2023.05.04 12:10 TourEnvironmental604 New player feedbacks.
I've seen a lot of posts recently about MTX and UI and the new player experience.
I started RS3 in February I think, and I binge played until I did all the novice quests (and that's a lot of content!), except for 3 that required me to have high skills. I took a break, for a good month. I paid a few days ago a WoW subscription (my first MMO) just to remember that I actually prefer playing RS3, so I'm coming back, this time to do the intermediate quests and get to about level 50-60 in my skills.
Anyway. Overall the experience of a new player is not bad. At least for someone coming from another MMO. The beginning of the game is no more complicated than in WoW for example. You get to know the interface for two minutes, what you have to do in the game and it's fine. Now, it's true, I find that it's not so easy for a new player to know what to do, the menus are a bit too convoluted. What saved me was really discovering that I could go through the game through the quests and do my life on the side. It's true that the "F2P" "P2P" partition often seems silly to me. For example, since I need some sort of framework to know what to do, I do the quests in a chronological way. Except that sometimes you have a quest that requires you to be a subscriber, other times not... Frankly, the game would benefit from putting all the "novice" quests in F2P and the rest in subscription. There are also F2P quests that require you to have a "subscriber" skill, it's absurd, and in fact, it annoys me more than anything else.
The second thing that's a bit confusing is that there is actually a lot to do. For example, the housing, we are briefly introduced to it, then it is forgotten. But little by little we understand that it's still a wiki game, like so many others (even solo games). Before playing the MMO, I think what put me off was that, not knowing anything about RS 3 (and having missed out on OSRS) when I saw the game on steam, I thought it was a mobile game. This was confirmed by the countless reviews on MTX.
Now... To talk about MTX for two seconds, I'm sorry, but it's not worse than anywhere else, especially when you play hardcore. WoW is much worse than that. When I play Wow, and I want to change server, I have to pay. For a sesame, I have to pay (even if I get a free sesame when I buy the game). There are cosmetics. The lamping, even in hardcore, I find it a bit intrusive. The point of playing RS3 20 years after everyone else is that I want to discover a parallel universe with lots of content. But... Compared to Wow which does not let me choose my leveling speed at all, I can assure you that it's a good thing that this catching up system goes through lamps on RS3.
On the other hand, coming from WoW, I notice that everything cosmetic is usually behind the MTX and it's a shame. Now, few games manage to satisfy as well as WoW in terms of collection.
The real problem for a new player on RS3 is the combat gameplay. More difficult than in ORSR, and not so well explained compared to other games (and more complex than modern MMOs). And in terms of "moment to moment", it's not that interesting and the handling is much worse than the competition. But overall, the game works very well.
What the game really lacks is advertising. I wouldn't say no to changing the combat and movement gameplay to modernize it, but you get used to it very quickly. And there's a big problem with polishing. Sometimes I have the impression that the devs have a lot of good ideas, but they put them directly into the game without improving it over time. For example the wiki. It's so amateurish to have to leave the game to consult it... Either we put it on or we don't. But it's in-between is a little weird.
A lot of the criticism I read can be understood if you've been around for ages or play competitively. But as a new player, and a big player in general, frankly, the UI isn't simple but at least it reconfigures to do what you want with it, and I understand it better than FF14's. MTX, really, I've seen much worse on big MMOs, except for the cosmetic aspect where you feel like you have to pay to change your look (in any case, I've rarely earned transmog for free). In the world of MMOs, I think RS3 is quite unique and could fit a lot of new players' desires. A bit like FF14 which gave Solo players a long epic story, RS3 could do the same.
And when I look at the players' reviews... Frankly, I feel like I'm not playing the same game. For me, RS3 is a UFO and I'm really glad I came across it. I just didn't know from the outside that it was a UFO and that it was exactly what I was looking for in an MMO (sharing the same world as people, but doing my life solo). And really, I think that the zeitgeist of MMOs is precisely on this niche.
Edit : Side note on MTX. What I find funny about the ads is that they are just as complicated as the game. As a new player, I don't know what the point is of the hunter keys, the billions of points I can earn and such. I just know that I can pay for transmog and progression. And most importantly, I can play the game completely normally. I've never felt any discomfort that would force me to look for a way around it. Like in ESO, for example, where very quickly if you want to craft, you realize that you'll have to go through the MTX.
I really insist. The game completely sucks at trying to sell me stuff, and that's fine.

2023.03.19 16:46 Aztaloth First time(ish) playing Destiny 2. A few questions.
With the passing of Mr. Reddick I have seen a lot of Destiny 2 posts and videos which have piqued my curiosity as I find myself in a bit of a rut lately with games. Used to play a lot of Warframe, FF14, Warthunder, etc but burnout happens...
So I know I played though a tutorial back before it was even on Steam. But I don't really count that.
At this point I plan on playing mostly Solo and exclusively PvE so onto my questions.
1: Should I just start with the FtP version and then go from there or go ahead and purchase the Legacy Collection? I will admit I don't know the flow of the game. Therefore I want to make sure that not buying the expansions at this point won't cause me to miss out on anything major.
2: Is there a good wiki or similar site for lore/equipment/general nerding out about the game that you all would recommend. I know there is a Destiny 2 Wiki on Fandom but wasn't sure of other possibly better options.
3: General tips and advice would be great.
4: And this one I hope isn't too touchy. I use WeMod for a few exclusively single player games. Usually after I have beat them and want to go back and have some stupid fun in them by being overpowered. Not only would I not use it for a Multi Player game but I don't even think it is possible. However should I completely remove it from my system, or am I safe just keeping it closed and not running while playing D2. I haven't played anything that uses Battleye so I am not sure how sensitive it is.
Thanks in Advance everyone!! Please be gentle with a middle age guy who knows almost nothing about the game.

2023.03.13 20:44 cohenaj1941 How to find the best selling items on the marketboard!
| We have created a cool tool that finds which items earned the most gil on your marketboard! We have an extended guide on it here. It uses Universalis data to compute the total revenue earned by items on a time period you define (i.e. 24 hours, 168 hours, etc) You can find the various searches we have created here: https://saddlebagexchange.com/ffxiv/marketshare/queries You can join our discord to try out our latest and greatest features https://discord.gg/836C8wDVNq Our market overview tool creates a heat map similar to the S&P 500 heat map if any of you are familiar with that. And you can tab between the various different options to show the map in different ways based on data like the top price increases, purchase amount, quantity sold, average/median/minimum price, etc. Green items are increasing in price, yellow is around the average price, red is decreasing and blue is out of stock. Heat Map Overview The full statistics used are displayed in a table below: Stats table We created a few searches with different inputs here to use. If you find some more good ones let us know and we can add it into our website. Recommended Market Searches submitted by cohenaj1941 to ffxiv [link] [comments] |
2023.03.12 22:21 zuril AM4 vs AM5 New Build
Build Help/Ready:
Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do) Yes
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. Primarily gaming
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings) WQHD (3440x1440) @ 144hz if possible (not in newer AAA titles, but older ones like FF14 would be ideal). Not a deal breaker to drop quality settings, particularly in more competitive titles
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)? Under $1500 but lower is generally preferred
In what country are you purchasing your parts? USA
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).
