This is getting to be an important time in many of our lives.
Most are heavily invested. It is becoming more and more serious.
Lets see if we can determine by what Cyrus has said and also, by what he did not say. As you know, I've taken in a lot of what Cyrus has said. I have come to believe that he says/does things in such a way that it allows people to know ahead of time that he is getting ready to do something. This is like reading between the lines. I think it is vitally important to understand what he is saying when he can not open his mouth.
I have said many times that we will know without even being told. The time will be made manifest for those who are watching without a word spoken. This still holds. There won't be any pre-announcement. We will be able to tell by the events taking place around us that the announcement is around the next bend. There won't be any need for a pre-announcement as we will just simply know.
Frequently, in the past, I've mentioned Peace and Safety. Safety must be verified and when it is, Peace is established. I've also said, that around this time when safety is being validated for the sake of peace, that there would be opposition. Cyrus has set up the offensive attack, but now has developed illness and hopefully, he is recovering. He has bolstered his team and they remain stalwart performing appropriate defensive as well as offensive tactics and measures. Arman is saying, that CytoDyn shall get this done on their own. They are not sinking in cowardice requesting assist from any, or looking for a buy out. They shall achieve this alone. There is none whom he may count on. Name one.
Cyrus now sits away from the action, separated, on MLOA, with Migliarese technically as acting President. Yes, Antonio can sign on the dotted line if/when necessary. Is AM making the decisions or calling the shots? Here Antonio describes his sentiment in hiring Cyrus, "14:01 Antonio Migliarese: Brief Update on legal and financial issues. Here, in 6/30/22 Conference Call , Tanya Urbach, Board Chair, introduced Cyrus as such, "One candidate immediately separated himself from the competition. Particularly, with respect to thorough to the level of due diligence he brought to bear on the opportunity. He personally spent countless hours meeting with management in reviewing and assessing the data in an effort to understand Leronlimab's potential, the business and the existing management core capability. Further, as he proceeded through his interview process, it became clear, that he is the embodiment of each of the attributes the committee sought and that's exactly what we believe this company needs to take it to its next level.

Antonio Migliarese, who has served as Interim President as well as CFO since late January, will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Arman is reputed to be an exceptional 1st principle thinker, able to work both scientific and commercial considerations to evaluate probabilities of success in sizing the market to develop different criteria's for forced ranking opportunities. Throughout his career, he has repeatedly led wargame events, where clients had to role play as their own competitors in an effort to understand how their decisions fit in the larger context of their market. He is known to be a quick learner, to be analytical and methodical in thought processes, a tireless worker and to have an incomparable sense of duty. The board could not be more excited about Dr. Arman's incoming leadership and he has our unanimous full support."
In 9/28/22 Conference Call , Scott Kelly said, "21:19 Scott Kelly: Thank you Cyrus. Before I begin introducing the new Scientific Advisory Board Members, I want to address a current question I received from investors regarding our new leadership. You know, when we first began our search for our new CEO, the BODs at CytoDyn was focused on finding a unique individual with experience in corporate strategy in development of capital markets, licensing agreements, corporate governance with a firm scientific background and the ability to be a strategic thinker. We needed someone who not only would understand the potential of leronlimab, but would execute on those opportunities. We believe we have found that person in Dr. Arman. I work with Dr. Arman on a daily basis. He is an analytical and methodical thinker. He is focused and he works tirelessly. He has a unique ability to understand the science, but can switch on a moments notice to evaluate the business principles to support further advancement of an idea into a clear clinical path forward. He has chosen leronlimab after much due diligence. We believe leronlimab is now in the best of hands. One of the things that Dr. Arman and I agree on wholeheartedly, is to focus and surround ourselves with people that we believe will make leronlimab a success with our current focus and initiatives. Under the leadership of Dr. Arman, I can tell you, we believe our team has never been stronger, and the work we are currently doing is placing CytoDyn and leronlimab on the best potential path for success."
The work Cyrus Arman put into getting this hold lifted has consumed the majority of his first year with the company. I shouldn't have to get into everything that was done, but it was a Major, Major effort. Cyrus brought in the big guns. He brought in (4) External Auditors versed in FDA rules and regulations. In fact, they were comprised of prior FDA regulators. The Raw data was aggregated, validated and verified. The Investigational Brochure was updated and submitted in September of 2022. The Development Safety Update Report was submitted in October of 2022. The Safety Management and PharmacoVigilance Plan was submitted in November of 2022. The Aggregate Safety Analysis Plan and the Benefits / Risk Analysis Assessment were submitted around Valentine's Day of 2023. Remember, these documents are massive. This was an "All hands on deck effort" taking place.
