We‘ve been in a long distance for about 2.5 years now and in july I’ll be moving in his city. In all this time I came around every school holidays and on important weekends such as his birthday, his graduation etc. From visit one on the conditions with his mother were clear: I can stay for as long as I want (which was 3 weeks at max) but I have to help around the house. No problem, I said tell me what needs to be done and I’ll do it. (I’m also AuDHD so I that complicated a few things; but that information only came through later). First stay came; I should help with the dishes and vacuum the apartment. Did that and thought I did good but once I was home my boyfriend said she was really dissatisfied with my work. No problem I still thought; they are probably handling things a lot differently than I do at my home (my mom is an alcoholic and my dad… yeah no So I taught myself how to do everything). Second stay came and she got agitated of how I do things; said I vacuumed sloppily, loaded the dishwasher wrong, cleaned the bunny badly. And also, I am not holding up to my promise since I do so little and dont help; I reminded her that I need to know what needs to be done which made her furious. His grandma told me to clean the hallway which I did - she thought my bf or his mom did it but was satisfied when I did it (his grandma can be harsh but has a honest heart tbh). This continued and then slowly got better for a while and I though we were slowly getting along; even going shopping together and stuff. It got REALLY bad when 3 things happened: 1. my bf told her about my family situation (I did not really agree to that but we talked about it a lot its fine now); 2. she found out about my diagnosis (which I told her to explain why I need so distinct explanations but she thought it was an excuse???) and 3. she developed some serious health issues (which made her lash out onto everything and everyone). This week we were looking for apartments and she is pushing me every second to be “quick, you’re too slow, act now, call there” which severely sent me into spirals - and I told her that. Now she is every day talking “You need to do more” “you wont make it alone” “I wont cook for you when you live alone I’m not your mom” (I’m a chef apprentice so I dont need someone to cook for me?) and yeah. This is actually slowly affecting my relationship since my bf owns the house and she has lifelong living rights… But how should I adress this to him? He loves his mom with her flaws and he owns the house so “getting rid of her” is no option whatsoever. I know I can talk to him about this but I dont know how to go about it you know? And also: any ideas how to resolve this that I can present him? Thanks in advance
TLDR: my boyfriends mother thinks I dont know how to clean and cook and thinks I cant live on my own so she KIND OF harasses me? I want to adress this to my boyfriend but I dont know how and I need solutions for this situation cus “throwing out” his mom is not an option and “moving out” also not.

I typically try to avoid talking about him but considering he's continued to make new social media accounts on stuff such as tiktok, instagram, and so on to seemingly keep tabs on me even 3 (nearly 4) years after we separated its hard to just forget. Its like having a constant reminder shoved in my face when I want nothing more than to just forget it all. So I thought maybe talking about it somewhere would help me feel a little better or something. I thought that with time and me getting older (I'm 23 about to be 24 soon) it would heal at least somewhat, but its all continued to plague me. Just a bit of a warning before I get into this entire shit show that took up 6 years of my life this story contains grooming, pedophilia, and some mentions of physical abuse, sexual, emotional and mental manipulation and abuse.
When I was 13 years old I moved in with some friends after a fight with my mom got physical and I got punched in the face. They lived in a duplex and below them lived a 18 year old guy with his family. After about 4 or so months of me living with them me and the 18 year old got close. He'd go on walks with me and listen to me vent about my childhood and everything I had gone through, especially after a family member of mine passed away in front of me. He just listened and provided comfort and support that I never really got growing up. I considered him to be a close friend that I trusted a lot. Over the course of the next few months of us being close friends and hanging out regularly he started getting... testy with me. For a lack of better words. He started seeing how far he could go with me touching wise and progressively got me more and more comfortable with that. Years down the line I also found out from my friend that she had caught him while I was 13 asking me sexual questions in my sleep because I was a major sleep talker and would apparently answer. She didn't say anything at the time because she was my age and didn't really understand it.
A month after I turned 14 and he was 19 is when we went all the way and was the official start of our "relationship". He told me right off the bat we'd have to keep it a secret and I wouldn't be able to tell anyone. I, being a 14 year old girl that grew up in a very strict and abusive household, took everything he said as law. After all he knew everything I had gone through and was the person I trusted the most. I was in "love", but looking back he played my emotions like a fucking fiddle and used my trust and the traumas I disclosed to him to get closer to me and later use against me when I wasn't doing what he wanted.
