This is something that has been on my mind for a few years now. I'm still having a hard time processing this and I feel emotionally torn. This is pretty long but bare with me, TLDR at the bottom.
For context, I moved before entering my freshman year of highschool so I was pretty much the new kid in town. I didn't really know anyone but one person, who on the first day introduced me to a small group of people who had common interests with me. There I met my friend, who I shall call E. E was very short and skinny, pretty one of the tiniest people in school. We talked and hung out a lot, and at some point I trusted her enough to try marijuana with her.
Around the beginning of our friendship I had developed a small crush on E as I found her attractive, as around this time I was still discovering myself and my sexuality as I realized I was attracted to women in middle school. Being that E was a woman and Bi, I felt I had a chance with her, however I made my advances when she was taken by a guy I'll call T for simplicity. I had always thought T was an asshole and I felt that I could treat E better as a partner, to which I got my hopes up believing she would be able to see that. Because this is important later, I'd like to note that T is much older and bigger, pretty much the stereotypical senior that preys on freshman girls. From what I've heard T was quite abusive, cheated a lot and sometimes their sex was nonconsensual.
Eventually after dropping hints that I was into E and even went as far to ask for a kiss and got rejected, I stopped my advances on E and my infatuation died. As time went on though we grew closer and were very comfortable around each other; we have showered together on extremely rare occasions but it was never weird or awkward. At some point I had come out as trans and E was one of my main supporters.
Fast forward to my junior year of highschool, I started dating a guy who I shall call X. X knew me before I was trans and despite this he sometimes showed disgust when I talked about transitioning. E picked up on this and grew to dislike X and would tell me in private, which essentially put doubts in my mind about X's and I's relationship. To add to this, X was okay with marijuana, but he hated alcohol due to some of his family being alcoholics and one of them being hospitalized due to an accident that happened while they were under the influence. The time I drank with E at a party, X didn't want to kiss me or be around me as I reeked of alcohol and eventually left early.
Well, one day I planned to spend the night at E's house and drink alcohol with her. I told X my plans which eventually broke out into an argument. I forget what was said, but he was against me drinking, though reluctantly decided to come over later on after we had drank.
So I arrive at E's house with the alcohol and get myself comfy in the small fort that was built in the corner of the living room. While I'm getting comfy I ask E to make a small drink of alcohol as I had a low tolerance and I wasn't a fan of the burn of alcohol. When E comes back she had two tall glasses, which intimidated me. Turns out she took all the alcohol I had brought and split between the two of us and filled the rest with juice to make a strong spiked drink. As we're drinking and getting a buzz, I try to take my time with my drink fighting through the burn as we occupied ourselves with TV or while she was on facetime, but overtime she would say things that felt like she was rushing me, something along the lines of "If you're not going to finish that, I will" and essentially call me a pussy. Me being a teenager wanting my equal portion and feeling the need to prove her wrong, I caved into peer pressure eventually finished my drink.
Here is where I hold my conflicting thoughts and feelings. At some point in the fort, E and I were very intoxicated, though I wasn't blacked out as I still remember most of what happened. E starts to cuddle up to me as I'm on my back doing something on my phone; I don't remember what, but I believe I was texting X who was on their way over. This wasn't unusual to me and being I am a lovey-dovey drunk, I didn't mind this. It progressed to E getting handsy and groping/kneading my stomach and hips which made me feel funny. I remember getting this weird feeling of nostalgia in this moment, almost like a trance as if I was brought back to when I was first attracted to E. Before E went any further she asked if it was okay to continue, and I said yes as I was influenced by these old but confusing feelings. Eventually E went into my pants, and that's when I came back to reality. This wasn't what I wanted, but I felt that I was too far into it to tell her to stop, that I didn't want to do it anymore. I couldn't tell her no. So, I faked an orgasm and that's when things ended. Once it was over, E told me to not tell X, and we continued on with our night like nothing happened. Afterwards I checked my texts to find that X sent a message saying he waiting for us to let him in, but being that neither one of us answered and he waited for a while before going home.
