In the chess game that is best-in-class ratings, the 2022 Ram 2500 rises above rival heavy-duty trucks with their unmatched ride quality and luxury options. The largest Rams boast massive max towing and engine-torque figures—they can pull up to 37,100 pounds, and their Cummins diesel makes up to 1075 lb-ft of torque. Plus, neither the Ford nor the heavy-duty Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra ride as smoothly or are as elegant as the fanciest Rams.

chrome://settings/help says "Chrome is up to date. To get future Google Chrome updates, you'll need macOS 10.15 or later. This computer is using macOS 10.14. Learn more. Version 114.0.5735.106 (Official Build) (x86_64)".
Learn More's link takes me to
https://support.google.com/chrome/answe95346#zippy=%2Cmac that says "To use Chrome on Mac, you'll need: macOS High Sierra 10.13 and up".
I'm confused! Which one is correct? Also, I can't upgrade to newer macOS due to very old 32-bit apps that are still used in this 2012 MBP.
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

2023.06.07 20:50 Laxativelog Just found out I'm effectively trapped in the apartment I've been in for the last 8 years.
Saw a notification briefly pop up on my phone about a "final chance to sign the new lease at a lower rate" which was confusing because I'm month to month and haven't signed a lease since I moved in.
Couldn't find anything in the app the management company uses so I popped into the office.
Now I know I've had a good deal here. Rent has increased from $930-1040 for a 2 bedroom in 8 years which is unheard of. I dunno if I fell through the cracks or what but I've counted my blessings where they are.
Rent is increasing to around $1250. Sucks but it's been a long time coming.
However here is the catch. When the dude at the office pulled up my account he double hand held his head saying "that's what you're paying????".
He's a good dude and I said I knew it was pretty good and this is the cheapest place around.
He then said I didn't realize how good it was.
New Tennants?
They are coming in the door at $2100.
What?
WHAT???
I have wallpaper from the 80s!!!!
He said they were still the cheapest around even than and I asked what the rates were at another group down the road.
He pulled up their listings.
$2500 - $5900.
FOR TWO BEDROOMS.
I literally cannot leave where I am. And if they decide to rocket catch up my over the next few years now?
I'm already working 50-60 hours a week depending.
I don't understand.
$5900 for an apartment lmfao.
Can't afford a house and apparently I wouldn't be able to afford an apartment either if I was new to the area.
We're so fucked.

2023.06.07 20:48 Scryptiid Find a tuner or learn to tune myself?
TLDR - Is it a terrible idea to learn tuning and tune my turbo car myself? Or should I really take the time to find a tuner even if I have no history with them, and they have little experience with my specific model?
Hello all. I’ve got a Z32 with a TT swap/conversion (honestly don’t know which, working on identifying). Bigger turbos, injectors, manifolds, full exhaust, upgrade IC and intake piping, and other mods. It runs and drives great on a chipped ECU currently with an external electronic boost controller. However, I’d like to add some functionality (boost by gear, better idle control), better monitoring, and engine protection. Might also like a DBW conversion and conversion to MAP instead of a MAF.
I also am concerned about leaving it running on a 33-year old ECU, and having isolated systems rather than centralized management.
None of the local tuners are very familiar with the platform. I’ve talked to some shops further away that do specialize in the Z32 but I’ve not been able to get any clear recommendations on whether or not I should use a standalone ECU.
There are local shops willing, but they openly admit they don’t work with this chassis/engine often. Nearly all the shops and tuners except two suggest Haltech. One has suggested Link, the other told me they have no interest in swapped cars. Some self-tuners, vendors, and others have told me Link is the better option between the two. Both tuning platforms have good options for this car (Elite 2500 with adapter or G4X plug-in).
With the kinda lackluster information and response I’ve gotten from tuners, I’m honestly wondering how hosed I would be if I chose to take the time to learn tuning concepts and knowledge myself, and eventually tune the car myself. I believe I’m capable, but I’m also wary of making a serious mistake because of what I don’t know. Based on what I’ve been told, and my basic understanding of functionality, I’d probably choose to use the Link ECU myself.
How bad an idea is this? I know how valuable experience is, and I don’t have it. But I have time, patience, and I enjoy learning. I just wonder if I can actually get a solid, reliable result self-tuning, especially without access to a dyno. I have relatively solid mechanical experience, some electrical, and I’d like to believe I have a good understanding of what is happening with EFI systems. Just don’t know the intricacies, or what all the adjustment truly does. This isn’t a daily, and I can afford to have the car down and out, but certainly don’t want to blow the engine.

