Memory transcription subject: Tarlim, Venlil Civilian Date [standardized human time]: April 4, 2143 I don’t know how long I was in hiding for, I just remember hearing the screams of people outside before falling asleep when it all died down. I got up from the floor and peaked out of my closet to see if there was a break in before leaving it entirely. I checked my front door to see if the locks were still locked and, luckily enough, it was still intact. I set out a sigh of relief before walking back to my living room and slumping back down on my couch. I took my medication as I picked up my datapad from the floor, hoping everything that happened earlier was just a bad dream. The first thing I noticed was that my pad spat back an error message. That was strange, the infrastructure was too developed to not have net access in the middle of a city.
Glancing up towards the window, I noticed a strange red hue coming from behind the curtain. I set my pad down on the couch as I got up and walked to the window. I could feel my paws begin to shake as I grabbed the curtains. Anticipating the worst, I hesitantly opened the curtains and peaked outside. It was worse than anything I could have expected: The remains of dead Venlil littered the street below as more continued to pile on. Orange blood coated the surrounding building walls as mutated Venlil ripped apart anyone they got their paws on. One of them eventually came across a mother and child attempting to hide underneath the surrounding rubble. It didn’t hesitate to attack the woman before another mutant came by to try and steal its catch. They fought each other relentlessly, trying to keep her in their grasp. Their claws tore deeply into her skin and muscles as they fought, causing her to scream from the unimaginable amount of pain. She took one last look at her child and yelled at him to run before her throat was torn off.
The child ran for his life, dodging around rubble and mutants and for a brief moment, I thought he might make it! Then a mutant Krakotl swooped down over him, a barbed tendril emerged from its beak and stabbed the pup in the shoulder. Screaming in pain he was lifted into the air as the mutant flew off to Protector knows where. As I swept my gaze across the city, similar scenes played out: survivors ran through the streets, slipping on pools of blood as they were pursued by packs of mutants; doors and windows were smashed to pieces as people looted for supplies; buildings were engulfed in flames as malfunctioning fire traps and improvised weapons were set off; mutants of every conceivable species rampaged through the city, attacking everyone they could find.
I fell to my knees as I vomited from the sight of the massacre outside. The blood, the gore, it was too much! My consciousness was escaping me as my heart pounded in my chest. I was hyperventilating, I was going to die, everything swirled around I was, I couldn’t-
Focus. Breathe. Calm. Forcing the tirade of emotion back I shakely I got back up and looked back outside, only to lock eyes with one of the mutant Venlil. Its head turned to stare at me, its eye solid black with streaks of red running through it. For a moment, we simply stared at each other, before it started to run towards my apartment complex in a strange loping gait. It was picking up speed with every step and soon ran on all fours, galloping over rubble and trappling eviscerated corpses. I stumbled away from the window and ran to my door. There was no spehing way that I was fighting that thing. Right when I unlocked it, I heard the shattering of glass behind me. In the corner of my eye I could see the monster clambering through the window, shards of broken glass tearing at its flesh. I went through the door as fast as I could as it regained its posture. The moment I closed it behind me, I heard a loud thud behind me, signifying the mutant had attempted to lunge at me, ‘How the speh did it reach my window!? I’m four stories up!’ I thought before running down the hallway.
As I ran down through the hallway, I could see the place was in ruin: the walls that lined the hallway were torn and covered in streaks of Venlil blood as the lights above flickered unrhythmically. I zigzagged from door to door, looking for somewhere to hide, but every apartment was locked. I soon heard the bang of a door being knocked off its hinges from down the corridor. I felt my heart pounding, threatening to burst out of my chest at the exertion, but I pushed on. I briefly considered the elevator upon reaching the end of the corridor, but realized power to it was most likely cut. I ran to the stairwell and raced down it as fast as I could, taking two or three steps at a time. I could hear the creature burst into the stairwell as soon as I reached the first floor. That thing was fast, too fast.
I ran through the hallways of the first floor and saw that most of the apartments had already been broken into. The people who used to live here are either dead, mutated, or in hiding. I could feel my legs starting to ache from running so fast for so long, but I couldn’t stop. I could feel my quads beginning to tear underneath my skin as my heart pounded vigorously. I could try to hide in one of the open apartments, but what difference would that make? I would just be waiting to die. I can’t keep running like this, I need something to defend myself with.
As the pain within my legs began to set in, I decided to run into one of the open apartments anyway to escape that thing. Upon entering, I ran through the ruined apartment and went straight into the bathroom to hide. I closed and locked the door as quietly as possible before taking stock of the room. Compared to the rest of the apartment, hell the rest of the complex, it looked disturbingly normal. I looked around for a few moments to see if there was anything I could use in case that thing does find me, but there was nothing. Then I noticed a window looking out onto an alleyway. I went to the window and fumbled at the latch and pushed it open. Quickly crawling my way through, I stumbled slightly as I hit the ground. Looking around, I spotted an abandoned shipping crate sitting against the wall. I shifted my weight and prepared to run when I heard the cracking of splintering wood behind me. I sprinted down the alleyway and slid behind the crate without bothering to look behind me. There was more cracking and splintering and the twisted pants of the mutant. Cautiously peeking around the crate, I saw it stepping out of the window frame. The shattered remains of the window sitting on the floor below it. It stalked down the alleyway towards me, its eyes scanning for any sign of its prey. Ducking back behind my crate, I frantically searched for anything I could use to fight. As I shuffled further behind the crate, I felt my paw brushed against a discarded wrench. someone had likely been performing maintenance on the exterior pipes and the wrench had been left behind. Gripping it tightly, I got myself into a crouching position and prepared to move at a moment's notice…
After a moment of silence, I heard a woman’s voice, “Tarlim, are you there? I heard a window break from around the corner,” she said
My ears peaked up at the voice, could that be…
“Barlen?” I said quietly.
“Barlen, keep your voice down!” I called out, I didn’t want her to get killed.
“Sorry” she replied, more quietly this time.
“There was a mutant crawling around here,” I told her.
“I saw it, it went the other way, it must have seen easier prey,” she responded.
I let out a sigh of relief and slowly got up to my feet, leaning against the crate, the wrench hanging loosely at my side.
“Thank the protector, it’s good to see a friendly face…”
I looked up, and sitting on the crate, was the creature.
“It’s good to see you too,” it said, perfectly mimicking Barlen’s voice.
Its three petaled mouth opened wide before pouncing at me. In a stroke of luck my body twisted and smacked it across the head with the wrench in my hands. It was hit so hard so quickly, I knocked out a couple teeth before it fell limp next to me. I took a few steps back before repeatedly hitting it in back of its head with the wrench in my paws. I don’t know how many times I did it, I just kept going until brain matter was exposed.
When I was sure it was dead, I fell back against the wall and sat down as I dropped the wrench next to me. I could feel my heart beginning to pound from exhaustion as I tried catching my breath.
Thoughts began to race through my mind as I stared at my paws in horror. This thing was not only incredibly fast and agile, but it was also capable of replicating voices. ‘How did it know Barlen’s voice, and how did it know it would work on me?’ I thought for a moment before remembering the press release prior to all of this. They showed a living planet, no bigger than a large moon, sitting motionless in the sky above as it formed an eye. I still remember the feeling it gave me: the horror was so great, I tried to convince myself before falling asleep that none of this was real; all of this was just a bad dream and I needed to wake up, but I knew that wasn’t true. I slowly turned my gaze up towards the sky and saw that thing looking down at us, looking down at me.
What if the reason why the mutant was able to figure out what voice to use to draw me out was because it wasn’t on its own? What if all those infected aren’t senseless monsters, but they were that thing’s puppets. They all bend to its will without question, and I have a reason to believe it can see through their eyes too.
The sound of distant roars quickly snapped me back to reality as I sat with my blood covered paws. Picking up my bloodied wrench, I slowly made my way down the alleyway and out into the street. I could feel my heart screaming in pain at the recent exertion, not once have I ever pushed my body so hard in my life. Carefully peering around the corner of the apartment complex, I scanned the street before me. It was completely deserted and any possible living thing that was here is either dead or in hiding. I took one last look around before leaving the backstreet. Creeping between overturned cars and mangled corpses, I kept my eyes peeled for any more of those mutants nearby. I was in such a fearful state, I could feel my body tense up at every unidentified noise and shadow. Twice I spotted mutants prowling the streets, but I was able to avoid them by staying hidden. Eventually, I circled back to my apartment building after making sure the coast was clear. I kept my eyes peeled and listened closely to my surroundings as I made my way upstairs. I can see all the damage that thing left behind as it chased me. I’m glad I was able to kill that thing when I did because if it had caught me I would be more than dead. I eventually reached my apartment four stories up and looked in from behind the door frame. The room was a mess: shattered glass and ripped curtains littered the floor as my window remained permanently open; my furniture was broken and torn into as everything else beyond the living room remained untouched. I looked in the dining room and saw my pack was still sitting on the table. After checking my bag to see if my pills were still there, I quickly searched for any food and water before making my way back outside. I needed to find somewhere safe.
As I crept through another back alley, I tried to remember the directions for the shelter. We were supposed to memorize their locations in the event of a raid, but I had for some reason not been included in the regular drills. Fortunately, they were not that hard to find, which seemed like a possible design flaw in retrospect. My musings were interrupted when I felt my pad vibrate in my pack. Confused, I reached in and pulled out my pad. I was honestly surprised it was getting a signal now. I looked at the alert and it says as follows:
“This is an emergency message sent to any and all remaining survivors of Dawn Creek and abroad: all emergency shelters within the surrounding cities have been compromised and any surviving Venlil are to find a place to hide and a weapon to defend yourselves with. These creatures are incredibly strong and agile and will do everything in their power to kill you no matter the cost. If you want to survive, you must follow these steps to the word:
- When it is silent and a mutant nearby, stay still and hold your breath. These things have incredibly sensitive hearing and can hear your breathing from up to six tails (12 feet) away.
- Stay out of sight and make sure they don’t see you. It is said that all of these creatures are somehow connected telepathically and function as a hive mind. If one of them sees you then they all know where you are.
- Do not listen to them. If they fail to find you, they will mimic the voices of your close friends or loved ones in an attempt to draw you out. If you hear a familiar voice, do not respond.
- When faced with a mutant, you must kill or maim them if you want a chance to escape. If you don’t then they will continue pursuing you. These things do not get tired and can chase you for miles without end.
- If you survive an attack with an infected Venlil and they manage to breach skin or their bodily fluids enter your body in any way, it is recommended that you self terminate for the safety of the herd. It is estimated to take an eighth of a claw before whatever substance in said fluid enters the brain and converts you from the inside out.
May the protector save us all.”
I silently stared at the screen in mute horror after reading the last line. Every shelter in the area had been compromised and anyone taking refuge there was more than likely dead. Just how many died unable to escape as their friends and family were torn apart? The Arxur, on some level at least, killed for food, but these things didn’t do any of that: They don’t eat what they can and leave whoever left is alive to make more meat, they eviscerate any living thing they lay their eyes on in the most painful way possible. To say they’re as bad as the Arxur would be putting it lightly. These things are far worse than anything any species has come across. I looked up at the sky for a moment as I held my pad in my hands. Its eye staring down at us from above as it watches these creatures it has created mutilate my people.
