I have since checked libraries of Metro Vancouver for video games and made similar lists for those which offer them on loan, which is a total of five: Coquitlam Public Library, New Westminster Public Library, North Vancouver City Library, Richmond Public Library and (still) Vancouver Public Library.
First, you should know about InterLINK and member libraries.
Second, those five libraries have different borrowing rules / limits w.r.t. video games:

NB: Any renewals are conditional on the games not being on hold for anyone else / the games not being in demand. This probably to other platforms but you might want to double check.

A few things that are good-to-know:

• There's strictly no M rated games at VPL or NWPL.
• If you want a blast from the past, there's a single OG Xbox game at CPL, Tom Clancy's Splinter's Cell - and FWIW it is backwards compatible with every Xbox model - with a disc drive - in existence.
• RPL
  • I was told staff that they have another 10 Switch games on a first come, first serve basis, but I haven't heard back yet as to what those might be or where they are (and they're not in the system - that much I've been told). If you come across any of those games, please ping me so I can add them to the list!
  • I was also told that they should begin buying new PS4/PS5/Xbox Series games at some point in the near future, budget permitting.
  • Lastly, there's technically around 450 games listed on the RPL website, but I've found that they were either impossible to place a hold on or had a due date well in the past (> 6 months ago), thus the far lower number of games I listed above. I'm still checking with staff whether that's correct.

I'm a ok looking dude with zero game. I found someone on bumble who i find very pretty who has a picture of herself sitting at a beach. If someone can figure out exactly where that was so i can pretend i knew it to increase my chances of matching her, I'd find it kind of funny. I would send the picture via PM and Blur the eyes out. I live in a region with no coast (will be happy to provide proof for everything to prove I'm not some creep trying to dox someone). Just a dude with zero game who wants to up his chances.
Will be happy to pay depending on how long it takes. 5 bucks at least tho!

The website ticketing is down and the app is too old for new phones. Can you buy tickets at the terminals? I assume so but don't want to get in a pinch and be late for the evening activities. I meant to walk by this morning but went the other way and I googled but found nothing about it. I mean it seems reasonable to assume they would but nothing is that easy anymore.

I would really like to see an official pico-8 hardware handheld. I really want this. Maybe even something that could still accept a keyboard and mouse to program from. I'm not a pico-8 power user, but compared to arduboy fx, which is a fantasy console with dedicated hardware and for instance the Gameboy which has gbstudio allowing a modern development style for a retro handheld product, the pico-8 is kind of losing my interest.
I would really like to see a handheld pico-8 console with some cool features like wireless connections for multiplayer between devices, rtc, rf for streetpass style features, games that can be played while in sleep mode(i.e. something like a Tamagotchi that kind of subverts normal gameplay styles).
I feel like now that the pico-8 community has had time to develop now is the perfect time to come out with official dedicated hardware. The sad thing is, is that people will be playing this fantasy console on handheld devices, but the actual developers won't be making any money on the purchase of these products even though the producers of those retro handheld products actually greatly benefit from pico-8 existing, because people will be buying these retro handheld devices sometimes specifically to play pico-8 games like me.

While I wait for a wireless keyboard and mouse, I would like to download battle.net so I can get Diablo going. However, I’ve been running into an issue where my connection is extremely slow when steam is running in the background. When I exit steam while in desktop mode, I’m getting strong internet speeds, however, the controls for the keyboard and everything else seem to change? I can’t get the keyboard open how I would with steam running in the background and can’t seem to get it period.
Anyone have any suggestions for figuring out a layout for controls or something I can do to make it a bit easier while I wait for a wireless k+m?

I arrive in Berlin tomorrow so I don’t have lots of time to find a good venue to watch the football.
I will be staying near Alexanderplatz station.
Could anyone suggest a good place to watch the game where I can also have a nice meal at the same time?
I asked my hotel to book somewhere for me but they “don’t provide that service” lol, didn’t even bother to suggest somewhere that I could call and book for myself.
I’ve done a Google search and come up with nothing really.
I’m sure it’s fine if it’s even somewhere around the central station and then I can just travel there from where I am.
Online booking is better but I’m not really bothered if I have to call to make a booking. I’d just like to be confident that I have a decent place to watch the game.
I’m travelling alone so it has been quite difficult to just randomly find good places.
I’d really appreciate any advice or options anyone could give me. I know it’s probably annoying getting these kinds of questions, and I normally would not ask, it’s just I’ve been looking for the last two hours and I’m genuinely lost.