AM4:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Y7CG8r AM5:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PLbBKp Provide any additional details you wish below. I generally run a build as long as I can manage so longevity would be appreciated. At a glance, AM5 being newer seems like the better option in terms of support and games taking advantage of newer features in the coming years but it IS the first gen so I'm not totally sure if there's any quirks to be aware of with it that might make it worse than AM4.
Edit: I should also specify I'm trying to keep things as quiet as I reasonably can so I'm sure some of these parts could be changed out for cheaper and equally performant parts, low noise outside of gaming is a big plus.

2023.03.11 00:37 Isntprepared Never have an AI try to explain mechanics to you (spoilers for Sunken Temple of Quarn)
Was playing around with "New Bing" to see how well it could handle something more complex, and figured why not - let's try having it explain a dungeon in FFXIV.
Marked title as spoilers, but eh, it's a super early dungeon :)
Part 1: The query
Can you provide a guide to completing "The Sunken Temple of Quarn" in FFXIV?
Sure, I can help you with that. The Sunken Temple of Qarn is a level 35-37 dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn that is located in Southern Thanalan near Little Ala Mhigo¹². It has three bosses: Teratotaur, Temple Guardian and Adjudicator¹⁴. Each boss has its own mechanics and strategies that you need to know before entering the dungeon. Do you want me to explain them to you?

Part 2: The follow up - First boss! --
Please explain each boss
Bold text is my emphasis
Okay, let me start with Teratotaur. He is the first boss of the dungeon and he has some instant death mechanics that you need to watch out for²⁴.
One of them is an uncurable Doom spell that he randomly casts on a party member when he is below 50% HP¹³. This will kill you after a few seconds unless you step on one of the three square plates around the arena that will remove it²⁴. However, be careful not to step on a plate that has a glowing symbol on it, as this will trigger a trap that will damage and stun you instead²⁴.
Another mechanic is that he occasionally summons a pair of Dung Wespes that have an attack called Final Sting which deals fatal damage¹³. You need to kill them as soon as possible while the tank keeps Teratotaur busy. You can also stun or silence them to prevent them from using Final Sting².
The rest of his attacks are not very dangerous, but you should still avoid his frontal cleave and his tail swipe. He also has a knockback ability called Head Butt that can push you into traps or off the edge of the arena if you are not careful.
That's all for Teratotaur. Do you have any questions about him?

2023.03.05 16:26 cohenaj1941 Are you missing the best selling opportunities? Discord price alerts can help you get the edge!
Saddlebag Exchange Discord Price Alerts
Do you check the ah only to find all your crafted goods are always unprofitable?
The price alerts from
saddlebagexchange.com can help you get the edge!
Its not always a matter of what you can sell, but when you try and sell! If you look up your crafts on
oribos.exchange you will likely see many price spikes when the price of your goods shot up double, triple or 10 times the normal price for short periods of time.
You can try to predict these spikes ahead of time with tools like our
commodity shortage futures. However the best way to profit is simply being online and getting to the AH to cancel scan when prices are high or when the cost of your raw materials is low!
Saddlebag Exchange discord price alerts will alert you via discord when this happens! Our discord bot lets you pick dragonflight items and prices you want to monitor. The bot will send you a direct message whenever these items are above or below the prices you pick.
Its a simple easy way to learn when its a good time to get to the ah and start crafting! Just go to our
price alert data generator pick the items and prices your want to be alerted on and then give the data to our discord bot with the command
"/wow price-register". Our alerts run once per hour when Blizzard updates its api data for commodities and its available for the US and EU regions.
To get access to our alerts join our discord and check out our guide on how to set up alerts with our bot. Do note these current discord alerts go out 4 min after the hourly api updates and are best used for commodities.
______________________________________________________
Upcoming alert features planned
We are currently working on a new alert system that will trigger seconds after the api updates, they will be synced to all local connected realm api timers for all realms and will be available for sniping all items from all expansions!
Our next generation alerts will let you snipe up transmog, mounts, toys, BOA's and more from anything available on the AH!
We will also be attempting to eventually add features to snipe items based on color / appearance ids, ilvl, or tertiary stats (leech, speed, avoidance, sockets, etc) and much much more!
Stay tuned for more details to come on our mega fast api sniper!

2023.02.04 17:05 cohenaj1941 Do you want to know when prices will go up BEFORE they go up?
TLDR:
Here's the link, it finds dragonflight commodities with low quantity that are about to increase in price:
https://saddlebagexchange.com/wow/shortage-predictor ____________________________________
WoW Commodity Futures!
Many of you are familiar with the basics of supply and demand. When quantity bottoms out it means prices will be going up very soon. If you flip and reset items on the AH you are very aware of this.
With this concept the Saddlebag Exchange team is proud to present our "Dragonflight Commodity Shortage Futures" search:
https://saddlebagexchange.com/wow/shortage-predictor Our tool uses the Blizzard API data to track the changes in quantity similar to
oribos.exchange. The difference is that we are measuring the rate of change in quantity and using it to narrow down commodities that are likely to sell out in the near future.
Our search also looks at the current price and allows you to find items that have not yet increased in price vs the normal average price!
After prices increase and this is found by the API, many people will jump on the item. Competition will increase making it harder to sell at a high price. Eventually this will drive prices back down.
Our tool lets you get there first to find shortages before they happen and before prices go up! For casual crafters this means you can post a few items at much higher prices than normal with a very good chance they will sell out. For flippers this will find the best flips and resets around!
If you are unsure of an item will increase you may just want to wait and see what happens. We account for this and we also have have a system of discord price alerts build into the search that will allow you to monitor specific items found by our search with the Copy Input Data button you will find after running the search. Using this data with our "/wow price-register" command in our discord you can get an alert via direct message when the price increases.
Discord link:
https://discord.gg/836C8wDVNq You can find more info on our price alerts here:
https://github.com/ff14-advanced-market-search/saddlebag-with-pockets/wiki/WoW-discord-price-sniper-and-spike-alerts FYI with the same alert system we also offer regional monitoring of items on local server markets for all of you who like to flip the "Design: Elemental Lariat". I'll make a new reddit post about this feature in the future.
