Constructive comments welcome for people who have experience with building using the current gen Ryzen in the last couple months.
My setup is as follows:
Old components being reused:

Not planning on OCing the CPU, but I do intend to make the RAM run at 6000 if possible since that makes sense.
I've heard i need to update the Bios to the newest version before I install the CPU. I've heard about the exploding CPUs and from what I've heard, the newest version is supposed to make it so i don't have to double check the voltages etc for the dangerous overvoltages?
How is working with Expo?
I've had experience doing manual OCs before on CPUs but I'm not familiar with these automated tools.

Not sure if this is the best community for this topic so please point me in the right direction if there is proper place.
To start, I’m admittedly not too familiar with Apple devices and iOS/iPadOS in general. I’m having an issue with the iPad my wife is using and I want to see if anyone can help get to the bottom of it. I’ve done a bit of searching and have applied what I do know, none of which seems to get us anywhere.
Its an 6th Gen iPad with Wi-Fi, and has been running fine up until recently. I’m not sure exactly when it started but the network speed on the iPad has just plummeted down to almost nothing. It struggles to load even the simplest websites. Other devices on the network are working just fine, I have a PC and my Android phone getting 200+ Mb/s down and my wife’s iPhone pulling similar speeds. These devices, along with the iPad are all on our 5GHz network. We have cameras on the 2.4 GHz network that are working fine as well. Recently, the iPad will pull anywhere from 0.5 to maybe 4-6Mb/s on average. Same story if we move it over to 2.4 which I expect to be lower anyway, just not that low. For fun, I tried to hotspot my phone (connected to the 5GHz network) and the iPad started pulling ~160Mb/s but slowly went back down to nothing once I tried to run a system update (I think I was trying to go from 1.6.3 to 1.6.5 or something similar). Google hasn’t been much help but here’s what I’ve tried so far.
- Rebooted the Wi-Fi router
- Rebooted the iPad
- Reset network settings on the iPad
- Reset the entire iPad from backup
- Deleted the backup and reset the entire iPad again to start from nothing.
After the final reset, we tested it and it was pulling 200+ Mb/s like normal so we thought it was fixed but again last night it was back around 0.5Mb/s. So, it seems capable of being fast, its just not thrilled about doing it for long.
The only time I got somewhere was when google pointed me in the direction of the WMM setting on the router. The post mentioned something along the lines of having better luck with that disabled even though Apple states that it should be enabled for proper use. Sure enough, WMM is enabled on my router and disabling seemed to boost speeds on the 5GHz network to around 30-60Mb/s down (better but not what we should be getting). The downside to this was that phone, which was getting 200+ tanked down to around 20-40 if I’m remember that correctly, so that was quickly enabled again which sent everything right back to the way it was before, fast phones, slow iPad.
At this point I can’t think of anything else to try, our bedroom shares a wall with the room containing the router, so its not a distance limitation thing, in fact, when we tested it after the full reset, we were downstairs far away from the router. The iPad is clearly capable of hitting those high speeds on 5GHz since it does it after it was fully reset. I’ve checked for a few settings I saw in some posts about the iCloud backup and how that could be slowing it down, however those settings were already disabled when I checked (can’t remember exactly what they were now).
Any advice or ideas of other things to try would be greatly appreciated.

As I mentioned back in this post, the Flag Initiative will be hosting some events, and tabling at different locations for the public feedback period.
But first, we will be extending public feedback until Saturday, June 10th, to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to send in their comments. However, the rest of the timeline has not changed. We are still planning on presenting a finalist to the Common Council next week Wednesday, June 14th. I will let you know if this changes.
Otherwise, throughout this week we will be holding flag raising ceremonies featuring physical copies of the semifinalist designs! Here are the dates and times for each one:

Here are all of the new US CHAdeMO (Leaf fast-charging) stations that rolled out in May 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
There were 124 "new" CHAdeMOs added in May. To put it in perspective, there were 112 CHAdeMO chargers added in April. I think the pace of CHAdeMO rollout has stabilized, while the pace of CCS rollout is still increasing. This makes sense given that only Nissan still makes a CHAdeMO car.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
We all know that CHAdeMO is a legacy format and will eventually go away, but clearly Nissan and their partners are continuing to support it for the time being. This shouldn't be surprising. After all, you can still buy a new Leaf.

"What about CCS charging at Tesla superchargers?" Tesla is in the process of rolling out their "magic dock" for non-Tesla cars, but so far in very few locations. If they start doing this at scale and reporting it to the Alternative Fuels Data Center then it will be reflected here.
"What about Ford vehicles with NACS (Tesla) plugs?" They are not on sale yet. Current-generation Ford vehicles have CCS plugs. The next generation will have NACS (Tesla) plugs, but will also support CCS via an adapter.

This time on the acceptance screen it said "May need returns" has anyone seen this before? This is the third one I've gotten and I've just seen it as a glitch. Little background: my husband and I are moving to nyc this summer. As of now he works 100% remote, though he is open to exploring new roles. I work remote usually but I have an office in midtown that I plan to go to a couple times a week.
Option 1: - Brooklyn, Boerum Hill area on 4th Ave, 7th floor, facing the back of the building - 1 bedroom - brand new building - furnished rooftop deck with great views - balcony with nice views - decent gym - commute to my office is ~35 minutes with no transfers - dishwasher, no in-unit laundry but in the building
Option 2: - Astoria, on Broadway, 6th floor - 2 bedrooms - building is 5 years old - technically has a “rooftop deck,” but not really- it’s just an empty roof, but has decent views - 2 balconies with views of a construction site (see below) - no gym, but a couple gyms very close by - commute to my office is ~25 minutes with 1 transfer - dishwasher, no in-unit laundry but in the building - annually this is about $3800 more than the Brooklyn one
Other tidbits: My biggest issue with the Astoria one is that the unit is facing a building that is currently under construction and the landlord doesn’t know how long the construction will last. Obviously that means noise is a concern but I’m also not super thrilled about looking at a half finished building from my windows/balconies.
The aesthetic and finishes are nicer in the Brooklyn one. That isn’t a super important factor to me but I thought I’d mention it anyways.
Both units have 3 closets total.
