2023.06.02 11:04 prince3101 Drunk ATEEZ are just a bunch of loud, affectionate and tired men

ATEEZ is lowkey really bad at drinking. Which is what makes their three part drinking series even funnier. ATEEZ is just not who you go to if you want to have a sombre drink.
San looked ready to pass out I think within 3-4 shots and each episode he just got worse. I honestly think he knocked out for a bit. Him sitting on the floor offering chocolate milk to the members is oddly endearing as his tendency to just start singing (that's only one song, I think he breaks out singing like 4-5 times). The highlight being him straight up falling off his chair.
Seonghwa is so not a drinker but he desperately wants to be included and I think the members humoured him. I think he hit a low point with having to drink but then rapidly increased in energy at some point. Got to relate to him bouncing along only when others were starting to wind down. He definitely seems like the overly affectionate kind of demanding attention/sulky kind of drunk, harmless but a lot of fun to watch.
I'm glad the editors just left the whole last section for Hongjoong to detail his drunk activities. From lying across two different seats to trying to climb into a seat and then trying to balance his chocolate milk on his head. He clearly had a good time.
The other members were also hilarious but these three seemed to be the most overtly drunk (kind of ironic that it's the intimidating demon line who seem to have low alcohol limits). Wooyoung does end up biting Seonghwa (he does that sober anyways), Yeosang (and San) either swore or said non-broadcast appropriate words followed by Mingi terrifying Yeosang in the Ya game. Yeosang honestly seemed to be holding the whole group together at some point.
The whole three part series of episodes are honestly such a blast to watch and remind me of the more relaxed feeling that variety shows used to have. It's a great form of stress relief that I'd highly recommend!

2023.06.02 10:55 Dapper_Cartoonist30 How Do You Land A Job While Dealing With Major Depression / Anxiety / Low Motivation?

I’m on the verge of losing it all, and I have nowhere to turn.
Some (long, but) necessary background:
I (M24) have been unemployed and unable to find work since I graduated university in May 2021 with a BA in Public Relations.
I went to a top 20 public university, but never utilized any of the career center’s guidance or academic advisory help - for most of college I was majorly depressed and didn’t leave my room unless it was to go to the gym or go out drinking with friends (I also skipped class to sleep / nap often).
I moved back home with my parents after college where I suffered from even worse anxiety and depression.
I barely left my room, my parents would berate me for not landing any jobs, all my friends had moved away, and to top it all off, I witnessed my older brother (27, still living at home) exhibit major psychosis after dealing with bipolar and schizophrenia for years.
He was having episode after episode, and more often than not they were violent, loud, and physical.
I was job searching while dealing with this in the household, occasionally having to call the cops when he became too violent, often saying he would k*ll my parents.
This was a very traumatic few months for me, being ‘trapped’ in the house with my brother, getting denied from job after job, and dealing with my very unsupportive parents who wouldn't listen to how I was being affected.
Within that year, I had a serving job for only month before quitting, I had a one-month unpaid internship, and I worked minimum wage at a gym for 1.5 months.
That was it.
In September 2022, after a year of job searching, I moved across the country with my bf. I still had no money, but he was super supportive and was willing to float me a couple months rent - I had high hopes that the job market in San Diego would be better than it was in New Jersey.
I figured a huge change would be good for me.
It’s now June 2023 - in a span of eight months, after applying and interviewing day after day, I only landed a part-time remote tutoring role (that's now done for the summer).
I’m applying every day to full-time positions in PR, marketing, communications, every writing-related, creative-related, and advertising-related field you can think of.
Since graduation, we're talking over 1000+ applications.
I've utilized LinkedIn, Indeed, my personal network, and my university's career portal. No luck.
I get denied from every part-time position as well: serving, bar backing, hosting, retail, working at Trader Joe’s, etc. - some after interviewing, and some not.
I have no money and going back to living with my parents and brother in NJ isn’t an option.
My bf has sat me down recently and discussed how he can’t fully support me for much longer, and that I’ll need a salary if I want our relationship to continue.
So, currently on the line: A place to live, food to eat, my sanity, and my relationship.
I struggle with major depression and anxiety that affects my energy-levels, I always feel like sleeping -no amount of coffee, ADHD medicine, or exercise solves the tiredness.
I’m on Wellbutrin (have tried Zoloft and Viibryd), I go to therapy, I go to the gym 5x a week, and I eat healthy, yet I still have no energy, low self-esteem, and such crippling anxiety that walking into a place to ask for a job makes me so dizzy and nervous.
Even though my back is up against the wall to get a job ASAP, my motivation and hope for the future is at an all-time-low.
What do I do? How do I get a job? How can I develop the motivation I need to pull myself out of drowning?

