressed. Yesterday it completely went out on me.
I’ve read threads of possible fixes including sticking an object between the charging port and button but to no avail. I’m a daily user but I take good care of my equipment and don’t treat it like trash.
Now I have a bunch of custom glass and MP’s that are useless until it gets serviced. Suffice to say I broke out my old reliable, Mighty+. It might be made of plastic with a plastic MP but it turned on after nearly a year of no use with 4/5 battery life and the simplicity, convenience and peace of mind is way worth it. Not concerned about it not turning on and it came in clutch before a big weekend trip when I wanted to bring the TM2.
The button really does need to be fixed. The constant use of pressing it and the lack of support that connection has to the circuit board will wear over time from heat, repetitive use, and is an obvious engineering weak link to the core functionality of the device. The battery dropping onto that connection also weakens that bond.
Here’s to hoping the company does something about this in future releases, it really is a great product when it works. When it’s fixed via warranty I’ll still have the same concerns when it gets back and won’t be surprised if I stick to the Mighty. Peace of mind is priceless

And then came round 8 Tesla was literally screaming everything unique about humanity,god made humans,and humans made machines, technology,and realized "SCIENCE" ,although yes,Tesla launched on Beelzebub multiple times,but if your goal is to showecase that the uniqueness of Humanity is what will bring forth their win,why did you kill the character that shows this uniqueness the best? I know that from a narrative stand point 3 wins in a row for humanity is too much,but i don't ask you to change the outcome of round 8,i am just saying why the human that must lose so that the story doesn't go full shit mode is Tesla? I believe he should have been kept for a future round where it will be okay for him to win so that he actually does take the W. LV is a weird story that would have been totally unbelievable before the whistleblower. To me though, the family seems genuinely scared which is why the footage is shit. Imagine if you saw that, that’d be fucking terrifying no matter what badass type of shit you tell yourself you’d be ready to do whether it be filming or anything else. And the way the cops were freaked out too really added to it for me. Even if it didn’t happen, the fact that it’s getting the traction it is means that people are beginning to this about this as a real possibility instead of some fringe crazy UFO shit.

I live in BC and we still have quite a bit of snow in the mountains so I’m looking to get some snowshoes. Suppliers near me seem to have Atlas on sale and I’m trying to decide which model to get. Considering that the terrain is pretty steep and mountainous I’m figuring “trail walking” shoes won’t cut it, which leaves their “All Mountain” and “Backcountry” categories. Unfortunately they don’t really describe what the difference is between those categories. Reports say that snow is still about 1-2m deep and occasionally pretty crunchy.
I weigh about 200lbs right now, so with a pack it seems like I’d want a 30” shoe. A store near me has their Treeline 30 shoe in stock, which is “All Mountain”, or I could order in their Montane 30 “Backcountry” model.
Any idea what these categories mean, and which model would be better for my purposes?

As I blinked, the Ashborne went barreling past me crashing into the warg. It started viciously tearing into it and EATING it. I would have puked right then and there if not for the immediate danger in front of me. I had quickly realized that this was not a battle I could have possibly won with strength. I took my time to formulate my plan while Ashborne was busy devouring the warg. Plus, I didn't want to disturb the Ashborne's eating lest it get angrier at me.

A few minutes after, just as the Ashborne cleaned the meat out of the skeleton, I slowly spoke, "William Ashborne!". It was a gamble really. The legends speak of a prodigous monster hunter named William Ashborne who set out on a strange quest of tasting the flesh of every one of the 199 monsters. Of course there are a lot more monsters than 200, But apparently at his time, there were only 199 monsters. If you believe the legends, that is. But anyway, according to those stories, he slowly became more feral, mad, short-tempered and stronger with each of the monster he ate. And, this is where it gets really disturbing, Just after he ate the remains of the 199th monster, he became so mad that he hallucinated a dog to be a monster. Some even say that he may have thought this to be the 200th monster. But whatever was on his mind, all stories agree on this - he devoured the dog and ate it too. But it was no ordinary dog. It was the pet of a god, who became enraged and cursed that he complete the transformation into the monster he was becoming and to roam the lands in endless hunger, devouring anything he sees. And this is where the story gets really muddy. There are many versions to how the god reduced the curse so that the entire world didn't end. But what my grandfather used to tell was that, whoever uses the true name of the person Ashborne used to be, will be able to calm it and send it to slumber for half a millennium. And Indeed there were some who claimed to have seen this creature and used it to defeat the beast. But either they were lying, or the legend was wrong. But more than likely, they were both wrong.

