2023.06.06 15:31 Animecomics94 Did the store make a mistake or did I misread the instructions?
When the online memorial day weekend sale started I read what the ad had said and to me it sounded like it was saying instead of getting 1 stamp for every $10 you spend you get 3 stamps(and yes, I do have my premium membership) well, the thing is I bought 2 books 2 of which were worth About $9 while the other one was worth about $11 in total I paid about $32 so going by that logic, I should’ve gained about 12 stamps, but I was given only 9 stamps.

2023.06.06 15:30 LegitimateWorry1132 Why do you think touring has become a more important metric for popularity in recent times within kpop?
Genuine question.
I can't recall people (i.e. 2nd gen fans) saying in any volume when the 3rd gen broke through, "their popularity doesn't mean much until they prove it in touring", yet it's a fairly common rebuttal when people bring up 4th gen groups being more popular than 3rd. I remember TVXQ fans would bring it up a bit but that was basically 95% Japan so was played little heed.
Considering general popularity in kpop is fleeting with groups peaking in the first 2/3 years (including a lot of 3rd gen groups), why do we now need to wait for a few years for a decent sized tour to judge them as more popular when popularity is incredibly dynamic and always changing? I can't recall people waiting years until Twice did a decent sized tour to judge them as biggemore popular than SNSD for example.
It just feels very convenient that the 3rd gen groups, who got a massive boost in touring due to Covid-19 and all its impact, now has fans that think touring is the main barometer to judge a groups success and popularity.
Album sales? Inflated by versions and new markets that the 4th gen benefit from, downplayed
Digitals? Everyone knows the public tire of acts quickly so doesn't mean much when comparing against older acts
Touring? Needs a big discography for a decent sized tour, can take years to do i.e. beneficial to older acts who have years building up a discography and their fandom - very important now.
Has anyone else noticed the massively increased focus on touring?

2023.06.06 15:30 ashduncan25 Advice on when you know you’ve found the “one”? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Everyone! Hope all is well on the home buying journey. Currently wondering if there’s a magical feeling you get when you know you’ve found the “one”? I’m currently living in Houston and found a really nice starter home built in 2019 for under $340K. Its has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a office space, decent sized back yard, and in a beautiful community (homes in the community are selling for $400K+). The only reason why I’m hesitating a bit are the property taxes (3.4%) and the fact that I’ve been looking solely at new builds for the past few years of searching and kinda had my mind set on picking everything out in the house myself. The new builds I’m looking into start around $376K-$382K.
I can FOR sure tell the home has been lived in( previous owners didn’t clean before leaving) and it would require fresh paint throughout, new baseboards, a deep clean, new carpet, ceiling fans, work in the back yard (think they may of had a dog), new fencing, and a few new appliances. I’m thinking after everything is done I would have paid about the same price for a new build…however, maybe these things can be negotiated in the sales price?
Is there any advice when it comes to making a decision on which home to buy? New build or prior existing?
I’m thinking to put a offer in so this could just be last minute nerves as well🤦🏽♀️ It’s my first place so I don’t want to bite off too much but I really do like it. Happy to provide more details. Thank you!

2023.06.06 15:29 tn22 Received summons on old debt
I received a summons on an old credit card debt from 2016. The account was opened when I lived in TX and the last activity was back in 2017.
I moved to AZ a few years ago and received this summons last month. From my research, Texas SOL is 4 years and Arizona is 6 years. Does the SoL extend if I move? I filed my answer with the court and my defense was SoL.
I thought it was small claims but it’s actually a civil for the amount of $623.

2023.06.06 15:29 columneaexcretesr05 Brera invests into Manchester United!
How’s everyone feeling on this nice and chill Tuesday morning?! I’ve been keeping my eyes on Brera Holding’s since I came across them in a post in another subreddit and just saw that they just posted some cool news this morning! It seems like they have made a strategic investment in Manchester United. After the news released it seems that their stock is up 20% pre market, which is pretty crazy. I’m going to dive into the main points, a summary and a TLDR in case nobody wants to read the whole post lmao.
Main Points: - Brera Holdings PLC has made a strategic investment in Manchester United PLC and plans to introduce a unique "Social Impact Football" business model.
- Brera is known for its innovative approach and aims to use football as a tool for driving positive change in society.