Message us in our discord if you want to try our alerts and we will give you the role with access to run the commands. Our patreon also automatically applies this to your discord user for anyone who wants to support the site and help us pay our server bills.

2022.12.28 08:02 Concerned_Villager [Spoiler: Heaven's ward 3.2+]
I stopped playing FF14 after Shadowbringers due to reasons but I still watch and read on what other players share. With that said, here's the issue.
I'm really confused how the Dragonsong War in (Main Story) is considered done.
- As we know Ratatoskr (Nidhogg's Sister) was killed by King Thordan. Thordan and four of his knights were later killed by Nidhogg. However the son of Thordan, Haldrath took one of Nidhogg's eye and the other given to dragoon soldiers.
- In the entire main story line and class dragoon story line, the eyes have always retained form until later expansions both eyes are destroyed by Estinien. Yet in Shadowbringers leading up to Endwalker; it became cannon that Nidhogg's power and soul-link became one with Estinien under the bond they share.
With this in mind, there is no mention on the fate of Ratatoskr's eyes other than, Thordan took the eyes and shared it with his loyal subjects. From what... I understood from the (Main Story) no one not even the warrior of light, had the power to destroy the eyes which lead to many problems. I came to believe and theorized that the only reason Estinien was able to destroy them by his hand is because of the common goals they shared and that in essence because Estinien had dragon blood flowing in him due to Nidhogg's madness in punishment; allowed him to destroy them yet also opened the door for Nidhogg to merge with Estinien. Essentially making him the son of Nidhogg.
- Going from this thought, how did Thordan share the power of Ratatoskr's eyes? We established that the eyes can only be destroyed either by consent or... have dragon blood flowing in them. There is no record if Thordan had any dragon blood in him, but since its recorded in lore that he was the first mortal to establish a connection to the dragons, then some how... found out that the eyes contained power are we saying:
A): Ratatoskr told Thordan this info on accident via trust or on purpose as a test to see mankind worthy of being respected?
B): Ratatoskr betrayed her kind giving consent to Thordan to have her power for unknown reasons.
We literally have no info, no lore, nothing in back history to understand who Ratatoskr is other than being a special someone to Nidhogg.
- With this in mind, I found it extremely frustrating and disappointed that in (Main Story) & (Dragonsong's Reprise); developer's did not explore this. Which leads to... the idea that there's a major story plot unfinished as there are multiple areas in "Heaven's Ward" remain unused and areas from the previous era of FF14 (1.0) that remain in-game but shoved to a corner in the most forgettable of places unless you replay the main story.
- There's also a bunch of small details that most players forget and that developer's purposely let die as the story continued.
1: Midgardsormr had the power to communicate and influence creatures, even when dead physically.
2: Midgardsormr had the power to seal Hydaelyn's power during the journey, making him stronger than her, Zodiark, Ascians, and Meteio.
3: Midgardsormr and his brood are not from this world and were fleeing from "Omega Weapon". Story states that he encountered Hydaelyn which granted asylum to him and his brood.
4: Note that because the brood is from another world; they remained unaffected by Hydaelyn's judgement in dividing the worlds. Meaning this entire time, the dragon race has watched this madness this story being told from the beginning. This is further backed up during the "Meteio" story plot as her & other sisters failed to mention any of the dragon brood from the other worlds.
5: However now that Nidhogg has merged with Estinien; this explains his new personality change as Estinien is fully aware of what the truth is with the help of Nidhogg's wisdom. Which is why he spoke the way he did during the choice of wether or not he should join/help the Scions. I truly believe a lot of hard-core fans missed this major plot point because of the demand of fan service, blinded them.
6: In the end of the Omega story line, Midgardsormr said in his final breath, he was going into a deep slumber; not death. Omega didn't fully die either as "the power of forgiveness and compassion" from the Warrior of Light; did he grant Omega's final wish of rebirth to understand life. This is backed up in End Walker when Zenos's last wish (voice inaudible); for the warrior of light to survive. The same wish that Midgardsormr gave during Omega's Judgement.
7: Omega is a machine from another world; origins and prime directive unknown, creators unknown.
8: All of this in mind, the fact that Ratatoskr refused to communicate at any given point in (Main Story) & (Dragonsong's Reprise) tells me that she is still alive by whatever reason and the fact in (Main Story) her eyes are still around.
- I still do not know how to feel about (Dragonsong's Reprise) as it seems incomplete and misleading. The main fact is... from what I've read from the wiki, lyric songs, and youtube videos of the raid of the entire fight; Ratatoskr seemed to be again the victim. Which questions the final boss fight of Thordan absorbing (4 dragon eyes). Technically he should have six dragon eyes due to Ratatoskr's set.
However... since the (Dragonsong's Reprise) is just a what-if and not canon; (Main Story) plot is still active.
Conclusion
So... I will ask you Final Fantasy 14 community; did I misunderstood what is currently present? Or... did I miss any crucial information?
If something is wrong, please provide links of direct proof explaining which part is wrong. As it seems now, the "Dragonsong" is not over and I believe in a future expansion; we are going to finish it.
Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day!

2022.12.25 04:15 ducttapetricorn I completed 37 games in 2022, here are my reviews.
Hi all,
Wanted to briefly write about each of the games I completed* in 2022. (completed as in hitting the end scene credits for most, and doing some of the side quests and post game content) They are written chronologically by completion date. Generally I lean towards JRPGs (my fav genre) but will try out various other genres based on what’s popular or recommendations.
Jan 14 /
Diablo II Resurrected - Started the year with an old classic. This is one of the few remasters that blizzard didn’t screw up. Graphics are clean as ever but feels faithful to the original. Gameplay is classic and snappy. The new 2.4 patch was certainly a lot of fun and rebalancing changes were excellent. Made several characters including frozen orb sorc, bowazon, skelly necro, bone necro, trapsin, summon druid, and even tried out barbarian and paladin. For the first time in two decades I actually completed hell baal on any character without being carried.
Feb 1 /
Trails of Cold Steel - Have always heard good things about the legends of heroes series and figured this was a good starting point. Jumped in blind and had a complete blast. It has a nice classic turn based JRPG feel. Story was interesting - starts off as more slice of life/high school with monster adventures and ends with plot ramping up to more political conflict/intrigue. Decent world building, some anime tropes but they have never bothered me. Definitely a slow burn.