Cyrus completely revised his Board of Directors to that of an Independent Board of Directors. His Strategic Advisory Board of Experts are also Independent. He set him self up with all the appropriate persons he needs to operate however he needs to operate to get this task accomplished. Everyone remains except him. Everyone continues in the way they were, but he is officially out of the picture right now, you know, on paper.
As this was an all hands on deck effort, the majority of his team's work remains defensive and continuing to answer questions and provide more clarity. Some though, do work with Cyrus on the offensive. Possibly then, shareholders can assimilate the take home message, that with his illness, his offensive attack is complete, in stands and waits only for the hold to lift. If we read between the lines, Cyrus, recovering from his illness, we can be assured that his offensive work in collaborations and with his Scientific Board of Expert Advisors is locked and loaded, ready for AM to sign into action even while he recovers. He can rest easy, and get healthy again, knowing assuredly, that his offensive work for Phase 1 is done, such that once the hold lifts, CytoDyn will be ready to move forward on all fronts.
It appears as if our President is sick, that all his efforts took a toll on him, and I wish him the very best. Yes, that is possible. Get well Cyrus, but don't let me influence you in any way. Continue in the way which you know gets your goals accomplished. Discuss your plans with SAB, instruct your team, and keep them on the right path, aligned with your goals. Trust your instincts. As we have seen, CytoDyn does this alone and regardless of what obstacle is thrown before it, in the end, it emerges exultant.
I can be wrong. Yes, I can be wrong. Hospital beds. Good place to plan though. Good place to strategize. Just saying. Scenarios playing out. Practicing and pre-determining outcomes. Warring machine in the bunker, in the command center, the scenario he seeks takes place because he practiced it out already. He has seen it unfold already, just as he planned it would happen and if it didn't work out precisely, he worked in his back up plans. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

My parents have always treated me very differently to my younger siblings. There isn't a big age gap and my parents' financial position didn't change so I'm not sure why they took such different approaches between me and their other two kids.
They had firm family rules that were enforced on me, then removed for my siblings, like, we weren't allowed a bike until we were 10. I got one for my tenth birthday, then my sister got one a day later because she "looked sad".
They were overly zealous about enforcing old-fashioned rules on me, like never being allowed to leave the dinner table without eating everything on my plate, even when I was literally crying and gagging. They stopped when my siblings were old enough to have those rules enforced.
In my teens I had to bike everywhere, rain or shine, or get rides with friends. My brother and sister were each given their own moped as soon as they were old enough to get a license.
When I left for university at 17 my parents converted my room into a home office, leaving me nowhere to come home to, even for holidays. They paid my accommodation costs in my first year but after that I was on my own. I had to work part time and take out big student loans just to afford to live in horrible flats that made me sick. Both my siblings had all their living costs covered by my parents throughout their study. They both lived with our parents during university holidays and for extended periods in their 20s rent free while they saved for overseas travel and house deposits.
I'm really happy for the upbringing my siblings had. I just wish my family would acknowledge that I had it different. They seem to resent me for being more careful with money than my siblings, for not doing well at university, and for not being close with my parents. But what could they expect? I had to do it all on my own with no support, financial or emotional.
I went NC with them after my sister eloped and nobody in the family told me or took my calls when I was trying to find out what was going on after I saw it on Facebook. It was really hurtful as I'd thought we were getting on well in the months before. I'd just been in my hometown spending time with them.
Initially I meant for the NC to be short term while I dealt with the hurt. But, over time, I realised my life is so much better without them in it. My birthdays are more enjoyable when I don't spend the whole day wishing for a phone call that never comes. Time spent with friends and extended family in my hometown is far more enriching than with my parents or siblings. Blocking their number is easier than stressing about why they never call. Not calling them is better than hearing *groan*, "yeah?" when they hear my voice on the line.