2023.06.07 20:37 hippopotomoose Drop Box vanished
On Friday I put a laptop being RMAd in the drop box outside my office that is collected daily at 4pm. I have used it before and seen the driver pick up from it. Waited until Tuesday and tracking shows still not scanned so I went out to check and the entire drop box is completely gone
I called FedEx and they were no help. They said to have the laptop manufacturer who generated the label submit a claim and the manufacturer is saying no we can't help there's no tracking. Both parties do not want to do any work to help out.
How can I get this straightened out? I'm suspecting FedEx had a contractor remove the box but did not pick up from it before it was removed. This is a $2500 laptop that was new so my boss is kinda not happy about this.

2023.06.07 19:43 Valandomar I came up with a simple combo for Chun Li. Is it any good?
I’m new to Street Fighter and I’m having fun exploring combos in practice on Chun Li and I’d like to share one that I think “might” be useful. I apologize if inputs are not written correctly.
qcbHK c.MP into medium-SBK (2520 dmg)
I like it because qcbHK is -1 on block so it feels like a decent starter. I also find the execution to be relatively easy compared to combos that require stance or drive rush. It’s also a gap closer and 2500 damage feels closer to the combos I found on Youtube.
Sorry if the english isn’t very clear.

2023.06.07 19:07 missyoubaby10 Loan from parent
Asking for a friend. Her mother and her decided lets share a camper and seasonal space. They parked moms camper at the seasonal site assuming it would be used by whole family (my friend has 5 siblings). They chipped in for the fees $2500/ year. They then decided to get a new camper at the daughters request (wanted one with bunk beds, etc). Her mother gave her camper to trade in for new one. She traded it in for new camper got $16k for old (2014) camper. The new camper was $45k and a loan for $29k was taken out by daughter. This was in 2018. Shortly after the mother got a new job and didn’t have time to be at the site or enjoy the new camper at all, neither did any of the siblings. Mother is now asking for some money back. 2023.06.07 19:06 PreciousChange82 Grand River Modular - Driving erratically while smoking marijuana in town
I don't normally go out of my way to do this, but a company here in town is having negative reviews removed from google review. I believe they even recreated their company profile because when logged in and going to view my contributions I can see 3 negative reviews. They have a rating of 1/5. When logged out, they were not there. I discovered this because when logged out my review wasn't showing. It had views already too. So I deleted my contribution to resubmit. Sure enough the other comments are gone and they suddenly have 2 positive reviews, both created on the same day.
The prior negative reviews were both about terrible driving.
My first experience with them occurred on May 25th. They had 2 men in a white GMC Sierra (with their logo on the tailgate) on Fischer Hallman. I was behind them with my toddler. There was smoke coming out of their window and the area wreaked of marijuana. We turned on two other streets together. At one point it was just their truck and me. And it was a very strong smell. I looked closely when we were waiting at stop sign and of course the driver was smoking a big fatty! They were chatting and driving a bit erratically (over correcting, too slow, then too fast).
I just think its BS that a company can manipulate things like this. Smoke all the weed you want! But dont get high and drive, and certainly don't drive WHILE getting high.