We’ve been together for going on 5 months. He’s a flight attendant and we both expressed being at a point in life where we want to find someone to start a family with. I’ve asked for more structure and consistency, but nothing has changed and his schedule is more unpredictable than it ever has been. I can’t envision how the weeks will go let alone the future and time together beyond just laying around and watching shows doesn’t seem like something he naturally wants leaving me feeling like my needs aren’t being met.
5 mo in, shouldn’t we be having a blast and finding a groove where our lives mesh?
He is a good person and I don’t say that lightly. He goes out of his way to show he cares. The way things are is taking a toll on me though.
I picture myself telling him that my needs aren’t being met and I feel we are not compatible and should go our separate ways, but all I keep thinking about is how I’m basically saying he’s not good enough and that just crushes me.

Hi so I’m from south texas and I’m wanting to take my kids for a Christmas vacation. Is there any city either in texas or neighboring states that looks like hallmark xmas movies? I’m looking for activities with the kids either with fake or real snow depending on where i go . My kids want to see the snow , they’ve never Seen jt . I know it doesn’t snow here but ’ve been looking into grapevine (Gaylord resort) but idk if I’ll be over it in a day or if there are other things to do nearby . I have also been thingking about New Mexico but I do have a 1 year old and wouldn’t want to drive that almost 14 hrs. If I find something that really convinces me maybe I can go by plane but that wasn’t really the plan since I don’t want to over spend . Any ideas ??

“Tonight’s the night”. Sergeant Muller said to himself as he was staring over the entrenchments across the field.
Tonight he would embark on a daring raid across the battlefield from his own trenches to the enemies. It was not his first raid and by this point in the war he was a profesional in the regard of wreaking havoc upon the enemy trenches when the moon is full and night falls on the land. What was once a daunting task when he was a private was nothing to him now as a Sergeant. Even the prospect of death did not scare him.
His thoughts were broken when his good friend Corporal Webb approached him from behind “It’s almost time, are you ready?” He asked.
Muller used the moonlight shining above them and checked his pocket watch and nodded. “Of course”.
Muller then followed Webb towards the firing line of the trenches and they spoke as they passed by soldiers getting on or getting off shifts of mending wire, digging more trenches, or simply going about their own business.
“Why do you think the Bluecoats have been so quiet lately anyways? Today I stood straight up after coming out of my dugout and none of them dared even shoot me”. Webber asked.
Muller simply shook his head “Hopefully they’ve lost their stomach for this war and went home. Any sane man would have at this point anyways. We’ve been fighting over this stretch of dirt for months now without the battle lines changing”.
Webb nodded “Not us of course, we’re perfectly sane aren’t we?”
Muller chuckled slightly “As sane as we can be”.
As they continued to walk towards the firing line Muller thought about Webb’s question. “Surely we’ll find out soon enough what’s happening over there”. He said to himself.
Once they finally reached the firing line they hailed the sentry and they recognized him as Henderson from his broad mustache “Another night on the job then?” He asked earnestly as Webb and Muller past him.
“There’s nothing quite like it Henderson. Keep them all safe back here won’t you?” Muller said as he rubbed some dirt on his face.
“Will do”. Henderson said in reply.
With that, they then made their way across no man’s land.
The area between the Ticonderoga and Ulsterian trenches was a mess of shell holes, stumps, and dead carcasses scattered about the land. Every feature Muller and Webb knew like the back of their hands and they constantly used them for cover and concealment as they crawled across the field. No lantern was necessary for the moon was full that night and shined like a candle upon them and lit their way. They then came upon the outskirts of the Ulsterian lines when Webb reached to Muller and whispered. “Blue coat straight ahead”.
Muller then looked over and saw a sentry at his post leaning against his rifle. “He’s asleep”. Muller said. “His head is facing the dirt anyways”.
Webb then took a more stern look and drew his dagger from his scabbard and whispered “It's best not to take the chance.”
They then crawled to an empty section of the trench and Muller cut the wire and they crawled into the ditch. Their boots made a splash in what they assumed was a mud puddle and they made their way along the firing line until they spotted the sentry. Webb then made quick work of him and carefully stretched his hand over the sentry's mouth and drove his dagger deep into the man’s back. The blow would have been fatal if he was still alive.
When Webb threw him into the mud he realized he was dead and his throat slit. Muller then gave a confused look “What the Hell is this?”
Webb shrugged in reply.
They then made their way carefully along the trench but their subtly was unnecessary. It became apparent the trenches were guarded by dead men. Every soldier they came across was ripped apart with cuts and stabs covering their uniforms and Muller became puzzled. “My God what happened here”.
The trail of bodies ended at a dugout where a lantern was burning bright from inside. “Lower enlisted first”. Muller jested at his seniority while Webb growled.
Webb then carefully went into the dugout with dagger and pistol drawn while Muller waited outside. When Webb came into the dugout he discovered an officer’s quarters along with a hole freshly dug into the ground and a silver coffin with the lid fully pushed open from the inside. “What the fuck is this?” Were the last words Webb said before his throat was slit open and he fell to the ground with a thud.
From up top Muller nearly shouted “Webb?! Webb! What’s happening down there?!” Muller didn’t wait for a response when he heard movement coming from down the trenchline and looked to see Webb laying dead on the ground with a red eyed beast looking back at him from within the dugout.
Muller’s instinct to survive overcame his need to enact revenge and he ran for his life. By now he cared nothing for crawling on the ground or stealth at all as he ran past the dead sentry and bodies and onto the field. He could feel whatever had murderer Webb chasing him. He sprinted past the shell craters, stumps and dead corpses he had come to memorize and every step of the way he could feel the beast come near him at an inhuman speed.
He then tripped and fell into a shell crater and knew it was too late. Muller then drew his pistol in a panicked frenzy and turned to face the beast. However it was gone. He then peered across the field to find whatever was chasing him was gone and wondered if he had gone mad.
Muller waited a few moments more before he holstered his pistol again and ran towards his own trench line and hailed Henderson as he came near “Henderson! Henderson! Awake the commander! somethings terribly wrong!”
However, Henderson did not respond and Muller did not understand why until he came near and realized his neck had been slit ear to ear and he was only propped up by the rifle he was leaning on.
He then came into the trenches to find all his comrades were slain just the same as his enemies were and the culprit of it all standing at the end of the trench with claws extended and eyes as red as blood.
Muller however was out of breath and had nowhere to run even if he wanted to. He then drew his pistol again and faced the beast who had murdered Webb.
Either he would kill this beast, or join his friend in death.