2023.06.02 10:37 penismilkers i took cbd oil orally (500 mg) through a dropper and had an energy drink at the same time (200 mg)

im 4'3" ft tall and weigh 109 pounds, i decided to do a little experiment on myself by drinking an alani-nu brand energy drink which is 200 mg of caffeine and took cbn oil through a dropper which is 500 mg of cbn
i read through several articles verifying that doing this will even things out, the side effects of caffeine will make you jittery and anxious while cbn is supposed to help you relax and fall asleep, the experiment was supposed to keep me calm but alert
well that was a bad idea, i had a full-blown anxiety attack and felt like i was tripping like i was on thc , my mind was racing and heart were racing fast, i even threw up so my question is what happened? why did my body react like that?

2023.06.02 09:54 autobuzzfeedbot "She Was So Rude, My Family Is No Longer Allowed To Listen To Her Music": 34 Of The Absolute Best And Worst Celebrities People Have Ever Met

  1. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I’ve met Harry Styles several times, and he is so nice and considerate. He actually put off going out with his team just to sit and talk to my 15-year-old daughter and me. I’m sure he was exhausted, but he seemed to enjoy relaxing and chatting with us. My daughter will most likely live on that memory for years to come!"
  2. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Jennifer Aniston is a sweetheart. She seemed very genuine and kind. I met her in a restaurant bathroom of all places. We talked for so long, her friend had to come and find her."
  3. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Lorne Michaels when I worked at a 5-star restaurant. Everyone who worked with me knew I’d been a fan of SNL since I came out of the womb, so when I picked up the phone to make the reservation and spoke with his assistant, I told them I was Lorne's biggest fan. When he arrived with his wife and son (who went to a local boarding school), they were so kind, and he said, 'Oh, I heard you’re my biggest fan, and that’s amazing because I don’t have fans — the cast always has fans!' I almost died. I gave them my favorite table, which they were thrilled with, and when he got up to leave, he left me an envelope with a pretty sweet bonus tip inside. I wasn’t usually tipped doing my work, so it wasn’t necessary, but it was so thoughtful and appreciated. All three were true gems. You’d never know he was famous or rich at all."
  4. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "I met Roseanne Barr for work once. I went to shake her hand, and she looked me up and down and said, 'I don't shake hands,' then walked away."
  5. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Matthew Gray Gubler after he did a talk years ago at my college! Only the first 100 people who got tickets were supposed to be able to do a meet and greet. He said 'rules were made to be broken' and that he would stay and meet with everyone until they kicked him out. Not only was he incredibly sweet to me (literally introduced himself...so humble and posed for a goofy pic), but he seemed so genuinely kind to everyone there. Just amazing energy all around."
  6. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "A friend and I visited my boyfriend while he was doing security at a jazz festival in Malibu. He told us Adam Sandler and his family had been there all day and tons of people took pictures with him. We ran back to the car to grab the digital camera, looked up, and saw Adam, his pregnant wife Jackie, and their toddler leaving. We went up to them. Adam was clearly done for the day, but his wife said, 'Honey, let me hold [toddler's name] and you can take a picture.' We handed him the camera and he took a selfie with us. Still have that picture on my fridge. Love the Sandman!"
  7. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "My little cousin played one of Rob Schneider's kids in 50 First Dates. Rob was stuck-up, never got to know the children or their parents, and always went straight to his dressing room. I'm an introvert, so I like my alone time to recharge, but apparently the vibes he was giving off were that he couldn't be bothered to care about anyone else there. Also, the little girl in the movie was apparently a spoiled brat who threw tantrums and made them have to redo so many takes. I can see why Rob maybe didn't want to play with her, but the other kids were great!"
  8. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "My husband met Rihanna years ago and said she was super nice. He was working as a ground handler at an airport and was setting up something on the ramp for her private plane. She came out, approached him, asked him about his job, and they chatted for a few minutes. Not sure if she was killing time until the gate opened, or if she went out of her way to talk to him for the heck of it, but he had nothing but nice things to say about her."
