(26f) was on the phone with my brother (31m) last night. We ended up recommending me the show The last of us. Said it was good, except for episode 3. I asked why, knowing there was a story about gay men but hoping that’s not what he was referring to. But it was. He said ‘it’s two men who love each other’ I asked if he had a problem with that, he answer ‘no but get out of each other’s pants’.
Then I was kinda silent. I don’t have a fucking clue of why he thought that would be a thing I’d agree with (I get into fights with everyone in my family because I have progressive views. They know raising political issues with me will end in blood. They are all fucking stupid, not super conservative but ignorant and all pig headed)
Also I don’t know about the first game, but the second game is all about the girl and her girlfriend. It’s super queer. But I’m sure THAT doesn’t bother him.
Anyway that’s it. It wasn’t a big thing. It wasn’t hateful. But I am queer. My life is queer. My friends are queer, my boyfriend is queer?/queer-friendly, all the content I consume and create is queer. So I forgot. It feels like I put myself in a queer coton ball and forgot how the world really is, and that the things that bring me the most joy, like queer representation in triple A games and blockbuster TV, actually do really make people angry and uncomfortable. I feel stupid.
My brother has a 4 year old son. My little brother is 15 and is being by my mother and her piece of shit boyfriend who both say f** 5 times a day. I’m not scared for them, they’re gonna be fine cause they’re gonna find their people no matter how they end up identifying. But it makes me so sad.
I feel sad and naive. And like I might never come out to my family.

Getting to taste our own blood in Seattle against team Rapinoe, in a bare bottom 2nd half spanking. Finally showing resilience in the Rose City only to lose it on a lucky flick in the box with a lackluster of a performance by our keeper. If you haven't aged after watching those last five games, then you must be using some really good moisturizer, because Shlomo got old just typing that.

I adopted my cat from the shelter last September at 5 months old. She’s now a year and 2 months old. When I first adopted her, I fed her three times a day (1/2 tin tiki cats for breakfast, some dry instinct for lunch and 1/2 tin wet food for dinner). She started to get fat so I reduced her meals and now only feed her one tin in the morning and one tin at night (no lunch).
When I adopted her she never begged for food or showed interest in our food during mealtimes, but my husband has a bad habit of leaving his plate on the table after he’s finished eating to lay down and watch tv and a few months ago he left a piece of salmon in his plate and she she jumped up, ate the salmon and the begging never stopped.
We always push her off the table if she jumps up, and I’ve locked her in the bedroom a couple of times or if we’re eating and we see her coming close to our feet, we get the broom to shoo her away. I’ve fought with my husband over this because he’s to blame for the first salmon incident, but he has been taking his dishes to the sink straight after eating and getting better at not leaving it on the table.
It’s been months and the begging now aggravates me, because it’s everytime I step into the kitchen she follows by my feet and begs and i step on her almost all the time (not on purpose), because I’m not looking at the ground to see what’s there while I’m cooking. She would leave whatever she’s doing and run to the kitchen if anyone goes in there and start meowing. I even have to lock her in the bathroom while I’m dishing out her food, because she stands up at the counters, meowing incessantly until you put her food down and then eats like a pig inhaling everything quickly as if she hasn’t eaten in days.
It’s really starting to aggravate me and I can’t help it because now all I see is a fat, glutton cat that makes noise when she runs.
Help me please! Any recommendations would be fine.

My last post was the my (34f) boyfriend (40M) went on a trip about a week ago. When he got back, he wasn't really texting. And I chalked that up to he was tired from his trip. When he wanted me over this past weekend, I was beyond psyched and got to his place as fast as I could.
When I got there, his wife and her other husband were there, which is fine. But I was sort of hoping we would have been alone. But them being in the house never stopped anything before.
The night was a lot of kissing and cuddling. There wasn't any sex, except me giving on my part. He told me he was tired, so I let it go.
The next day, we cuddled, all morning again. I felt he was aroused, but he was still not seeming to want to do anything. By the time we woke up from a random morning nap, it was noon. We did watch a TV show together, but by the time we finished one episode, he told me he had a lot to do. It was a thing for his wife and a trip to the store (which he is not far from). I sort of felt rushed out.
So since then, I have been really confused. On one hand, we are supposed to see each other this week. On the other, his texting is still insanely sparse. Good mornings and good nights. And I just can't get the feeling that he seemed really off. I don't know if this is how it always is after he comes from a trip.
Also, I do wish we saw each other at my place. I didn't push it though because I knew he probably wanted a break from spending more gas money. I guess in my head I was hoping for this passionate reunion, and instead it was lackluster.
I am planning on talking to him about this when I see him. I don't believe in having these discussions over text. But I don't know how to say anything without sounding needy. Or maybe I am being needy? I guess the reason for my post is to see if this is normal in some poly relationships. I just feel like I am getting more cold signals and lukewarm signals from him than hot signals.