I want to buy the Beam but I cannot pre-order it due to it being shipped only to the US and japan, so I am missing out on the type C cable that comes for free. What kind of third party cable can I get that can be used with the beam and my windows pc?

TLDR ; 2 years in I want to start talking long term but my girlfriend doesn't know what she wants for the future but is making other life decisions (buying a home). How do I know if staying would be stupid? Do I have any other options besides risk staying and sacrificing what I want or leaving now?
I (27 ENBY) have been seeing my girlfriend (28F) for 2 years now. I love her and I love our life together. We get along, have good communication, we have similar interests and in so many ways she is just an amazing one of a kind human. That being said our relationship has its challenges, she's not out at work (several times we travel out of town for her meetings and stay in the same hotel as her coworkers) or to her family and has no intention of changing that in the foreseable future and she is much more pragmatic than I am. I have been very clear for the last year or so that I do eventually want a marriage and to build a life with someone. I moved across the country with her, we live together and I love her very much. I don't really want to spend my life with anyone else. She recently has started planning on purchasing a house (only in her name). I figured I better get some clarity on what she wanted between us because obviously we cannot both buy a home and still live together. I asked what she wanted and where she saw things going. She basically told me she enjoys what we have, she loves me but she doesn't know what she wants in the years down the road but for the foreseeable future she doesn't want any changes to our relationship. She doesn't want to make any major decisions until she's in her 30's. She's been married before and it was awful so I want to be patient and understanding but also take my desires for my life into consideration. I feel like my options are to stay with her, live in her home and not buying my own any time soon and continue our relationship how it is and possibly sacrifice what I want for my life, at least for the time being, or end things now even though we have a great relationship and I want to be with her. I feel heartbroken and conflicted. Do I have any other options? Would I be stupid to stay?