‘If this thing is truly as powerful and dangerous as Tarva says, then just how old is this thing? How many species before us have been mercilessly slaughtered by it without a second thought?’ I thought to myself as I stared at the planet above.
Suddenly, I heard the sound of approaching footsteps from down the road. I felt my heart skip a beat before running to hide behind a turned over car. I pinned back my ears and cautiously looked over the side of the car and saw a small group of exterminators in their suits scouting the area. Not once in my life have I felt so happy to see them. I got out of hiding with my paws up to show I wasn’t infected. Upon seeing me, they put up their flamethrowers on the ready until one of them recognized me.
“Tarlim!? You’re alive!?” One of the Venlil exterminators exclaimed as he took off his mask.
“Treven!?” I exclaimed in response.
‘Of all the exterminators I could have run into, why him?’ I despondently wondered.
“I honestly thought a freak like you would die first. Seems like I was wrong,” Treven said mockingly, “How did you survive anyway?”
My grip on the wrench tightened. Even after everything that had happened, they still couldn’t let go of their prejudices.
“I don’t know. I guess I was lucky,” I replied simply.
Treven scoffed, “Was it the same luck that almost cost me everything?”
I stood silent at his response. I couldn’t believe that after everything he was still acting like this… this… stupid,
selfish PRICK! “Everything we've ever cared about, is gone.” I said, struggling to control my voice.
I spread my paws out, gesturing to the destroyed city around us.
“We’re facing down hordes of biologically impossible creatures controlled and created by an entity unfathomably more powerful than anything we’ve ever seen before!”
I noticed just then that I had been slowly stalking towards him, the wrench trembling in my paw.
“And your main concern is your SPEHING CAREER!?” I shouted.
Even now, this asshole still blames me for something HE did to himself. It was infuriating that this selfish speh was mad at me for losing his job even though they were the ones who almost killed Malcos!
I was about to shout again until one of the other exterminators, a white Venlil, came by and slapped Treven in the back of the head; the blow was hard enough to send him stumbling. Before he was able to respond, his mouth was covered by their coworkers' paw to keep him from speaking. It felt somewhat good seeing Treven put in his place, but I was confused on why. It wasn’t until he moved away from Treven when he decided to stay quiet and marched towards me with an annoyed yet fearful expression in his swaying tail. I was grabbed by the wool around my neck and pulled down to his line of sight before he started loudly whispering.
“Are you trying to get us killed!? We are literally at the ground zero and your shouting might have given away our position!” He quietly exclaimed, “We already had to deal with a horde on our way into the city and lost almost everyone. The six you see used to be a group of over two hundred exterminators!”
My heart sank after realizing what I had done: Not only did I possibly make our presence known, but this small group before me used to be multiple station's worth of exterminators. I was at a loss for words at my cluelessness and kept my mouth shut after I was let go. The Venlil in white soon signaled everyone in the group to continue moving forward and to keep their eyes peeled.
As we continued moving through the streets of Dawn Creek, we eventually heard the crunching of bone and sound of flesh being torn off from around the corner. The noise sent a chill up my spine and was extremely discomforting. I glanced at the exterminators surrounding me and saw them show a more fearful expression than me. If it was true that this group used to consist of a hundred exterminators, then they likely bore witness to seeing their comrades be torn to shreds first hand. Seeing something like that would be hard to live down, especially when the people you love are the ones being mauled to death.
The thought of what these people went through to get here changed how I saw them for a moment. Knowing what he had to witness, I began to rethink how I saw them when we crossed paths. I felt bad for them for a moment until I heard that loud crunch again, but this time it was louder.
The leading exterminator looked around the corner before continuing down the street. It was strange how empty the town was considering it was crawling with infected just a claw prior. They might have found new hunting grounds since this place is absent from life, but considering one of them has already seen me and the group there should have been at least a pawful chasing after us by now. They know we’re all alive, yet refuse to take action. Something is going on and I have a feeling it might pop up soon.
The sound of crunching became progressively louder as we quietly walked. The leading exterminator raised a paw, then slowly peered around the corner where the sound had come from. He stiffened suddenly, his entire body froze up before desperately diving back behind cover. Another exterminator, the mute one I think, grabbed him by the arm before he could collapse. The leader walked up to them, careful to not make any sounds that could attract attention.
“What’s wrong? What did you see?” he whispered to the point man.
He simply pointed back towards the crunching sound as his arm shook with fear. The leader’s tail swished in annoyance as he moved to the corner. Curious for myself, I followed closely behind him to take a look at whatever was out of view. He shot me a look of annoyance when I brushed up against him, but he didn’t object to me seeing. We both peered around the building towards the street with my face almost sitting on top of his head. My breath hitched in my throat as I saw what was standing there: feasting on a Mazic in the middle of a trashed shop was a massive, grotesque, monstrosity of a Venlil. It stood over 5 tails [3 meters] tall with tendrils of red flesh that shot through its bare skin. The muscles on its body were so large it seemed like they were on the edge of bursting out of its skin, and its enormous paws looked like it could wrap around my head with ease; its legs looked like they were about to explode from the sheer mass held within them. Not only that, but what separated it from the other infected was its face: it was the only one I have seen so far that didn’t have a split face like the others. This one was different for some reason; regardless, I didn’t want to get this thing's attention.
Placing a paw on the leader's shoulder we made our way back to the rest of the group. One of the exterminators walked up to us.
“What’s happening?” she asked.
“There is some kind of super mutant up ahead, we need to find a new route,” the leader whispered back.
“Well where are we going?” I interjected, “all the shelters have been taken out.”
“Before we found you, we sent out a distress signal in hopes anyone will come for us,” The leader responded, “We never got a response so we focused on trying to find a way out.”
“Do any of you have a map so you know where you’re going?” I Inquired
“No, unfortunately. Our pads ran out of power half a claw ago and we don’t have any physical copies, so we don’t know which streets to follow” The leader replied solemnly.
“I lived here for years, so I might be able to help you escape. Just follow me.”
I stepped out from around the corner only to see that the same monster from earlier was now towering over me. I slowly turned my gaze up from its bare stomach and looked at its blood covered face: it bared its large, razor sharp teeth as it stared at me with its circular pupils. I could tell one thing by just looking that it wanted only one thing, to feast.
My heart jumped upon locking eyes with it. I slowly backed away as my whole body trembled with fear. I tried to speak to tell the others, but I was too focused on the beast before me.
“Tarlim? What’s wr-” he cut off, most likely from seeing the creature now stepping out from behind the corner…
Everyone else began backing away after laying their eyes on this thing. Everyone was silent for a few moments until one of the exterminators began running and screaming. When the spell broke, the monster leaned forward and roared at us, causing nearby rocks and windows to tremble from its immense volume. Within a split second, it charged forward with its size hiding its speed; we dove out of the way as it rushed towards the running exterminator. The leader and Mute grabbed their weapons and tried to shoot at the monster, but it wasn’t enough to slow it down. Charging forward at an impossible speed, it soon reached the fleeing exterminator and grabbed the screaming Venlil with its massive paw. With a sickening crunch, it bit down and tore off a chunk of his head. The screams soon turned into senseless noises before it took another bite. His body soon went limp after his brain was completely destroyed. Once he was finally dead, the beast quickly chewed through the rest of the body until there was nothing left. The mutant stood still for a moment, its wet panting the only sound on the empty street. We all stood still ourselves, staring at the monster in horror. Then, swiveling around on its foot, it turned to look at us. Its red pupils glistened with overwhelming bloodlust as it stared from afar. It reared its head back and roared again before charging at us. The rest of our herd showered the creature in a hail of bullets as I frantically looked around for a way out. Spotting an industrial plant down the street, I quickly ran towards it and pried the doors open. The heavy machinery would make it harder for the beast to maneuver, I hoped.
“Quick in here!” I shouted towards the others.
As soon as I shouted, I inadvertently got the creature’s attention. Locking its red pupils on me, it charged towards me. I ran away for dear life into the facility only to feel its paws grab my leg with its vice-like grip. Before I could even attempt to free myself, it threw me across the street like I was nothing. I spun in the air for a few seconds until I landed on top of one of the turned over cars.
Upon impact, I felt some of my ribs break as both glass and torn metal stabbed into my skin. I lifted one of my bloodied arms and saw multiple pieces of glass sticking out of my wool with some of them big enough to go through the bone. I tried to scream out to the others for help, but the pain I felt from just breathing alone was already too much to bear. I looked over at them as they began running away from the scene. I saw the beast get down on all fours before pouncing towards the group with great speed. Despite their distance apart, it was able to close that gap in less than a second. One by one, it killed and tore them asunder with its large, powerful claws and razor sharp teeth until there were only the mute and leader left.
I managed to fight through the pain and get up from the wreckage with blood still dripping from my wounds and flowing down my body. I took a deep breath and shouted as loud as I could in their direction. It stopped what it was doing and looked towards me from afar. It stood on its hind legs and looked at me with a somewhat surprised expression.
“HEY! OVER-” I was quickly cut off from coughing up blood as I fell to my hands and knees, “over here!”
The internal damage done was too severe for me to push myself any further than I already have, but I needed to give the others time to leave. I got myself back up and locked eyes with the mutant.
Right when I did that, it did something strange: rather than run, pounce, or even roar, it quietly walked up to me with its blood covered claws at its side. I was confused about what was happening and I didn’t know how to react. Should I attack, should I run, what could I do that wouldn’t provoke it? Once it was within range, I reacted impulsively and hit it in the face with my wrench. Although I was able to cause a slight bruise, its head didn’t move an inch and the wrench was now destroyed.
‘Oh speh’ I thought for a moment before getting grabbed by my neck and lifted into the air.
I struggled to set myself free as I repeatedly bashed the deformed wrench into its arm. I could feel my windpipe get actively crushed as it slowly tightened its grip. I eventually dropped the wrench and started doing whatever else I could to set myself free: I kicked, clawed, and hit the beast as hard as I could, but to no avail. As I reached the edge of passing out, I heard a voice.
“Tarlim, look at me,” it said calmly with a deep, raspy voice.
I looked around for a moment before hearing it again, but this time it was in front of me.
“I want you to look at me, Tarlim,” it said once again.
I soon realized where it was coming from and who was saying it once I looked at the mutated Venlil. It was that creature who was speaking.
“You did everything you could to try and get out alive, but you failed,” he said serenely “Now you’ll die knowing everyone you ever knew and cared about is gone.”
My eyes widened when it spoke. I tried to respond, but I wasn’t able to say a single word.
“I had fun chasing you and those exterminators, Tarlim, but now it's time to move on.”
Its mouth opened wide, revealing rows of razor sharp teeth layered on top of eachother. My vision was fading rapidly, and my body went limp as I accepted my fate. Just before I completely lost consciousness, I heard the faint roar of a ship's cannon and the crushing force around my neck vanished. I felt like I was sinking through an ocean as I fell to the ground, dull spikes of pain ripping through my shattered body. I tried to look up to see what had happened, but everything was too heavy, too dark