After the incident with E, I felt dirty. At the time it felt like I had cheated on X, so the next day I confronted him and told him what happened. When I first initially told X I worded it as that I had cheated, which led to us breaking up and going no contact for a week. However this time apart gave me more time to process what happened, and at some point I reached out to X to explain myself and give the whole story. This is when X told me that I was raped, and after some discussion and my own personal internet searches I realized he was right. Aside from X being the first person I talked to this about, I confided in my mother as I trusted her. She asked if I wanted to get police involved, but being that we were underage drinking and I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, I declined. I later blocked E on most social media.
However, I later discovered that X was spreading word around town that E assaulted me, which led E to take to social media to defend herself. She explained what happened, how it was unfair to her because she didn't remember anything on that night, and how it was impossible for her to have raped me as I was much bigger than her, and it "wasn't rape". I never responded to this, but she lost a lot of friends over that post.
A few months later I was talking to my friend L, who is a mutual friend of mine and E. I told her a little about what happened with E, and L said that she was with E at that time. That's when I decided to confront E about what happened and all 3 of us met at a park. Before I could begin to voice my thoughts and feelings about what happened, E broke down into tears and practically steamrolled me with hers. She went on to say that she lost a majority of her friends, received death threats and even received razor blades and bleach in the mail. I was never able to tell her my side of things as she was hysterically crying, quite literally on her knees, instead I couldn't help but feel sorry for her and forced myself into forgiving her, but it never felt genuine.
To this day I don't feel like I have closure to what happened, and because of it I feel that I have a strained friendship with her. The one time E had brought up this event was when her, L and I were hanging out and said that 'we fucked.' We don't talk or hang out as much anymore as we have our own lives, but because Ive known E for so long and how much support she gives me I feel guilty for cutting ties with her as I have tried in the past.
Should I stay friends with her or cut her out of my life for good?
TLDR; My friend since high school who I use to crush on peer pressured me into drinking and assaulted me when we were both drunk. When I confronted her about it she made it all about her and I forgive her when I really didnt.

We rent an apartment in PA, and were notified last week that the landlord would be coming for a general inspection. No big deal at all... we keep our place fairly well kept. We did a little organizing and we're good.
I work night shift. So I sleep during the day. I stayed up for as long as I could waiting for her so she could check our bedroom if needed, but eventually caved and went to bed as I still had to work that night. My wife works from home during the day so she was there waiting, and would wake me if they needed in our bedroom.
But the entire day went by and the landlord never arrived... until 9:30pm. Easily within the time that alot of tenants are getting ready or are already in bed. I was getting ready for work.
Is there some general time frame where it's then considered unacceptable for a landlord to come over for these things, even with a notice? The notice had no time listed on the letter.
We like our apartment, and the landlord is generally a very nice woman, but everyone in the building was texting each other all day wondering when this inspection was going to happen... only to have her rolling up around 10 at night. That seems a bit rude and insensitive to the tenants.

Around 3:40AM today I got a call from a random number and a request to join a FaceTime call multiple times. I have a bad habit of not saving numbers, and have a bunch of old coworkers who’s numbers I have in my text messages but not in my phone technically. So I pick up, there’s no noise on the other line until I hear a guys voice. I say “Hello?” a few times and make a comment about how late it is, and he says he was just trying to call a friend. My friends tend to prank call me a lot so I start laughing and say “Like 4 times?”. He then goes “You sound like a dyke. Lmao your name is and you live in a dirty ass apartment. you’re ghetto!” I call him weird and hang up, he ends up texting me “Nice bedroom.”
Not sure if this is a dangerous situation, definitely uncomfortable. But I’m nervous I might be over reacting despite how scared I am. What should I do?

Warning!!!Long post ahead. So last year i(29M) started working on my startup around april. During that time i managed to gather a 11person team. Then i needed a content writer. So one of my co-founder reffered a girl(22F) whom he friends with. I hired her and started working with her through phone call on a daily basis. At first i was hasitant to talk anything beside the work but after some time when she started to open up about her past and her family so i thought she is being friendly and started to talk about personal stuff also. So a friendship began during that time i was dating my ex and she was also dating someone. So around july she broke up with that guy whom she was dating.