Feb 10 /
Planescape Torment - Picked it up on sale and wanted to try it out. I have some familiarity with the old aDnD/2nd edition system from playing through baldur’s gate, so the clunky mechanics and gameplay did not bother me much. The story is the highlight and there’s more reading than modern games, but definitely makes you think about the central themes. For those who are unfamiliar, instead of a typical medieval/high fantasy dnd adventure, this one feels more dark, bizarre, and has an otherworldly “eldritch” feeling to it. (as the name would suggest)
Feb 26 /
Pokemon Arceus - pokemon was one of the games that got me into the jrpg genre so of course I picked up arceus. I liked how gamefreak tried to experiment a bit more with new mechanics like open world, wild catching outside of combat, powespeed attacks, and changing up stats/damage etc. Pre-industrial Sinnoh was a treat. Some of the sidequests unfortunately felt slightly grindy, and I wish there were more trainer battles.
March 13 /
Trails of Cold Steel 2 - continuing my next game into the series. Felt like a modest improvement in every way over CS1. Story definitely picks up the pace a lot more, with additional opportunities to flesh out the characters and the world. The “new mechanic” (without spoiling) and almost genre change came completely out of left field for me. The epilogue left me with more questions than answers (of course they are trying to set up for CS3, but also connect it to previous TLoH games). This game definitely solidified me as a trails fan – going to pause cold steel for now and go back to the Sky trilogy and crossbell arc next so I can understand the overarching plot better.
March 21 /
Disco Elysium - another highly praised game that I wanted to try. The storytelling definitely lives up to the hype. My one struggle was trying to do everything at once as an “OCD completionist” and the game is designed to have you focus on a character build and resolve the plot in one of many ways. Absolutely one of the best video game endings ever and left me very satisfied. The lore was excellent and I spent much time after completing the game just reading the wiki and understanding the in-game history.
March 29 /
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX - got this on sale so decided to play the remake as I enjoyed the original on the GBA. Very fun, more casual dungeon crawler with some pokemon mechanics (in terms of stats, move sets). The post-game additions are very nice with inclusion of new pokemon forms, mega evolutions, etc.
April 21 /
Samurai Warriors 5 - this was my mindless hack n’ slash, “treadmill game” that I would play while working out most nights. I’ve also been a big fan of the musou series (have played almost all of them). SW5 felt like a nice refresh of the samurai/sengoku timeline. Character roster was smaller but had less repeat movesets, and not as many gimmicks (ex: hyrule warriors w/ boss shields and specific mechanics, etc). ended up 100% all the stages and characters.
April 26 /
Pokemon Shining Pearl - here’s a controversial statement: out of all the pokemon gens, 4 (diamond/pearl/platinum) was actually my least favourite growing up, and I didn’t like the first impression of the old 2D style so I actually put off this game until I heard the glowing reviews and found this game on a steep discount. I think I had a lot more fun playing this remake than the original DP, mostly from the improved AI and increased difficulty. Cynthia and the elite 4 had a near competitive team (I think some of the smogon people helped contribute to the movesets?) and my final battle against Cynthia (both 1st encounter and rematch) was adrenaline inducingly close.
May 1 /
Control - got this for free on Epic I think? Didn’t know what to expect but heard good reviews. Essentially this takes place in a government bureau in the 1970s, where your MC has psychic powers and is trying to find her brother. Gameplay was very fun and smooth. I did not have a ray tracing card at this point but I’ve heard it’s one of the best RTX showcases. Ended up having a lot of fun.
May 26 /
Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning - The OG had good reviews and I found this at a steep sale for $16 so I thought why not. Oof. I think this was the one game I played in 2022 that I would NOT recommend. Basically it’s an action/rpg from the mid 2000s (think fable) and in my personal opinion I don’t think it aged well. Combat was serviceable but too repetitive after the first few hours. Loot (think diablo style rarities) was too uniform and kind of boring. Plot was… meh.
June 2 /
Pathfinder Kingmaker - Another free epic game. This was my first pathfinder experience and having some 3.5 dnd knowledge was helpful. The story was decent, companion characters were mostly interesting. Variety of pathfinder classes and builds were a huge plus. Unfortunately the mandatory kingdom management aspect felt forced at times and slowed down the pacing. The difficulty felt slightly unbalanced at times, with the difficulty spikes in the beginning and very end, and the middle 80% being facerolling easy (or perhaps I did not build my characters very well).
June 11 /
Disgaea 6 - ah yes, the infinitely grind cRPG where your characters and items go up to levels 9999+. I know this game was controversial in that it simplified a lot of the mechanics and classes, but I mostly enjoyed it. The story was charming and I felt some of the mechanics were easier to get into.
June 21 /
Halo CE, 2, 3, 4, 5, infinite - played through the master chief collection on gamepass so I won’t go into excessive details, but wanted to note a few thoughts on each. The OG halo 1/combat evolved holds a special place in my heart from middle school LAN parties. I remembered the layout for most of the maps, but can certainly see how they do not age well from a game design perspective. Halo 2 remastered was very nostalgic and playing it back to back made the improvements very noticeable compared to the first game. This was actually the last Halo I played as a kid so anything forward is new to me. Halo 3 had nice level designs and some of the best story telling. Halo 4 was… okay, probably the weakest of the series for me. I enjoyed the new faction but the enemies felt too bullet spongy. Halo 5 felt different and more of a modern co-op shooter. Halo infinitely was amazing and felt smooth. Open world was a drag at times, but the rpg-light elements made the experience richer.
July 2 /
DBZ Kakarot - very similar to old DBZ budokai and other “fighter-light” games based off the anime. The visuals were top notch, and seeing some of the most iconic dbz moments in 1080p cell-shading was a treat. I got some of the DLCs that came with it, and liked how it incorporated the first few seasons of DB super into the game. Highly recommended for any DBZ fan, but otherwise an okay/decent game.
July 4 /
Maneater - probably one of the most “casual” games I’ve played all year. A short 10ish hour romp as a mutant shark going around chomping people and boats. Had some RPG/upgrade elements which drew me in.
July 23 /
Ys XI - I was a huge fan of Ys 8 a couple of years back so I got this. 9 had a darker, more “gothic” setting and plot. The map was a lot smaller than the island setting in 8, and didn’t give as much of a sense of exploration. Your party members also seemed more generic in 9. For some reason the performance seemed slightly clunkier with frame drops (also played 8 on the switch) and it crashed at times. Hoping Ys 10 will have more monumental leaps.
July 24 /
Street Fighter IV - as a fighting game noob I struggled through the campaigns. Mostly wanted to play through each character’s stories to be familiar with the new roster.
Aug 23 /
Plague Tale Innocence - had this game from a bundle for years and finally decided to try it. Really enjoyed the 14th century Europe setting. Narrative driven single player action/adventure with some stealth elements and puzzle solving mixed in. The difficulty was not too bad that I progressed nicely. Overall story was fairly unique.