After five years since the award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swung into theaters and the hearts of fans around the world, the Miles Morales-led sequel has finally arrived in theaters to massive acclaim. Across the Spider-Verse continues to expand the animated franchise with a host of new Spider-People through a Multiversal group led by Oscar Isaac's Miguel O'Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099. Spider-Verse 2 comes as the first chapter of a two-part event featuring The Spot as the lead antagonist, with the story set to continue next March with the release of Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Where To Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Online:
Yes! Just not yet. Before the streaming debut of Across the Spider-Verse, Sony will likely release the film on demand through digital outlets, followed by a full digital, Blu-ray, and 4K release. And if any film needs 4K, it’s this one.
Netflix and Sony Pictures do have a deal in place, which means Across the Spider-Verse will premiere on Netflix before the end of the year. But an exact date is hard to pin down. At the very earliest, it probably won’t happen before September or October.
Watch Now: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) Movie Online Free Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple, or become available to stream on Netflix.
How can I watch Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse at home?
Yes! Just not yet. Before the streaming debut of Across the Spider-Verse, Sony will likely release the film on demand through digital outlets, followed by a full digital, Blu-ray, and 4K release. And if any film needs 4K, it’s this one.
Even though it's totally easier for us to web our way over to the couch, the film will first come out exclusively in theaters. This means it'll take a little while before you can watch it at home. But that doesn't mean it won't ever make it out into home video!
As of right now, the new Marvel movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse can only be watched in theaters. But it likely won't be long until the film swings its way onto one of the most popular streaming sites.
Unlike the other Spidey movies, it likely won't be on Disney+ as it's technically a Sony film and not Marvel. However, just like the first movie in the series, it will also be available on other streamers like Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, and more to rent and own at your leisure.
The animated movie is currently being distributed by Sony Pictures, the studio behind its predecessor and both the Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland Spider-Man film trilogies. While the studio owns the films, the rights to the Spider-Man franchise are technically in the hands of Marvel Comics, which is owned by Disney.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Theaters?
This film is definitely on the top of a lot of people's must-watch list of the year so it makes sense that there's going to be plenty of chances to catch it on the big screen. Make sure to check your local theater's showtimes to see when you can watch it, but if you plan on going during the first couple of weeks after release, you should be safe! But like any other movie, make sure you go whenever you can because it will have to swing its way out of theaters after a few weeks.
Unfortunately, we're here to confirm that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse doesn't have any credit scenes, despite being the first of a two-part story. There are some more gorgeous visuals to watch over the credits though, so you absolutely should stick around to watch them.
When Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be on Streaming?
Yes, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is available to stream. Just not on Netflix, Disney+ or any of the major streaming services. It’s truly baffling as to why Sony let that happen when the sequel is in theaters. For now, you can stream Into the Spider-Verse on Fubo TV and Sling. Direct TV subscribers can watch it, while cable subscribers can stream Into the Spider-Verse through FX NOW.
And if you're just hoping to see Miles again or want a refresher before you watch the sequel, you can watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse on streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, and the Google Play store. You can also buy it on DVD and Blu-ray, so you can always own it and never have to worry if it'll be taken off a streamer.
Still can't get enough? Well, there's also a Miles Morales video game. The story is a little bit different, but hey, we'll take any chance to hang out with our favorite Spidey. The game is available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, while a sequel is also in the works!
When will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse be streaming on Netflix?
Across the Spider-Verse should be headed to Netflix before the end of the year. The most likely month for arrival is sometime around November — because Sony’s biggest movies tend to make their way to Netflix around five months after their theatrical debuts.
As we covered in 2021, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be headed to Netflix as the service gets both Sony’s animation and live-action content via a first window deal struck in April 2021.
The deal stipulates that all Sony theatrical movies come to Netflix in the first window, which at a minimum, is 120 days after its theatrical release date. If it arrives exactly 120 days after, it’ll be streaming from September 30th, 2023.
With that said, given how big this movie is, we may see it release a few weeks after the fact. Either way, we expect the movie to be available between late September and November 2023.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be Streaming On Netflix?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is coming to Netflix approximately in December 2023. Based on these windows, the earliest fans could expect to stream Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Netflix is the end of September. Or, if the Spider-Man flick were to take a page out of Uncharted's book, audiences could be waiting until late November.
In 2021, Sony and Netflix signed a five-year deal that gave the latter exclusive first-pay-window U.S. streaming rights for Sony Pictures titles after their theatrical and home entertainment windows. Fans can expect to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Netflix six months after the film’s theatrical release, thus in December 2023. The date seems reasonable considering that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse dropped on Netflix on June 26, 2019, six months after its U.S. release on December 14, 2018. The pay-one window usually begins about nine months after a film’s theatrical release, but it might start earlier in particular cases.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be On HBO Max?
No, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.
Will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Be Streaming On Disney+?
The good news is Across the Spider-Verse will also be available on digital VOD platforms (like YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, and Vudu) sometime before it hits Netflix. and if you purchase it on one of those you’ll be able to watch it whether it’s on streaming or not.
As for how long the movie will be on the service, or which streaming service it might head to after it leaves Netflix, we’ll just have to wait and see. While it may seem surprising that a Marvel movie is headed to Netflix instead of Disney Plus, it’s important to remember that this is actually a Sony movie, not a Disney production. Because Sony doesn’t have a streaming platform of its own, it’s partnered with Netflix for exclusive initial releases on its movies. But that doesn’t mean they’ll stay there forever.
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is also coming to Disney Plus approximately in 2025. When the time comes to tune into Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Disney+, you'll want to make sure you have access to it first. The streamer currently offers a free 30-day trial, after which you sign up for plans that start at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. After that, just head on over to the title page on Disney+'s official website or the Disney+ app.
Once the pay-one window runs its time and Netflix’s exclusive rights expire, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on Disney Plus. The pay-one window might last as long as 18 months, which means it will be a while before Disney Plus subscribers can watch the much-anticipated sequel. Unlike in other countries, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse isn’t yet available on the Disney-owned streamer in the U.S. American fans will have to wait until 2024 to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and at least until 2025 for its sequel. We will update this post once there is an official Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Disney Plus release date.

Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new Marvel's animation movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

2023.06.09 20:47 Diligent-Toe-314 Elvanse titration
Hey guys, I’ve been going through titration for the last 4 weeks starting in 20mg,30,40 and now 50mg. 20 and 40 I noticed some benefits of me being able to focus and actually concentrate on one thing at a time but with the 30mg and 50, I hyper focus and very indecisive again also get a bit agitated. I am still due to go up to 60mg and then I think we will decide what works best. Anyone else had similar experiences like this? I don’t really have any side effects effects I sleep still and eat the same. When I go up another dose I feel abit stuck in my head for a day until it levels off and wondered how long does it take for your body to adjust.

2023.06.09 20:44 throwawayyy46252 The True Literary Genre of Usogui
Usogui is such a diverse and versatile manga that it can be very difficult to really tell what it is "about", what its main overarching lesson is, and what genre it even is. Sure, Usogui is a gambling manga, but to typify it as only gambling in genre does it a huge injustice and fails to answer so many loose questions. I think a better term to use when describing and identifying Usogui is Carnivalesque.
The concept of Carnivalesque was invented by russian literary philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin and is driven by the central ontological philosophy he believed in: dialogics, as opposed to dialectics, which treated language as active forces of civilization rather than systematic and statically defined monads. Literature that can be considered Carnivalesque are among some of the most renowned literature in the world, namely, Dostoevsky and Shakespeare. Being in this same category is one of the reasons why I think Usogui is so widely lauded, and so versatile in its thematic development.
There are four principles Bakhtin outlines in the Carnivalesque:
First, "Familiar and free interaction between people: carnival often brought the unlikeliest of people together, those ordinarily separated by impenetrable socio-hierarchical barriers. The suspension of distance between people encouraged free interaction and free individual expression."
Baku's purpose as a god-like mythological figure and his relationship with Kaji examples this well, as well as Baku's relationship with Souichi as Souichi was also incredibly high status. But on a general level, Baku's status is meant to remain invisible to the reader for the purpose of nullifying or "dissolving" hierarchies, which he does every time he challenges someone high ranking and eats them.
One of the big themes I noticed and appreciated most in this manga which portrays itself as serious, intense, and insane is the importance of the symbol of laughter. I think back on that scene during the protoporos arc with Baku, Kaji, Marco, and Kyara looking up at the sky practicing this same free expression principle, or right before Surpassing the Leader starts in CH.494 when the manga becomes self-aware and comments on the absurdity of everything, bringing laughter and self-expression back in before launching into another intense arc.
Second, "Eccentricity: with the dissolution of hierarchical relationships, ordinarily unacceptable behavior becomes acceptable. Behavior, gesture and discourse that are normally considered eccentric and inappropriate are encouraged, permitting 'the latent sides of human nature to reveal and express themselves.'"
Some examples of this kind of eccentricity in Usogui:
- Souichi - schizoid imagination
- Baku - obsession with kariume
- Manabe - consumption of raw eggs
- Tatsuki - idealization of being cremated, heelys everywhere
- Captain Lacy - balls hanging out, fetish for columbian neckties
- Abi Khan - turning people into weird homunculi
- Fukurou - burning himself for gambling
- The extreme violence of many of the characters may be considered eccentric
- The normalization of gambling is also a normalization of eccentricity
Third, "Carnivalistic mésalliances: the familiar and free format of carnival allows all dualistic separations of the hierarchical worldview to reunite in living relationship with one another — heaven and hell, the sacred and the profane, the high and the low, the great and the small, the clever and the stupid, etc."
Baku is neither good nor bad, the great (Baku) and the ordinary (Kaji) coexist, the clever (Baku) and stupid (Marco), heaven (Souichi; perfected God) and hell (Baku; avaricious "devil"), the strong (Kyara) and the weak (Baku).
Expanding on the permissibility of Baku in the first point, the archetype of the trickster is very important in Carnivalesque literature. Tricksters archetypally represent a supersession of boundaries, and a hidden intelligence that gives them the capacity to cross them at any moment. In Greek mythology this is represented by Hermes, a trickster God who regularly passes between the divinity of Olympus and the inferiority of the human realm to relay messages. In this sense, the trickster is meant to defy higher authorities with their wit and act as a force that equalizes polarities and brings them together, causing chaos. As aforementioned, this is most easily seen in the way Baku takes the most ordinary man (Kaji) and symbolically equalizes him with men at the top of society, or how this is expressed in any of the other polarities.
Baku is, in a sense, a catalyst for chaos to happen, the same way that chronotopes in Bakhtin's original theories are catalyzers for giving words meaning. Without Baku, nothing in the story necessarily has meaning because there is nothing else to catalyze it. On the significance of the word "chronotope" as well, it's direct translation means "space-time". Notice how often Baku plays with time (his final game quite literally being a trick based on time) and uses space to his advantage. Baku is the direct metaphorical embodiment of the chronotope, which is why he himself isn't so easy to understand as a character and thematic symbol, he is the one who gives meaning to others.
And fourth, "Profanation: in carnival, the strict rules of piety and respect for official notions of the 'sacred' are stripped of their power — blasphemy, obscenity, debasings, 'bringings down to earth', celebration rather than condemnation of the earthly and body-based."
A lot of this is supported in my analysis of the first principle. Baku's purpose as a character is to enact this "bringing down to earth" by metaphorically eating these high ranking figures in a battle of wits.
In this is also included another one of Bakhtin's ideas called the Grotesque Body, which is a celebration of the vulgarity and grotesqueness of the human body in order to align more completely with the naturality of it. I refer to the grotesque and completely exaggerated facial expressions and distortions of the body present throughout the manga that exemplify this grotesqueness, which are often in reaction to a massive move made by the opponent, or, in Baku's case, a feint.
Beyond the four principles, more analysis can be made:
"The primary act of carnival is the mock crowning and subsequent de-crowning of a carnival king. It is a 'dualistic ambivalent ritual' that typifies the inside-out world of carnival and the 'joyful relativity of all structure and order'. The act sanctifies ambivalence toward that which is normally considered absolute, single, monolithic. Carnivalistic symbols always include their opposite within themselves: 'Birth is fraught with death, and death with new birth.' The crowning implies the de-crowning, and the de-crowning implies a new crowning. It is thus the process of change itself that is celebrated, not that which is changed."
"Mock crowning and subsequent de-crowning" is a hugely significant motif in Usogui. On a small scale, the protoporos arc exemplifies this aspect of the Carnivalesque - and in a sense, is just like the "play within a play" in Hamlet in that it is the Carnivalesque within the Carnivalesque - with Baku literally crowning Vincent Lalo, de-crowning him, and then crowning himself. On a large scale, Souichi pillars the crown of Kakerou and Baku's entire mission is to de-crown him, and crown himself.
I actually view Souichi as a metaphor for dialectics (Plato, Hegel) and Baku as dialogics (Socrates, Bakhtin). Dialectics imply that there is identity-in-difference - a tree is a tree because it is not everything that isn't a tree - it becomes more absolute. This is Souichi, who in his search for the absolute and perfect truth of himself tries to find identity in differentiating his split egos (Hal, Hachina, Souichi), all the while he is nerfed with a constant forgetfulness of this truth. He is being forced to entertain a plurality of perspectives, thinking each perspective is the "absolute" given his present experience at any moment. Baku's purpose in Souichi's life is to help him realize the instability of absolution, to tear down what is dialectic with a fluid, dialogic way of thinking and being.
"Carnival was a powerful creative event, not merely a spectacle. Bakhtin suggests that the separation of participants and spectators has been detrimental to the potency of Carnival. Its power lay in there being no "outside". Everyone participated, and everyone was subject to its lived transcendence of social and individual norms"
Relates to the fluidity of narrative exposition in Usogui. We don't just see the thoughts and feelings of the players in the game, but those of the referees, or other observers who may be present. Everyone is included, even the reader, who is constantly being misdirected by this plurality of perspectives.
Polyphony is also a Bakhtin concept explaining how a plurality of perspectives creates true meaning. The plot is meant to create the "extraordinary situation" (the gambles) and the differences in thought are "tests" of truth, where everything is given an equal weight. This is exemplified in the plethora of different characters and their character themes throughout Usogui. I notice how when people talk about the meaning of Usogui, they cant tell what the "true" meaning of it is, but rather outline a ton of different themes embodied by a ton of different characters and discuss them in relation to themselves. This synergetic clash of unique themes and characters creates a polyphony that speaks to the human experience as people who are constantly trying to find an overarching meaning and truth to our existence through the exploration of our inherently polyphonic reality. There is no unifying, monologizing, perfect truth in Usogui. There is the question, gambling, and the test of this question in fiction. That is what it means to be Carnivalesque.