Due to some reactions to my previous post, had to put it in all caps in the title that I'm a first time viewer, to make it clear I'm not someone trying to dig the sequel trilogy out of its grave to spit on it some more, I'm experiencing them for the first time and just want to share my opinion.
Once again, it's a mess. Sorry. We've come full circle, because just like the Force Awakens, the start of the crawl is already controversial. Somehow Palpatine returned. Completely out of nowhere, no foreshadowing, no build up. And it's right in your face, like, movie starts, 2 minutes later he's there. It feels like a desperate attempt to get attention, to save the trilogy, but it doesn't.
So this time we have a Macguffin hunt, something something, Sith path finder. They kinda ignore the fact the resistance/rebellion is reduced to a few people, I didn't get the sense of urgency and hopelessness I got from The Last Jedi. Rey is still insufferable. Finn is still boring, should have sacrificed himself at the end of previous movie, the friend he made becomes a side character. The fleet of mini-death stars is dumb.
This movie has some fakeouts which I hate. OH NO CHEWIE IS DEAD! No he isn't. OH NO C3PO IS GONNA SACRIFICE HIS MEMORIES TO SAVE THE GALAXY. No he won't. OH REY IS A PALPATINE , no she can just decide to be a Skywalker. OH KYLO BROKE THE MACGUFFIN. Never mind there's two of them. Then there's the plot conveniences. Oh look, we just happen to fall in the cave where the next glue is! Oh look this random cute droid Disney made to sell toys had a clue for the Macguffin all along! Oh look, Force Healing is a thing! Every time stuff like this happened I was taken out of the movie.
One thing is fore sure though, Ian McDiarmid still got it as Palpatine. He opens his mouth and creates new iconic/memeable lines. "AS ONCE I FELL SO FALLS THE LAST SSSSSKY WALKAH!"
Adam Driver's acting is cool too, I grew to like his tamper tantrums. And yeah I couldn't help but noticed them copying Endgame. Took me out of the movie and I was like "Man I should be watching Endgame instead, would be more fun."
I don't have much to say, this trilogy did the opposite the other ones did, just kept getting worse. I'll give this one a 4/10.
You know, people say that after this trilogy they started appreciating the Prequels more. I'm one of those people who actually really liked the prequels when I first watched them, and now after watching this "Anti-Trilogy" , I just feel more validated for liking the prequels. Anyway, time to move on.
Not sure if I'm gonna watch the Han Solo movie, is it worth it? Fun at least? If not I'll go watch the tv shows, starting with the Clone Wars in chronological order.

Is anyone else disappointed in him leaving the show only for his career to stagnate? I loved simon and was sad when he left the show but at least I thought I’d be seeing him in other movies. I watched his new movies and he was barely in them :/ he seemed to be a main character in D&D but he didn’t really have much screentime. I just feel sad that things don’t seem to be working out for him

Does anybody know what is Cat's real name before he met Dave and Rimmer? I assume other cats didn't call him Cat.
I know it's never mentioned in the show, but maybe if some real geeky fans had the script on their hands maybe it was mentioned there? Sometimes there are character in movies that have no name in the film itself, however when you check the Wiki you see that they have a name given by the authors for backstory purposes. You know what I mean?

I wanna say first that I didn't think it was bad, and my opinion is also influenced by the fact that I didn't know it was the first of two parts. Probably gonna get downvoted on this sub but i was curious if anyone else felt this way. Also, this contains a few spoilers potentially.
That being said, I do not think it deserves the immensely high rating it has been given. The art style did not feel like it really captured the emotion of the scenes as well as the first one, which really felt like a moving comic. It felt more here like the art style was being used to convey the differences between the universes which I guess is fine but gave each scene less impact. The scene with captain Stacy at the opening was well done visually though (even with the campy dialogue).
In addition, there were a lot of scenes that I didn't think were necessary, or way longer than they needed to be. I get that he has issues with his parents, but there were a lot of scenes where Miles is talking to his parents for example where nothing new was introduced and no character development occurred. That's all without saying that they didn't feel like realistic conversations. It felt like they were telling us that his parents were trying to be good to him, rather than showing it (the whole show don't tell idea). Maybe if I watch it again knowing it's a two parter I'll enjoy it more idk.
It also kinda feels like it's gonna suffer from the same thing that happened to the Hobbit. Too many movies and its filled up with stuff that is not important. To the plot or characters. They are preparing for a fight and the next one feels like it's gonna be one massive 2 hour fight or something. If they took out some fan service and characterized his parents a bit better, they could have probably just done one movie. I suppose we will see though.
This last point is more of a personal problem, but the plot itself annoyed me. It felt like it was devaluing the story of Spiderman by essentially making it the conceptual antagonist of this movie and given how much impact Spiderman has had on my life it did not make me feel good.

I have an ASUS r542uq laptop which I purchased in 2018 and since it was slowing down a bit I decided to open my laptop and install a WD Green SSD into its dedicated m.2 SATA slot. I didn't reinstall the windows and decided to migrate the OS into the new SSD using a software called DiskGenius. Ever since I've installed the SSD and made it the drive which boots my PC, I've seen different BSoD popping up. The first one was right after I made the SSD my bootable drive with the stop code NTFS _FILE_SYSTEM showing. I solved it by following some YouTube tutorials which made use of the chkdsk command and sfc /scannow commands. But since then my laptop has crashed twice in 2 days mid work often in weird scenarios. The first time was when I was watching a movie and didn't notice my laptop battery touching 3-4% when it suddenly crashed and the code SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION was seen. The second time was when my laptop was on charging after it has hit 100% battery and it was just lying there not being used with the stop code SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED . What is the exact cause of these problems and a permanent fix?