Central Michigan’s done pretty well for themselves. As an all-time program, they’ve got the 26th highest winning percentage of current Division 1 teams at .589. They’ve produced some NFL greats like probable future Hall of Famer WR Antonio Brown, Hall of Very Good OL Joe Staley, and former #1 pick OL Eric Fisher. Central Michigan is the first 40-season team with a winning record! They’ve got 19 winning seasons and 5 more .500 seasons, so football in Mount Pleasant has been pretty satisfactory. Throw in 4 more years with just one more loss than win, and you’ve got 27 out of 40 seasons that have a win percentage of .454 or better. Hard to complain. Of CMU’s 5 title-winning seasons, 1990 and 1994 barely miss the list at #6 and #7, respectively, while 2007’s 8-6 team led by Butch Jones falls all the way to #20. Gives you an indication about the level of success the Chippewas have had.

Top 5 Seasons

Worst Season: 2018 (1-11 overall, 0-8 MAC)
This season came out of nowhere. Sure, Central Michigan was picked 5th out of 6 teams in the MAC West and were starting a new QB. But they had made 4 straight bowl games. They had one media member pick them to win the MAC West. They had some pretty talented players on defense, but this season was a disaster. Their 1 win was 17-5 over Maine. They did have 7 losses by 11 points or less. The offense was 3rd worst in the country, averaging just 15.0 PPG. QBs Tony Poljan and Tommy Lazzaro combined for just 7 TD and 15 INT, with the offense averaging a whopping 4.5 yards per attempt. Poljan was a massive human at 6’7 250 lbs, and would eventually transition to TE, earning 2nd Team All-MAC in 2019 before transferring to Virginia and putting up a 400+ yard season for them in 2020. The defense was very good for such a bad offense, giving up 27.3 PPG with a conference-high 4 defensive players making 1st Team All-MAC. Of the 4, DL Mike Danna, DB Sean Murphy-Bunting, and DB Xavier Crawford were drafted, with Murphy-Bunting starting for the 2020 Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
5. 2006 (10-4 overall, 7-1 MAC)
There were some big names on this team. Brian Kelly was the coach, and he definitely earned his way to the top. After winning 2 Division II national titles at Grand Valley State from 1991-2003, he moved to Central Michigan, where he won the MAC title in 2006. After 2 opening losses to Boston College and Michigan, CMU got 2 very close wins over conference opponents Akron (24-21) and Eastern Michigan (24-17 in OT). After another 36-45 loss to Kentucky, it was time to get to work on winning a MAC chip. CMU was great the rest of the year, beating every MAC team aside from Northern Illinois by 2 or more possessions. Heading into the MAC title game, Ohio’s defense was allowing just 16.2 PPG and less than 300 yards per game, but Central Michigan went for 457 in a 31-10 win. RB Ontario Snead had a 96 yard TD run for the dagger and WR Damien Linson set a MAC title game record with 191 receiving yards. Central Michigan drubbed Middle Tennessee in the bowl as well, 31-14.
QB Dan LeFevour won MAC Freshman of the Year, throwing for 3000+ yards with 26 TD 10 INT, and running for 500+ with 7 TD. OT Joe Staley was 1st Team All-MAC, and ended up having a great career with the San Francisco 49ers. DE Dan Bazuin, the returning MAC Defensive POTY, had another 1st Team All-MAC season with 10.5 sacks, and was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2007 NFL Draft along with Staley in the 1st. Staley formerly played TE, and caught 11 passes for 130 yards and 1 TD as a freshman in 2003.
4. 1984 (8-2-1 overall, 6-2-1 MAC)
Central Michigan had one of the best defenses in the country, and a solid offense to boot. A 6-0-1 start helped CMU jump out to a 4-0-1 conference record, competing with Bowling Green and Toledo for the MAC title. That set up a match with Bowling Green (5-2 overall, 4-1 MAC) for 1st place. Central Michigan dominated the day 42-21, but still had Toledo to get through. A 7-8 loss to Northern Illinois shortly after sucked, but had no impact on Central’s title hunt, and they rebounded to beat Ball State 51-7. That set up a de-facto conference title game between Central Michigan (8-1-1, 6-1-1 MAC) vs Toledo (7-1-1, 6-1-1 MAC). Despite a great CMU defensive effort, the Chippewas fell 7-14, and Toledo took the title. CMU’s season ended there, but it wasn’t without accolades. The defense was top 5 in the nation, giving up just 12.8 PPG. RB Curtis Adams earned 2nd Team All-American with 1204 rushing yards and 13 TD, while 5 other CMU players earned 1st Team All-MAC.
3. 1983 (8-3 overall, 7-2 MAC)