| Saw this after getting to double level and headed over, all excited to rack up the points. It was too good to be true. The rack was full because it wasn’t giving up bikes. When I put my key in, it would flash the yellow light, whirr for thirty seconds, and reject me. I got a handful of bikes by grabbing them when people docked. A couple of times, people were also able to take out bikes that had rejected me. Does anyone know what causes this and if there are any tricks to get around it? I even called to ask if the rack was offline and the operator said a few docks were, but there were functional docks. Why were some people able to take out bikes when I was not? What is happening when the yellow light is on and the dock is whirring? In my experience, if I get a yellow for more than five seconds, it’s going to reject me. I wish the docks would just tell me after five seconds instead of forcing me to wait thirty seconds before rejecting me. submitted by GravitationalOno to Citibike [link] [comments] |

How to Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
At the moment, you can watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at your local theater. But like most movies these days, it should hit a streaming website in the near future. Like its predecessor, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a flick produced by multimedia conglomerate Disney. What’s more, the production studio owns a number of other famous franchises, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars. Titles made under these umbrellas have both hit Disney+ sometime after arriving at the box office. Fans may also know the original Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently available to stream on the site as well. So, if the 2023 version follows the same pattern, folks will likely get to see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Disney+ later this year too. As for an exact release date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, that’s more complicated. Most movies produced by Disney often go to its streamer site within three months after debuting in theaters, like the most recent Marvel film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. If this is the case for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, it will probably drop in late August 2023 or sometime near Labor Day in early September.
When the time comes for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to splash onto Disney+ though, make sure you’re all prepared to watch it. If you don’t have access yet, you can opt into a 30-day free trial before choosing a plan that start at $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. After your account is all set, click on the title page on Disney+’s official website or the Disney+ app.
As you wait for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to hit the streamer, why don’t you watch the animated version and its sequel Spider-Man: into the Spider-Verse? Or if you want to immerse yourself in another live-action version, click on the 2019 ABC TV special Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Live!. Enjoy!
Where To Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Online:
As of now, the only way to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is to head out to a movie theater when it premieres on June 2, 2023. You can find a local showing on Fandango.
Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple, or become available to stream on Disney+.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse coming to Netflix?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is coming to Netflix approximately in December 2023.
This post will be updated once there is a 100% officially confirmed Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Netflix release date.
When Will Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Be Available On Netflix?
Regarding when the film will be available on Netflix, the answer is less definitive. The first film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, began streaming six months after its theatrical release. Based on this, it is safe to assume Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will see a similar gap between its cinematic and streaming releases. Given the film’s theatrical release of June 2, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will likely begin streaming on Netflix in December 2023.
This tracks with some of Sony’s bigger releases of 2022. Films like Uncharted and Bullet Train were released on Netflix six and five months respectively after their release in theaters. Of course, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse could have other elements that see it release before or after this tentative six-month period, such as underperforming or exceeding expectations at the box office. Although, based on Sony’s track record – including that of the first film – Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse can be expected on Netflix in the winter of 2023, likely December for a holiday release.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse coming to Disney Plus?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is also coming to Disney Plus approximately in 2025.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse comes from a joint effort of directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. The movie will swing into theaters on June 2, featuring the return of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, among others.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new animation movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service

2023.06.09 20:41 CraneStyleNJ So Close yet So Far Away.....
This is how I feel with every piece I complete. I'm improving every day and have came so far from when I started 3 years ago but it feels like I have much, much more to learn after every piece I do.
Does this feeling ever go away? Yes I started late (35) but it feels like I need another 5 or 10 years before making solid art and achieving my artistic journey.
AI art doesn't help either as I feel by the time I reach to where I want to be (making mistake free, fluent art) that thing will mature enough to handle specifics in which I wonder if I'm wasting my time doing what I love.
Also yes, I know it's not a race and I'm not supposed to comepare myself to other artists but I feel like I enetered the game too late and by the time I reach to the level of online expectation, those who have been doing the good stuff prior will naturally get better so I will always be behind.
Also I feel like by the time I reach the level of "good enough", I will be much older and my age won't allow me to keep up (unless I get in better shape). Plus if I continue down the path of doing fanart, the fanart I will do won't no longer be popular, relevant or if I do what is relevant at the time, I would be an old man doing it which would be a turnoff to any younger folk I would show my art to.
Maybe I'm worrying and I should still keep practicing but I would like to know of some of you feel the same way?

2023.06.09 20:40 citruspalm05 Moving up a level, Opinion?
Hi guys, just wanted to get your guys opinion. i’m currently at 49 hours and i’m about to enter the beginner level. However, i’ve already been watching beginner stuff and found it easy throughout my super beginner journey. After awhile, beginner videos felt painfully slow that I started watching intermediate videos. Some videos with intermediate I can understand the message and what is being told but some intermediate i understand nothing. I was thinking I should keep watching intermediate videos while also watching any beginner vid or super beginner vid that comes out. I feel like that would be most beneficial for my learning however I am not an expert on comprehensible input and my journey does not match the road map as i’m watching intermediate videos while only 49 hours in. So I wanted to ask advice from more experienced learners if it’s okay for me to continue watching intermediate at the lower level that I am?