Then our conversations through phone increased apart from work hours. During that time i used to do parties in my home she is always seems so excited to come to my house. She used to be super flirty, i have to hold back. (Its not that i am shy bcz my body count is in double digits) warned her many times that don't wanna talk but she's always like a chatterbox. So around october one day she was behaving like a child constantly trying to annoy me for 2/3 days. So i asked my cofounder to talk to her so which she said to him that she was taking a revange on me because acc. to her i was trying to be bossy and doesn't respect her. I was super annoyed that day so by evening she was trying to annoy me more it was like she was waiting from a reaction from my end, she was calling me every 15-30 mins to rescedule the time for work happend atleast 6/7 times that evening. I waited till 11.30 that night then called and lashed out at her.( i know super fu○king wrong, have no right to lashed out on someone). On the very next day called her appologised her for my behaviour and told her my situation that, why i lost my controll. And my breakup with my ex and the problems with investors. That night for the very first time i felt something about her. The way she was trying to giving me the solutions and courage. I was just awwstrucked.
So started developing feelings. But deep down felt wrong because didn't want her to be a rebound. Then after 15/20 days when we met again in my house party something triggered in us both we had our first touch that day spent the entire evening in the kitchen. I was cooking and she was helping me with dishes. Felt i found the one that day. Then our bond gets stronger after that started talking more and more after work like 4/5 hours everyday. Then the day in november came when unknowingly i spilled her that i like her (never had any intention to say that) i know things were going to get fucked up from this point on because it was too early. Now she started distanceing her self. For 10 or 15 days i was quite at that time but after that she initiated contact and told me indirectly that she like me too. I didn't reacted that day. Acted like i didn't get what she was trying to say. After couple of days we had a fight because of the co-founder whom she was reffered by bcz he was always trying to slut shame her to me. And i told her the things he told me about her which she got furious that how i didn't take any stand for her or fight for her. Which i reassured her that i trust her and i don't believe what he was saying. So why wasting any energy trying to fight a person of that kind. We fought for 5hours that day ended up owning up my mistake that i let her down.
Again for 15 days no talk. And stared talking around mid december. Around that time she said that she is emotionally unavailable right now. So she doesn't want to start anything. Which i said okay. Knew she need peace and her time to sort out the things. And the problem started from there when she was trying to test me by trying to tell me about her guy friends. (Those guy friends with whom my cofounder try to associate her name with.) I try to stay calm but my evil brain trying to act extra smart and poked her by confessing again, just to tease. She got furious that day. Haven't thought about the outcome. So took it as a rejection just to move on. After 7/8 days she told me that she likes me back. Haven't reacted on that just drift that conversation to some other topic. Now it's been 3.5 month after that incident she isn't talking to me properly gave her enough way out saying if you feel any uncomfort you can leave, and she denies everytime. But her action speaks otherwise. Now my work from her side reduced to 24days a months to 6/7 days a month. Now she is getting irritated on small things and cut off contact for 4/5days. I don't want to fire her now because it will leave a bad impression on me. My co-workers can think i fire her because of the rejection. Which is not true.
Now my dilemma is, A- i want her to leave on her own. B- Not contacting her from my end but she always manage to initiate contact and dissapear after that. C- cant say anything to her to set boundries because everytime i want to she takes it in a wrong way and gets irritated. D- Now the final nail in the coffin i think i love her now. But don't want her anywhere near me.
TL;DR : girl i am working with being flaky. Affecting my work. Can't fire her because don't want to be a jerk who can't handle rejection.

I need to see my mother it two days to talk about a possible transfer of our family home to us that she just inherited and that can't afford to take care of herself.
I've been no contact with her for the last two years and it has been the best thing ever for my mental health. My grandfather passed away recently and she inherited his house and land where I also lived during my childhood. It's a nice, large house in a beautiful location. I really miss it, since I've been NC with my mother, I've only been there twice. She can't take care of the house herself, my husband is very handy and has dreamed about owning a house his whole life and we have a baby on the way, so moving from a small city apartment to a house would be perfect.
The house is too big and the upkeep is too expensive to her, but me and my husband could manage just fine. She wrote and asked me to visit so we can talk about what to do with the house. She knows that living together is out of the question so I'm curious as to what she has in mind.
The thing is - I thought I was doing so well, but even the thought of visiting just for this single conversation is making me feel so aweful, I haven't felt such anxiety in years. How the hell do I deal with this? I hate being this anxious and I know that I won't be able to speak my mind in this conversation - one of my defence mechanisms is shutting down. She raise me Ina way that I have trouble speaking un for myself, I could never have an opinion on my own. But I also know I need to have this conversation and get it over with - this would be the last time I'm contacting her, regardless of what the outcome of the conversation would be.