Sept 9 /
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - I LOVED the prior XC games, and this was probably my most anticipated game of the year. Quickly sunk about 100h into it and completely just about all the side quests. XC3 does a great job of slowly integrating each new combat mechanic overtime that it does not feel overwhelming. This was a true masterpiece in terms of art direction, gameplay, soundtrack (top notch!!), and overall polish of an amazing switch game. My only complaint is that the story’s crescendo/emotional highpoint occurs about 70% into the game, and it slowly fizzles out in comparison at the end.
Sept 13 /
Horizon Forbidden West - was lucky enough to finally get a PS5 after being in queue for over a year. I enjoyed the original Horizon and wanted to play the sequel. This game is graphically stunning on the PS5. New weapons were really fun to take down the giant mechanical enemies. Unfortunately I feel like I personally got “open-world fatigue” in the past few years so I only did the main story and about half the side quests. Horizon 2 added some interesting plot directions that kept me interested for most of the campaign.
Sept 26 /
Triangle Strategy - was debating between getting Live-a-live and ended up getting TS instead. This cRPG feels very similar to FF tactics, uses a turn-based grid system. I agree with the common review that “characters feel like chess pieces” and each filled its own role in battle instead of having a lot of customizability. The maps and combat encounters are very well designed and forces you to really think about unit deployment and placement. The plot is a little bit slow to start, and some of the dialogue is needlessly wordy. I ended up doing two runs to get the “golden path” which was very satisfying. Unfortunately by your second run, your characters can get a bit overpowered and break the difficulty unless you play on a harder setting.
Oct 7 /
Deathloop - unfortunately Arkane did a poor job of marketing this game and even after watching several reviews, I didn’t fully understand the time-travel mechanics until I actually played it myself. In short, it is very similar to an FPS/rogue-lite where you make incremental progress in a series of mini-boss fights, while ultimately ending up in a linear story path. I think sadly the “open ended play how you want” spin was somewhat misleading and may have turned off a lot of people. Overall the gun play was very smooth, and a lot of classic dishonored powers such as teleport make a return.
Oct 14 /
Total War Shogun 2 - was lucky enough to finally upgrade from an RX 480 to an RTX 3060 this year, and the first game I choose to test it out was… TW shogun 2 and the fall of the samurai expansion. In some ways older (especially gunpower era) TW games have a special place in my heart, although it felt hard going back to an older game with less sophisticated AI diplomacy. For the base game, yari ashigaru are definitely OP and I tried to stay away from the temptation of spamming those but was completely caught off guard by the realm divide late game and nearly wiped. In FotS, I tried to ally with the americans early on and completely dominated the seas with my ironclad and foreign rifle units. I thought the factions (imperial vs reformist) system in late game worked much better and encouraged team play.
Oct 26 /
FFXIV Stormblood - restarted FF14 and subbed for the first time after finishing the heavensward free trial last year. Overall the community was very friendly for an MMO and it was easy learning (relearning) a lot of the mechanics as a sprout. Played mainly bard and mechanist for this expansion and it took me nearly the first 200 hours to finally learn my rotation and be able to look away from my toolbar. For the expansion itself, I thought the new eastern regions were very well done, and really enjoyed the new cast introduced. It definitely felt like the story started to pick up compared to the base ff14 and prior expansion.
Nov 2 /
Trials of Mana Remake - picked this up based on recommendations and was not disappointed. It is rare to find a simple JRPG that lets to jump right into the action within the first 30 minutes without a huge plot dump or teach you a dozen mechanics. I never played the SNES original but felt this remake was very polished and modernised. The combat is a mixture of light/heavy attacks, some basic combos, spells, skills, but has a surprising amount of depth as the game progresses.
Nov 19 /
Far Cry 5 - wanted something different and this was on gamepass so I said why not. I have played through every single assassins’ creed games and felt very burnt out after 120+ hours on Valhalla so FC5 was a refreshing surprise. The map is much smaller and the liberation mechanic pushes you along the main story path just from engaging with the game in any way you like. It felt like a rare ubisoft open world that was more respectful of your time. I know the ending is controversial but I did not mind it at all.
Nov 23 /
FFXIV Shadowbringer - continued into my 2nd month of subs for ff14 and mainly played the ShB expansion this month. The writing quality takes a major leap forward in this exp thanks to Ishikawa being promoted as a main writer.
Dec 4 /
COD Vanguard - played my annual COD campaign thanks to the library having a copy of this. (have kept up the tradition and completed every COD campaign since COD 1 in 2003!) This was one of the shortest COD campaigns but the pacing felt excellent. The missions flowed nicely from one to the other where you play as an alternate universe special ops allied team in the mid 1940s. Some of the characters were oddly likeable, unlike most modern CODs. Trying to install the game however, was a complete pain in the arse as it required a mandatory multiplayewarzone update first that was nearly 70 GBs. But I understand that I am not the target audience…
Dec 9 /
FFXIV Endwalker - ended up finishing the conclusion of the FF14 storyline and started the 6.2 patch stories. Even those most of the community says Shb> EW story I felt endwalker was wayyyy better and had some epic hype moments that make me tear up. In fact, the last 80 hours of endwalker I felt like ugly sobbing because of how connected I felt with some of the storyline NPCs that have been with you for the last 300+ hours. I also started some alt jobs such as summoner and scholar, tried healing in duties (dungeons) for the first time and found myself surprisingly competent. Will likely take a pause for now and resub when the next exp comes out in 1-2 years.
Dec 12 /
Pokemon Scarlet - I’m sure most of you have seen the glitch memes all over the internet now. So yes, sadly scarlet/violet is complete performance jank, but also some of the most fun I’ve had playing pokemon in decades. I love a ton of the new pokemon designs (shoutout to cat starter line, poop beetle, sushi/chef combo, etc). The open world was decently implemented as it feels rewarding to explore without littering your map with endless collectables. Some of the caves/mountains integrate verticality quite well and really add to the sense of adventure. The biggest surprise is that this gen of pokemon game actually added some storyline plot, and the ending of the game was jaw-droppingly awesome.
Dec 16 /
Sakuna of Rice and Ruin - probably my first ever platformer, and first ever farming sim (two genres that I don’t usually go into) but heard strong reviews w/ RPG elements. Basically you are a minor deity (of rice) that gets banished from the higher realms to an island to grow rice, and your stats are connected to the growth of the rice. At first everything feels awful and the game is intentionally vague on instructions so you end up bumbling around a lot and learn by trial and error. I was making crawling progress in my first FIVE years of the game and almost gave up when everything suddenly clicked. The raiment which (basically grappling hook) initially felt clunky suddenly became second nature and I was cutting through higher levelled enemies with ease.