2023.06.09 20:38 TortRx Food just isn't spicy enough
I love Thai food, and I love my Thai food extremely spicy. I had heard several stories about people not getting spicy enough food here and have learned all the phrases (phed maak maak, make it as spicy as you/a Thai person would have it) to try and assure my food comes adequately spicy.
Despite this, every dish that I've ordered so far while here in Bangkok has been underwhelming, with the slightest hint of chilli but no actual burn or pain. I doubt that myself and my local Thai joint at home are just "built different" and on a whole other level of spice from Thais, which leads me to the disappointing conclusion that wherever I order food they just assume I can't handle spice no matter what I tell them.
Does anyone know any hacks or good Thai phrases to bypass this sorta-gatekeeping and actually convince food service staff to make it hot enough for a Thai person when I order? I'm also considering if maybe I have just unluckily been to the most Farang street food markets and spots, so would be super grateful for recommendations for markets/stalls/restaurants that don't skimp on the spice.
I'm reeeeeally just craving a phad ka phrao that will make my nose run and eyes water before I depart Bangkok for Koh Samui.
For context, I'm half-Indian and ambiguous-looking enough to either seem Desi or Farang.

Watch Now: Spider Man: Across the Spider Verse Movie Online Watch Now: Spider Man: Across the Spider Verse Movie Online Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be in theaters beginning June 2. If you're wondering how and where you can watch it yourself, take a look at the information below.
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters the Spider Society, a team of Spider-People charged with protecting the Multiverse’s very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must set out on his own to save those he loves most. Anyone can wear the mask – it’s how you wear it that makes you a hero.
The much-anticipated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is only a few weeks away, and fans can’t wait to see the new adventures of Miles Morales. Once the Sony Pictures-produced movie ends its theatrical run, it will come to the most popular streamers, including Netflix and Disney Plus. But when is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse coming to Netflix and Disney Plus? Here’s what you need to know.
'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' features the return of Shameik Moore as Miles Morales and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy. Just before the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, producers of the feature have announced a couple of other projects. Producer Amy Pascal has announced a forthcoming third installment titled Beyond the Spider-Verse expected to be released next year. That is not the only project announced.
Paint-on-glass, Realistic Cartoon-style to Japanese Manga, makers explore not a couple but way too many animation styles! Shameik Moore’s Miles, in a way, gets a Star-Lord-like treatment in which he beautifully balances his character arc without overstepping the broader scheme of things. Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen finally gets a chance to narrate her side of things, and it mixes well with the ‘star-crossed’ relationship she’s currently sharing with Miles.
If you’re like just about everyone else on the planet who saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018 and loved it, you’ve probably been waiting for the sequel. You won’t be waiting long, as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is finally coming out in 2023, a full five years later. It’s been a long wait but by all indications the film is going to be a blast for fans of comic book movies, Miles Morales’ version of Spider-Man, and this new animated franchise featuring the iconic webslinger.
Modern cinema has seen the gap between theatrical and streaming releases shorten dramatically, begging the question of when Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will release online. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, streaming releases have been much closer to the theatrical release of films. While the mid-COVID marketing technique of releasing movies in theaters and on streaming services at the same time for an extra price is a thing of the past, the gap between the respective releases is still considerably shorter than in decades past.
While we currently don’t know the exact online release date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, we do know the movie will be released in cinemas worldwide, including the US and UK, on June 2nd, 2023. We know where to watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse online, but do we also know when? We can guess once again, assuming it charts the same theater-to-streaming path as Into the Spider-Verse did in 2018 with two months between the theatrical release and its digital renting/buying services. You may be able to buy or rent the movie digitally as early as late July of this year, with a physical release roughly a month or so after that, if not sooner. This also means that you will probably be able to stream Spider-Man: Across on Netflix in early December 2023, as it took about six months from Into the Spider-Verse’s release before the movie landed on the streamer.
When Is the Release Date for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was one of the many films to get hit by a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, moving from its original date of April 8, 2022, to October 7, 2022. That's the date seen in the above trailer, but the film has since seen another significant delay since then. Now the film is officially set for release on June 2, 2023. Hopefully, we won't see another delay, but if it means getting a sequel that lives up to the sky-high heights of the original, we'll gladly wait.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Theaters?
Not only was Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the subject of rave reviews, but it also pulled in some gargantuan levels of cash at the international box office, with a final tally that quadrupled the film's ninety-million dollar budget. With incredible success like that, it's only natural that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse would also be taking advantage of a theatrical release. That is the case, as the upcoming film will be exclusively available in theaters when it premieres on June 2nd, 2023.
When is 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' streaming?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse The home distribution rights for Across the Spider-Verse are in a rather interesting place. In April 2021, it was reported that Sony Studios had signed a multiyear deal with both Netflix and Disney for shared streaming rights to Sony films coming out between 2022 and 2026. This deal includes Across the Spider-Verse as well as the third film in the series, Beyond the Spider-Verse, due out in March 2024.
As for releases like Across the Spider-Verse, the film will be available on Netflix with "first-pay-window-rights" for the first 18 months of its home media release. While it will not be streaming concurrently with its theatrical release, it will be available on Netflix following its theatrical run.
Some of the films are not currently available on the service because Sony has pre-existing partnerships with Starz, as that's where most of the absent films are available to stream. That is except for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is instead only streaming on Fubo TV and FX Now.
For anyone else looking to watch the film as soon as possible, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters on June 2.

This post will be updated once there is a 100% officially confirmed Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Netflix release date.
When Will Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Be Available On Netflix?
Where will Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse stream specifically? Due to an ongoing deal between Netflix and Sony (remember that these movies are not produced by Disney), Across the Spider-Verse will see Netflix as the streaming home for the film when it finishes its theatrical run. It will no doubt make its way to Disney+ eventually, as Disney and Sony do have an agreement for Disney to include Sony’s Spider-Man content in their offerings, but that will at least be some time after Across the Spider-Verse has come out on Netflix.
In terms of which of the streaming giants Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released on, Netflix will house the film upon its streaming debut. While again, Sony does not have its own dedicated streaming service, a deal was struck in 2021 between the studio and Netflix. The deal, stating that Netflix would stream Sony's films after theatrical release, was penned for 5 years meaning Across the Spider-Verse is part of the arrangement.
Is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse coming to Disney Plus?
Yes, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is also coming to Disney Plus approximately in 2025.
While Sony's Spider-Man content is also streaming on Disney+, due to the collaborations between Sony and Marvel Studios in recent years, Across the Spider-Verse will be a Netflix release. While the deal struck between Marvel Studios and Sony may extend to this film, Disney+ is only allowed to begin streaming Sony's Spider-Man releases upon their release on Netflix. As a result, Netflix will be the first streaming service that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on after its theatrical release.
Regarding when the film will be available on Netflix, the answer is less definitive. The first film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, began streaming six months after its theatrical release. At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had other people raising eyebrows when he said that his long-awaited superhero debut in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts would be the beginning of “a new era” for the DC Extended Universe naturally followed: What did he mean? And what would that kind of reset mean for the remainder of DCEU's roster, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the rest of the Justice League, Suicide Squad, Shazam and so

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts neared theaters, though, Johnson clarified that statement in a recent sit-down with Yahoo Entertainment (watch above).

Is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Streaming on Disney Plus?
Unfortunately, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is not currently available to stream on Disney Plus and it's not expected that the film will release on Disney Plus until late December at the absolute earliest.
While Disney eventually releases its various studios' films on Disney Plus for subscribers to watch via its streaming platform, most major releases don't arrive on Disney Plus until at least 45-60 days after the film's theatrical release.
The sequel opened to $150 million internationally, which Disney reports is 4% ahead of the first film when comparing like for likes at current exchange rates. Overall, the global cume comes to $330 million. Can it become the year's third film to make it past $1 billion worldwide despite China and Russia, which made up around $124 million of the first film's $682 million international box office, being out of play? It may be tough, but it's not impossible. Legging out past $500 million is plausible on the domestic front (that would be a multiplier of at least 2.7), and another $500 million abroad would be a drop of around $58 million from the original after excluding the two MIA markets. It'd be another story if audiences didn't love the film, but the positive reception suggests that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will outperform the legs on this year's earlier MCU titles (Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder had multipliers of 2.2 and 2.3 respectively).
As for the rest of the box office, there's little to get excited about, with nothing else grossing above $10 million as Hollywood shied away from releasing anything significant not just this weekend but also over the previous two weekends. When Black Panther opened in 2018, there was no counterprogramming that opened the same weekend, but Peter Rabbit and Fifty Shades Freed were in their second weekends and took second and third with $17.5 million and $17.3 million respectively. That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there's still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses, but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which is the biggest grosser of the rough post-summer, pre-Transformers: Rise of the Beasts season, came in second with just $8.6 million. Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn't totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn't a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it's the biggest of any film since Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, though Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will overtake it any day now.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts came in third place in its fourth weekend, down 29% with $6.1 million, emerging as one of the season's most durable grossers and one of the year's few bright spots when it comes to films for adults. The domestic cume is $56.5 million Fourth place went to Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which had a negligible drop of 5% for a $3.2 million sixth weekend and $40.8 million cume., in fact )
, which isn't surprising considering it's the only family film on the market, and it's Transformers: Rise of the Beasts to grossing four times its $11.4 million opening. Still, the $72.6 million worldwide cume is soft given the $50 million budget , though a number of international markets have yet to open.
Finishing up the top five is Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which had its biggest weekend drop yet, falling 42% for a $2.3 million seventh weekend. Of course, that's no reason to frown for the horror film, which has a domestic cume of $103 million and global cume of $ 210 million from a budget of just $20 million.