Just like 1984, this year’s team was in the hunt for a MAC title all year long with a top 5 defense and solid offense. 1983 was a 4-horse race between Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Toledo. After a 5-1 start, Central Michigan was right there in the hunt with a 4-0 conference record, but close losses put them out of it, losing 7-12 to Miami (OH) and 14-15 to Bowling Green. Left for dead, CMU rose up and put on their best 3 stretch of games maybe ever, beating 7-1 Northern Illinois 30-14, 6-4 Ball State 38-10, and 9-1 Toledo 34-6. NIU and Toledo were the top 2 teams in the MAC, yet Central Michigan beat them by a combined score of 64-20. If not for the 1 point loss to Bowling Green, Central Michigan would’ve been conference champions. Still, a fine year, and they finished in a 3-way tie for 2nd place with BG and Toledo. RB Curtis Adams arguably had a better year than his ‘84 season, rushing for 1431 yards and 15 TD. OG Chris McKay won team MVP. DB Jim Bowman earned 1st Team All-MAC in addition to those two, ranking 3rd in the nation with 8 picks. 3 other players for a total of 6 finished 1st Team All-MAC. Bowman was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1985 NFL Draft, and Adams went in the 8th round.
2. 1991 (6-1-4 overall, 3-1-4 MAC)
I don’t even know where to begin with this one. Yes, their 4 ties tied the NCAA record for the most ties in a season. Going into week 3, CMU was 1-0-1, heading to #18 Michigan State for the Spartans’ season opener. Michigan State was coming off an 8-3-1 season in which they were Big Ten co-champions. Because of this, they were 21 point favorites over a CMU team that was coming off a conference title themselves. The game was a slow burn for MSU fans. Central Michigan took a 14-3 lead into halftime and never let up, winning 20-3. The Spartans never recovered, going 3-7 the rest of the way. For the conference slate, Central Michigan apparently loved to play it safe, going 3-1-4 for the strangest 2nd place finish you’ll ever see. Central Michigan wasn’t invited to a bowl, and can you really blame the bowl reps? Sure they only lost 1 game, but they also only won 6. Still, it was a great year. Wins included Michigan State, 6-5 Ball State, and rival 6-5 Western Michigan, with the only loss to 11-1 MAC champion Bowling Green. RB Billy Smith led the NCAA in carries, rushing 374 times for 1440 yards and just 6 TD on 3.9 YPC. This was a typical Central Michigan team for the time, ranking top 15 in PPG allowed (14.3, 12th) with a stale offense (18.6 PPG, 75th).
1. 2009 (12-2 overall, 8-0 MAC)
This was a really good team. After an opening 6-19 loss at Arizona, Central Michigan travelled to East Lansing, and just like 1991, beat Michigan State 29-27. CMU, down 20-27 with 30 seconds remaining, scored a TD and opted for 2, but QB Dan LeFevour’s pass sailed long. An onside kick and 25 second drive later, and CMU’s Andrew Aguila was kicking a 42 yard FG for the win. With 4th year starting QB Dan LeFevour and one of the best WR tandems in the country in Antonio Brown-Bryan Anderson, Central Michigan was the big bad team in the MAC, and they lived up to the hype, winning their 3rd conference title in 4 years. They ran through the MAC with a perfect 8-0 record, the only loss coming out of conference to Boston College. Wins included 56-8 over Eastern Michigan, 56-28 over Toledo, and 35-3 at Ball State. CMU beat Ohio in the title game for the 2nd time in 4 years, winning 20-10. They ended in a barn burner of a GMAC Bowl against Sun Belt champion Troy, winning 44-41 in 2OT, thanks to 200 yards and 1 kick return TD from Antonio Brown. Central Michigan finished #23, their only ever finish in the top 25.
LeFevour won MAC Offensive POTY for the 2nd time, completing 69.7% of passes for 3438 yards 28 TD 7 INT. He added another 713 yards and 15 TD on the ground, ranking 2nd in the NCAA in total TDs with 43. LeFevour completed an illustrious career, having won 3 MAC titles. LeFevour finished 1st in NCAA history for total TDs (150), and to this day is 3rd behind Case Keenum (178) and Baker Mayfield (153). In 2007, LeFevour became the 2nd player in NCAA history (1st being Vince Young) to pass for 3000 yards and rush for 1000 yards in a season. LeFevour also finished 2nd all time in total yards with 15,853, and is now 4th behind Keenum, Timmy Chang, and Landry Jones. At 6’3 230 lbs with great athleticism, LeFevour was a 6th round pick by the Chicago Bears in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Antonio Brown put together another fantastic season, finishing 4th in the nation in catches with 110 for 1198 yards and 9 TD. He also ran for another 341 yards, and was the MAC Special Teams POTY with 3 returns (1 kick 2 punt) for TDs. The 6’5 WR Bryan Anderson finished as Central Michigan’s all time leading receiver with 3648 yards, going for 784 in 2009, the lowest total of his career but still earned 2nd Team All-MAC. Brown went on to have a Hall of Fame level career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. LB Nick Bellore led the team in tackles with 132, and has gone on to have a 12 year career in the NFL as a FB/LB. Coach Butch Jones left for Cincinnati after the season, and went on to coach at Tennessee.