A few months into us being together the first signs of him being a cheater and abusive popped up, but considering what I grew up seeing it just seemed normal. My mom was in an abusive relationship all throughout my younger years. It was all I really knew of relationships. The first time he showed signs of being a cheater was when we went over to his friends house to play video games and his ex from high school showed up and sat on his lap and practically gave him a lap dance. I expressed my discomfort later on once we were in private and he immediately blew up on me and told me it was nothing and not to worry about it, telling me I was being crazy and jealous. The first time he was physically abusive was when I had snuck into his room to cuddle in the middle of the night since I had a nightmare and I guess my foot was cold because he immediately turned around, punched me 3 or 4 times in my leg and then yanked the blankets away from me and turned away. He didn't even apologize, just went back to sleep and I went back to my room crying.
This sparked this entire thing of him never allowing me to be under the same blanket as him, even years later once I was 18. It would usually result in me getting punched because my hands or feet were cold even if I wasn't even touching him with them. Around this time was also when he started telling me I was getting fat and shaming me into eating less. I was only 5 foot or so and I was around 95 and super skinny to the point my friends had been concerned I had an eating disorder. He started saying this when I gained the littlest bit of pudge on my stomach even though I was just putting on healthy weight.
Later on down the line around the time I was 15 he was house sitting for his parents and decided he wanted to have sex with me. At some point during this I was actively crying and trying to get away, but he just pinned me down and said something along the lines of "where do you think you're going? I'm not done yet." I think at some point I just started to think that sex was supposed to hurt and that it was normal. I also started to realize that he would not really be willing to show me any form of physical affection unless it was sexual, so I started initiating it whenever I wanted some physical affection or just affection in general.
It was that or I'd basically be ignored for video games or whatever he was doing on his electronics. Unfortunately this habit of trying to initiate sex in order to get affection has followed me into my current relationship, even though I know logically all I have to do is ask to cuddle, get a kiss, or hug. There's also the persisting pressure to say yes every time to sex in my current relationship, even though I know that if I were to say I wasn't in the mood he'd respect that. Its like part of me just shuts down at the aspect of it and I don't feel in control anymore. I have been getting somewhat better about this over the course of these past 3 years though.
Any time I brought up any issues or concerns I was having with how he was treating me it was always met with backlash and me being told I was being a crazy bitch. Eventually I just stopped bringing things up and tried my best to just ignore those feelings of something being wrong or discomfort. This went on for 5 years until eventually I couldn't ignore it anymore. For some added context he had been accusing me of cheating on him for about 3 months prior to me finding out about what he was doing. He had convinced his mom and coworkers that I was a cheating psycho bitch that was constantly freaking out at him over random things. (Far from the truth, I was so devoted to him that I would never even imagine cheating on him and I had already given up on bringing up any issues or anything and had given up for the 2 years prior on that since I quickly discovered my feelings would be minimized.) At this point I was 19 and he was letting me play games on his phone (bold move considering what I ended up seeing), a message popped up on the top of the screen from a girl on google hangouts. Here I ended up finding out he had been cheating on me for the entire relationship with various girls online. He had also been trying to get his 15 year old coworker to sleep with him and send him nudes. He was around 24 or 25 at the time. Somehow he had managed to get his coworkers on board for him getting with said 15 year old as well due to all of the stuff he had been saying about me and how he was making his situation sound with me.
Upon being confronted he immediately tried to pin the blame on me and say that it was because I wouldn't give him what he wanted. By that he meant I had been pressured into acting out one of his kinks and had been so uncomfortable with it that I had to stop (it wasn't face to face it was through roleplay text messages. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to back out of it.) I had had enough so I went for a walk and had decided to end things once I got back. Once I got back I found him sitting on my mom's porch with a knife. First he put the knife to his wrist and said that if I left him he'd kill himself right then and there in front of me. When I tried to move closer in an attempt to talk with him and try to calm him down he put it to his throat.
This is the most vivid experience I can remember of him using my traumas against me. He had done so before, but never to this level. I had confided in him at one point that I never wanted to see someone die in front of me again and that I didn't think I'd ever be able to mentally handle it. Which... he used against me. He used a lot of my traumas against me throughout the 6 years we were together. Whether it had been grabbing me by my face and either yelling in my face or talking through gritted teeth because he knew it would make me start crying, or hitting me in general because it immediately made me freeze up and shut down, or saying cruel things to me that I had told him about from my childhood.