  9. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Jerry Springer while bartending almost 20 years ago. He was thinking of getting back into politics and had a meeting in our private dining room on the second floor. It was happy hour and the bar was packed. Someone spotted him and started chanting, 'JERRY, JERRY,' while he was about to walk up the stairs. He then came to the bar, ordered a $2 beer, walked through the entire bar, shook hands, and took pictures. When he finished the loop, he set the full beer on the bar and handed me $40. Regardless of his show, I will always think of him as a class act."
  10. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "My story is that I was actually horrible to a celebrity. In the '70s, I was obsessed with Donny and Marie. They were playing at our state fair that year. My dad tried to get tickets, but it was sold out. He took us to the fair anyway. A few times we could hear the music, which infuriated me at 7 years old. When we were leaving, my dad had to stop the car because there was a big crowd of people. As they cleared to let us through, two people popped their heads in the car window to apologize. It was Donny and Marie. I refused to believe it was really them, and I told Marie, 'You're not Marie. She's a lot prettier than you.' My family was horrified."
  11. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Hands down nicest celebrity I've ever met was Taylor Swift. I met her at a concert as part of her security at the Houston shows. She was polite and introduced herself to everyone. She was obviously very busy, but she seemed interested in what I had to say and signed an album cover for my son."
  12. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I have been lucky enough to meet Sir Ian McKellen twice: once after a performance where I also met Simon Callow and Patrick Stewart, and once during his tour of 80 shows for turning 80. Absolutely lovely man. He is my #1 dream dinner guest. I wish I was his friend."
  13. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I did a photo-op last year at my local con with Ewan McGregor and, even though it was so quick, he was super sweet. We shook hands, and he asked how my day was. He’s gorgeous in person!"
  14. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Matthew Lewis at a local con at his booth and he was lovely (and gorgeous in person). I told him how jealous my Harry Potter-obsessed sister (who was working that day) was going to be, and he told me to tell her he sent his regards! It totally made her day at work when I texted her about it after!"
  15. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Pink around 2000. She performed at a teen club I was at, and she was a sweetheart. After her performance, she even danced with us for a little bit."
  16. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "I’ve heard nothing but bad things from people who've met Bill Nye. One friend said he was at some children’s art show and made fun of the artwork in front of the youngsters. What a jerk."
  17. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "When I was in college in Boston, I was making a late-night Taco Bell run. As I was walking in, this white limo pulled up in front. I went inside and placed my order, and a guy in a white jumpsuit with a white bandana tied around his head came in. There weren't that many people in the restaurant, but he stopped and signed autographs and was chatting everyone up when I left. It wasn't until a few years later that I realized that person was Steven Tyler. This was in the late '80s before Aerosmith had that string of hits."
  18. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "The most genuine interaction I've ever had with a celeb was with Bert Kreischer. I saw a show (during which he mentioned his grandma was in the hospital). Then, he told the audience he would be going to the bar next door after the show if anyone wanted a picture. When he arrived at the bar, he waded through CROWDS of people and made sure everyone who wanted to was able to get a pic or a moment with him. I stayed at the bar for a drink until he was on his way out (by this time the crowd had dispersed). I called out as he passed, 'Hey, I didn't get a chance to say it before, but I hope your grandma does well.' He stopped, turned around, and had a very genuine conversation with me."
  19. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Jason Momoa was really fun to meet in person when I saw him at a Nine Inch Nails show. Really fun guy!"
  20. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Jennifer Lopez. I went to where they were filming Air last year (I live in LA) because I wanted to meet Ben Affleck. I met Matt Damon as he wrapped before he left. He was a SUPER nice guy. I waited for Ben as his Escalade pulled up, but I DID NOT expect JLO to get out. She got out right next to me. She was only with her driver and he didn’t tell me to move or anything, so when she got out, I was like ‘Jen! Can I get a picture?' and she said sure. We talked about Selena because I’m Latina and she’s super important to me, and the movie means so much to me. She was SOO nice and sweet. She didn’t give any vibes that I was annoying her or that she had to Go. We also spoke in Spanish. We took our picture and then she went inside to get Ben. When they got out, Ben was NOT HAPPY (I don’t blame him. He was acting and directing), so I just stepped aside."