Hi so I’m from south texas and I’m wanting to take my kids for a Christmas vacation. Is there any city either in texas or neighboring states that looks like hallmark xmas movies? I’m looking for activities with the kids either with fake or real snow depending on where i go . My kids want to see the snow , they’ve never Seen jt . I know it doesn’t snow here but ’ve been looking into grapevine (Gaylord resort) but idk if I’ll be over it in a day or if there are other things to do nearby . I have also been thingking about New Mexico but I do have a 1 year old and wouldn’t want to drive that almost 14 hrs. If I find something that really convinces me maybe I can go by plane but that wasn’t really the plan since I don’t want to over spend . Any ideas ??

My husband and I have two biological children, and because of complications in my last pregnancy we're looking at other options to grow our family. One of them is foster care with option to adopt before the child ages out of the system because we don't want to get in the way of reuniting a family. The other is adoption.
I started following a few accounts on YouTube and TikTok that talk about Adoption from the perspective of the children. Nearly everything I have seen has been about how adopted children feel that the system is a punishment aimed at mothers who cannot afford to keep their children, that rewards infertile women who have the means to "buy a child" . The videos I see are usually angry at the women (and ONLY the women) who adopt while saying that women who give up their children for adoption and ask for a closed adoption wherein they can not be reached out to down the line by their biological child, should not have the right to do that.
I have spoken to parents that have adopted, and they all think this is a very small but vocal part of the online community spreading this. I grew up with kids who were adopted, and I don't remember them ever feeling this way but it was a different time then.
My husband and I are still considering our options. I don't want to pursue adoption at the risk or expense of a child, particularly not a child I want to be a mother to. I want to know if this really is just a very vocal but small part of the chronically online community, or if grown adopted children really do mostly look back and think about their adoptive parents with this type of disdain and hurt.
If you are an adoptive parent, I appreciate that you may have some feelings about this. I do not mean to suggest that you are someone to be hated. I do not mean to suggest that you are not loved by your children. I would really prefer it if the people answering are adopted children themselves or else social workers who have seen both sides without the emotional response of feeling personally attacked.

Me (F23) and my boyfriend (M23) started living together. Everything's been fine, but he and I grew up in very different households which has made things frustrating for me here. He grew up in a household where he could leave his dirty dishes and garbage all over the counters and his parents would clean up after him. His parents never made him do any chores because I guess they thought he would do it wrong and they wanted things done their way. I grew up in a house where I helped with chores every day, helped my mom make dinner, cleaned on days where no one was home, and always put something away as soon as I was done using it. I would never ever leave my garbage on the counter because I knew I would just be making a mess for my mom to put away. Anyways, me and my boyfriend have been living together for a week now, and it's really getting on my nerves that he will only throw stuff out/ do the dishes when I tell him to. I can understand that we grew up in different households, and that's just what he's used to, but I don't want him to keep doing that. There's been a few times where I've told him to do something and he's said "ok mom" and it really bothers me, because he's not living with his parents anymore. This is a shared space, we are living here together and I don't want everything to be a mess. I've asked him to put stuff away after using it and he laughed and said I was being to OCD and not to worry about it, and I explained to him that if he doesn't put it away, then I will and I already do so much around the house. I haven't started my job yet, and he's working, so I don't mind doing stuff like laundry and the dishes, and even making dinner, but I don't think I'm asking too much for him to clean up after himself when he's done using something. I don't want to parent him, but I also don't want to live in a dirty house, and I don't want to be a mom to him.

