I had my follow up appointment with Medicann yesterday. This is more of a rant than a question though tips are more than welcome.
I have a relatively small yard with a large concrete patio. We moved recently so I have only 3 pieces of furniture out there: two metal chairs with a cushion and a small round table. The only things on the table are a cheap solar powered lantern and a lidded ash tray. Meanwhile, my garden is lined with a dozen shrubs and several small flowers. Ample space for spiders and we have a minor fly/gnat problem from recent heavy rains so they should have way more food out there, enough to live like kings.
Now, I know there are probably many spiders in the garden already, and I have seen some. But every damn day I’m sitting outside and some ugly mug spider, a different one every time, just appears on my table or chairs and decides to start making webs everywhere. I literally just came inside when I noticed one crawling on my arm. Even out front where there’s also many shrubs with lots of foliage to live in, they seem to all want to climb on and into my car to give me a heart attack on the road later on.
All I’m saying is that I work out in the garden a lot daily, weather permitting, and do not see nearly as many spiders out there (and I’m apt to run into many of them even if they’re hiding with the amount of pruning I’ve been having to do). The weather has been brutal, but my patio furniture is so barren that it doesn’t provide really any good shelter from the elements as there’s no places to really hide, so I don’t know what they’re seeing over there that’s so fun. There’s also no shelter like an umbrella or awning.
I’m at my wits end honestly. In case you can’t already tell I have arachnophobia and manage it well enough in the garden, but not when it’s in places where I just want to relax and enjoy the weather. I'm thinking from the beach I can target kingfish and spot with some hi-lo float rigs with small hooks. Wondering if it is worth using fish finders for Black or Red drum. Are the bluefish down there as well? I would bring float rigs with wire leader for those. Is it worth jigging the beach for flounder? Would it be better to target flounder up near the bridge?