Ongoing games at this moment: working on plague’s tale requiem (much harder than the first!) and mario rabbids spark of hope at this time. We are leaving to visit relatives on holiday so I will likely not complete anything else for the year. In 2023 I am looking forward to ff16, diablo 4, trails of the sky trilogy, and god of war ragnarok once it goes on sale. Oh! And will likely jump back to runescape 3 when necromancy (new skill is released)
If you’ve gotten this far, thanks for reading! Happy to answer any questions about any of them.
My top lists of the year would probably be:
- Best story: FF14 endwalker, followed by Disco Elysium as a very close 2nd.
- Best music: Xenoblade Chronicles 3
- Best gameplay/”fun” factor: I could not in good conscious give this to pokemon scarlet because the performance/glitches were so awful, so probably sakuna of rice and ruin
- FF14 again… I think at this point I am obsessed and won’t know what to do once my sub runs out lol!

2022.12.23 19:21 ScaredBlue First build in 8+ years, seeking AMD vs Intel build advice
Build Help/Ready:
Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do) Yes.
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. Primarily gaming, I play FF14 and WoW occasionally, but primarily pay large RPG games like Cyberpunk 2077. I have an Oculus Rift S, which would be nice to use here and there, not a requirement though. Mainly want to be able to run whatever I throw at it, at close to max settings, and not have to worry about performance.
For example playing Cyberpunk 2077 on my 8 year old computer is barely possible, I have to use 'potato quality' mods and shaders to get ok performance at very low quality. I want to have to not worry about that sort of thing anymore, and see the true beauty of these titles.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings) 1920 x 1080, 144hz, 60+fps, ultra/max game settings
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)? ~$1,600 - $1,700
In what country are you purchasing your parts? USA.
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).
Hey all!
I’ve built all of my PC’s in the past, but it’s been almost 8-9 years since I built one. It’s definitely showing its age, and I am in dire need of a new system. While I work in IT (Cybersecurity), I haven’t paid attention to the hardware side of things for some time, and have to admit I’m a bit overwhelmed hopping back in.
I’ve done a bunch of research, using logical increments, PC part picker, and review websites… but I think that just made me more overwhelmed!
Eventually I whittled it all down to two lists, one Intel and one AMD.
So far I’m leaning towards my AMD list, as it’s lower price and I -think- performs pretty much the same as my Intel list. Looking for critique, advice, and technical explanation on why a certain choice may or may not be better. If you have some knowledge to drop, would love to hear!

2022.12.22 00:47 cohenaj1941 Introducing Undercut Alerts via Discord!
Introducing the first working model of our Discord Undercut Alerts!
Made by the "Saddlebag Exchange" team.
The system consists of:
- An in game addon for json data generation. See the addon for screenshots and more info.
- A web http api function#wow-undercut) for undercut checks using the blizzard api data.
- And our discord bot that uses the json data from the addon to automatically run our api function once per hour and send you undercut alert notifications via discord direct message.
The best part is that this system lets you step away from the auction house, log onto an alt or even log out of the game, and our alerts will still monitor your auctions to notify you no matter where you are!
We are currently seeking users to try out the system and help us test it out.
If you are interested join our discord and we will help you set up the alerts. How this works:
Using the
in game addon open up the auction house window and navigate to your auctions. There will be a button to open the
"Saddlebag Exchange" panel. Click the button to open the panel, then click the
"Get Undercut Alert Data" button to generate your auction json data. Highlight the text this creates and copy this to your clipboard.
Next you will go over to our discord and send this data to
our discord bot and using the
"/wow register" or
"/wow update" commands. These commands will create a pop up window in discord with a text box so you can paste in the json data from the addon.
The bot will then save this json data and use it to run
our undercut alerts api function#wow-undercut). The results of the undercut alert check will be sent you via discord direct message.
Usage Notes and Info:
We only support US and EU retail at the moment, but we can easily add in different regions and WoW Classic data if we have enough people requesting undercut alerts for Classic.
Do note that
this is a price level monitor not a full undercut check. The system is not exactly like common undercut tools you may be familiar with such as TSM or Auctionator, which scan the auction house while you are in the auction house menu.
The api data does not contain seller names, seller ids or any personal/character info. So this system will not detect if your character is undercut at the same price level as your auction. Instead the api and bot detect changes in the price of any item you are auctioning. It will then detect if your auctions are in one of 3 states:
- Undercut! - If the price level of your auction is in the api data and it is not the lowest price you are likely undercut.
- Not Undercut - If the price level of your auction is in the api data and it is the lowest price you are likely not undercut. This information is not sent to you via discord alert to reduce spam.
- Sold, Expired or Not Found - If the price level on one of your auctions is not found then that means one of 3 things. Either the item sold or expired along with all other auctions at that same price level. Otherwise if the auction is less than an hour old the price level may not yet be detected and recorded in the blizzard api data.
Do note our system uses
the api data instead of in game data. The api only updates once per hour so the auction data can become out of date for fast moving items like commodities.
When selling commodities its best if you want to place your items at a high price expecting they will sell when buying volume increases the auction prices. For example if you have an auction to sell your
Vibrant Shards at 60.89g and prices are currently 42g, then our system will detect when that 60.89g price level is no longer found in the vibrant shard auction data. This can happen when prices spike and your item sells or when your auction expires before being sold. This is why I recommend using a unique amount of silver to identify your auction price levels and distinguish them from other sellers in the market.
Right now the discord bot commands requires a special tester role in the discord, so if you want to try it out request this by asking
in the discord or DM
indopan#7191 and I will add the role to your user.
Project info and cry for dev help!
For anyone who is interested I just learned Lua a week ago to create this addon and I really don't know it that well, but theres so much I would like to add in. We are experts in using api data for market functions, by comparison addon development is very very new for our team. If any experienced addon devs want to help with the project we would love to have you join us. Our Addon is open sourced and anyone is free to create issues or pull requests.
Also we are seeking developers who know python, mysql or react js for our main website and api that supports several interesting and unique wow trading searches we are in the process of designing.
Last if you have any unique market ideas for wow we are constantly looking for new features to develop so feel free to reach out and see if we can make it a reality!

2022.12.08 16:55 Overseasoned PC blackscreens randomly. PLEASE help I cannot figure this out.
What is your parts list? Consider formatting your parts list. PCPartPicker Part List Describe your problem. List any error messages and symptoms. Be descriptive. I am getting blackscreens, always when I am playing FF14, but other than that it seems to happen when I have chrome open (specifically when watching youtube). When it crashes it will not recover, I have to shut the power to the computer then turn it back on.
List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem. Usually when this happens one of two things shows up in event manager - DWM.exe, or nvlddmkm.sys. I have researched these failures as much as I can but it has me stumped. This is was happening before and after a fresh install of windows 10, AND even after a fresh install of 11. I have used sfcscan, replaced the hard drive, used memtest86 on the ram, tested the vram, and Gigabyte even tested the video card per their warranty procedure and found nothing.