But what really caught my attention is Brera's "Social Impact Football" business model. It's all about using the power of football to make a positive change in society. Imagine your favorite teams not only competing on the pitch but also tackling social issues and driving meaningful impact. Now, this move has the potential to reshape the way we perceive football and could be a stepping stone toward a brighter future for the sport.

2023.06.06 15:28 Daryldactylsaurus How to stop doing my boss’s job?
I work at a tech startup as a marketing manager and directly report to the CCO. I have had a horrid time finding information internally that I need to create marketing strategies and to generally do my job, that usually leads me down a start up rabbit hole of finding that no one has done something and then I end up taking it on.
The problem with my boss is that literally everything that should fall under his to-do list like a GTM strategy, creating the sales strategy, identifying target markets (basically what’s the plan??), isn’t done. I usually take the approach of, I’m on this team and can roll up my sleeves myself, and end up doing it and then presenting it to him, getting his blessing the end.
But I’m now at a point where I’m at a loss for words. I have been working nights and weekends on our product launch only to find out in the middle of my work that there literally IS no product. The development cycles don’t match the goal posts and everything I’m planning for marketing can’t actually be done.
I brought this up to him and our CTO and they both acted like this was news to them. I asked where was the product roadmap and my entire company is acted like I invented the term and that it sounds like a fun exercise. This product has been in the works over a year! It’s supposed to launch in July 🥵
I pointed out that nothing was ready and my boss made me type him up notes for his executive meeting of all of my points to push the executives to move the timeline.
I feel used and abused and like I’m either very naive or the smartest person in the room.
What would you do? Leave? Confront the team? Other advice?

2023.06.06 15:27 Churlish75 Should I buy what might be a money pit?
Background: Currently own a “newer” home, built in 2010. All brick, approximately 2700 sq ft, on almost 1/2 acre. Quiet street, on the outskirts of our town. A huge homebuilder is putting in a cookie cutter neighborhood (333 homes) in the field behind my house. Good bye quiet. Since we found out, we have been looking for another home. We would prefer not to see our neighbors this time, so a little land along with a decent house. Unfortunately, the interest rates along with home prices, have increased significantly. Our current home has a 3.5% interest rate. We are in a want to move situation, vs a need to move situation thankfully.
That being said, there is a family home that will be up for sale soon. It is located on the family farm where I was raised. The house is pretty large, approximately 3500 sq ft., 10 acres or so. However, the home has not been updated since it was built in 1974. While it is a beautiful home as is, everything is original. Flooring, kitchen, baths, etc.. The basement flooded at one time, and I can’t recall how they “fixed” that. Also unsure about the septic, roof, HVAC, windows. I’m sure quite a bit of money ($75-$100k) would be needed to update the home. They will be getting an appraisal, but my best guess, based on what I have seen sold lately, is that they will price this at $450k-$500k.
It is also located about 15 minutes from where we live now. Tacking on an extra 20+ minute commute to work and school.
I can’t decide if it would be a good decision to buy based on the price and current interest rates and the need for updates. We would have approximately $150k after selling our current home.
Should we stay put and be miserable, but enjoy our 3.5 interest rate? Or jump into what might be a money pit on the family farm?

2023.06.06 15:25 colorkink Tatay kong Pulitiko-wannabe, salesman of the year pero ayaw mag benta
Hello! Di ko ulit alam san dapat tong sub na to so please bear with me. Yung Tatay ko, gusto ata nya maging pulitiko, nag iinit lang bumbunan ko kasi Senior Citizen na sya, and ang hilig hilig nya pa tumakbo as Homeowners Assoc President. Tipong pati problema ng iba pino-problema nya. Ganun na sya 15 years ago, until now. Palaging me kumakatok sa gate namin, minsan pinoproblema nya yung demand letters against sa BOD.
Di sya mabubuhay ng walang pinipirmahan or di sya nasusunod or wala syang inuutos utusan🙄
Aba!
Akala ko sa "poor" families lang to uso (sorry for the lack of better terms), di pala.