Also, I'm pregnant and even though I've been very chill this whole pregnancy, I can feel that my emotions are very heightened about this and I hate putting my baby through this stress, but I know that I need to get this over with

I kinda need a bit of help with something: In our relationship for a long time we visited each other 50/50 or maybe one person did a little bit more but that's alright. But due to the nature of our work when one person works that person can't be away. Last summer I spend 2 months in my boyfriends country because of that, one month was vacation and having covid, for one month he worked. It's always been a bit tough because I don't speak the language yet and don't have any social contacts so usually I try to entertain myself when he is away, work a bit and write some music- which is a lot of fun and I figured out how to do that for weeks without getting bored. Now comes my issue though: I just graduated university and my work starts in 2 weeks before that I had 3 months of. He had a very intense rehearsal period for two months, then the premiere and 3 days later the next rehearsal period started. He sure is going through a lot, it was a very difficult period for him and I tried to be there as much as I could.But yeah,, it really strained our relationship and I am exhausted. I did too much and didn't take care of myself enough which 100% is on me- I sadly noticed it too late. I kinda hoped that after that period things would change and there would be a bigger focus on us again and also on me, my life and my struggles I'm going through (work change, family stuff etc). It didn't and he is very exhausted from work. Now we had a relationship crisis mode, how he calls it, for 2 weeks where suddenly he wanted to open the relationship, had a crush on one of his actresses and things like that. We talked a lot, realized that he didn't say when he had an issue for a long time, didn't trust me in understanding it(that comes from his family dynamics, they don't talk about things because there is no understanding for problems) I prefer when he tells me instead of eating things up for weeks and then exploding like it happened now. Like I said, 2 week crisis mode, we talked a lot, solved a lot, reconnected, saw a couples therapist for the first time which I asked for for nearly half a year now and that was good!
So long story short: a lot of stressors in our life and he is in his final rehearsal period, one week is left. But because I was on my own in a place where I don't have a life apart from him ( I went out for a many coffees but every day seemed a bit much) I feel very lonely and yesterday when he had a long rehearsal, 1 hour commute to his work and football in the evening (a bit over 1 hour commute) I really longed for talking to him, also about my life. He was gone for about 10hours, maybe a bit more and when he came back it was close to midnight and I was already asleep but woke up. I know it's not fair to feel lonely but I wanted to ask if someone has tips on how to cope with this. Yesterday night I was a bit grumpy towards him but said that it wasn't on him but because of my own struggles and this morning he was very distant, when I asked about the plan for the day he said he doesn't know and doesn't want to spend time with me today.
i know that this is 100% on me because he also told me that I could just leave if I didn't feel like being here and am not okay with the amount of time we spend together. And outside of his rehearsals we spend a lot of time together the last two weeks- even though it was to solve this crisis thingy and reconnect- but yeah, it was a very draining period and I understand that for him it is so much worse because he works so much AND has me sitting at home who also wants to spend time consiously each day.

very upset about this. in the past few years i adored being in such a loving store environment where i get to work with pride flags and cute decorations. i live in a conservative town so getting to create heart flags for each orientation made me feel so welcomed compared to my home (i’m bi). last year in july one guy complained how we still had the pride flag up. he was angry that we didn’t have an american flag either. not only did we have to take down the flag then, but now we can’t decorate at all. our district manager said this and apparently since we can’t decorate in any way that has the risk of putting partners in harms way.
as if taking down the pride decorations takes away the risk and danger of being apart of the lgbtq, or poc, or women, or any other minority. not even to mention, that one complaint was since the flag was up AFTER pride. but now we can’t do it at all??
it makes me feel awful, work felt like the one place i could be open. and it’s stupid that the company as a whole supports pride but our store can’t. if we apply the same idea, our logo is a threat to us, the company that supports pride is the same thing as a pride flag. i want to know if there is something/someone i could talk to about this :(

im a college student who lives away from home during the school year. i just finished my second year, and i guess i've gotten too comfortable living without my parents to keep me in check.