2023.06.07 19:03 Csai I built an app to help our 6yo daughter learn to read. Would love your feedback and suggestions.
Hello! We started homeschooling during the pandemic and never went back to conventional school (doing a microschool). One of the things we discovered then was how teaching to read was so broken (Listen to Emily Hanford's fabulous podcast
Sold a Story for a deep-dive). There is plenty of good science of reading, but very little has made its way into schools for a variety of reason. Phonics is known to help, but the rigid use of phonics is not great either. After trying many different apps, and reading a ton of literature about the science and neuroscience of reading (I am a neuroscientist by training), I decided to build an app to help with the trickiest part -- getting the right sort of practice. Plenty of good apps start with phonics, but never map out a path to reading using it. Giffie (our app) uses an AI powered Reading tutor to help kids go from phonics all the way to fluent reading comprehension using over 2500 words. We have been testing it along the way the kids in the pod too. We now know from experience that one of the biggest things to help with reading fluency is practice, the right sort of practice. We want to build Giffie to help kids get this, whenever they want it, and wherever. We are just testing out an almost full-scale version and would truly appreciate your feedback. Currently it is on iOS only (Android is a few days away; please ping me if you'd like the Android link!)
We are looking for feedback from 3 to 7 year olds. It is okay if they are just starting to learn ABCs. The first stage in the app would be most useful for pre-readers. For kids who are already reading three-letter words fluently, the early stages in the current version of Giffie may be easy. We’d still love their feedback.
Here is the app test link.
https://testflight.apple.com/join/RNSx2d8l If you haven't tested apps before on your iphone, you'll need to install apple's testflight app which helps users safely test out apps. It is quite easy! Just one click; and you just have to follow the instructions.
Would really appreciate your feedback and suggestions on what we can add to make it more useful. Thank you!

2023.06.07 18:36 Justaddfillets Entry level trail bike for riding in the Appalachians?
I got into mountain biking a little over a year ago. I have a Giant Talon 4 from 2015 that I have been riding. A lot of the trails around me seem to fall into two categories: green is an access road made of dirt or gravel and blue trails are mostly made up of rock gardens. I have ridden almost all the green trails around me and want to get into more technical trails. I have tried riding some of the blue trails but I end up walking most of the trail due to the fact that my bike can't handle it. I have issues with grip, hill climbing, and the vibration from all the rocks.
I'll admit, I'm not in the best shape. Part of my issues is working on good form and choosing correct lines. Since I started riding these trails, I have been slowly making upgrades. I put on knobbier, and wider tires for grip. I upgraded the 3 x 8 drive train to a 1 x 10 drive train.(I just did this yesterday and haven't had the chance to try it out) Soon I'll be upgrading the brakes and rotors. I'm looking into a dropper post and possibly a fork but not sure if I will follow through with it. These upgrades are being done on the cheaper end. I'm currently saving for a new bike and I don't want to dump hundreds of dollars in upgrades into a bike that will mostly sit after I buy a new one.
I want to make the jump into a good trail bike with dual suspension and I'm budgeting around 2500 usd. I'm not the type of rider who wants to go as fast as possible and get big air. I want to be able to navigate the rock gardens with ease, climb up hills, and hit small jumps a long the trail. While I'm saving up I've been test riding some bikes. So far I've tried a Trek Fuel ex 5, a Giant Stance 2, and a REI DRT 3. The issue is the test rides are all around towns or cities so there isn't much of chance to find a technical trail. The best I get is riding along the road in a drainage ditch filled with large rock.
The Fuel Ex 5 really stood out to me among the three bikes. I was able to sit and calmly pedal up a drainage ditch filled with large rock. The other bikes did this as well but it seemed the easiest on the Trek. With that being said, I will probably end up buying the Trek, but there are other bikes online that have peaked my interest. Mainly the Polygon T8. The T8 is on sale for 2 grand right now and it comes with all Fox suspension. I feel that I would have to ride the T8 in order to make a decision on purchasing. Even though 2500 is my max budget, i would gladly spend less than that on something used.
TL;DR
Trek Fuel Ex 5 or Polygon T8 or "insert recommendation here"

