So I’m only on me second board and definitely learning a lot, my first one I posted about, aggressive humper who’s owner basicslly trapped me at my apartment by not bringing his crate because I couldn’t leave him without being in the crate. This new dog I didn’t meet before and I admit that’s my fault I just couldn’t find the time before my trip and the owner didn’t seem interested. The owner had posted photos of his 8 month old puppy and he was so tiny, turns out that the owner posted photos from when he was like 3 months old, because when he dropped him off he was way bigger. I thought maybe I looked at the photos wrong but went back and checked and yeah no he posted photos from when he was a puppy. Also his dog is clearly a dog that wants to be outside all the time, I live in apartment and on the top floor and he’s wanting to go out every hour just to go outside, which is a huge hassle because it makes it hard to do stuff. I took him to my parents house to play with their puppies( I asked before hand and he was okay with it) and he’s doing so much better here with a backyard, it was so stressful at the apartment because my boyfriend so it would only be me taking him out constantly and I know what people are going to say, ignore him. Well I couldn’t do that because he’d whine ugly and I didn’t want my neighbors to complain. Here he can go out easily and had buddies to play with, so I’be messaged his owner and asked if wouldn’t mind if he spends the next 2 nights until he gets back to pick him up then I’ll take him back to the apartment for pick up. Hopefully he says yes but I wish owners wouldn’t book with people who have apartments when their dogs are clearly dogs that need a backyard. I’ve been around dogs my whole like and never had issues with them but these first 2 boards have been hard just because of owners not being honest about behavior or size. Definitely learned my lesson about always meeting before hand. Just kinda wanted to rant about this, see if this is a common problem for sitters. Or am I just dumb.

2023.06.06 21:23 SnooBooks8840 I think our landlord is illegally taking money away from our security deposit
Me, and my wife just moved out of a rental mobile home in Orange County. Well we received an email with a list of things that will be taken out of our $3,030 security deposit and there are 5 separate charges for utilities listed adding up to almost 400$! For context, we paid a prorated utility cost when we moved in, never violated anything in the contract, and moved out the exact day we were supposed to. From my understanding California civil code sections 1950.5 prohibits landlords from taking utilities out of a security deposit. What can we do to fight this?
I added a list of the charges because there are other things on here that do not make sense. We knew they are money hungry as there were some shady practices that went on, but did not expect the massive charges.
They also charges us 595$ for a cleaning fee and 1000$ for painting. We left that house looking significantly better than when we moved in (painted baseboards, patched holes that we did not create, scrubbed everything down, power washed the outside). I even took extensive videos and photos the day we left in case this happened. There’s even a charge for shower heads which we never changed (they were the ones in the house when we came) and they were perfectly fine (even have a video).
I’m at my wits end and there’s no way this is all legal. Are they just expecting us to roll over and accept these charges as if we destroyed the house?
Any help would be awesome, thank you!

Full dislcaimer below. TL;DR: We're not Bethesda staff, this is an automated post. Filthy Casual Links
The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is now live on PC/Mac and Steam.
This new Chapter in The Elder Scrolls Online saga introduces two new zones to explore, a brand-new class to master and a sinister plot to uncover that threatens reality itself.
If you play on consoles, don’t worry. You can dive into Necrom on Xbox One, Xbox Series SX, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on June 20.
youtube This release also includes the free Update 38 base-game patch, introducing new fixes, additions, balance changes, and improvements.
Necrom Chapter
In The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom, you can delve deeper into the Shadow Over Morrowind adventure, explore the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha zones, and master an all-new class, the Arcanist. Necrom continues the story that began with March’s Scribes of Fate DLC, but you do not need to have completed the previous DLC to experience everything this Chapter has to offer.
Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha Home to the cunning mages of House Telvanni and the city of Necrom, the Telvanni Peninsula’s towering mushroom forests might feel familiar to those who have ventured to other parts of Morrowind. However, in addition to the city itself, this new zone contains a host of unique encounters for you to discover in your explorations, including new side quests, world bosses, delves, public dungeons and more.
NCRM Trophy CityOfTheDead Necrom city Necrom also allows you to explore Hermaeus Mora’s realm of Apocrypha. While this mysterious part of Oblivion contains knowledge untold, be warned—many mortals have lost their souls while navigating its endless libraries.
youtube In this Chapter, you can explore an all-new part of Apocrypha called Chroma Incognito, a region comprised of fates that never came to pass. This new area is unlike anything you have experienced before, including myriad hazards and secrets for you to discover. Learn more about Necrom’s two zones
in this preview.
The Arcanist Helping you tackle these new worlds is the all-new Arcanist class. The first new class added to ESO since the Elsweyr Chapter’s Necromancer in 2019, the Arcanist wields the forbidden powers of Apocrypha to deal damage, absorb incoming blows and heal yourself or your allies.
youtube In addition to three skill lines that allow the class to perform any role, the Arcanist introduces a new combat mechanic: Crux. When activating specific Arcanist abilities, you generate Crux, which you can then spend to empower other abilities. How you utilize this unique resource in combat can have a major impact on your effectiveness as an Arcanist. You can read more about the Arcanist class
in this preview—use these new powers wisely!
Group Challenges If you’re looking for a challenge, Necrom also introduces new group activities.
Sanity’s Edge is a 12-player trial which tasks you and your allies with defending the fractured mind of a stricken member of the Mages Guild.
NCRM Trial SanitysEdge AnsuulTheTormentor Sanity’s Edge trial In addition,
Bastion Nymic is a new kind of world event where groups of up to four can help the Prince of Fate reclaim one of his lost fortresses from mysterious invaders. However, even getting access to this hidden part of Apocrypha requires special items found only on roaming Seekers. Read more about these
two PvE activities here.
New Companions & Rewards As you venture throughout both zones, you can encounter new allies including two unique Companions,
Sharp-as-Night and
Azandar Al-Cybiades. Both Companions can be recruited, leveled up, and equipped in this new Chapter, and each brings their own stories, combat skills and quest lines for you to unlock.
Necrom also features a host of in-game rewards you can earn as you explore and complete the game’s various quests and Achievements. This includes a series of new item sets (via crafting or earned from monster drops) and unique collectibles (such as the Berylglow Nix-Ox Steed mount or the Shroomtender’s Garb style).
NCRM Zone Rewards TelvanniCaravan Necrom zone rewards You can also dig up new Antiquities throughout both zones (including three mythic items) and unlock a Tales of Tribute deck (Almalexia) that introduces an all-new patron ability and cards.