Almost 10 years has passed. My two sons have grown into awesome pre-teens without having my parents, aunty or uncle in their lives. I've gone through big milestones, and my siblings have too, all without sharing them with each other. My dad now has dementia and I'm sad for him but I'm numb to the loss of him in my life. There was a time when I really looked up to him and thought we had a good relationship. But he also just failed to be there through so many areas of life where parents are supposed to be there and it always left me so emotionally gutted. People have said for years that I'd regret going NC if anything happened to my parents and I lost the opportunity to reconcile. But here I am, in a situation where I have lost the last of dad's healthy years, and I still feel like I made the right call. But it seems wrong to feel right about that. Is this okay or something I should seek help with?

This interaction has been so baffling and triggering to be honest. To be clear, she sent me his number (first the wrong one, then the right one) to call him to set up an appointment with him for what was supposed to be a session with just me and the therapist and my husband. (My own therapist has told me to not ever of anywhere near my mom without my husband) she is afraid of him because he sees RIGHT through her. Anyways, this is how our text convo went after having spoke on the phone with him for an hour where at the end of it, he told me that I’m a survivor. Now, a few sessions later with my mom, he tells me we both feel wronged and as a therapist you can’t tell who’s right? 🤯

“I think at this point, I don’t want to rehash the past or anything, I would like you and your husband to meet with your mom and her husband to simply find out if everyone is open to relationship, what the boundaries should be, and how to move forward in a healthy way. I would be there to facilitate, with the goal of simple reconciliation and clear boundaries for these relationships. Hope that clarifies my take on things.” - the therapist
“Honestly, as the one wounded by her, I do not feel safe or ready to “move forward” without rehashing the past. I don’t believe that is advice I’d like to follow for my own safety. Her actions even in recent weeks have shown she is angry and blaming me. I am willing to have a session with you on her behalf to help with her recovery and healing as an individual. I am in therapy for my CPTSD. I am working on healing the wounds she’s inflicted. She’s shown zero remorse for her actions and I’m not ready to forget them and let them repeat again to me or my children.” - me
“I understand, however, as a therapist, I can’t sit in judgment over who was wronged more or who is righteous. You both likely feel wronged and hurt, I understand this. However, reconciliation is about accepting the other person as they are, and setting safe boundaries for the future. It isn’t so much of a forgive and forget, but rather an opportunity to slowly rebuild something healthy. If we dig up the past, that is likely going to destroy future healing. You both know what has happened, so fighting it out or proving a point is not overly helpful.” - the therapist
“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be offensive, I know you mean well, but this woman has been absolutely atrocious to my whole family. As a teenager I spent almost a year in an in patient facility for suicide attempts, self harm and an eating disorder. Since, I have been diagnosed with CPTSD from a co-dependent, and enmeshed relationship with her. Yet, from the time we have been no contact, our whole family has learned how to live and enjoy life more fully.
I’m blamed for this whole situation and I’m also blamed for my feet and hands turning white and numb when in contact with her. My trauma and my physical trauma responses have always been my fault.
She has stalked my kids at their school and walked up to their pick up line. She has stopped at my house recently, and demanded to be let inside. She has broken into our house. I’ve asked her for space for a year and 6 months and she’s done nothing but cross boundaries and attack my family.
I would like one thing to be clearly known. We did not jump to no contact. We tried multiple family counseling meetings with different therapists. We set healthy boundaries and tried to move forward. That was in 2020-2021. We only went no contact last year as there was no remaining steps to take. Her and her husband were warned in advance, that if they continued to harass us we would cut off contact. Any claims that she doesn’t understand why we are here are flat lies. She wants to sweep it all under the rug and move on, because she made this mess. If she wants a relationship, she has to take ownership of her of behaviors, and grow beyond them.”- me

I sat in my stately office, stared at my phone, the crumpled number in my hand, and wondered if I made the right decision.

It’s all downhill from there, when the farm burns down and Leo turns up dead.
Suddenly, Jill finds herself caught up in a web of intrigue and murder. Lurking among the neighbours and family who welcomed her back to her childhood home, is a killer. No longer certain who she can trust, but certain that her mother’s death was not the accident it seemed, Jill must solve the mystery of her mother’s death, if she is to survive and carve herself a new life in the not-so peaceful countryside.

CHAPTER THREE
From downstairs crockery rattled; a female voice on the radio croaked about the joys of being lost in France. My daughter’s more dulcet tones drowned out the chorus with her own ‘Oh-la-la-las.’ Groaning, I rolled out of bed, then remembered it was the first of February today – I’d made it through January – at last!