As I soon found out, the beast didn't fall asleep. It instead turned sharply looking at me, looking with almost intelligent eyes. It emitted a guttural sound, that was strangely not fear inducing. It signaled to the crossbow in my hands and signaled at its throat. It rapidly started signing with its - no his hands. My eyes started watering as I understood it him. He was signing in the sign language of the hunters guild. Some signs were confusing, likely changed meanings due to the passage of time. But I understood the crux of what he meant. He is cursed to devour every creature he sees in a mindless rage. But after each devouring, his sense will return for a short period of time. But it was not meant to be a respite. It was a time of torture as he witnessed all the carnage he had caused. And he was cursed to not be able to harm himself too. And the only way to kill him is with a weapon soaked in the blood of his latest victim. I looked into his pained pleading eyes. Oh, how had he suffered for this long. With heavy heart, I raised my bow and notched an arrow. I smeared the last remains of the wolf on the tip of the arrow and took aim.

This is a horror story that used to circulate around my school. It frightened the shit out of me when I was about 8 years old and was the reason I always had an acute fear of being home alone. I don’t remember who told me it and there is no evidence of it online apart from one story with the similar theme of these shapes. One thing I love about stories is how they morph from person to person overtime and change so it’s possible that that story was the root of this one. I would be interested if anyone’s ever heard of it before and if not it’s a great one to tell around a campfire with kids. Especially if you sing the main catchphrase in a slow nursery rhyme tune to make it creepy. The repetition and simplicity sticks with people. Here it is:
A mother lives alone with her three young children. It was the evening and the mother realises that there is no milk in the fridge and decides she will go to the local shop to buy some. She checks on the kids and they’re all in the living room watching TV so she leaves telling the kids she will be right back. As she walks to the shop a weird sensation comes over her and she hears a faint voice singing behind her 🎶 circles squares and triangles, have you checked your children 🎶 the mother turns around but there’s no one there. She decides she better check the kids and walks back to the house. They are all still sitting in the living room now playing video games. She leaves again this time she nearly gets to the shop before she hears the same voice from before only louder this time 🎶 circles squares and triangles, have you checked your children 🎶. She paces home once again only to find the kids have put themselves to bed. Relieved and embarrassed by her paranoia the mother leaves the house making sure to lock the door as she goes. She makes it to the shop and is about to pick up the milk when she hears the voice again. This time much closer almost talking right into her ear. 🎶 circles squares and triangles, have you checked your children 🎶 she sprints back to the house unlocking the door and racing from room to room. No sign of the kids in the bedroom, living room, kitchen. There was one room left and as she opened the door to the bathroom she had a feeling they where in there. She peered into the bath and there they where her three children. All that was left was a piece of their torsos. Each cut into their own shape. Circle’s squares and triangles.

This story may have scared me so much as a child but I believe it’s stories like this that have led to my fascination with all things horror. I'm using an RTX 4090 setup on a test bench for 5 months. These cards are chonky and I've rebuilt my PC at least 4 times since I move monthly.

1st Photo was taken coincidentally from 1-2 weeks ago, the other 3 photos was yesterday with the capacitor already knocked off. There's a superficial crack near the PCIe lock and one of the PCIe lanes. Don't know when I got the crack but I assume it's during one of the disassembly.
I've checked via GPU-Z and HWinfo and it looks like I'm stuck at using PCIe 4.0 at x8. BIOS set to auto. I'm not sure if I damaged the GPU or there's other areas I need to troubleshoot. Not an issue to me performance wise.
I'm more concerned about the crack (?). Will this grow larger a few months from now or possible cause for RMA denial even for a separate issue?
Also side note, is it worth identify and microsoldering the capacitor? I've already lost the other one. I've measured it to be 1.2mm x 0.7mm (don't have a higher accuracy one) with a caliper. I assume I'll have to test further to identify it?

My sleep is usually crap, I can’t sleep more than a few hours and wake up frequently and can’t get deep sleep. Well the night of my sleep study (last night) I ended up sleeping more and deeper. I still woke up in a fog (I always have it) but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the nights I’m unable to sleep. I’m honestly disappointed because now I’m afraid I’ll get a false negative and that the results won’t be accurate and reflective of my usual messed up sleep.