Update 38
Launching at the same time as the new Chapter is Update 38, a free base-game patch for all ESO players that adds quality-of-life improvements, fixes, and new features to the game.
Collectible Favorites With Update 38, you can now designate favorites among your collectibles, moving them to the top of your Collections UI. You can choose up to 100 various collectibles with no limit on mounts, but some categories do not support this functionality at this time.
Random Mounts Update 38 also allows you to set your active mount to either “Random Favorite Mount” or “Random Mount.” When either one of these options is toggled, activating your mount in the world then summons a mount from either your selected favorites or from your entire collection—mix it up!
Filleting Multiple Stacks of Fish Tamriel’s many fishers can now fillet multiple fish simultaneously with Update 38. This can be done by visiting any Provisioning Station and selecting the new tab. You can still fillet fish one at a time from your inventory, but if you’ve got a huge catch, you will be casting more lines in no time.
New PvP Keep Messaging Finally, Update 38 also introduces improved messaging for when a keep and its resources are claimed. If your guild owns a keep, the owner will be notified when its resource guards are killed.
These are just some of the new features and changes coming with the new base-game update. You might notice changes to the reset timers for Cyrodiil and Tales of Tribute campaigns and that the indomitable Stuga is less fanatical when it comes to chasing you down in the streets of Daggerfall, Davon’s Watch, and Vulkhel Guard. To review everything coming with this base-game patch, be sure to check out the
patch notes on our official forums.