Minutes later seated at the kitchen table, I stared with bleary eyed envy at the fruit of my womb. Oh, to be young again! Sophie’s light blonde hair was pulled back in a high pony tail, her clear green eyes sparkled, her cheeks glowed with health. Talk about bushy haired, bright eyed and eager to greet the day. Out-loud I said, ‘What time did you get in last night?’ ‘Oh don’t!’ Sophie rambled on about stopping someone for speeding, only to find the driver was disqualified and driving around with enough weed to be classified as a dealer. ‘Wouldn’t you think they’d at least stick to the speed limit? I mean! And it was ten minutes from dismissal. Instead I had to find a custody cell and start a report. This new system’s horrendous. It takes forever to load! In the writing room … oh, that reminds me. I need a couple of pens.’ She jumped up to rummage through kitchen drawers, still chattering on: ‘In the entire writing room, only one terminal in ten connects to our tablets …’ her voice trailed away. A drawer slammed shut. ‘Mum, what’s this?’ She pointed the envelope towards me as though it were a warrant. I squinted, then waved it away. ‘Nothing. Nothing to do with you.’
‘It’s from a solicitor.’
‘I know.’
‘A solicitor in Sussex.’ She slapped the envelope onto the table, directly in front of me.
I stifled a yawn. ‘I know. Any chance of a cuppa?’
‘Don’t change the subject.’ She folded her arms. ‘It’s something to do with your granddad isn’t it?’ The old bastard who’d rehomed me like an unwanted puppy after my mum’s death. I smiled grimly, pushed back from the table and nudged at Sophie to step away from the worktop where the kettle lived. Knowing as soon as my back was turned, she’d pounce on the envelope. ‘So he’s finally kicked the bucket. He’s probably left me some hideous knick-knacks. I’m not interested.’ Amazingly, my hand didn’t shake as I poured boiling water into the mugs; then hurriedly added a tea-bag to each. I glanced over my shoulder, hoping Sophie hadn’t noticed my senior moment. She wouldn’t have noticed if an elephant had waltzed in and demanded breakfast. The torn envelope was on the table, the letter in Sophie’s hand. Good. She could deal with whatever it was the solicitor wanted. Or give me a synopsis. I slopped the tea-bags into the sink and reached for the biscuit barrel. ‘Mum … mum …’ Sophie’s voice sounded hollow, as though summoned from the bottom of her stomach. I turned; she clutched the letter in one hand, the other clutched, white knuckled at the table. Oh lawd, the old man had died and somehow saddled me with all his debts. ‘What is it? What’s wrong?’ I demanded. Wide eyes fixed on me, Sophie whispered, ‘He’s left you everything. Lower Beechcroft Farm, outbuildings, land, fishing rights, it’s all yours. You’re a property millionaire.’ I stumbled over to the nearest chair, missed the seat and went sprawling to the floor. ‘Mum!’ Sophie crouched beside me, while I shook my head in disbelief. Unexpected tears stung against my cheeks. No more pretending to care about the displays of cheese at Fresh Fields … I can sign this house over to Sophie, maybe even pay off the remainder mortgage. Things seemed to be getting serious between her and Robert … most likely he’d move in, but that was none of my business … Reading from the same hymn sheet, Sophie sang, ‘No more crappy jobs for you, you’ll be lady of the manor, have a few paying guests, a few cream teas…’ ‘Wine evenings!’ I corrected and suddenly we were laughing through the tears, hugging each other tightly. At that moment, a voice echoed from the hallway. ‘What’s wrong? Has someone died?’
Sophie recovered first. ‘Hi Uncle Leo – no … well, yes, but no-one we really knew.’ Grasping Sophie’s arm I hauled myself up with a warning squeeze and an urgent shake of my head to say keep quiet. ‘Leo. What do you want?’ I stared accusingly at my ex-fiancé. Long ago, back in the dark ages, we’d been briefly engaged. By brief, I mean blink and you’d miss it. Part of his charm had been the easy going friendship he’d formed with a then fourteen year old Sophie – she’d started calling him ‘Uncle’ off her own bat. As for the other part of his charm … that would be the easy going friendship he formed with other women. Neat crew cut hair, twinkly blue eyes and a talent for making knock-off gear from the local market look like designer clobber, Leo had a lot going for him. And he was right – I couldn’t blame him if other women found him irresistible. What I did blame him for was his inability to resist sleeping with them – in my bed – on my sheets! At first I wanted to kill him. But that was long ago. These days, I tolerated him, because to give the devil his due, he’s always been decent to Sophie. ‘Wow, that’s not very welcoming. I can drop by to see the most beautiful girl in the world, can’t I?’ He grinned, hitched a buttock onto the table, and corrected himself, ‘The two most beautiful girls in the world.’ He did look good, in a pale pink shirt, grey blazer and faded denim jeans. But I hardened my heart. ‘It’s my house, Leo. You don’t just walk in.’ Sophie shot me a half-pleading, half-warning look. ‘I’ve got a court appearance today. Uncle Leo wanted to use the car, so he said he’d drive me into court, and pick me up.’ The car was in Sophie’s name – but Leo had put the money for it up front – so I could hardly say anything. ‘Well, he should at least knock.’ ‘Yes, mum. Sorry, mum. Can you wait outside, Uncle Leo? I’ll be ten minutes.’ She rushed for the stairs and thundered up to her room.