2022.10.19 16:58 shintarojsvd Explaning how Nier/Drakengard is High Comlex multiversal. I Searched the depths of Yoko Taro lore to find this
| Hello there my name is Shintarojsvd nice to meet you all. Today I'm going to be talking about how NieDrakengard is High Complex Multi now. NieDrakengard series is known for having multiple ending routes that lead to other games here's a small in the nutshell explanation which routes lead to what which goes to the segment of explaining the timeline Timeline: Drakengard 3 Route A leads to Drakengard 1 https://youtu.be/cI9bLQMgvNA Drakengard 1 Route A leads to drakengard 2 https://youtu.be/EKSQpDj6IhE this is the route and timeline of Drakengard and how does it lead to nier? Drakengard route E leads to NieNier replicant https://youtu.be/6OPW-RdzStA NieNier Replicant Route D leads to Automata https://youtu.be/7hn3HuYt0R8 This is how the timeline is in a nutshell but you probably noticed why i said routes well basically endings. Wheres BCE etc. well here's the Explanation the Multiple-World Divergence Phenomenon: when a group of "singularities" (most commonly special sentient beings) come together, splits occur in a timeline of events. This phenomenon has affected the course of events in Midgard for generations to come. This phenomenon started when the world of drakengard also known as midgard was effectively created when, in AD 856 on the Iberian Peninsula, a great city appeared from the sky, along with mysterious beings known as dragons and Watchers. which led to the phenomenons happening. which also explains the branches. In drakengard 3 we learn why there's multiple branches and someone out there records them and they dub drakengard 3's singularity singularity zero https://preview.redd.it/7riqh16eqru91.jpg?width=685&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=165cce103fc8868208d1fc8fa98ebfd35b10552c Accord is an android/robot being that travels between many of the routes and we see her tell the story and recorded the events and singularities. she does die in route D of drakengar 3 but. Watch this clip: https://youtu.be/SyJsLQdX11Q Theres multiple accords following an unknown creator and shes form the catherial city https://drakengard.fandom.com/wiki/Cathedral_City S when ever any NIeDrakengard Multiple-World Divergence Phenemenon happens there's going to be an accord recording that timelines events. She shows up in Nier replicant/Nier and Automta do its blink and you miss it moments but they are written down in Yonah notebooks in the loading screens https://preview.redd.it/k6xobd79rru91.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d65b8e70a7904632e051251a41f3b3aebf78699 Now why is accord important? what is the multi divergence phenomon important you ask? well everything is canon to niedrakengard the phenomenon makes anything become possible as it leads into alternative worlds and many different versions of the stories we are told which leads to crossovers Ok i feel like i lost you there here's my first of two big examples on the topic https://preview.redd.it/31qybpwqrru91.jpg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6ef4193dd3c22c4351a8e18e28284d84eb673e9 Nier Reincarnation is a mobile gacha game that yoko taro made (the creator of drakengard/nier) in the setting of reincarnation we play as a little girl in white named Fino and walk around this area called the cage. The cage can be linked to many different worlds across space and time as its a place you can reach via dreaming. Fino finds herself here dreaming and fights monsters called Dark Monsters. These Monsters come and eat and devours peoples dreams and when they do they take over a persons body when enough dreams are devoured. Well reincarnation is canonically the sequel to automata but where in the timeline i just explained a small nutshell of where it takes? we don't know. Now you may ask why is this game important? well here's a small weird explanation with a past crossover The Nier crossover with FFXIV is canon. Seeds of Destruction appear in Norvrandt and spawn the white androids like 2P. 9S and 2B show up to stop them, and most believe they used the seeds of destruction to do so. It's a bit unclear if they literally travelled between the worlds a la DoD1 or if the seed created copies that somehow weren't hellbent on causing the apocalypse. I'm leaning towards they literally traveled but as with most things DoD, it's up to interpretation. With the ending E, and Kaine holding NieR on the flower, as well as the administrator's mentioning multiple timelines blending with the current one, I think they created a timeline where humans aren't dead. NieR was THE gestalt, and with him dead, no humans. We aren't told if the replicant or human NieR is the one brought back. the drakengard world is where maso aka magic comes from. Humans aren't dropping like flies in their world due to white chlorination syndrome like they did in NieR's. Obviously thousands of years have past, but if beings from Drakengard could enter our world. How they traveled to others worlds isn't explained well but it is possible due to the event being canon and why we can see many different versions of many characters around. Why does reincarnation have to do with all of these? it's case the cage is the divine tree https://www.reddit.com/NieRReincarnation/comments/ph7it7/theory_the_cage_is_sleeping_beauty_aka_the_divine/ this is a cool theory that i found that i belive in that can explain some things. But at the same time the cage also explains other things related to the world of NieDrakengard. why weapons have stories. The cage is also just accords weapon warehouse weapons in niedrakengard have stories within them and are actually just secreatly people. So what crossovers do we have that are canon to NieDrakengard in reincarnation the sequel game to automata?. https://preview.redd.it/yk3sz1t2vru91.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46a3ca7a57c6716f79be4967fd27d876261af53c https://preview.redd.it/4zc7bnl4vru91.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7ecb16e5670fa6f725f34d7b52a7c7f89da0ffb4 https://preview.redd.it/lwpnmi26vru91.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa15ab2ce290ea4a14c5073bbbffc363e5001db8 the white looking 2b is 2p https://preview.redd.it/vbdqeddcvru91.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76a0a3d9f56adeb8c6ef61cbdaf1052135874966 https://preview.redd.it/zjghr94evru91.jpg?width=710&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=430b916323eb7d13e13f828bc48e879aed10e425 You must be thinking wtf why am i using crossovers? well again if you don't wanna believe in the cage is the divine tree theory. that's fine as there's other stuff i explained earlier why its possible as the ff14 crossover and the Multiple-World Divergence Phenomenon. where the hell does accord fit in this? again reincarnations area is just her weapon storage warehouse. now ik i sound crazy but here's another canon big wish the second big one the meat why i wanted to make this post the reason why I'm fuckng crazy https://preview.redd.it/5h5zhzocwru91.jpg?width=288&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f9459c1fa9e6dfb9723d97adf2e8ff2134093de SinoAlice the second gacha game that yoko taro does. oh boy were do i begin with? well instead of explaining a lot of the same stuff I'm going to send the crossovers https://preview.redd.it/fbo88ebjwru91.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=def80550d69df43041175c380e8c5a8498e40fb9 https://preview.redd.it/joflaiokwru91.jpg?width=1010&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a81598af502ed8842a27277bcc29dbc8fbb5f9f7 https://preview.redd.it/nv8l2b4swru91.