Of course I shut down immediately and started reassuring him that I wasn't going to leave him and to calm down. We stayed together and got engaged, he gave me a promise ring and said that the ring was going to be his promise to never break my trust again. About a year later I'm 20 and we're living with his family and its Christmas. It had been the same routine for that entire last year expect at this point I was bitter and angry, constantly scared he would cheat again considering he had been doing it our entire relationship. Especially after he got close with another female coworker again and started going over to her house every weekend. I tried to say something but was always shot down immediately and accused of being a controlling crazy bitch. Well, on Christmas he suddenly told me that we should take a break. He left the room while I cried and once I had finally stopped crying he came back in and said that actually we should break up. Oh and cherry on top, I had had a miscarriage about a month or two prior to this, which I think the entire pregnancy part of this had played a huge roll in the breakup. I don't really remember much from that night but I do know I went to my mom's house for a few days after that. After this he kept switching back and forth between "I might want to get back together with you someday" to "I don't think we should ever get back together" and also gave me a list of requirements I'd have to complete in order for him to even consider getting back together with me. Once of these requirements was cutting my family off entirely, mainly my mom.
I feel so guilty that I even considered doing this... but looking back I was so dependent on him. I had never planned on anything else in my future except for him. The one time I did try to plan something for my future I had been considering going to college, which he had shot down and said that I didn't stand a chance and that I'd never be able to do it. He was the only thing I had ever planned for future wise. I think the really eye opening moment for me was when he had made me cry again by saying a bunch of fucked up stuff to me, I was on my knees just sobbing and he got a text from our coworker saying she was there to pick him up for the weekend. Without saying a word he stepped over me, turned off the light, and closed the door. I think it was at this point I realized that he didn't care about me at all and that his entire thing of going back and forth saying that there was a chance was just to keep me there as a backup in the case that things went south with her. This was solidified as fact once he started texting me saying he missed me after I moved away and things had gone badly for his new relationship with that coworker. He even vented to me about how he was suicidal and tried to get me to feel bad for him since them being moved in together lasted a total of I think 2 days.
I finally decided I wasn't going to wait for him and I started looking into apartments in my area while starting to talk with my friends again that I had lost contact with over the years since I was so caught up in everything with him or he had mentioned his dislike for (mainly when they pointed out how he was treating me). A few months later I wound up getting in contact with my current boyfriend. We connected pretty much right away and within a few more months I moved in with him. It was a bit of a rocky start I'll admit, mainly due to my own insecurities and traumas, but I've been healing slowly. I feel fine most days now, but there are still times where all of those memories come flooding back to me and I feel like I'm that confused and naïve girl again. I've been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety along with an attachment disorder I can't name off the top of my head since all of this happened. Of course some of this stems from my childhood, but at least with my childhood a lot of those memories got suppressed.
I honestly wish he'd stop making new social media accounts. Every single time I get notified that a new one has been made (I have his phone number for this purpose but he doesn't have my new one) it just makes me panic and shut down for a while, thinking he's going to try and contact me again. I block those accounts as soon as I find out about them. Its even worse when its on something like tiktok and I get notified that he checked my account. Full blown sends me spiraling. I ended up being told a year and a half ago that he's with a woman who has two kids. I just hope that one of them isn't a teen girl considering his track record with that. I really don't want anyone else to go through what I went through with him.

This might be long, I just want to get this all off of my chest. I want to preface by saying I have severe emotional dysregulation issues and bipolar disorder, so much of my confusion may just be a consequence of not being able to trust my own emotions most of the time.
My partner and I have been together for about 9 months now, and the first few months were pure bliss. However, around our 4th month together I started to get this feeling off and on. The first time was when I was in a clear manic episode. At this point, we were in a bit of a honeymoon phase and VERY codependent, but my mania had me going off on my own or wanting to be around different groups of people that they weren’t comfortable with much more often (I won’t get into the details of the episode as they aren’t super relevant). They got very worried that I was going to leave them, and if I’m being fully honest I almost did several times during that episode. But as I came down, those feelings went away and I was very happy again. After this, my partner and I had a conversation about how to handle future episodes. They told me that they could forgive and help me through almost anything (other than the obvious extremes like murder or something) as long as I didn’t cheat or leave them. They also asked me to always communicate my feelings with them, as they have some abandonment issues, and the anxiety of not knowing feels much worse to them than just knowing whatever hurtful things I was thinking.