Making no move to haul his arse off the table, Leo swung his leg and smiled at me. ‘If you’re trying to get your feet back under my table, forget it!’ I said crossly, and felt even crosser when he laughed. Trying to ignore him, I slammed around the kitchen, pulling out a Tupperware pre-packed with sandwiches from the fridge and adding a banana, before making fresh coffee for Sophie to take – Neasden magistrates’ courts didn’t have a café, only vending machines. ‘Tea for me. Who have you pissed off now? And why were you on the floor, crying?’ Laughing, and any tears were tears of joy. ‘Off the table, for the last time!’ I snapped. The coffee perked; I decanted it into a travel mug, and added, ‘If you must know, I’ve got the sack. So I’m broke.’ Hands on hips, I taunted, ‘Can you lend me two hundred quid?’ We glared at each other. Sophie walked in, breaking the tension, 'Mum? Uncle Leo?' With a quick smile for Sophie, who looked so smart and official in her best uniform, I handed over the lunchbox and travel mug, ‘Knock ‘em dead. Take care.’ Sophie kissed my forehead, 'Thanks, Mum. It’s all on body-worn and I’ve made the case watertight. This guy’s an idiot trying his luck. Anyhow, I'll call you later.’ That meant Sophie was staying over at Robert's tonight. I forced a tight smile and nodded. Puckering his lips, Leo leaned in for a kiss. I turned away. He chuckled and followed Sophie into the lounge. The front door slammed shut; a childish parting shot from my ex-fiancé. 'Arsehole,' I muttered.
With the house to myself, I examined the letter – twice. It looked kosher. If it was a joke, I was about to find out. Pen and paper ready, I tapped the solicitor’s number into my phone, took a deep breath, and pressed dial.

Observation log - Adrien Lopez
Day 93
Shapa Ratif, Chief Secretary of the Fighters branch
The past moons have been incredible. He was incredible. In just over ninety days he's fought in eight matches and won them all. Only a handful of fighters in recorded history have ever accomplished such a feat. With each battle, he gained a new scar and yet his gaze never wavered. He still has the same eyes.
Personal note: Over the past several weeks, Adrien and I have gotten more… intimate. Not in a sexual sense, I highly doubt he's physically and biologically capable of being my mate. But the way he looks at me and pets me and holds me close when I'm afraid. It makes me feel… good. He's not an animal like some would call him. He's compassionate and sometimes sad. He misses home even still. I do what I can to help him but I fear it will never be enough.
The news of his feats has gone beyond The Conglomerate's borders. Officials from the Nom'Klar Confederacy and Talkien Commonwealth have traveled to meet him in person. Some, including the Supreme Minister Galiban Klar of the Nom'Klar Confederacy, have offered great amounts of wealth and status to Director Coblo Kon'Bar in exchange for Adrien's services. One of the offers was rights to an entire moon in a border sector of the Commonwealth. All of these offers were rejected. Coblo stated that giving him away would squander a long-term investment for short-term gain and as a businessman he couldn't accept that.
As I stated before, Adrien had won eight matches so far, not including his first match against Kuldar the Breaker.
Note: I will be including additional descriptions of Adrien's opponents from his perspective to better understand his viewpoint.
The first was on day three of my recording. The opponent was Patonal Shipping once again. Director Galnam Bursin held a grudge against the Octon Corporation and demanded a rematch. His wager was one of Patonal Shipping's void ports. Their fighter was the Skelian Halzif Silvertooth. The fight was shorter than the one with Kuldar as Adrien ended up breaking Halzif's arms and then his spine over his knee.