FOLLOW THE TRAIL & CONTEXT OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED TO NIOCORP MANAGEMENT BELOW: Sharing Jims's responses to " Relevant" questions on 11/15/2022: 1) - Has Niocorp recently applied for a DoE/LPO loan for "debt"..? RESPONSE: " We are indeed in discussions with several U.S. federal agencies about potential financial assistance to the Project, but all have very strict rules about disclosure of those discussions and processes. I’m sorry but I cannot say anything more about this at present. " 2) - Could any additional CO2 capture methods still be possible by ex-situ, direct mineralization, or other methods now being undertaken via the New Process? RESPONSE: " The reagent recycling tied to the Calcium and Magnesium removal, which we recently announced as part of our demonstration plant operations, is effectively a carbon sink and is expected to reduce the carbon footprint of the eventual operation*."* 3) - Who owns the patent/rights to this New Process being implemented? Or can it be licensed moving forward? RESPONSE: "We hold the rights to any intellectual property developed and related to the Elk Creek process by virtue of our contractual relationships with L3 and other entities involved in the work. While our focus remains on using proven commercial technologies in the public domain, we will act to protect the parts of our process that may be novel. CENTENNIAL, Colo. (June 6, 2022) – Metallurgical testing being conducted now by NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company“) (TSX: NB; OTCQX: NIOBF) in Quebec, Canada, is intended to quantify the Company’s ability to extract rare earth elements (“REEs”) from Elk Creek ore. It is also aimed at testing a carbonation process that can be used to recycle key reagents used in the removal of calcium and magnesium carbonates from the Elk Creek ore ahead of operations that are expected to extract and recover niobium, scandium, titanium, and rare earths once project financing is secured! RESPONSE: " If the higher purity niobium and titanium intermediates that L3 was able to produce at bench-scale are replicated and proven at demonstration scale, this would put us in a position to more easily move to other products beyond those outlined in our 2019 Feasibility Study. Niobium oxide for use in Li-Ion batteries is one possible example, although the production of that product would require additional processing steps beyond the higher-purity niobium intermediate that we discussed in last week’s news release. The company is not yet in a position to make a determination on whether or not, and when, to possibly expand our Niobium product offering. Higher grade TiO2 could expose us to additional markets where higher margins could be obtained. But, again, we are not in a position to speak to those possibilities in any detail yet. " ~ B) Niocorp’s preferred separation method is SX. Are these higher purity processes part of an improved SX process or “something else”? RESPONSE: " No, the processes we recently discussed occur in the earlier stages of the flowsheet, prior to any SX processing. We look forward to unveiling those details once these processes are verified at the demonstration plant level and once all associated work needed to complete an updated Feasibility Study is completed. " Sharing Responses from Jim Sims to three relevant questions on 3/13/2023 \*Jim-**A) Could you offer comment on What Scope 3 emissions mean for the Elk Creek mine moving forward into production & to the end users utilizing the products being processed at the mine? & Would Niocorp's Scope 3 Carbon Emission Reductions qualify foas "Carbon Credits" in the context above? Could/Does Niocorp's "Carbon Friendly GHG/ESG" mining processes & work scope qualify for- INNOVATIVE CLEAN ENERGY LOAN GUARANTEES Department of Energy?* Response: "We have made an internal estimate of the benefits of our planned products at a Scope 3 emissions level. However, the definition and applicability of Scope 3 emissions must eventually be determined by government regulators, and the SEC is examining many aspects of this issue now. At present and in general, carbon credits are created by mitigation measures taken at the Scope 1 emissions level, although there are several different approaches being examined across the U.S. As to DOE programs, I am not allowed to comment on that at this time." B) Is/Could an "ANCHOR" Investos still have interest in the Elk Creek Project? Comment If you can... (A,B,C,D.... as all options are on the table.) Response: "Yes. " C) (Follow up) - Is Niocorp still engaged with "Several Federal Agencies" other than the EXIM Bank as sources for "Debt" or Off-take agreements? Comment if you can... MARCH 2023~Export-Import Bank of the United States Issues Letter of Interest to NioCorp for Potential Debt Financing of up to $800 Million for NioCorp’s Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project~ Export-Import Bank of the United States Issues Letter of Interest to NioCorp for Potential Debt Financing of up to $800 Million for NioCorp's Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project - NioCorp Developments Ltd. CENTENNIAL, Colo. – March 6, 2023 – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company“) (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) is pleased to announce the receipt of a Letter of Interest from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (“EXIM“) for potential debt financing of up to $800 million through EXIM’s “Make More In America” initiative to fund the project costs of NioCorp’s proposed Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project. EXIM’s communication to NioCorp states: “We are pleased to extend this Letter of Interest in support of the proposed capital funding plan by Elk Creek Resources Corp. for the Elk Creek Project. Based on the preliminary information submitted on expected exports and jobs supported, EXIM may be able to consider potential financing of up to $800,000,000.00 of the project’s costs under EXIM’s Make More In America initiative.” Elk Creek Resources Corp. is a Nebraska corporation wholly owned by NioCorp. A project finance letter of interest from EXIM represents only a preliminary step in the formal EXIM application process, and the Letter of Interest states that the communication “does not represent a financing commitment” and “is not an explicit indication of the financial or commercial viability of a transaction.” NioCorp expects to submit an application to EXIM to begin the first phase of the underwriting process (“Phase I”) as soon as possible. As stated in the Letter of Interest, “Upon receipt of NioCorp’s application for financing, EXIM will conduct all requisite due diligence necessary to determine if a Final Commitment may be issued for this transaction.” The process from submission of a Phase I application to a final commitment of financing by EXIM, if any, is expected to take approximately six to nine months and is subject to a number of risks and uncertainties. See “About NioCorp’s Application Process” and “Forward-Looking Statements Disclaimers” below for additional information. As explained in the Letter of Interest, “Any final commitment will be dependent on meeting EXIM’s underwriting criteria, authorization process, and finalization and satisfaction of terms and conditions. All Final Commitments must be in compliance with EXIM policies as well as program, legal, and eligibility requirements.” “We are very pleased with this Letter of Interest from the Export-Import Bank of the United States for NioCorp’s Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project, and with the fact that we may qualify for as much as $800 million in debt financing from EXIM,” said Mark A. Smith, Chairman and CEO of NioCorp. “We look forward to finalizing and submitting a formal loan application to EXIM and working closely with them through this process.” The debt financing is subject to the satisfactory completion of due diligence, the negotiation and settlement of final terms, and the negotiation of definitive documentation. There can be no assurance that the debt financing will be completed on the terms as described above or at all. As noted on EXIM’s website, in February 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order 14017 directing an all-of-government approach to assessing vulnerabilities in – and strengthening the resilience of – the United States’ critical supply chains. From that Executive Order, the White House released findings from its comprehensive 100-day supply chain assessments for four critical products: semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging; large capacity batteries, like those for electric vehicles; critical minerals and materials; and pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients. More information on EXIM’s Make More In America initiative can be seen here: https://www.exim.gov/about/special-initiatives/make-more-in-america-initiative The information on or accessible from any social media postings or sites, or EXIM’s website, is not, and will not be deemed to be, incorporated by reference into this press release or any filings with the SEC. SHARING THREE FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS & RESPONSES FROM JIM SIMS NIOCORP APRIL 4, 2023 Over a year ago I asked what improved Nb & Ti could be utilized for moving forward. - Could the improved Niobium & Titanium oxides now under development be utilized in/for Batteries, Electronics, Xenes, SuperAlloys & Titanium Sponge production in the future? Comment if you can, or maybe 🤔 we’ll have to wait just a bit more?
RESPONSE: "POTENTIALLY." 2) The last remaining 25%of Niobium production has yet to be placed under an enforceable contract since 2020. Is the MOU still in place with a major U.S. steel producer or…Are “Other” Entities interested? (Comment if you can) RESPONSE: "YES, AND YES." 3) Has Niocorp applied for a DoE/LPO loan? RESPONSE: "AM UNABLE TO COMMENT ON THIS, AS I HAVE INDICATED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE." Or still dealing with several federal agencies in addition to the EXIM Bank? RESPONSE: " YES " ON APRIL 4, 2023 ~NioCorp Achieves Processing Breakthrough in Demonstration Plant Testing of Niobium and Titanium Production~ NioCorp Achieves Processing Breakthrough in Demonstration Plant Testing of Niobium and Titanium Production - NioCorp Developments Ltd. New Process May Allow NioCorp to Produce Higher-Purity Versions of its Niobium and Titanium Products, Which May Open New Markets to the Company CENTENNIAL, Colo. (April 4, 2023) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company“) (Nasdaq:NB; TSX: NB) and L3 Process Developments (“L3“) are pleased to announce a process breakthrough in niobium and titanium recovery achieved at L3’s demonstration-scale processing plant Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. The breakthrough points to a potentially more efficient way to process niobium and titanium into higher-purity products, which may in turn open up new markets for NioCorp’s proposed Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project (the “Project“) planned products, once sufficient financing is obtained to allow the Project to proceed to commercial operation. Smith, CEO and Executive Chairman of NioCorp. “These results point strongly to the likelihood of NioCorp producing more niobium from each tonne of Elk Creek Project ore, which could have positive impacts on our Project’s anticipated overall financial returns. These results also point to the prospect of our Project producing more forms of niobium for a greater range of global markets.” “These are very exciting results and they point to potentially greater production levels and additional optionality in terms of where we can sell niobium and the prices these products command,” said Scott Honan, NioCorp Chief Operating Officer. “While the demonstration plant has performed well, the pace of operations has gone at a slower rate than any of us would have liked. That is often the case with demonstration plants, which by their nature are designed to investigate innovate pathways for producing commercial products as well as stress testing those processes. Our top priority in this project has always been to maintain a very high standard for technical feasibility and testing, and to conduct the work safely and efficiently. Adhering to high standards is critical to the project’s success, including being able to attract necessary financing to bring projects such as ours to commercial reality.” MAY 26th 2023~NioCorp Demonstrates the Ability to Potentially Double Projected Titanium Recovery Rates for the Elk Creek Project https://www.niocorp.com/niocorp-demonstrates-the-ability-to-potentially-double-projected-titanium-recovery-rates-for-the-elk-creek-project/ Demonstration Plant Shows New Recovery Process May Double NioCorp’s Titanium Production per Tonne of Ore as well as Produce a Higher Purity Product that May Command Higher Market Prices TITANIUM- The U.S. & ALLIES ARE BUILDING OUT ANOTHER 2,000 PLUS F-35 FIGHTERS CENTENNIAL, Colo. (May 26, 2023) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:NB) (TSX:NB) is pleased to announce that it has successfully demonstrated an ability to potentially double the recovery of titanium from each tonne of ore the Company expects to mine at its Nebraska-based Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project (the “Project”), once project financing is obtained and the commercial plant is constructed. The new process is expected to produce a purer form of titanium that may command a higher price than is assumed in NioCorp’s June 2022 feasibility study for the Project (the “Feasibility Study”). NioCorp’s demonstration plant in Trois Rivieres, Quebec, has shown that the Company’s new and improved recovery process can likely achieve an 83.7% rate of overall titanium recovery to final product. This compares to a 40.3% titanium recovery rate in NioCorp’s previous process approach. This new result points to a potentially large increase in the amount of titanium that NioCorp can potentially produce at currently planned rates of mining. 2023.06.06 20:55 AussieHawker Cornel West is not progressive (or not anymore).