1st round was with a Sr Product Manager in the team and our conversation basically turned into a career advice session. He told me you left consulting and went for a job in sales which is ok but you seem like a bright kid why are u wasting time with sales cause it doesn't look like you yourself are very into it. I told him my hopes were to work in sales for a bit and move into product. He said sales experience is kinda useful for GTM stuff but you need to get outta sales asap if u want to get into product. He said sales skills are shallow and u have to be solely driven by money and u don't seem like someone who's desperate for money. Prefacing everything with "ofc iv only known u for 15 mins, so this is just some personal advice"
He said leave ur sales job, spend majority of your time upskilling and get an internship or something. You will thank yourself years down the line for taking this up. He said product people cannot be easily replaced and tho sales people make absolute bank, I'd recommend you to take a step back and really understand what you're getting into with sales as a career.
I was kinda shook and realized that he's absolutely right. Iv loved and hated sales but I think this was the reality check I needed to reassess what my core values are and what I want in life. If anyone who's in my position and looking to get outta sales, if you financially have the capability to handle it, quit, learn and make a career you want to be proud of while also enjoying everyday.
Don't get me wrong, I still think sales is an incredibly important job and one which can make u v rich, but I personally can't take it anymore.

2023.06.06 15:22 tootallsol What are your favorite hacks/upgrades for the 5 drawer tool cart?
Now that I have the popular tool cart from the recent sale I'm curious to hear what people do to their cart in terms of hacks and upgrades. I've heard the following so far:
- Swap the fixed wheels for swivel casters
- Use the magnetic strips to add storage top
- "Trim" the locking bars in the back to disable the locking bars and open the drawers with the lid closed
But I'd like to see what everyone else has done.

2023.06.06 15:21 Daryldactylsaurus How to stop doing my boss’s job?

2023.06.06 15:21 OneLoanataTime At a Career Crossroad, seeking non-partisan commentary - Own business vs. company
Hello,
I'm 29, single, and was recently laid off from a real estate sales role in a Fortune 100 company. I'm committed to a career in Residential Real Estate Mortgages. I tried my hand at self-generated business. This is where I hang my license with a lender, they provide the back office, generic marketing, and the products. It's on me to network, shake hands, and ask for referrals. I didn't love that aspect of asking for the business, maybe it's because I wasn't used to it, but I definitely haven't mastered it.
I'm now at a crossroads where I have an offer to do mortgage origination for a Fortune 100 company with leads provided. I'd have medical, PTO, 4% 401k match, and the opportunity to convert about 20-35% of their leads into a submitted loan (or contract). There are some folks making 10-20k a month simply by logging on and converting these online leads. My other option is to try my hand at self-generated business and live with my parents while I ramp that up. Every bank I've interviewed with locally is of course touting the self-gen business and the higher income potential. They're skeptical of any desk job working for a company.
Is it a good idea to move to the mid-west for a couple of years, grind it out corporate, stack money, and then try my hand at owning my own business or should I try ramping up my own business and start building my own client and referral partners?
Most of the people in this mortgage business that are top performers it seems have just been in the business for decades. I feel like if you do the right thing, have good service, and just stay in it long enough, there's money in the long term. Right now the market is slower so the ramp-up will take longer. Any insight is helpful.

2023.06.06 15:21 LFMVC Anyone work in car sales in NB?
I’m thinking about moving home, I’m currently working in used car sales and killing it.
Moncton has a similar catchment area and size to my current city and I’m currently in the top three every month for sales.
I also bring a lot of social media marketing and content creation for automotive dealerships along with training and certification, photography and videography skills and knowledge of the algorithm for the main apps like IG and Tiktok.
It’s very stressful thinking about leaving a job that I’m making six figures at in a city I like but don’t love but at the end of the shift New Brunswick is home and that’s where my family is.
I’d love to connect with people in the automotive industry.

2023.06.06 15:20 Expert-Cantaloupe-94 Breaking into private wealth management in Australia
Hey guys,
For context, I'm a final-year student attending one of the Go8 unis (the equivalent of target schools in America). I have an internal audit internship from the Big 4 under my belt. But I don't want to work in accounting. I have sales experience (having worked a sales job during the summer of '21) and I'm pretty extroverted; I would genuinely enjoy a role like PWM
My question is how do I get in? It's also worth mentioning that I have above average grades; not very excellent but not too bad either. I've tried looking at grad roles but it's difficult finding it. Do I need connections to get in?