The second match was on day seven against Luchin Security. Their fighter was a Kyslan, Malzar Blackclaw. Adrien described him as part man, part wolf. The fight was drawn out at Malzar peppered Adrien with cuts in the hopes that he would exhaust himself. Adrien however figured his plan out and attempted to corner Malzar. Despite the Kyslan's superior agility, Adrien got the better of him, pinning him to the ground and beating his teeth out. Malzar slashed him across his cheek but Adrien didn't waver as he grabbed his jaws and twisted them apart.
The third match was on day twenty-two against Agnus Plants. Their fighter was Petrin Stonefist, another Ba'Ok. Agnus believed that Adrien exhausted himself in his fight with Malzar. They were mistaken as he was not only ready to fight but also had experience fighting Ba'Ok. The match was over quickly as Petrin surrendered before Adrien could cave his head in.
The fourth match was on day thirty against Genyos Metals. Their fighter was an Avulan, Vulen Greatwind. Adrien described him as a bipedal griffin with clawed hands and a hunched back. He was taller than Adrien and his wing span made him look even bigger. However, his overall stature wasn't as thick and bulky as the human's. During their fight, Vulen leaped into the air and tried to rip Adrien apart on his way down. But Adrien grabbed his arms and threw him onto the ground, damaging his wing in the process. After more back-and-forth slashing and punching, Vulen managed to grab Adrien and lift him high into the air, pushing through the pain in his wing. But before he could let go, Adrien grabbed him, climbed onto his back, and proceeded to break his wing completely. As they plummeted down, Adrien used Vulen's body as a shield to cushion his fall. The height combined with Adrien's weight shattered Vulen's bones but Adrien was also hurt in the process.
Note: When I asked Adrien how he felt during the match he said he wasn't scared. Vulen might have been big but his bones were brittle just like with any other bird.
The fifth match was on day forty-seven against Urilon Mining. Their fighter was a Rulan, Venro the Mighty Steed. Adrien said he looked like a centaur with long lanky arms. Upon further research, I discovered that centaurs were mythical creatures that resembled the Rulans in almost every way. As soon as the match started Adrien went on the defensive. Venro was much larger and faster than him and just one good strike of his hooves could spell the end. Venro hit him several times with his arms, which Adrien described as whips with the way they struck. But every time the Rulan would bring his legs up to pummel him, the Goliath would show his agility and roll out of the way. This went on for a while until Adrien finally got an opening, jumped on Venro's back, and locked his neck between his arms. Venro tried to shake him off, even biting his forearm. But Adrien wouldn't let go and with a quick motion, he snapped the Rulan's neck.
The sixth match was on day sixty-three against Halzafar Metals.
Note: My relationship with Halzafar Metals didn't impede my documentation.
Their fighter was a female Hastan, Gaela the White Reaper. Adrien described her as being a hybrid of a mountain lion or a leopard and a human. An apt description. She was undoubtedly the most agile opponent Adrien had ever faced. That was evident at the very beginning of the match when she rushed past his defense and slashed his chest and belly. She licked her fingers in a taunt and it made Adrien angry. For a while, all Geala did was slash at him and run. Adrien couldn't land a hit on her and he was getting noticeably exhausted. Or at least that's how it seemed. After another slash on his back, Adrien knelt with his fist on the ground. Gaela taunted him more, calling him a stupid ape and an upstart high on his beginner's luck. She charged at him again and in a split second Adrien grabbed her arm and throat and used her momentum to slam her into the ground. He then lifted her by her throat and slammed her again and then again into a wall. Lifting her with one hand Adrien started choking her. She fought desperately until her body went limp and fell to the ground.