i wasn't "functional" at my apartment by any means: it was always a disaster, piles and piles of laundry and dishes, etc. but it didn't bother me for the most part! i mean obviously when it got to an unlivable point i would have to buckle down and get it over with, but that's really the only thing that gives me motivation.
now that i'm home, my parents expect me to be very consistent with such things, and remind me of them. multiple. times. a day. like genuinely an ungodly amount of reminders. and it's like every time they ask me it just makes me more and more frustrated, annoyed, and anxious about the task. the paralysis is just unimaginable.
and then on top of that, i don't necessarily respect my parents for a variety of reasons. so when they repeat the same things over and over and over again, it's so hard for me not to just blow up on them and even not complete the task out of subconscious spite. it's like, i'll get it done eventually, and the more you ask me to do it, the more i want to avoid it!!!! i've felt like this forever and i've communicated it since i was a child, but they always say that's just ridiculous and that i'm making excuses.
i want to just be in control of my chore schedule and create my own to-do lists, but i have such a hard time motivating myself to get things done. part of me thinks it'll be easier if they just stop asking and i take my own accountability, but at the same time, i know there's a relatively high chance of me just blowing it all off or having generally different expectations of myself than they have of me. then again, i haven't had the opportunity to prove myself without them constantly nagging me.

I've always had this odd series of recurring dreams about totally random things, where only the location would be truly "recurring" - my home city, but very clean, with very few people and with infinite locations. Like, you could enter a park or a cemetery and you could explore them endlessly unless you used the entrance as your way out. I've dreamt so many times there that I've had more than enough opportunities to venture into all directions of that world already. I know that in the South, there's an endless road to nowhere and grain fields surrounding it, in the East - an endless forest, in the North the city itself is endless, like a labyrinth
Anyway, to the point. Like four years ago, I've had yet another dream there and it would’ve been the last one, too. This time it focused on my grandma's place and her cozy apartment in an old tenement. My parents used to leave me and my sister there with grandparents, if our big brother was at school or couldn't take care of us for any other reason
In my dream, I landed in my grandma's house in media res, with three of my childhood friends and my cousin. It made little to no sense, because my cousin never knew my friends and neither him, nor my friends, ever been at my grandma's house
An important thing to note about that apartment - across the street, roughly on the same level as grandma's apartment, there have always been this one odd flat with fully blackened windows. It was always there - in the meaning that it wasn't a thing specific for this particular dream; I was aware and wary of its existence before, but before it used to be like a side character and no dream centered around it
I can't really tell much about this flat other than the fact that even thinking about it in a dream brought fear and the need to escape, to me and all the "characters." Btw. the real life view on these windows from my grandparent’s flat is totally normal - some couple lives there that my grandma never even spoke to
In this dream, me and my friends + cousin had only one objective - to enter this dark flat. No other reasoning was given
It turned out to not be as easy as one could think, because after entering the tenement it turned out to be infinite as well, so we were getting lost and frustrated a lot
Not much was happening from there, really. Only when we finally found the door, we felt an immediate fear. We pried the doors open and entered. From the inside, the flat was empty but normal. The windows were not blackened anymore, you could also see grandma's apartment on the other side normally. There was no one or nothing inside that would indicate anything scary or malicious.
We left and on the street, out of nowhere, there was like a lot of police cars and some random people staring. But most importantly - a mother of one of the friends who was screaming that her son is still there, begging the police to search for him and cursing us for getting him lost
And that's pretty much it, that's when I woke up, not even sweaty or in panic but just mentally tired and anxious. And I quickly forgot about that dream
But like two weeks later, a friend of mine called and had some tragic news to share - our mutual friend, the one who got lost in a dream, has passed away. On the way to work he stopped his car on the side of the road and suffered a heart failure
I immediately remembered the dream I've had and I'm like 80% sure it happened on the same day. My friend died on Monday morning and I woke up from the dream also around 8 am. My only doubt comes from the fact that at the time, I've been in college and I've had free Mondays, so theoretically I could get it mixed up with Sunday
I rarely share this story, because my childhood friends really didn't like hearing about it but yeah. To this day I'm bothered by the thought that this dream and us entering that dark flat somehow resulted in his death. The potential timing seems just too tight. And somehow, in the way his mother blamed it on us in a dream, sticked with me and I can’t really consider this dream as a form of "warning" or "omen".