Provider Verification Form
The individual named below is requesting an accommodation under the provisions of the Fair Housing Act to allow his or her animal to reside with the individual in an apartment community owned and operated by MAA.
In situations where the individual’s disability and/or disability-related need for an assistance animal in housing is not obvious, we are entitled to credible and reliable documentation of the existence of a disability and a disability-related need for the accommodation. This documentation should reliably support that: (1) the individual meets the Fair Housing Act’s definition of disability; (2) there is a need for the assistance animal in the context of residential apartment living, and (3) there is a relationship between the individual’s disability and the need for the requested accommodation.

“NEED” DEFINED
Under Fair Housing laws, a person requesting a reasonable accommodation must demonstrate the need for the requested accommodation. Courts have held that any accommodation must be proximately related to the limitation faced by the disabled person. To preliminarily establish need, the disabled individual must demonstrate that the requested accommodation, if granted, would ameliorate the alleged limitation the disabled individual encounters in the use or enjoyment of his or her apartment. In simple terms, the accommodation must serve a disability-related need, - i.e., lessen the impact of the disability.

I reaffirm that the Requestor is a patient/client of mine in my professional practice and that the information provided is accurate to the best of my personal knowledge, consistent with my professional obligations.

Is this allowed? How do I fight this? The office manager said she would be fine to send just my ESA letter to the management's legal team, but it would likely be denied without this form.
Can they do that?

Of course, that's no reason to frown for the horror film, which has a domestic cume of $103 million and global cume of $ 210 million from a budget of just $20 million. asdfsdf

2023.06.09 20:33 Fadios962 Testosterone Alternative
Hi first time poster here please go easy on me :)
What is the best steroid compound out there to be used for muscle building while not causing the following side effects:
1- Water Retention
2- High Estrogen/Prolactin blood levels
3- LiveKidney Damage
Don't get me wrong I love Testosterone by itself but the micromanagement of Estrogen plus the water retention puts it off for me and most of DHT compounds cause Liver or Kidney damage.
I don't mind using Test compound as a base as long it does not convert too much into Estrogen.
Help please.

2023.06.09 20:27 Dry-Understanding134 Early NMN Supplementation and Its Implications on Aging: A Look into Current Research
Hello fellow NMN enthusiasts,
I wanted to share some thoughts and recent findings about the potential benefits of beginning NMN supplementation early in life, specifically during the early 20s. Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) has been gaining traction in the scientific community as a potential anti-aging compound, and it's fascinating to see how early use could influence the aging process.
NMN is a precursor to Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+), a coenzyme that plays a crucial role in many biological processes, including metabolism, DNA repair, and gene expression. NAD+ levels are known to decline with age, which is linked to various age-related health issues.
Early NMN supplementation could theoretically maintain NAD+ levels in our bodies, potentially counteracting some of these age-related declines. Here's how it could help:
- Promoting Cellular Energy Production: NMN supports mitochondrial function, the powerhouse of the cell. Keeping these engines running efficiently could help maintain youthful cellular energy levels and overall vitality.
- DNA Repair: By boosting NAD+ levels, NMN could enhance the body's ability to repair DNA damage, a key factor in aging and cancer.
- Sirtuin Activation: NMN is thought to enhance the activity of sirtuins, proteins that play a pivotal role in cellular health and longevity. Sirtuins are dependent on NAD+, so by boosting NAD+ levels, we could potentially increase sirtuin activity, promoting cellular longevity and overall health.
It's worth mentioning that while these benefits sound promising, scientific understanding is continually evolving, and more research is needed, especially in human trials. Currently, most of our understanding of NMN comes from preclinical studies (cell cultures and animal models), which do not always translate directly to humans.
For those considering starting NMN supplementation early in life, it's essential to consider potential risks and unknowns, as long-term human studies are currently lacking. Always consult with a healthcare provider before beginning any new supplement regimen.
What are your thoughts? Have you started NMN supplementation early in life? If so, what has your experience been like? Looking forward to engaging in this discussion with you all!

2023.06.09 20:27 StayAtHomeJedi My Estranged Mother is my Special Trustee
A little backstory.
My mother had sever mental health issues and much of my childhood included emotional abuse from her.
After starting my own family, I made the choice to completely remove her from my life for my own mental health and the safety of my children. I have not spoken to or seen her in over 8 years and I have taken great care to ensure she does not know any of my personal contact information.
My Grandmother passed away last year and in her Will she left each grandchild a sum of money. For mine, there was a seperate clause that my mother had her put into the will which saw my inheritance to be put into a henson trust, which my mother is the special trustee of.
This was made before I was able to understand the level abuse I was experiencing, and before I became estranged from my mother and fits with an overall pattern of abuse I had to go overide her 'medical power of attorney' over my bank accounts when I turned 18 so I could go through the process of getting an apartment, because she never let me have access to them or my bank card, one of many ways she tried to keep me at home.
So I now find myself in my current position.
My mother has asked me to fill out a 'Trust Disclosure Form' because 'the lawyers need it for the bank'
This includes all of my personal contact information which I am not willing to provide her with. She has also sent me an email outlineing some scheme to use my trust (25,000) to shelter 130,000 of her inheritance so she wont get kicked off disability, complete with a 5 person board of directors to dispense funds ( only myself and 1 person of my choice, and herself and 2 people of her choice)
I am a perfectly capable adult with a wife and 3 children, one of whom has special needs and who would benefit greatly from this inheritance.
I genuinely believe due to previous history and previous communications that I will not be able to access this money without speaking or convincing my past abuser to give me small chunks of it at a time. (Her way of forcing me to engage with her again)
What do I do?
Edit: Canadian Citizen, can't afford representation.