The seventh match was on day seventy-seven against Ken’Dal Arms. Their fighter was a Filnaran, Inac the Grey Mist. Adrien was most surprised by him so far. Not only were the two of them of similar height and build but their features resembled one another’s very closely. The main differences were in their skin color and facial anatomy. Filnarans had light grey skin with small noses and eyes as well as no hair and ears that looked more like holes in the side of their heads. Their eyes were also very dark with bright white pupils which made them unnerving to look at. Adrien didn’t seem to be scared though as the two men stood in front of each other. It looked like it was going to be an equal match. Some said it wasn’t considering that Adrien killed opponents bigger than him. And indeed it wasn’t. Inac made the first move and Adrien was immediately taken aback by his fighting skills. He was agile and strong, carefully aiming for the weak spots in Adrien’s defense. Inac even beat him down to the ground a couple of times but let him get back up. He was enjoying this despite his face showing almost no emotion. Adrien on the other hand was mad. This wasn’t a fight he could win with brute force and relying on the opponent to make a mistake. Inoc knew exactly what he was fighting and Adrien needed to adapt quickly. Inac attacked again and again, breaking Adrien’s guard and beating him down. But the human kept getting back up. Inac seemingly respected this as he complimented Adrien on his willpower. But Goliath didn’t care. Instead, he stood perfectly still and upright. He calmly breathed in and out and relaxed his body. Everyone looked puzzled and some were angry because he seemingly refused to fight. Even Inoc was taken aback. He tilted his head to the side and slowly walked over to Adrien. When he got close he stood still as well. Then he suddenly went to strike Adrien who deflected his attack. Inoc struck, again and again, the attack was deflected. Attack after attack was thrown at the human, who took little heed of their impact. After a while, Inoc got angry and finally formed an expression on his face. He threw a barrage of punches and kicks at Adrien, who pushed him to the side and used the opportunity to deliver a devastating hit to Inoc's torso. He then grabbed Inoc’s arm, threw him on the ground, and broke his elbow. It was the first time anyone heard the Filnaran scream. Adrien pinned him down and threw punch after punch at Inoc’s face until the Grey Mist finally raised his good arm and mumbled out a surrender. This was the toughest fight in Adrien’s career thus far.
The eighth match was on day ninety-two against Kizmoc Engineering. Their fighter was a Kyslan, Cartha Whitefang. The fight didn’t last long as Adrien broke one of her legs and she surrendered.
Note: He seemed to have shown no emotion during the match. Perhaps a psychological side effect caused by the number of fights he’s endured. A prolonged physical and mental recuperation period is necessary.
This concludes the noteworthy events.

I don’t want to do that again.
Goodness, this work was tiring. I never thought being a secretary for a fighter would be this much work. I mean, it's not like they get any calls or anything. Well, whatever. At least I could rest. But I remembered I still had to check on Adrien to see if he was alright. His mood and demeanor changed much after his fifth fight. Before that, he was more lively. Not exactly cheerful given the circumstances but not depressed either. He used to pet me more and he even offered to train me. Me? Of all people he chose me. It made me laugh but the bonding was nice. His methods on the other hand were not. Apart from the seemingly endless running sessions, which I had no problem with, his training left me exhausted more times than I could count. Hundreds of pushups, pullups, and squats as he called them, and a position named the plant that really made my stomach sore. And after that he wanted me to practice striking and kicking.
The first several days were hell. I felt like I was going to die.
But after a while, I got the hang of it. I even started to enjoy it. And I've gotten stronger and faster. My musculature improved greatly and my body and mind adapted to the routine. I couldn't help but feel proud of myself as I looked in the mirror to see how much I had changed. I felt accomplished. But Adrien said this was only the beginning and that life is about constantly improving. Stagnation is a killer, one that we can let catch up to us.
I walked down the hall to Adrien’s room but when I went inside he wasn’t there. He couldn’t have. I told him he needed to rest. As I ran to the other side of the hallway I could hear grunts behind the door of the training area. When I opened it I saw Adrien hanging down from a rod and a Ba’Ok hitting him in the abdomen.
“Tarton!”, I shouted, “What are you doing?!”
Tarton was a Ba’Ok privateer Coblo assigned to help Adrien train for his fights. With his bulky body and strong arms, he was a perfect candidate to prepare the human against strong opponents. But this made no sense to me. Why was he punching him in the stomach?
“I asked what are you doing.”
“He wanted me to do it.”, Tarton replied in his usual deep voice. I looked at Adrien who barely took notice of my presence.
“It's true. I don’t know why though. He’s gotta be psycho.”, another voice spoke, this time from my left. A Hastan male was sitting on a crate and eating what looked like meat out of a can. Gizmic. Another privateer Coblo hired. Unlike Tarton however, he was there to test and improve Adrien’s agility and reflexes. As a Hastan he was naturally superior in those areas. Even still, he was a pain in the ass. Acting like a child and going out of his way to annoy me. One time I punched him in the face and he fell backward. It was the first time I felt glad Adrien taught me how to fight.
“And you didn’t think to stop this?”