  21. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "In 2004, I met Tony Curtis. He exuded 'old Hollywood.' He made his way around the room, speaking to each person, and when he approached me, he extended his hand and held my hand through the entire conversation. He focused on our conversation as if there was no one else in the room. As we said goodbye (he was still holding my hand), he raised my hand to his lips and kissed it. He was dressed impeccably and was in fine form. I have had many celebrity encounters, but nothing rises to the level of Tony Curtis. Absolutely the best celebrity encounter I've ever had."
  22. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Sir Patrick Stewart at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando. We were both hanging out with friends in the lobby. He told stories, made lots of jokes with his friends, and included us in the conversation."
  23. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I went to college with Muhammad Ali's twin daughters. He came with them for move-in day, and they arrived in a chauffeured Rolls Royce. He was gracious and took as many pictures and signed as many autographs as people wanted. I even have a picture where he is pretending to punch me. I told him that I grew up down the street from the house he had in Chicago before he donated it to the Nation of Islam. He asked me if they were good neighbors and laughed when I told him not really."
  24. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "My sister met Katy Perry at a restaurant, but she was being rude to the bartender and all the employees who came over to help, so now my niece and nephew aren't allowed to listen to her music."
  25. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Tori Amos, and she was an absolute sweetie pie. She hugged me and told me she liked my shirt. We spoke briefly. I was starstruck, but it made a lasting impression on me."
  26. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I grew up in a tiny town (pop. 3,000), and every year for his twins' birthday dinner, Michael J. Fox would bring his whole family to the restaurant my mom worked at. She almost always ended up being their server and she said he (and his family) were the nicest people. They were unobtrusive, friendly, and excellent tippers."
  27. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "James Earl Jones was super sweet. My father and I met him when I was young. His voice is deep, but sweet!"
  28. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Dennis Quaid, and he was the nicest guy ever. We chatted about dogs for a while, and he was more than happy to take a few pictures!"
  29. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "I helped host a book signing for Bobby Flay, and he's a jerk."
  30. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Every time Dave Matthews plays at the venue across the street from our bookstore, people want to be working in the cafe because he randomly shows up for coffee the morning of his concert and gives the people waiting on him free tickets."
  31. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Nicest celebrity I've ever met was Cole Sprouse. This was way before when he probably got sick of being on Riverdale and decided to just show his true colors. He took the photo of us together because I was shaking from nerves and excitement."
  32. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I was a bartender at the Troubadour for five years and have so many stories! Jeff Bridges was the first celeb I met. His band was playing. Before we opened, after his sound check, he made a point of coming down to us bartenders to introduce himself and thank us for helping out that night. SUCH A GEM!"
  33. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Jason Schwartzman came into the bar I worked in on a night that had a bunch of teenage bands playing and was super sweet to any of the kids who came up to him."
  34. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "When I was young, I went to an Olivia Newton-John concert. I grew up watching Grease on repeat and had always loved her. At the concert, me and another young girl were invited on stage to give her flowers and introduce ourselves. On stage, l asked to get her autograph and she told me she would after the show. Post-concert, I waited with my family to get an autograph and she invited me and my dad into her fitting room and no one else. Once back there, I was so starstruck and amazed that she remembered my name! She was so kind and took pictures with me and my dad, signed a photo, gave me the set list, and wrapped it up by giving me a hug and kiss on the cheek. She spent probably an hour with us just hanging out in her room and chatting. To this day, it's one of my most cherished memories."