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=fec16810340af2e92aba074587fece91f520ca3e https://preview.redd.it/awnvhfdswru91.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a90b7f8baf7915d9db533054381aaaeacbf08729 https://preview.redd.it/fjctow0vwru91.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a13d577b80753cd1d7a496e9959ddcc23943f540 https://preview.redd.it/6a3ud8bxwru91.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74ff266e312ee74dc4c5f6f2441eb9d492ba70bc https://preview.redd.it/tub4qdp0xru91.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3115e46ddafea9a506f22d267937f83acd25d2b9 https://preview.redd.it/y6kxzja2xru91.png?width=800&format=png&auto=webp&s=3fcfd97570a1ebb15f5aae6cfd40600a75fd71d0 yes ik Kakeguri, Slime, Code Geass, Dc, Black Butler, Higurashi, and Final Fantasy again? why does this related to Niedraken? what does this game have to do with anything?! https://preview.redd.it/u6qop28exru91.jpg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=497fecf9e82843b0f88356ba0ac274e602011f01 https://preview.redd.it/yz84keaixru91.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e05baf4cab35cff7fa216fefa017d48fc176e8e7 This is why. so hear me out i think i understand how some other versions of 9s and 2b can be in crossovers. its due to sinoalice. the world of sinoalice is just huge like huge! in the world of sinoalice characters of fictional fairy tail and stories are aware they are fictional and can travel to other worlds by going into someone else's story no they don't break the fourth wall deadpool and pinkie pie style no toon force from my knowledge. well this is cause the world of sinoalice is called the Libeary where forgotten stories/stories of dead authors and living authors and ones that don't even exist yet are all collected here in the library of sinoalice. and the character of sinoalice fight beings called nightmares and well they are what they are monsters called nightmares that appear in peoples stories and the characters of sinoalice fight them and kill as many as possible for Two dolls that can bring their wish imma not bore you all to death further and so hears a introduction further explaining what i can how niedrakengard is related https://accords-library.com/news/introduction-to-sinoalice yes accord is playable in sinoalice and yes she interacts with the characters and again due to the Multiple-World Divergence Phenomenon the events in sinoalice of niedrakengard are canon. anything related to Niedrakengard is related to their verse So why High Complex Multi? Well its due to them being able to keep up and fight along side with The slime cast and mainly Rimaru as they have interacted with them and fought them and along side them as well as the phantom thiefs I'm aware Joker can go Uni-Outer and Rimaru can be Complex multi-Outer i say High Complex multi is the perfect middle ground for NieDrakengard when involving these two characters. How can it be used? Honestly this all canon cause of the Multiple-World Divergence Phenomenon yes but if you don;t believe in the scaling for niedrakengard being this high that's perfectly fine you can treat it as dissidia scalig as an option for the niedrakengard mu's but there's also a lot of evidence backing this up but yeah you can treat it as optional so it won't ruin a lot of the NieDrakengard mu's out there Why i deep dived into NieDrakengard? well i know this should be in here but i wanted t talk about it and my journey through it and what compelled me to bring this up I did it for Nier Vs Traveler (Nier Replicant Vs Genshin Impact) i created this mu for both characters as i do want them to have a great opponents that compliment their stories and them as characters and it's been nearly a year since i created this mu as of this time and it smy most wanted and I'm very emotionally attached to it as i wanted to go in and see how strong both the characters are and i fell into a rabbit hole of both hoyoverse and Yoko verse and honestly it was fun and taxing but i did it for this mu and explored every literal out come and possibility for both characters due to my love and appreciation to both games as they helped me out through tough times in my life https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UXgKwSpGEQ5_40vyoShzajUeId8BDkNA2YIljePSvZ0/edit?usp=sharing here's a doc with its animation potential and connections as i also wanna take the time to spread this mu that i deeply care for and want to see animated one day. submitted by shintarojsvd to DeathBattleMatchups [link] [comments] |
2022.09.29 01:07 succulentmeoff CPU upgrade to intel 12th gen from Ryzen 1600, build ready seeking advice before buying
Build Help/Ready:
Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do) Yes!
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. Looking to play newer but not necessary brand new games. Mostly play FF14 and single player RPGs. I need it for 4k video editing as my current CPU is not cutting it, incredibly laggy while editing in the timeline.
Currently my PC has R5 1600, B350 tomahawk mobo, RTX 3060 Ti, 16gb RAM, 650W PSU, 1TB HDD, 1TB M2 SSD.
Last year I purchased a 3060 Ti and 650W PSU to replace my dead RX 480 and inadequate 450W PSU, so those cannot change. I would like to keep my fractal define R4 case as well but open to getting a smaller one that's as good as the R4.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings) I have two 1440p 165hz monitors. Would like to play with RTX on and as high settings as I can with at least 60fps, of course higher the better, if anything I prioritize fps over graphics. I want to be able to edit 4k video without any slowdown, especially when skimming through footage and cutting.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)? I'd like to keep it under $1000.
In what country are you purchasing your parts? Canada
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/PBmRk9 PCPartPicker Part List Provide any additional details you wish below. UPDATE: Thank you all for the responses I bought a 5600 for $189 CAD and updated my BIOS. MUCH cheaper alternative than what I was thinking of doing, it won't be as powerful for video editing but it should be a big improvement over what I currently have.

2022.09.11 00:55 Nosdarb Make your own FF14 raid.
I was poking around and found this post on the FF14 sub:
https://old.reddit.com/ffxiv/comments/xarjel/build_your_own_ffxiv_raid/ The infographic is super sarcastic... but also it seems legitimately great. Like, maybe if you run a lot of FF14 raids you would understand how annoying it is. But I don't, and all I see is a bunch of predefined mechanics that I can use to build boss encounters. It's a starting point, and I'd want to spend some time with the FF14 wiki to make sure I understood everything, but I think it's a great tool.
Anyway, I thought some people in this community might also see some value in it. So ... go check it out.

2022.08.08 01:12 freedom4556 Time Passage in Eorzea
I was poking around on mining nodes on
the wiki, and a thought occurred to me... The in-game clock can be used to determine how much time has passed since 2.0 launch. So I did some quick math and:
Official service began on 8/26/2013 and it is 8/7/2022 at time of posting. This is a time period of 3288 Earth days. One Earth day is 1440 minutes. One Day in Eorzea is 70 minutes: 3288 * 1440 / 70 = 67638⁶⁄₇ Eorzean days since 2.0. There are 32 days in an Eorzean month, and 12 months in an Eorzean year (
lunar calendar). (3288 * 1440 / 70) / (32 * 12) = 176⅐
So, by the in-game clock, it has been 176⅐ Eorzean years since the start of 2.0.
You can thank the plot of
Log Horizon for this fridge thought.