Then I had an intense depressive episode, and for me those result in a massive loss of identity. I had no idea who I was, and I realized that I had BECOME an extension of my partner for every part of my relationship except when I was manic. I replaced all my hobbies with theirs (I stopped gardening and started playing DND, stopped drawing and started writing, started watching their favorite shows instead of mine). I desperately needed some independence, and I communicated that to them and they were amazing about it. They started trying to participate more with MY interests, like going to botanical gardens or watching Supernatural. By then, it felt like we were out of the honeymoon phase and had approached something more comfortable. I eventually left that depressive episode, and I’ve been in a period of normalcy since then.
For a little while things were perfectly fine. However, about two months ago I started feeling like I was tolerating them more than I was enjoying my time with them. In small doses, I LOVED being with them, but I felt like I was just sitting through something when we’d spend a whole day together or stay the night in each others places. I tried to be as open and honest about this as possible, saying that I might need some more time to myself to do my own things or hang out with my own friends, but that I’d always be there if they needed me. They were amazing and receptive, and I expected these feelings to go away with time. I had actually planned to stay at their home for the Summer and we agreed that we might need to take some more time before taking that step in our relationship, so I thought all was well. They were a bit worried about going long distance, and they told me that if we were to ever have trouble in our relationship they’d want to go to couples counseling before even considering breaking up.
But that was almost two months ago now, and my feelings just aren’t going away. I thought that the space would help me feel more independent and comfortable in the relationship. Since we’ve been out of college for the Summer and are seeing each other less, it’s gotten WORSE.
They visited this past weekend and met some of my extended family, and it just felt wrong. They’ve met much of my immediate family already, and it’s never felt this weird to me. But this time, it almost felt like they were invading my place of comfort. I really really enjoyed hanging out with them, watching tiktoks, gaming together, and just the general banter, but I found myself feeling really uncomfortable with their displays of affection. They tried to initiate sex twice, and I just couldn’t get into it either time. (I actually thought that this might just be me having a low sex drive for whatever reason, so I tested it out by looking at porn—which I generally avoid bc I think the industry is awful—and confirmed that I CAN get turned on, I just wasn’t with them). I really love and cherish them, but it’s like all of the romantic and sexual aspects of our relationship are just gone for me.
They’ve gone back home now, and I’m only just now processing the full extent of these feelings. I’m realizing more and more that my feelings towards them are more platonic than anything else, but they’ve told me several times now that leaving them is the worst possible thing I could do to their feelings. We were friends long before our relationship, and I saw how their last breakup (a very amicable one) affected them. They were depressed for over a month, and nearly failed their classes that semester. I’m so scared that I would do that to them again. I also feel so much guilt for keeping this away from them, but it just doesn’t feel right to try and communicate this over the phone.
At first, I agreed with couples counseling, but now it doesn’t feel like there’s anything to fix. There’s nothing wrong with them, and I’m not in any kind of episode (not that I really do know when I’m manic, but the last episode involved planning to assassinate a certain politician and I haven’t been doing anything like that recently). I don’t have a history of commitment issues and our relationship has generally been very healthy and open. I don’t feel like there’s anything to fix, but I know that they’ll want to do whatever it takes. I just don’t know how I can make them understand that it might just be over without absolutely shattering their feelings. They have so many good things going on in their life, they have a new amazing job and they’re on the deans list for high grades, I’m so worried that by telling them how I feel I might ruin those things for them.
I also know that they might not be able to forgive me for leaving them, and I’m so scared that I’ll ruin our entire relationship. The whole time we’ve known each other, they’ve been my best friend before anything else, and I cherish them like my own family. If I end the relationship, I might lose EVERYTHING I’ve ever had with them.
This is the longest thus far that these thoughts and feelings have persisted. I really really wish I could just love them liked I used to, I WANT to be happy with them. Our relationship has been nothing but lovely, healthy, communicative, understanding, almost perfect. I just don’t feel in love with them anymore, and I don’t know how to fix that.