2023.06.07 18:21 ernst212121 WORST GMC EXPERIENCE EVER!!
Does anyone have any suggestion for me on how to move forward?!
I have been working with my GMC dealerhip and corporate for 7 months now. to and have experienced the same shift to park message for over a year know. It has been into the shop 6 times at least for this same problem. Each time being sent in by this dealership saying the problem was fixed or there was no problem.
Now they don’t seem to care and want nothing to do with helping.
Timeline of Events:
January 2022: • First experience with the shift to park error on GMC Acadia. This issue results in the cars inability to recognize it is in park. The cars engine is off and will not turn on, while the car physically will not turn off. Initial work around was to quickly move the shifter until vehicle recognized it was in park. The first time this happened was around 26K miles/2 years since purchase (covered under warranty). • Called and set up appointment in Hermiston. Arrived at 8AM the morning of appointment. Was told they attempted to call that morning and tell me they were backed up and couldn’t fit me in. Rescheduled a couple weeks out. • Arrive at appointment and was told that shifting module was faulty and had been replaced with OEM part. • Drove back home and experienced same issue when we arrived at our house and tried to turn off vehicle. February – August 2022: • For the next few months, the problem had seemed to be reduced but never completely resolved. As it became more frequent, we took it back in to Swain Motors. Once again, I was told the problem was resolved and I was sent on my way. Not long after, we started experiencing the problem again. September 2022: • Car experiences new issue where previous solution of moving the shifter no longer works. Car will not turn off completely. Radio and internal alarms are ringing while external lights are flashing. VIDEO • Call Swain Motors and explained that car is physical unable to be moved out of parking lot. Tow truck is sent from Hermiston to Pendleton and tows Acadia back to Hermiston. Video of the incident as it was occurring was supplied to Swain Motors. • Car is in the shop for a few weeks. No communication from the dealership during this time. I called a few times for updates and was clearly an inconvenience and no solution had been discovered. Eventually was told they were “UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM”, so nothing was done. November 29, 2022: • Sent Letter to GMC corporate members explaining situation I was dealing with and experience encountered with Swain Motors in Hermiston. December 2022 – February 2023: • Received voicemail that GMC was willing to give me a $2K “Loyalty Credit”. • Responded to voicemail stating I thought there was more that could be done and that neither dealership seemed to be interested in helping me. • Received Increased offer of $4K Loyalty Credit and accepted. Once receiving confirmation email it was realized this would not cover repairs or accessories and was only valid towards the purchase/lease of new vehicle. • Sent email refusing loyalty credit and requested extended warranty.
March 2023: • 3.15.23 - Realized I had a voicemail from GMC back from mid-February. Voicemail stated GMC was willing to offer a 2-year extended warranty on transmission/related issues in addition to the $4K loyalty credits. Emailed back to confirm acceptance. Unfortunately, this was on an old phone and I have yet to find a way to access these previous voicemails. • ?? - Sometime in the next few days the same problem happened and the car was again towed to Hermiston. I called the previous liaison and left message explaining the situation. • 3.21.23 – Received email from GMC Executive team, new resolution liaison, Akilah was assigned to take over this case. I believe there was a voicemail asking for video evidence of situation. • 3.23.23 – Sent email with videos of incident. Received a call from Akilah after she had spoken with Swain Motors. I was advised that they were unable to replicate the issue and therefore could not identify/find a solution. I was told “I would have to have my car diagnosed at a GMC certified servicer at the same time the instance is happening in order for them to resolve the problem. I was given local options including Walla-Walla, Tri-Cities and Hermiston. ** Let me remind you one thing. When this issue occurs, the car will physically not turn on and requires being towed to a service shop.