2023.06.09 20:26 Additional_Pen_3019 I wonder if this is a primarily psychosomatic illness? (LONG THREAD)
Note, I am not trying to invalidate anyone's experiences , I am just trying to share my thoughts and provide perspective. You are free to agree or disagree with any of the points I raise here.
That being said - I cannot help but feel but this 'POIS' disorder is largely a psychosomatic one. The specific mechanism is called "somatisation", where a mental illness manifests itself with physical symptoms due to subconscious processes within the brain.
To give an example from pop culture, there is a character called Chuck McGill from the TV series "Better Call Saul" who appears to have an allergy to electricity (spoilers ahead!). He experiences genuine physical pain when exposed to electromagnetic currents, and even faints at one point due to overstimulation (which is later understood to be a panic attack).
However, it soon becomes clear that Chuck's illness is psychological in nature. He likely has some form of OCD, as well as a deep seated inferiority complex regarding his younger brother, who is better able to connect with people than he is, and was preferred by both their parents when growing up. Nonetheless, Chuck is very, very able to explain and rationalise the fact that he is suffering from an apparent physical ailment, including statements such as "no one knew about peanut allergies 20 years ago, so just because medical knowledge hasn't advanced yet doesnt mean electricity allergy isnt real." However, it is obvious he is trying to mask a mental condition, but feels extremely ashamed at the prospect of being 'exposed' as being 'crazy', and lashes out publically after someone compares him to a schizophrenic.
Out of necessity, Chuck eventually moves away from this mindset and, after receiving counselling and SSRIs/antidepressants, attempts to reintegrate himself back into normal life. He rids himself of his tinfoil blankets and allows himself to start using electrical appliances. He recovers greatly, and is absolutely fine, in spite of exposing himself to something he is supposedly "allergic" to. (until his brother shows up and triggers his mental illness once more... but I won't go into that!)
You see, I cannot help but notice certain similarities in POIS discussions. There are tons of posts going into complex scientific matters discussing possible 'medical' causes of this illness. Things like issues with the neuroendocrine system, autoimmune reactions, and the like. People taking combinations of supplements, herbs and pharmaceuticals and reporting a reduction in symptoms. I also note that, the research points to a very high comorbidity of mental health disorders like depression and anxiety, and anecdotally I notice a high frequency of ASD, ADHD and OCD.
Thus, I do wonder whether this is some kind of rationalisation, or a somatization of deeper issues. In my opinion, there are likely to be complex emotional and psychological factors at play in POIS sufferers, which lead to the apparent symptoms. Intelligent, rational people are very able to find convincing explanations for their symptoms and struggles - even if they're not actually accurate - and, combined with the mechanism of somatization, it may be very convincing to others, including medical professionals, that the person is suffering from a rare physical ailment as opposed to trying to deal with some kind of inner turmoil.
And yes, I know that the disorder is classified and recognised by many health professionals and is being thoroughly researched - but I posit that this is due to the highly troubling and disturbing nature of the supposed illness (i.e. the idea of not being able to have sex without essentially being crippled by one's own body - that's pretty fucked up) and the fact that many smart people, who suffer with the symptoms, are able to quite lucidly and convincingly explain what might be at play.
This is my personal story, which leads me to the conclusion that I have made...:
I went through a brief phase of thinking I might have POIS. I had extreme lethargy and demotivation whenever I watched porn and masturbated. I would regularly binge and this would leave me feeling flat, exhausted, and just basically awful. The "symptoms" would last for multiple days.
Additionally, for much of my teenage years, I believed I might have some kind of hypersensitivity or allergy to sugary foods. I had to completely avoid them for a very long period as I lacked self control, so would end up binge eating them and genuinely feel awful afterwards.
Eventually, because of my self-control problems, I started convincing myself that every single time I masturbated, or ate a sugary snack - regardless of whether it was just one time or a geninely unhealthy binge - I convinced myself I was doing something wrong and was going to feel terrible afterwards,. And that, by some weird mechanism which I still don't really understand, this actually led to me feeling bad, foggy, and wiped out after I indulged in those things - even in moderation!
Turns out, in fact, that I was actually just very depressed and had been so for a long time, and in addition to that had severe ADHD. I was extremely ashamed at my lack of ability to control myself, and had essentially been traumatised into hating myself for this. Additionally, I noticed that "semen retention" did actually come with many psychological benefits, and could (I presume, by spiking levels of dopamine in the brain) actually relieve many of my ADHD and depressive symptoms. Thus, I came to associate sexual activity with 'bad things happening', because I would immediately lose these benefits. Doubtless, there was likely some actual neurological basis for my apparent symptoms (the dopamine crash after orgasm and after eating sugar, which happens to everyone, but may affect people differently, based on their sensitivity).
So essentially, my POIS symptoms were actually the product of a complex psychosomatic reaction, combined with my tendency to overindulge and ACTUALLY exhaust myself, as well as my depression and ADHD, which made me more vulnerable to fluctuations in dopamine and other neuroendocrines. Note, that feeling demotivated and tired after orgasm is a universal human experience - but again, some are more likely to be sensitive to this effect than others.
Once I got my depression and ADHD sorted and under control, I found that - except if I binged and went overboard with masturbation - the POIS symptoms completely vanished. I now experience a normal level of tiredness after orgasm, but nothing like extreme brain fog or dysarthria or anything like that.
Additionally - and this is perhaps going a bit deeper - I struggled with severe social anxiety and chronic depression growing up and as a result, when I was exposed to "NoFap" and "Semen Retention" during my formative years, I ended up kind of obsessing over it. It fucked up my sexuality and I got sucked into the philosophy. This was because, not only was I impulsive and lacked self-control, but also, the "benefits" like increased confidence were really appealing to me, and I could see that there was SOME TRUTH to the claims being made. So I developed an early aversion to masturbation, which likely led to the development of a psychosomatic illness.
So yeah - my point is that POIS likely does have some roots in actual physical causes, namely spikes in things like dopamine, prolactin, testosterone etc. If you have issues with your brain/body that may affect these (e.g., ADHD (low dopamine), low testosterone levels, prolactemia, depression (low serotonin/dopamine), OCD (low serotonin), anxiety (low serotonin and possibly dopamine)), then you are perhaps more likely to be sensitive to these changes than the average person, and may present with increased "POIS-like symptoms" related to cognition. It is likely that past experiences and shame around sexuality also contribute. Porn or sex addiction may also be a genuine cause of the symptoms because you stimulate your body to an unnatural and unsustainable level.
Also, having OCD-like obsessions may be a contributing factor to POIS' development. You are likely to be very anxious and worried about yourself, and will excessively check your own mental state and/or physical state after having an orgasm. If you feel that you are tired or demotivated (which is normal), your OCD brain may overblow how bad these things feel - similar to the mechanisms seen in anorexia and body dysmorphia - and convince yourself that you have a problem, when you actually, in fact, do not.
As for the allergy hypothesis - it is hard to see why orgasming would lead to an allergic reaction. Some theories state its an autoimmune reaction to one's own semen, but a study showed that non-POIS individuals have the same reactions to skin-prick tests as those who stated that they had POIS. I would also add that allergies are more common than usual among people with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism etc, so the apparently elevated presence of general allergies among the POIS population may be a product of this fact, rather than pointing towards an increased likelihood of being allergic to orgasms as well as peanuts, shellfish, pollen etc. Essentially, no one really knows why people with mental health conditions are more susceptible to allergies but that's just the way it is. Allergies are also way more common than you think, a substantial proportion of the general population has hay fever for example.
Final point: something similar has been observed in Indian psychiatry. There's a condition called "Dhat Syndrome" which is understood to be purely psychosomatic in nature. It is treated with CBT and antidepressants. Basically, in Hindu scriptures, sexuality is treated as something that is "vital" and "spilling one's seed" is seen as bad. Thus, people in India are more likely to develop complexes and shame around sex/masturbation because of cultural messaging, which affects the subconscious, and may be a contributing factor to the development of this psychosomatic disease.
TD;LR - POIS is almost certainly a psychosomatic disorder, not a physical one (imo). It is likely a manifestation of deeper psychological issues. There is some truth in saying that orgasm leads to changes in neurochemicals and hormones and may thus produce certain psychological, or even physical, effects in people. However, these alone are unlikely to cause the degree of symptoms experienced by sufferers of "POIS", because they are a normal part of human biology. Nonetheless, certain individuals may be more sensitive to alterations in dopamine/testosterone/prolactin due to certain neurological conditions, hormone deficiencies, or mental health issues like depression/OCD.

2023.06.09 20:25 obsessive_engineer Dream Router and how to best setup new house.
I was looking to upgrade the internet experience in my new home -- using a more robust system than just mesh wifi. Home is approximately 2500 sq ft with two levels, no basement. I have a 250mb internet service that enters the house in the office. There is then a line that goes back to the garage to a common location for wiring that gets run throughout the house. There will be no cameras on this system. I don't have an exact number but we do have a smart home so there are several IoT devices.
I'm considering using a Dream Router and in wall APs (ceiling mounted is really not a viable option at all). I've been trying to read up on compatibility but don't know what limitations I'll have. I'm thinking the Dream Router will be an easier solution for me as I get started down this path. We will only be in this house about 4 years, and maybe down the road I will pursue a Dream Machine instead.
• I don't know if I need an AP in the garage, but I wouldn't mind having one there -- would I be able to use an AP also as a switch? • I'm mostly hung up on PoE vs PoE+ and what I have/need to get everything accomplished that I'm looking to do. If I do use an AP as a switch in the garage, I believe I would need PoE+ coming into it to then have PoE as an output. However, I don't believe the Dream Router has a PoE+ output. • Should I then use something like a Flex Mini as a switch and plug it into the wall to supply the PoE that my APs will require? • I'm currently thinking the router, 1 or 2 additional APs as a starting point and see how coverage is from there. • Does a garage environment warrant the use of outdoor switch/AP? Using the flex switch instead of the flex mini?
I still have a lot to learn and was hoping someone would help point me in the right direction! Maybe I'm not even thinking down the right path. Thanks for any help.