There has been a lot of discussion about Cornel West because of his announced campaign. With a wide variety of reactions. But one reaction I've noted is people who do know how stupid splitting the vote is, but say that he is championing progressive causes or that he is very progressive.
Now he acts Progressive. He says certain buzzwords. But is he? Or is he really just a crank who has gone right?
Splitting the Vote for Trump This campaign is nothing new for Cornel West.
From his own mouth Brother Bernie and Brother Trump are authentic human beings in stark contrast to their donor-driven opponents.
In the 2016 campaign, he was praising Trump over Clinton.
And then endorsed Jill Stein. You don't have to like Clinton, to know how high the stakes were. And of course, as we now all know the stakes were high. 3 Supreme Court Justices, hundreds of lower federal judges, endemic corruption, criminalisation of immigrants, rise in hate crimes, and Trump utterly botching the crisis that happened under his watch, Covid killing over a million Americans.
But lots of people made that mistake as well. However, he is doing it all over again, after all this shit happened.
And Now Trump is even worse. He is explicitly campaigning against democracy itself because of his grudge about losing, he has made a campaign promise to invade Mexico, Ukraine will almost certainly get cut off reviving the Russian invasion and he explicitly wants to purge the Federal government of all non-loyalists, including bureaucratic roles. Cornel West has no hope of winning, all he is doing is taking away Democratic votes.
DeSantis, Chris Rufo and Cornel West However, Cornel West doesn't just have an unfortunate past of praising Donald Trump. He also has a current history of praising Ron DeSantis and working with evangelical right-wingers, and their education causes.
Recently he wrote an Op-ed
DeSantis’s Revolutionary Defense of the Classics By Cornel West and Jeremy Wayne Tate
Gov. Ron DeSantis just gave a welcome boost to the classical-education movement. He signed legislation allowing high-school students to qualify for Bright Futures scholarships, a state fund for college education, by submitting scores from the Classic Learning Test instead of the SAT alone.
This move will likely be portrayed, wrongly, as partisan and conservative. But the greatest works of civilization have always been about spurring—not preventing—radical change. They teach us about the revolutionary ideas of the past and help us better understand the present. The richest ideas of what it means to be human are those that have stood the test of time.
Many of the seminal works of literature, history, philosophy, science and theology were revolutionary in their respective ages. Turn the pages of Galileo Galilei’s “Two New Sciences” and you’ll experience the alteration of humanity’s view of itself in relation to the heavens. By disproving the then-common belief that the planets revolved around the Earth rather than the sun, Galileo laid the foundation for modern science. Isaac Newton, swept aside what remained of the Old World’s scientific superstitions—only to find himself upstaged two centuries later by Albert Einstein’s “Relativity.”
Like revolutionary ideas today, the ideas of yesterday were provocative and, in many cases, much more consequential. Galileo was put on trial because he upset the status quo. In the 13th century, Bishop Stephen Tempier of Paris condemned key works of theologian Thomas Aquinas for being too radical. Soviet dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn and civil-rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. were imprisoned for their views. In colonial America, James Madison and his co-authors feared printing their names on the Federalist Papers, so they hid under aliases. Even the most mild-mannered of philosophers stirred trouble for thinking against the grain. Plato watched his great teacher Socrates put to death for his teachings.
Revolutionary figures of the past give us insight into the present and allow for reflection on the consequences of their choices. Julius Caesar, one of antiquity’s most recognizable leaders, teaches us the cost of revolution through his histories. By crossing into Rome with his armies, he ended the republic and created the Roman Empire, a crime for which he paid with his life. But in his firsthand descriptions of the often-brutal tactics he employed to achieve political transformation, he left behind deep insight. Caesar’s direct and simple prose conveys the reality of going to war—all without reference to contemporary conflicts.
That’s one of the virtues of the classics: They are a means of considering what is true without invoking the blind partisanship that encourages thoughtless action. There is nothing we need more today than the cultivation of reason and understanding.
That’s why Mr. DeSantis’s support of classic education has universal merit that transcends partisanship. Education based on values, logic and discipline isn’t Republican—it’s timeless.
Mr. West holds a chair at Union Theological Seminary and serves on the board of academic advisers of the Classic Learning Test. Mr. Tate is founder and CEO of the Classic Learning Test.
In this article, he praises DeSantis for introducing the Classic Learning Test (CLT) to Florida schools. He has a lot of fancy words about the various historical thinkers who went against the grain. Sounds nice. I wonder how Ron DeSantis is treating free inquiry in Florida?
But in reality, this is really just a handout to an incredible niche test used by a handful of Evangelical right-wing schools.
The CLT dates all the way back to ... 2015. It's just a way for Republicans to spend education money fattening the pockets of the CLT advisors to provide these tests, and to push students away from real universities to ones that teach them nonsense. And the guys profiting from this, is Cornel West's co-author on this article who started the test and Cornel West himself.
But also, pushing the 'Western Classics' didn't happen in a vacuum.
Ron DeSantis pushed the CLT, as part of his plot to get rid of African American Studies and other 'woke' courses that are part of the AP studies. TALLAHASSEE — In February, when Gov. Ron DeSantis went after the College Board’s new Advanced Placement course on African American studies, he hinted that Florida might do without the organization’s courses and tests.
Two months later, Republican state lawmakers are preparing to head in that direction.
Using their budget proposal and a bill (HB 1537) that’s viewed as the Florida Department of Education’s legislation, the House and Senate are looking to pivot from the College Board’s Advanced Placement courses and SAT exam to other alternatives.
For the SAT, the state is considering a “classical and Christian” exam alternative called Classic Learning Test. It would be used as an optional graduation test requirement and to determine Bright Futures scholarship eligibility, as well as a college entrance exam at Florida’s public colleges and universities. Schools would have the option to administer the SAT, ACT or Classic Learning Test starting next school year.
For AP, the chambers have agreed to spend millions creating Florida-based alternative courses and tests, asking state universities and colleges to help establish the materials. A third-party organization would help create the exams.
Cornel West's own books would likely be in the firing line of Florida schools for writing about the Black experience in a way that wasn't completely stripped of all real history.
And who else is on the CLT Board? Christopher Rufo, listed as Senior Fellow, The Manhattan Institute.
Rufo was also appointed by DeSantis to destroy Florida's New College.. So he isn't just a think tanker, but directly on DeSantis's payroll.
Also included is Kevin Roberts, the President of the Heritage Foundation.
If you look at the photo the CLT board posted, its literally just a sea of White Republicans.
So Cornel West has no problem writing a public article praising Ron DeSantis for helping free inquiry, as he tries to get rid of any books about LGBT people or Black people and working alongside Chris Rufo, the guy who managed the Right Wings Critical Race Theory panic. Seems bad.
Ask yourself. If a Biden appointee to Education Secretary had this kind of background of supporting the privatisation of schools, and of hanging around figures like these, would you be cool with it? No of course not.
The People's People Grift You might also note from his announcement that he isn't running for the Green Party, which already has ballot lines in many states. But for the
People's Party. Said People's Party is headed up by Nick Brana, and has been championed heavily by Jimmy Dore.
Both
Nick Brana and
Jimmy Dore have been credibly accused of sexual harassment and assault.
And this is what the People's Party online presence looks like
https://twitter.com/marionumber4/status/1665768271637782532 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fx32IR5WAAQTjzf?format=jpg&name=large Very left-wing. Totally not a right-wing grift.
In terms of the other track record of the People's Party, they aggressively solicited donations and promised that they would run dozens of candidates in the 2022 midterm. They didn't run a single one. Wonder where all that money went?
So the bright spark from all of this is that likely the People's Party will grift all the donations sent in, and not use it to actually get ballot access outside of the handful of states they have access to.
His Platform Cornel West's website right now, is pretty limited. But one issue caught my eye in particular
End the Wars Bring our troops home and invest those trillions of war dollars into American communities. Support veterans, stop all foreign military aid, close the bases, disband NATO, and ban nuclear weapons globally.
Stop all foreign military aid and disband NATO. You know, while Russia is aggressively invading Ukraine. Yet another Leftist that is pro Imperialist invasion by a Neo Tsar.
What wars? Bring the troops home from where exactly. Biden already left Afghanistan and Iraq a couple of years ago.
And I wonder what magical spell he has in mind, to get Russia, China, North Korea, India, Pakistan, and Israel to consider giving up their nuclear weapons.
More of the Company he keeps Other assorted people, he hangs out with
He is of course a constantly returning guest on Bill Maher.
https://twitter.com/cassiepmillestatus/1138583273242857472 I wish "Milo Yiannopoulos, Gavin McInnes, and Cornel West walk into a bar..." was the beginning of a joke, but I'm sorry to report that it is actually real life