https://preview.redd.it/dnb43o882k3b1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18604477b755acb6c3f7830b5582b86cdf6a1296

2023.06.02 09:04 Huntsman988 Is the FDA more or less lenient than other countries' versions of the FDA?

The question probably isn't worded very well, but my dad keeps telling me how the USA has such a superior FDA compared to countries like Europe or anywhere else, especially when it comes to medical devices getting approval, drugs getting approval, etc. He says it's much more rigorous in the US and strict in order to protect public health.
However, I've heard that there's many ingredients that are banned in other countries for being unsafe that are allowed in the US, for example, various food colorings, and I've heard some drinks like mountain dew and some energy drinks are also banned.
Is he full of shit or am I wrong, or are we both right in some regard?
Apologies if this wasn't worded well, it's very late.

2023.06.02 08:29 never_mind_never My kitten just past

Minnie was only in my life for 11 days. She got pneumonia and had to be put down. She was around 6 weeks old. I never had a pet before. I never really wanted one. My son has been begging me for years to get a cat. I was always reluctant and would demand more then he can do before saying yes. The terms Iaid out were only for his bday or xmas and had to be a stray kitten from someone we know. Plus grades and chores. And he has to do everything for the cat. So a couple days before his bday his grandmother called and said there's a cat the hard kittens in her yard. My 1st response is thats to young to sperate form the mother. But she said there at least 4 weeks old. I said that's really young to sperate. Everyone else said no its not. Well i broke down and say yes. I take the cat home and fall in love with her not more the an hour of having her in my home. I look up everything i can on how to take care of a kitten. But a bottle and formula and start the process of raising a kitten. Well i guess bottle feeding a cat is not as cut and dry as i thought. She ate the nipple and went crazy trying to drink the formula. I feed her 3 times with the bottle. Next we went to the vet in the morning. And they told me she is ready for soft food. So no more bottle, meaning easy street for me. Things were so easy after that. She didn't poop for the first two days and I got worried. But at 5 am she woke me up with the lightest touches with her paw on my face and hand. I thought she just wanted to play. So kept putting her in her bed that was on the night stand by my bed. But eventually she poop in my hand. Lesson learned. After that she always used the litter box. She was so easy to deal with. I dont know if all cats are like that. But she was so easy to take care of. When i left her for work and came home she would come to the door and greet me with all the love in the world. After a few days we were like peas and carrots. I spent every second i could with her. She came to me when i called her name after 5 days. I bought her every toy i could find. And she loved most of them. But nothing was better then a box with a cheap ball in it. Kids right! But in that few days she started breathing weird once in a while. It would come and go. So i took her to the vet. They gave me some antibiotics for her. But I guess it was worse the the doctor thought. And she needed more then one antibiotic. That's what they told me tonight. When we got home she met us at the door. We played for awhile and she seemed good and happy. Then out of nowhere she started breathing weird again. But way louder and nonstop. And just all her energy. I thought she just needed a nappy nap. But she started to cry constantly and didn't her favorite treat want . I knew something was wrong and took her to the vet. Then everything happened so fast. They kept asking me how much im willing to spend. But eventually they said it didn't matter. And she is only getting worse after trying a few things they tried. And told me it was best to put her down. Once again it all happened so fast. From playing with her favorite toys to putting her down. 11 days with her and thinking i have a new best friend to being made at world. I probably will never have a pet again because i will still be missing Minnie. I had so many plans on spoiling her. But she is gone now and it's something i did that caused it. I just wanted the world to know my heart is broken in a million pieces.