So I work security at a large hospital and we had a nice little incident tonight. I'm working 2nd shift sup. and my guy at the after hours visitor desk calls me up about a massive family of about 20 wanting to go visit the ICU. Hospital policy is 2 visitors at a time between 2100-0600 so we explain that to them and all hell breaks loose. I've got all 5 of my officers there and my off-duty trying to prevent access through these double doors. Hospital supervisor is there too and they are fucking irate. Calling us every name in the book, racial slurs while calling us racists. I've never been spoken to like that in my life except for recruit training. Luckily it never got hands on, it stayed verbal only and eventually the hospital decided that none of them can go visit their dying patient. Police get called, 6 cops show and help us corral them out the doors, reports get filed, after action, all that good shit. A bunch of them were recording on phones though so I already know I'm about to be all over tiktok as the racist redneck security guard. Any of yall ever get your interactions put on the net? I'm just glad it never got physical because I don't think we had the bodies to handle that fight.

A lot of people are saying the Narrows is overpriced at $580 MSRP or even the ~$522 I see it selling for (which is probably the real price because benchmade is doing a marketing stunt with the 580 msrp)
So my main thought is ok … most knife nerds have zero problem dropping $500 bucks on a Chris Reeve. So for $22 bucks more you get a knife that you can flick, and slightly more intricate handles than a CRK. And given how thin the Narrows is relative to a CRK … I’m starting to wonder if the Narrows is a fair price.
Granted i haven’t seen a narrows before so maybe the tolerances aren’t CRK level…

The last time I talk to my ex-friend was June 2021. A couple of weeks ago, I see that his gf had been looking at my social media (tiktok specifically).
Things didn't end well between us due to many issues, but the way he's handled things due to his depression just hasn't made sense.
Why is his girlfriend looking at my stuff? I moved past it, and sent her a message saying, How are things going?
She turns around and blocks me. It's iritating to say the least.
He ignores messages I send him so was hoping to hear something through her.
At the cross roads of angry yet amused.
Edit: ex-friend estieally ghosted me in June 2021 but has continued making check ups on me via social media alerts.

Hi everyone. Please let me know if this is the wrong place to put this. I will try to be respectful to all in the way I word this, but if I am not, I apologize for my ignorance.
My sister (26F) and I (23M) are pretty close, and are very open with each other. As a child, she had extensive testing and evaluation done and she was diagnosed with ADD, which was later changed to ADHD. She definitely has ADHD. In many ways she is a classic case of ADHD, and it has affected her ability to learn for a long time. She barely got through high school, and dropped out of college because of her difficulty handling the load. She has been fired from several jobs over the years for not showing up on time/ not meeting expectations. She has her struggles, but I feel like I’ve always been understanding and openly supportive of her, even when my parents openly expressed their disappointment.
For context: in the last year she has gotten a divorce, come out, and left the high demand religion my family is a part of. These are all obviously big changes that should not be ignored.
A few months ago she brought up to me that she thought she might be autistic. I told her during the discussion,” I love you, and you know I will always support you, but I really don’t see it.” I fully understand that I can be falling into the stereotype of what autism is, and that’s part of why I am writing this.
She has also been changing a lot recently. My sister is one of the most empathetic, compassionate, and understanding people that I know. She tracks super well with people in conversations, catches on to how people are feeling, and is super attentive. I went to her for advice on steering social situations as a child. She never got sick of people, never tired out, and was extremely socially competent. However, she has been doing less of that recently, and seems to be more out of touch with the flow and vibe of conversations. She also has told me that she has started stimming some. She feels that she is unmasking autism right now.
She is currently pushing for a diagnosis. Her therapist was steering her away from it, and redirecting her to ADHD and neurodivergence as diagnoses and labels to focus on, but she is persistent. She is trying to make a case to fight for a diagnosis. I asked her what she felt that the benefit of a diagnosis would be, and she talked about getting the right resources if she ever went back to school, or even getting disability benefits.
So cutting to it. My sister is pushing hard for this diagnosis, and I can’t think of a single symptom I’ve seen from her (before the last few months) that fits autism that doesn’t go under the umbrella of adhd. She told me she wouldn’t be considered autistic under the current DSM manual. My brief time on Google scholar would lead me to the same conclusion.
She spends hours on TikTok and instagram, and I can’t help but wonder if she convinced herself that she is something she isn’t.
So my question. I am and will always try to be a loving brother to her whatever comes. I have just felt this mix of emotions. I know her well, and I haven’t seen anything that screams autism. If she is not autistic, it would be terrible to use the label to get benefits that were not meant for her. At the same time, I just want to jump in and support and fight for her wholeheartedly.
How can I balance these desires? How can I be supportive even if I have a really hard time believing her self diagnosis? I feel I should care less about the specifics of this, but I care a lot about my sister and her life.
I could add a lot more details, but I feel like I have painted the picture.