https://twitter.com/CornelWest/status/1666114005877010432 https://twitter.com/themattdimitri/status/1543780892241543171 Hate group founder Gavin McInnes asks Cornel West to name an American fascist West: There's a spiritual fascism inside all of us... as a Christian I see it inside of myself Candace Owens: The Klan were Democrats West: Yes, they were [As if MLK had no idea of that history of Dems]
Candace Owens: They tried to blame me for a mass shooting in New Zealand, saying that this person got radicalized by my ideas of Black conservatism in America The Christchurch New Zealand Mosque shooter stated in his manifesto Owens was the "person who radicalized [him] the most"
Reportedly he went on this because Gavin McInnes was offering money to do it, which other figures turned down I gave Matthew this footage. I have the full segments for both appearances. At the time McInnes was begging liberals to go on this show offering them $5000 an appearance - Dave Packman, Sam Seder and Ana Kasparian all reported McInnes offered them money.
Selling out for $5,000. I guess we know his price to sit down with a Nazi, on two separate appearances.
Conclusion So if you consider everything. At best, he is incredibly naive and easily taken in by Right-wingers which makes him utterly unsuited to any political position, let alone President. And more likely, he just doesn't give a fuck, and is cashing out. While also being a crank.

2023.06.06 20:47 serpentquidanse (Advice needed) - Bottom leaves of my monstera turning yellow
| Hello, house plants community. I have posted this in the monstera community, but thought I might get more exposure if I share on this subreddit as well. I’m in dire need of your opinion. Several bottom leaves of my beautiful monstera deliciosa started turning yellow, and I can’t pinpoint the problem. Everywhere I read, it could be anything from underwatering to overwatering and I can’t figure out what to do to diagnose it, or if maybe this is normal, the plant is healthy and I’m just overthinking. For context, I’ve had it for one year, bought it in this pot which didn’t have drainage holes, so I made sure to water it carefully, and was using a bamboo stick to check whether the soil was still moist (not the most scientific method, but it worked). Then in the past month, it had two bottom leaves turning yellow, which I thought might be too quick compared to before, so I decided to check for root rot and use the occasion to drill drainage holes in the pot (which was long due). Fast forward to now, and three of the bottom leaves on the bigger stem are turning yellow (circled in the photo), one leaf I have already removed last week, and another one is yellowing on the smaller stem (there are two ‘plants’ in the pot). At this point it could also be the ‘transplantation shock’ since I changed the soil; maybe due to lack of drainage holes I was too cautious with watering that I ended up under watering. Idk 🤷♀️ It’s my favorite plant in the house, it’s the first time I own a monstera, but I love it so much, especially since it’s such a big and beautiful one. I really hope it’s not dying and I’m just overreacting 😭 Sorry for the long text, tried to include everything. If you have any input I will highly appreciate it 🙏🙏 should I remove the leaves? I checked and there don’t seem to be any signs of infestation. The soil I’ve got has a ph of approx. 6, mixed with a bit of pearlite and orchid bark, for better drainage. Thank you! submitted by serpentquidanse to houseplants [link] [comments] |

More of the Company he keeps Other assorted people, he hangs out with
He is of course a constantly returning guest on Bill Maher.
https://twitter.com/cassiepmillestatus/1138583273242857472 I wish "Milo Yiannopoulos, Gavin McInnes, and Cornel West walk into a bar..." was the beginning of a joke, but I'm sorry to report that it is actually real life
He decided the prime place to announce his candidacy is on ... Russel Brand. Who went full anti-vaxx and Pro Russia.
https://twitter.com/CornelWest/status/1666114005877010432 https://twitter.com/themattdimitri/status/1543780892241543171 Hate group founder Gavin McInnes asks Cornel West to name an American fascist West: There's a spiritual fascism inside all of us... as a Christian I see it inside of myself Candace Owens: The Klan were Democrats West: Yes, they were [As if MLK had no idea of that history of Dems]