Hi, i am an american student looking to come to Austria to study and get my bachelors degree, as its where my girlfriend lives and i didn’t really like my experience at my university here. I would have needed to get some sort of loan to finish my studies here however, and because of the proof of funds i need to provide to the Austrian government when applying for my student visa i think i will need a loan of some sort to get this money. Because it is about $8,000 usd and i spent all of my money on university here. Is there a way i can get a loan from an austrian or european bank or something to cover this and work a part time job once i arrive to pay this off? If anyone has experience or can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated as searching on google in english seems to never bring up what im looking for. Also if its helpful im looking at studying in vienna at TU or Uni Wien.

When all is stripped bare, we are all the same. When you ignore privileges, caste and luxury, we are all the same people. At the core humans are just humans. These are the words of Cosmas Butunyi where he tries to show that it is stupid to run another person’s race. We are all equal and same as humans, the only difference is in our status.

We all have the same needs which are food, clothing and shelter other are secondary needs. The only difference is in the form in which these needs are met and enjoyed. Whether you eat in a five star motel or cook, we all fill our tummy. Whether we live in a stone built house, thatched house or a wooden house we all have a home and shelter over our heads. Whether you buy clothes from the malls, tail our own clothes we still cover our bodies.

We don’t have to compare ourselves with others or fake our live styles in order to fit in the community or a certain group, let be ourselves, fight our own battles and accept who we are. Don’t compare yourself with others. Everyone has their own role to play in life.

Just like the sun and the moon, there is no comparison between them since they shine when it is their time. Enjoy your life and be contented with what you have as you aspire to acquire more through working.

Life is not all about pleasing everyone it is about hurting no one. Live your life, dream your own dreams and work them out. Don’t be someone else slave. In life we all spire to be something which is different from another. We all have our own races to run, our own battles to fight and our own challenges to overcome and the only way to achieve this is by being ourselves, facing our own problems and overcoming them in our own way.
Just as the saying “Ones man food is another man’s poison”. We all have some differences which makes us and differentiate us from each other hence it is stupid to run someone else’s race.

You know and understand your heart more than anybody else so better trust it. It is only oneself who can understand how he or she feels. No one knows the pain or happiness that another person is going through but themselves alone and only then can they make a decision that helps them.

This is the lesson I argue you to trust yourself, believe in yourself, live your own life in your own way without fear. If you are different, it means you have the courage to be yourself. Never forget who you are and what is essential for you.

Be positive about yourself, live your own life, live within your means and don’t lone to be like another person in life. Learn to be independent and dependent on God alone, have hope and believe in positive outcomes. We all have our own life different from each other and in this world we have one life which is worth living it to the fullest with no regrets. Living it as yourself and not a duplicate of another person. Be the best version of yourself and work on improving yourself. Be true to self and original.


Having negative thoughts about yourself is harmful to self. Negativity is the shortest way to turn your life into a horror. Have peace in heart and learn to accept who you are, embrace the challenges that come your way and learn how to overcome them. Poor or rich we are all humans and we are here for a purpose which is worth fulfilling. Understand yourself, love yourself and don’t be afraid of being different from the others.

Don’t compare yourself with others. Everyone has a role to play.

Before you suggest, no it wasn’t Bakugan but I did watch that show sometimes too, I know the difference. Also wasn’t Code Lykko, it was purely 3d.
I remember watching this show when I was a kid with robots that were circular in design. They might have actually been spheres but it’s too fuzzy in my mind to be certain. It would have been mid 2000s. Show was cgi, I remember the background sometimes being kinda warm coloured with lots of browns. Everything was very cybernetic, no humans I believe. I can’t remember any plot but I’m pretty sure it was action based with there being villains and such. One specific shot that has always remained in my head is where one robot was checking the back of another robot. It had something on it, either a switch or some kind of device. If it helps, I’m Canadian. I don’t remember what station but my guesses are Teletoon, YTV, or PBS. Doubt it was tree house, looked like it was meant for an older demographic.

I have the sweetest Akita pup, he’s 8 years old and HUGE. Probably about 130lbs. He hates the vet, he has a few incidents where he’s tried to bite them, so they won’t see him without being heavily sedated and muzzled. Today, we were able to get him to the vet. However, because he kept removing his muzzle they wouldn’t go near him. They allowed us to use their clippers to shave this spot down to get a closer look but she couldn’t get close enough to really look. Can anyone tell me what this is?