2023.06.02 08:17 jerrolgw Is it possible to maintain muscle and or lose minimal weight while on a fruitarian/raw diet?

Want to cleanse my body and transition to raw. I’ve tried in the past to go fruitarian (with salads and green drinks) but I always end up losing a lot of weight. I’m an athlete doing physical therapy for various injuries. I always feel weaker when I attempt to go fully fruitarian I’m assuming due to the detoxification. My energy dips down while going raw so it’s hard to successfully get through my physical therapy/workout sessions. Any suggestions or experiences? Can you go fruitarian without losing a significant amount your muscle mass or weight in general? I don’t have a lot of fat on me as is. I’m 6’3, 225-230lb man 29 years old. I’m extremely muscular I played football and other sports my entire life. I plan on returning to play sports pain free. I believe many of my injuries wore from the physical trauma and contact from football and the acidic high protein diet. I’ve thought about moving back and forth between raw mostly fruit diet and vegan just because I’ve never heard of any fruitarian football players.

2023.06.02 08:13 NextAd8322 I have been offered an excellent job, but I'm worried I won't find any friends there. Should I be?

I currently have a job with some truly excellent colleagues. We're very social, we often go for after work drinks and I genuinely enjoy their company.
Unfortunately management of the company has recently gone in a terrible direction. Unreasonable deadlines, erratic and inconsistent creative briefs and stakeholders who are clearly panicking about their targets.
I've also outgrown the position - it's clear I've reached my peak professionally here and if I want to keep growing I have to find something new.
This week another company made me an offer - significantly more pay, more creative freedom and a challenge that I know I would do well at. The title change will be good for me professionally and open doors in the future that might otherwise be closed. Work-wise it's a no-brainer that I take this job. But I can't shake this feeling that I'm going to feel lonely there.
It's a small start-up, a team of 5. I've met 3 of them, and they're nice people. But they're not the kind of people I'll be drinking and laughing with on a Friday night after work. They're in a shared workspace, normally I would think that gives an opportunity to meet people and make friends, but when I went for my interview there it felt dead. A couple of people sitting quietly at some sad looking desks. This is in Shoreditch, London - so should be a vibrant community of creative, inventive people. I've visited other workplaces for interviews with other companies that were buzzing with energy, this was not!
So my conflict is whether I should take this otherwise perfect job, or hold on and see if something that feels like a better culture fit comes along. Obviously I don't know for sure that this is a bad culture fit, I won't know if there are fun and interesting people in the office until I spend some time there. Any tips at all on how to make this decision or get a more accurate gauge as to whether or not I'll find people I like there?
Feel like I've written a very long post that's impossible to answer. It was helpful to write in a way, just to get my thoughts laid out. Would be helpful to hear other people's opinions too.
Thanks

2023.06.02 07:58 Justneedthetip 9 months in and high blood pressure

Been fighting water weight for 3-4 months. On a once a week 170 mg down from 200 mg. Started real low in the 30-40’s when I started. One of the lowest they had seen. On 200 I went to over 900 But my estrogen was in the kid 90’s my last 2 blood work labs. Put me on 1 mg anastrozole, that didn’t work much. So now im on 2 mg once a week. Blood pressure has been a little high but not bad. Last 2-3 weeks it’s high. Chase one issue to create another. Feel Great. Energy and thinking is 110% better. Feel fantastic. Don’t like the ankle swell and bloating from time to time. Increased actively levels. Watching diet. Increases water by 3 times what I use to drink. Any thoughts on what would increase my blood pressure to mid 150’s over mid to upper 80’s all of a sudden. Have cleaned up diet and cut calories. Weigh within the same 5 lbs since I started. I don’t know why I can’t shed any weight