2023.06.06 20:42 arielrae42 Break up because of your infidelity? I will make you regret everything.
I (then 22F) was dating (then 22M), lets call him Andrew, for 2 years. Andrew and I met through a roommate finding website. At the time I had gotten into a situation where my father kicked me out and I was left homeless for a while. During the days that I was sleeping in my car, I had received a message from him giving me the opportunity to rent a spare room in his house which his stepfather owned. We had agreed I would pay him the deposit and would pay him the month's rent in 2 weeks after. We lived together for 2 months before he confessed his attraction and I found the financial opportunity. Yes, it does sound horrible but at the time I had a job and he didn't which meant that I could rely on 2 incomes to stay afloat. After about 2 months, his father informed us that we would have to look for a new place as he was selling the house. We immediately found an apartment which he insisted on because several of his friends lived in the complex. For context, the apartment lease was for a total of 13 months. I forgot to mention, during the 2 years my then bf and I were not what one would think as "sexual" he never wanted me physically although I tried to be very vocal of what I wanted and looked for even though he claimed he was tired or busy. Fast forward several petty arguments and disagreements regarding finances he expressed to me that he wanted a "break" from living together for a few months. I disagreed as all of my expenses were going towards the apartment in with both our names. He begged so much I gave him 2 weeks which I would spend with my family in another city. During this time he was radio silence from him and I had a horrible feeling that something was wrong. I had decided to come home a few days earlier early in the morning. He normally worked for restaurants as a server or bartender so he wouldn't be going to be until 4 or 5 am. I arrived at 7:30 am to find him in bed with another woman both with only the blanket to cover their bodies. I will not going into details but I was heartbroken, I knew he had female friends all which had come over, slept over, and even had joined us for trips and dates. I did not wake them up as we had 2 dogs and one which was with him had recognized me and begged for attention. I had let him out while I came back inside quietly pulling out one of his playing knives. I quickly grabbed his phone from the nightstand. I searched his phone for any other evidence to find several other conversations with different women with explicit videos, photos, address, and conversations. I forwarded all evidence to myself and deleted the evidence. I placed his phone back on the night stand let the dog back in and left. I waited outside for her to leave. I went inside when he saw me with the knife in hand all he could ask is "You aren't supposed to be home for another few days..." I answered with a simple who is... He crawled out of bed begging for my forgiveness. He did not admit to anyone else only to the girl I saw in our bed. He began to mumble saying he was unsure of himself and was blaming intoxication. I let it go and pretended that everything was fine. A week went by when I received a call from an unknown number claiming to be his "gf" I could only bring myself to say "That's odd he never mentioned you". She explained everything and was crying since she believed she was pregnant and was not sure what she was going to do. I calmed her and asked her if she was willing to abort, which she quickly replied with yes. This gave me hope to give him a scare. As time passed she confirmed she it was false. With all the evidence I cornered him. I aske him if he was ready for me to leave him and begged and cried like a child who's mother took away their favorite toy. This gave me an option that I blindly accepted thinking he learned his lesson.
After a year of all the cheating, lying, and even manipulation I could only bring myself to go through the motions. He expressed to me he wanted to have the freedom of being single but stay with me, in other words he wanted an open relationship for himself only. He also wanted me to leave and have my own apartment in which I could not agree since again we had another lease that did not allow me to break out of easily. All I mustered up was to call my mother and ask for her help to pay for my ticket home.
This is where things take a turn for the worst for him… during this last argument I received a message from an old fling which I stayed in contact with over the span of 8 years. I confided in him, lets call him Drake , and explained everything. Now this may sounds like a revenge tactic but it wasn’t before I dated Andrew, me and Drake had confessed our feelings and he had always discussed the want to pursue a relationship with me. All the feelings came rushing back and the memories were flooding in. At this time he had a child with his first relationship in which we had decided not to pursue a relationship because of. I only had the eager feeling of being wanted and flattery. The intensity of our passion in the bedroom was like rabbits which I always seek for in my partner. I informed him of my situation and which I would be returning home in only a few weeks. I was eager and giddy like a child when they know they are about to ride their first rollercoaster at Disney. Yes, you read that right... I was excited for someone to want me physically. Because of the depression and anxiety the relationship had brought onto me I had gained almost 75 lbs in only 2 years. With only a few weeks away from seeing the man that gave me butterflies I began to diet and go to the gym as often as possible, I gave myself a massive makeover before leaving for good. As the weeks passed he began to notice my changes in behavior and my physic, he complimented my efforts but made it known that changing my appearance would not make him change his mind. I never told my then boyfriend of my plans and only went on my days like nothing. About 2 days before my flight I brought everything to the table and let him know I was leaving for good and I would not be returning until he fixed his issues. I let him know all of my thoughts and made it clear to him I wanted nothing more than just to fix the issues, leaving out the details of my new adventure awaiting. I had asked he drop me off at the airport the day of my flight and to my surprise he agreed and walked me in. He was visually upset as I had a slight grin on my face. As I was ready to head into security check he pulled me and squeezed crying like a child begging I not go. I could only hold in my laughter as he kneeled in front of the airport crowd staring at us. As I pushed him in the elevator, I could only repeat to him "get better and then we will talk". As the elevator doors closed I ran to the security check and made it on time to my flight. About 2 days after arriving my phone was flooding with messages and calls from him begging I return home. I went on several dates with Drake, met his daughter, his family, and he met my mother. We made our relationship official and finally I had gotten my dog back in my custody where I then dropped the bomb on him. I left him in shock and crying asking how I could lie and treat him that way. He but only had received a quarter of he deserved.

2023.06.06 20:36 serpentquidanse (Advice needed) - Bottom leaves of my monstera turning yellow
| Hello, Monstera community. Thank you! submitted by serpentquidanse to Monstera [link] [comments] |

2023.06.06 20:22 WhiteHawk1022 Repair or replace wall AC unit?
We have what appears to be a pretty old wall AC unit. It works OK and cools most of the house on hot days.
It has its drawbacks though. One of the knobs broke last summer, so it's perpetually stuck on "medium." That hasn't been a huge deal. Today, however, the entire front of the unit popped off randomly when I opened our back slider and came crashing down. The grill is fairly rickety, and the filter looks like it needs replacing.
Do you all think it's worth servicing this unit, or would it be better to just go ahead and replace it?
Here are photos for reference. submitted by