April 2023: • 4.9.23 – On a weekend trip to Wilsonville, we experience the same issue and get stranded in the Costco parking lot. Car is towed from Wilsonville to Gladstone, and the GMC dealership there was able to run codes at the time the problem was happening. (Exactly what I was asked to provide). After sending my wife and kids off to a party, I stayed with our car as it was towed to Gladstone. After arriving and running codes, I was told there was nothing they could due until Tuesday (3 days later). Sitting in my car debating what to do, I realize the codes and alarms all ceased. I attempt to start the car, and it starts up as if nothing was ever wrong. (Roughly 3 hours elapsed from the time the problem was identified and starting the car). This is somewhat important later on. Sent email to corporate explaining the situation and providing video evidence as well as the codes requested. • ?? – Next few days, I received a call from Akilah, who expressed little sympathy. She was not thrilled, but informed me that after talking with Swain Motors, reviewing codes and consulting with her superiors, they were unable to do anything at this time. They advised me that I would now have to have to the car diagnosed at Swain Motors in Hermiston now and that they could not use the codes gathered from the previous GMC servicer. • 4.24.23: As advised by GMC, we coordinated a day to drop the car back off at Swain Motors. For a second time, I provide them videos of the issue at the time it was happening. • 4.26.23: Received a call telling me they found a cable between the shifter and the transmission was loose and not making the correct connection. The stated after tightening and test driving the car, the problem was resolved. From the time I drove it off the lot, I could feel something wasn’t right with the shifter as the button stuck and did not allow the car to completely shift into gear.
May 2023: • 5.1.2023: Emailed both Swain Motors and GMC corporate informing them of another instance of the same issue happening currently. • 5.2.23: I receive an email from Riley at Swain Motors, letting me know they were successfully able to diagnose while the issue was happening and agreed the shifter felt abnormal. After order replacement parts deemed necessary, I was told the car was good to go. Besides the fact we were locked in the dealership parking lot for an hour and had to wait to be let out, we were happy to get our car back in time for our trip the next day. • 5.17.23 – After a few phone calls in the prior days explaining the situation, GMC offered me a $500 voucher for use on accessories or service. I was told to advise them if the issue happens again. • 5.24.23 – The same issue occurs again. Videos are once again sent to both corporate and Swain motors. Car was once again towed to Swain motors for diagnosis. • 6.5.23: Received a call explaining that once again Swain Motors was unable to diagnose the car as the situation was currently not happening. I was advised staff is testing it intermittently but have yet to replicate the issue. I was given the option to leave the car at the dealership or bring the car back in when the issue is happening. I was advised by Swain Motors, “when they looked at my vehicle the battery was already dead. After recharging the battery, the problem has not been replicated”.