“I prefer to live.”, he said nonchalantly and kept eating, “You’re welcome to try, pencil pusher.”
I ignored his idiotic insult and walked over to Tarton. He stopped hitting Adrien, who jumped down from the pole. His belly was bare and I could see the bruises running from his chest down to his lower abdomen. But he still stood tall and firm, seemingly ignorant of his injuries.
“What do you think you’re doing?”, I asked him angrily, “You’re supposed to be resting. You might have a match soon. What’s wrong with you?”
“He doesn’t look that-”, Tarton spoke but I cut him off.
“Shut up! You’re supposed to know better! I’m not surprised that idiot over there didn’t do anything.”
“Hey!”, Gizmic shouted.
“But I thought you were smarter.”
Tarton didn’t say anything and I glanced over to Adrien, who started walking away. I grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
“You’re not listening to me. I’m trying to help you.”
He backhanded me and hit me in the jaw. I fell back and rubbed my face, feeling the pain and hissing back at Adrien who stood there and looked at me dumbfounded. I quickly got up and I don’t know if it was adrenaline or anger but I hit him in the gut as hard as I could and then in the face. His nose was bleeding and he took a few steps back but I could tell I didn’t do much. My fists hurt and I stormed off.
“Do whatever you want!”, I shouted as I left the room. I just kept walking. Where? I don’t know. Far away, I guess. Why was he like this? Why can’t he just-
“This is outrageous!”, I heard a yell from Coblo’s office, “You can’t expect me to agree to this!”
“And why not?”, a hissing voice asked him over a holo-call. I couldn’t make out who it was but Coblo certainly didn’t like them.
“I’m not letting you get ahold of someone like Lopez. He’s unique.”
“You misunderstand, Coblo. I don’t want your fighter. I want those like him. I want to know his planer of origin.”
“Are you mad, Gulvin?! If you go there you will inevitably attract the other leaders. Not to mention the Confederacy and the Commonwealth. And if that happens the results would be–”
“So is that a no?”, Gulvin asked.
“Of course, it’s a no. Having one of them here is hard enough already. Have you any idea how hard it is to keep his origin a secret? And thank God for the current border conflict because I’m sure that otherwise, entire fleets would swarm that planet.”
Gulvin seemed to have paused for a moment before continuing, “If you don’t give me the location I will expose this.”
Neither of them spoke for a minute. Coblo eventually broke the silence, “How? How do you have this? I burned it all!”
“Not quite.”, Gulvin smugly replied, “You seem to have forgotten that I too was involved. Luckily, any traces of that were deleted. But yours were not. I don’t think I need to explain what this will do if it were to, I don't know, slip into a publication house?”
Coblo’s voice turned angry, “You slimy, slippery, son of a bitch! You dare do this to me!? To me! If it weren’t for my money you’d still be scrounging for scrap in some slum in the outer moons! I brought you into the council and now you backstab me like this?!”
“I learned from the best. Now, I will give you three days. That should be enough to gather the information. I trust we have an understanding, Director Kon’Bar. I wish you the best.”
The transmission cut off and Coblo went furious. He banged his fists on his table and threw his objects and decorations in all directions. Then the room went silent. I couldn't tell what was happening. Soon enough I heard the distinct sound of another transmission being played.
“Maltaran, are you there?”, Coblo asked in exhaustion.
“Yes, Director. How can I help?”, a low voice replied.
“Do you remember the favor you owe me from Tarius Beta?”

I came up with a theory (not exactly ground-breaking and I'm sure many have figured this before) when thinking about how models have different strengths and weaknesses when reading this thread, "What is the number that rhymes with the word we use to describe a tall plant?" (answer is 'three'). Apparently, chatGpt struggles whereas other models succeed, but then chatGpt is much better with coding.
The first part of this theory is probably an obvious possibility. In the future there will be commercial models that get installed locally but use the corporation's computing power online. Example, instead of chatgpt through a browser to openAI's machines, it is a program installed locally which connects with openAI (cutting out the middle-man), allowing for user preferences and settings, accessing local files etc.
The second part of the theory is where the strengths and weaknesses come into the picture. Companies will have multiple specialized models for different uses. These different models will be bundled just like Microsoft's Word, Excel, Outlook etc are bundled into Microsoft Office. The difference is that the models in the bundles will be able to talk to each other to compensate for their weaknesses. A research-writing model might encounter needing to invent an equation but isn't good at maths.