2023.06.06 20:22 NotOmarTorrijos My experience of Bodmin Jail - spiritual attachment or past life memories?
In August of 2018 I visited the famously haunted Bodmin Jail with my family, aged 16. It wasn't until 2021, after a period of severe depression/anxiety that my brain started to allow me to put some pieces together, and I believe this visit to the jail left me with 'something'. I feel as though a part of the jail is still with me. I'm going to try and explain in the best way I can.
At 16 years old I wasn't a solid believer in the paranormal. I was into Paranormal shows, watched all the trashy ghost hunting shows out there, and had a large collection of books on the subject, but I'd never experienced anything with my own senses that I could confidently describe as paranormal. I was completely open to it, but I'd never experienced it myself. I also, thankfully, had no experience with mental health issues. I'd made it through school confident, grounded, perfectly comfortable with myself, and looking forward to the future. Hopefully this will give you some context to what I'm about to try and describe.
Flash forward to a family holiday to Cornwall in 2018, and we'd decided to visit Bodmin Jail, having seen photos online of the incredible abandoned wings of the prison, overgrown with ivy and slowly decaying behind the layers of moss. We'd visited many similar sites over the years and although prisons have an inherently spooky vibe to them, something about Bodmin felt immediately different to me. I remember feeling as though I could easily have maxed out a heart rate monitor as we walked through the gates into the courtyard. My memory of the building and our tour around it is a little fragmented since it took place 5 years ago, but I'll try my best. I recall first descending narrow stairs with a cast iron handrail into a basement section of the building. Once in the lower levels, I felt a sudden wave of complete emotional overload. It felt as though I could physically feel all of the emotions of the building; the air felt like it was squeezing my stomach and I felt completely dissociated from my surroundings. It's one of the worst sensations I've felt to this day. I described it to my girlfriend like the feeling you get in a nightmare where not just events or places are bad, but your entire being is bad; you're existing on a plane of reality constructed from pain and fear. Something I felt specifically in the basement area is the sense that things happened there which are not known about. As if all of the people who suffered there were screaming out that there were crimes committed against them in those lower levels of the building which were never discovered; forms of abuse or punishment which were far more extreme and perverted than what is common knowledge about prisons of the era.
Other parts of the jail felt terrible still, but none as hopeless and dark as the lower levels. The only other area which felt comparable to the basement was an area located at the entrance to the naval wing of the jail. I vaguely remember an entrance to a shaft of some kind, possibly a lift or chimney, which has a very foreboding aura about it. Interestingly I felt completely disconnected from the execution pit on display there. On paper this should be a more sinister part of the tour, but I remember feeling far less suffocated there, and as if a part of my subconscious recognised the area as 'wrong'. A voice in a deep part of my brain was telling me "wait, this isn't how it looked". I've never experienced a feeling like it.
In the months following, I began college, and not long after my first term, began experiencing things I'd never felt before. Moments where I would again feel the same sense of darkness and panic that I did in the basement of Bodmin Jail, days where it felt as though my brain was trapped somewhere, but my body was free. I remember occasions where I cried out of the blue for no reason. Nothing was happening in my life which would trigger these reactions, my life was going well by all accounts, although it did not stay this way in the coming years. By the following winter I had decided to see a therapist. I was struggling in so many areas of my mental health, most interestingly that I would panic in a space where I was 'shut in'. Classrooms with closed doors/busses/rooms with no clear exit. A therapist even told me once that my symptoms reflected those of someone struggling with PTSD, and explicitly listed an example of someone who had previously been incarcerated. Somehow I still didn't connect the dots; the visit to the jail had not crossed my mind for a long time.
During my recovery from this period of depression, I developed an interest in meditation and spirituality. Meditation was without a doubt one of the most powerful tools to my recovery and I inevitably found myself researching different types of meditation practices. One day I decided to follow a guided meditation track designed to help you to recall images from past lifetimes. Whilst I never came to any meaningful conclusions about past lives, I did encounter several very vivid images whilst doing the meditation, which I drew on scrap paper immediately afterwards. One image, a clock tower, seemed oddly familiar. At some point that day, it dawned on me that the clock tower was in fact the clock tower located not far from Bodmin Jail, near a set of roundabouts in the village. All of the memories the jail, the visit, and the sensations I felt there came back to me, and I felt completely engulfed, the same way I felt in the basement of the jail. I spent time researching the jail, and discovered after a while that the clock tower stands were the original town gallows were located, before gallows were constructed inside the prison walls.
It took me a good while to reach the conclusion that the visit to the jail way well have been the trigger for all of the emotional turmoil I went through. The random intense feelings I continue to encounter occasionally out of the blue of angefeahopelessness/being trapped/feeling betrayed may not be as random as I'd previously thought. I think I'm still in the slow process of accepting that I didn't leave from that jail alone. Something came with me, be it the memories and feelings of another who suffered there, or my own memories and experiences from a previous lifetime. Either way, my life has been different ever since. Although mentally I made a good recovery (despite 2 years of hell), I have never felt the same. Like sometimes I'll be enjoying a good day, and something just materialises inside me and I'm right back in those basement levels. I feel scared, trapped, sick, cold, angry...and then it vanishes as quickly as it came. I've seen other posts on Reddit about this location, and I'm hoping to hear some other stories about it. If you've visited the location or have any kind of experience with attachments or past life memories, please comment. I'd love to hear your stories. Thank you for taking the time to read.
Some further interesting points:
- since visiting the jail I have developed a love of sunlight, which I never had before. I feel compelled to be out in the sun any time I get the opportunity, and if something prevents me from doing this it makes me really irritable. I didn't realise until recently just how driven I have to get sunlight all of the time.
- I happen to live on an estate owned by the direct living descendent of the high sheriff of Bodmin, on the other side of the country. I grew up playing in a park which quite literally used to be the high sheriff's garden. His manor house still stands. An interesting coincidence