2023.06.02 07:47 sbgonebroke2 I love seeing happy families and couples in public

Like I had a very confusing childhood, but I will say, I love seeing families being families without any abusive behaviors or anything like that.
Examples:
I saw maybe 9+ positive instances, and I've just got to say, it makes me want that even more.
Sometimes I see people my age and older, or even younger, go through abusive relationships, neglectful situations, and more. And I think "Damn, thank fucking God I'm single. Being single with three vibrators and an obsession with plants and knitting with a hairless cat sounds spectacular compared to the dating scene rn."
So it feels extra blissful seeing what should be more common, and I'm glad that I'm seeing positive healthy role models and people in the street embracing love in a happy and joyous manner.
I want that. Like, someone who will love me whether I'm young and slim and beautiful, or if I gain weight and age noticeably and more, and vice versa. I wanna just have a really nice pleasant love that lasts for decades, a nice family to share, a nice home, cute pleasant experiences like that, and just romance and love in general. I wanna be surrounded by it, I love it. So so much.
I can enjoy my youth and life experiences and live in the now, but it's always nice to picture the kind of love I'll experience when I'm white haired and aging. No matter what, I look forward to it, highly.

2023.06.02 07:36 clauub98 [Intrebare] Investitie in ETF-uri multiple

Salutare,as vrea sa investesc in ETF-uri prin trader-ul XTB.
iShares Global Clean Energy UCITS ETF (IQQH.DE)
iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF (EUNL.DE)
iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF (SXR8.DE)
Dar as avea cateva intrebari:

2023.06.02 07:33 cybernetic-lotus Looking for geeky friends who also like dancing/techno/drinking

So not sure if appropriate to post here (I'm more a lurker than a poster), but essentially what the title says because Bumble for Friends is killing me lol.
I (F29) do have a wide group of friends, but I have very specific hobbies and interests, and it's hard to find others (especially other women) who seem to fit into the venn diagram of geeky af but also into going out and letting loose.
Some bg - I studied history and law a while back, and love a lengthy deep dive into geopolitics and philosophy over a few drinks. I'm also a huge sci-fi fan and currently work in a sector experimenting with emerging technologies! So not only would I love exchanging insane history stories (yes including all the dark shit), but I really enjoy speculating about the future and geeking out about tech. I'm not one to shy away from some deep/heavy discussions, and it is super fulfilling to be learning new things from other people. Some of the best drinks seshes I've had were just a neverending hours-long conversation, jumping naturally from topic to topic.
Other geeky things I'm into: pop culture things, movies, anime (love Berserk), philosophy, gaming, poker, drawing and writing short sci-fi stories. Been getting into more comics and I buy graphic novels now and then.
Now the even harder part - music is a big part of my life and I love techno, retrowave and synthwave. Especially some dark industrial techno, stuff that reminds you of that underground rave scene in the Matrix. Or 80s inspired videogame music and classics like home resonance. I like to dress up a bit Matrixy myself, with the dark out there make-up; or sometimes I rock up in a print t-shirt and jeans and just want to enjoy the music.
Tbh, I'm a bit embarrassed about the lengths I'm going to in order to find someone I vibe with (at a deeper level), but I'm an introverted extrovert and it's been very hard finding new people who can do both i.e. chill around and have deep conversations with me, but also keen to match my energy in going out a bit more spontaneously / dressing up and going to a techno rave.
Anyway, yeah, a dilemma. So if there's anyone out there who likes all of this stuff too, I would love to get to know you. Please DM me.
(For disclosure, I have a long term partner and I am NOT looking for anything romantic. I cannot emphasise this enough as I know my interests are male-leaning. But I am a deep person and I just want something more meaningful, platonically speaking. And perhaps slightly ironically, I thought I'd give reddit a try - I assume I'd get a different demographic to Bumble Friends - honestly, why are 99% of profiles just depressingly bland and generic lol. Like, no, brunch is not a personality.)