2023.06.07 18:18 SufficientlyStinky Am I getting scammed? Vegan-Digital. Bitcoin? I just need a job...
Applied for an admin assistant position through indeed. Company is called Vegan-Digital. You have to use the - or you can't find it anywhere. Monthly salary is 2500. Part time. Training is a month long but if you finish you get paid. Here's where it gets weird.
1 Company is supposedly based in Hong Kong and is starting to make roots here.
2 They prefer payments from clients/customers through bitcoin. Although they offer wire transfer from bank account to bank account as well.
3 Today this trainer said I would need to open a business account with a more prominent bank than the credit union I use because in order to process customers payments, that money gets deposited to me first where I would then put it into the company bitcoin account...
I started getting suspicious when bitcoin even got brought up. But I can't find a single thing about this company besides the website. No reviews, good or bad, anywhere. So I thought well I'm already unemployed and still looking for a job so "training" for this for 4 hours a day isn't necessarily going to make a difference. That and the longer the training has gone on, it started seeming pretty legit. However, now that she said this, I don't know...I don't know how this shit works. I don't know anything about crypto or how foreign payment works.
I just need a job. And I'm so scared that I failed again.
Edit:welp I'm an idiot. Thank you guys for your help

2023.06.07 17:59 recordwalla Is this a new thing? I’m seeing more vehicles (usually trucks) without REAR license plates and no temp tags either. Some have front plates.
| I thought this is illegal in MO but I’ve been seeing more trucks with flags or something random like this, instead of license plates. submitted by recordwalla to StLouis [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 17:40 Shirogitsune09 I’d like to share a story about how being a milk man was the second worst job I’ve ever had
So, to set the scene here: I was homeless at the time and was desperate for any source of income. This was in 2018, and work was steady enough to be found rather quickly in the area I was living in. I get a call back after a few days of applying, and it’s a job as a milkman for a local dairy depot. The pay isn’t by the hour, it’s $125 a day, and there are absolutely no benefits and no time off. I knew going into it that it wasn’t a good deal, but we’ll touch more on why later.
I was crashing in a family friend’s fifth wheel for the time being, and unfortunately, said friend’s camper was roughly an hour away up into the mountains from where the job was located, and my shifts were from 9 at night until I finished the job, which typically took 12-14 hours. (The employer knew this, which is why they paid “by the day” instead of by the hour. $125 is less than minimum wage when spread over 14 hours and it was a legal loophole for them to pay less.) This meant that I would spend two hours a day driving to and from work, on top of driving all night for work. This probably sounds bad already, but I was truly in a worst case scenario position and if I didn’t grab a source of income, I could’ve lost everything I had left. So, reluctantly and begrudgingly, I took the job.
This is where I wish the story ended. But no. Oh no no no. The working conditions and manager for this place made Jeff Bezos look like Mother Goose. I’ll gloss over the setup details for the job: you clock in and get your route. Company favorites would only have 100-150 houses to do a night, while the new hire cannon fodder like me would have to hit 400-500 a night in locations that were usually at least an hour away from the depot, just in case I wasn’t driving enough already. You would go pick up a box truck. The trucks had no cooling or refrigeration, so you would have to drive over to the “Ice Box,” which was a giant tank full of ice, grab a shovel, and chip and scoop out enough ice to fill the back of your truck. After that, you would drive over to the depot bay, load your food and drinks (we didn’t just do milk: bread, cheese, green chili, we did a whole variety. More on that later.)
Now, with all your product loaded and cooled, let’s talk about rules and guidelines and potential violations before you start your wonderful dairy delivering departure. The company had more penalties listed every night for deliveries than they had employees. If your load was out of temperature? You had to buy all the products in the truck out of your paycheck, no discount. If the truck got stuck somewhere or broke down? You had to pay to have it towed out of your own paycheck. Any deliveries aren’t delivered in full due to lack of product? You’re not gonna believe who’s paycheck that’s coming out of. All of this for a job paying less than minimum wage for 12+ hours of extremely physical and manual labor. But now, for the main event: let’s talk about the job.
Your job is as follows: you drive to house, you grab order, you run order to house, then run back and check it off the scanner. But wait. It’s not that simple. Because it’s never that simple. Most of these houses are owned by ultra rich ultra snobby assholes who don’t want you to drive your filthy peasant truck onto their luxurious driveway. These same people also would order 8 gallons of milk at a time, along with cheese, bagels, bread, and god only knows what else. The coup de grace, I mean the big dingleberry cherry on this shit sundae, is that company guidelines say you’re not allowed to walk while delivering. No matter how much you’re carrying, no matter how long this rich asshole’s quarter milk long driveway is, you run that order, rain or shine. 400+ houses. Massive orders. No pulling up the driveway. Even in the freezing pouring rain. At 2 AM.
Sound bad enough to quit? Well hold on now campers, because I’m not done yet. We haven’t talked about my trainer. We’ll call him Bill. Bill was so burnt out and dead inside he just did this all unblinkingly. He seemed fine enough, until I asked him about using the bathroom or taking a break over the course of the shift. No breaks allowed. If you stop to poop, the company will log it and deduct your idle time. Then, he says if you need to pee, there’s a hole in the truck. He gets up out of the driver seat, climbs the small barrier into the back where we keep the ice and product, and starts pissing on the floor by a little drainage hole for the melted ice. At this point, I’ve decided I’m done.
There’s just one last hurdle, truly the final boss: telling my entitled cheap ass slave driving boomer boss. After a week of grueling work and little to no compensation, I go into the boss’ office and tell him I quit. He goes ballistic, screaming and berating me and pounding on his desk. He screams about how he spent $5000 on my training (I spent a week working and they gave me a hat and shirt. The hat and shirt were not $2500 worth of quality between them, so I’m calling bullshit.) After his temper tantrum, he refuses to speak to me any further about the job, and just keeps screaming for me to leave. About a week later I got my check for my week of hell.
Moral of the story kids: don’t be a milk man.