2023.06.06 20:21 Fun_Organization_647 The big missed opportunity...
You went to the Apple store. You tried on a headset that 1000 other people have worn (ick.) You shelled out 3500. You get home, unbox, hook up your ball-and-chain battery tether, and don your ski-goggles.... and now you are immediately greeted with...
A 2D windowing system and app grid? 2D photos? 2D messaging and 2D web pages? You get my drift...
Apple achieved a lot with this debut, but I'm disappointed that Apple of all companies was not more imaginative, novel, and most especially playful in envisioning what could be done in manipulating and enhancing the world around us. Instead, they just ported over and multiplied/amplified a bunch of "flatworld" screens from the world around us, missing the huge, one-time, 1984-ad sized opportunity to liberate us completely from those screens.
The only reason "windows" exist in the first place is because Xerox and Apple needed a means for people to interact with a flat screen and a flat controller (mouse.)
To my mind, Apple completely missed the boat here by not seizing on the opportunity to immerse the user in a 3D-first interaction paradigm. Golden rule: *nothing* should be flat in AVR. Did they even get in a room and brainstorm art-of-possible? Or just start copy-pasting their MacOS components and frameworks into visionOS?
Let me play visionOS Product Owner for 10 minutes...
As a spatial-computing avid book reader, I want to physically hold a real book in my hands, but have my e-book or PDF rendered page-for-page on top of the physical book pages.
As a spatial-computing music lover, I want to pull a record from the virtual shelf (driven by my itunes/spotify libraries) and lay it on my virtual record player. (Or cassette deck. Or 8-track if you like.)
As a spatial-computing business user, I want to view a spreadsheet rendered on this piece of paper on my desk. Let me pick it up, point to individual cells as if it were a printout, etc.
As a spatial-computing first-time adopter, surprise me! Flood my native experience with novelty - something to talk about and brag about with my friends. Render in my space something intricate, realistic, interesting and surprising that is visually appealing and/or a joy to interact with.
As a spatial-computing user with secrets to keep - Put a safe/vault in my room with a dialed combination lock.
As a spatial computing user, I need a brain break. Put a virtual zen garden filled with sand, rocks and a rake on my desk. I'm digging this - super-size it to overlay on my area-rug.
As a spatial computing news reader, overlay my News app content on my real-life newspaper as I hold it in my hands. Mimic the formatting and typography of a newspaper on the fly using content from my feed.
As a spatial computing user, I can add things to my house my wife might not otherwise allow! Let me play pinball in my office in between meetings (Leverage that bouncy-glow wall technology!) And put Pacman/Galaga retro arcade cabinet in my basement / mancave.
As a spatial computing user, I hope to add expensive features to my home I could not otherwise afford. Let me add a water feature to my hallway and tend a garden in my bay window.
As a spatial computing user and web3 enthusiast, allow me to overlay my NFTs on my picture frames.
As a spatial computing user and organization freak, let me sort digital files into folders by grabbing and dropping into an endless 3D filing cabinet.
As a spatial-computing user and eco-enthusiast, I don't want to waste trees, but I love the control I feel when I hold a document as I read. Make any program with a print-interface route to virtual paper that "prints" out of my real printer (or optionally a virtual printer) and let me virtually pick it up and read it.
As a spatial-computing user and escapist, I seek soothing diversion. Let me sculpt on my desk with textured 3D magnetic tan-grams.
As a spatial-computing user, I'm bored with the scene outside my window. Let me put visions of Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan outside my window - cast light and sound from corresponding weather patterns on my walls, follow day and night. Let me add an extra window if need be.
As a spatial-computing user, I'm still called on to use my legacy computer several times a day, but I don't want to have to keep taking off my headset. Allow me to overlay a traditional macOS experience on ANY laptop screen so I can use the bouncy, tactile responsiveness of the traditional keyboard and mouse.
As a spatial-computing user, "selecting" an app should be like picking up a tool out of a tool chest, a pencil from a pencil holder, or a toy out of a toybox. No floating icon grids.
As a spatial computing user, let me sit in my car and render me at a drive-in. (Safety notice to NOT turn on the car...)
(Ok Redditors - you take over from here... one rule only: Dream in *3D* only - no flat-world transplants)
....
Take all of these 2D-equivalent metaphors we've developed over the years and put them back into their raw 3D object equivalents BY DEFAULT. Only resort to 2D paradigms and windows *as a last resort*. Let's build this new computing paradigm *from the ground up in 3D*... bridge to the old "flat world" only as a last resort and on-ramp.
...
Or... you know ...just sell me a floaty-2D-window machine... just like Meta (Quest), Microsoft (HoloLens) and Google (Glass) did.

2023.06.06 20:21 CuntinentalBrekkie 29M UK/Anywhere [Chat] - Looking for someone with decent conversation and decent banter to hang out with.
Heyyy, thanks for taking the time to check out my post & I hope you find at least part of it interesting enough to send me a message. Anyway, without further ado...
I'm coming at you live from the sunny UK (no joke, it's literally blistering this week for some reason and I AM SUFFERING). As much as we can all appreciate a good bit of sunshine, it's nice in moderation but our houses are designed like little hotboxes, the heat stays in so i'm currently typing in shorts and a wife-beater whilst an industrial fan that I got cools me down - hot, right?
My sleeping pattern is just as inconsistent as Marvel Studios is with their quality. I'musually up at all hours (I do work but it's flexible to a degree) so am happy to speak with anyone from anywhere. All I ask is that you're patient and understanding of timezones and...life in general. I've spoken with individuals in the past who have flew off the handle if you don't reply on their clock, so I appreciate someone who's horizontal levels of laid back please.
I like to travel and enjoy snowsports, both of which go hand in hand. As a result, I've been fortunate enough to travel all over Europe many times. Aside from travelling for that, I like to visit new places from Greece to the Czech Republic to Spain and so on. Also been to the US a few times but would really like to visit Japan or Norway one day, maybe Brazil but my pale self would probably incinerate over there. What's your dream destination?
Gaming is a big hobby of mine and I currently play on PS2/3/4/5, Switch & PC. I'd say what games I play but I hop between far too many at once, though I've been blasting Diablo IV and Street Fighter 6 recently. Phasmaphobia is always a good laugh and if you know of Hunt, you're an absolute champ. If you play, what are some of your favourite games?
When it comes to music, i'll listen to anything and everything, really, so feel free to be the DJ on any and all future road trips whilst I drive. Which brings me on to the next one - I love driving and going on the occasional road trip or spontaneous day/weekend out. Any song recommendations?
Movies too, anything and everything, though I do have a bit of a soft spot for horror despite the genre being completely dragged through the mud time and again. Fallen off of Marvel movies recently since they seem to have ZERO SENSE OF DIRECTION following Endgame, but I'll gladly re-watch SOME of them. The BIG BALLER Franchise is, and always will be...Star Wars (despite what Papa Disney did to the movies with VII-IX). Tell me your favourite movies!
I have a keen interest in the paranormal despite being mostly skeptic, I'd say more of an optimistic skeptic would best describe my outlook. Got any scary stories to share? Also enjoy learning about animals and different periods in history. Conspiracy theories are always a good laugh too. What's the wildest one you've heard of?I like to practice martial arts and watch the UFC and Boxing on occasion & as always, good olde WWE is never a dull time, can always stick it on for a little and have some degree of entertainment. Do you watch or play any sports?
Cats, dogs and nope ropes, I have all the pet pics for you. If you have any pets/fur companions, I would LOVE to see them.
I also like to cook and experiment with food. I'll try anything twice and am an average food challenge enjoyer, though I'm not quite Man V Food levels of food challenge.
Please send me your name, age and location in your opening message. A photo would also be appreciated BUT I do understand that this is Reddit and some degree of apprehension/caution is understandable, so don't worry if you aren't comfortable right off the bat. Ideally if we get on well, I would like to move platform preferably to Discord.
If you actually read all of this, I appreciate you. Have a great morning/afternoon/evening & I hope to hear from you.

BRANDYWINE, Md. - A man faces several charges for using a dating app to set up meetings with victims who he allegedly raped or robbed in Prince George's County.

According to investigators, Richardson is accused of using a fake name on Tinder to set up meetings with his victims.

Police claim that during the encounter, Richardson also stole the victim's phone and wallet.
Police said then on February 10, Richardson met another adult male victim through a dating app. The incident was reported to officers on Sunday.
The victim met with Richardson at a church before getting into his car and going to his house.
Once at the house, the Richardson allegedly tied the victim's hand, told him to lay down in the trunk and began raping him at gunpoint.
Police said Richardson watched the victim throughout the night, before forcing the victim on the next day, to drive to a bank and take out more than $4,000 for Richardson.

2023.06.06 20:19 NotOmarTorrijos Bodmin Jail - spiritual attachment or past life memories?
