Weather for rupert wv

Hello folks, I recently installed a backup camera in my (first Subaru!) 2013 Forester Premium X. It wasn’t terrible and I was fortunate the wiring was already in place so the camera was completely plug and play. I’m now left with a small space around the camera that looks incomplete and vulnerable to the weather, ie rain. I tried doing some searches without success for some type of gasket/seal to protect the newly created gap. Is anyone in this community familiar with a nice fix for this? I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks.

Im curently in planing of ring road in may. And i have few questions posibly few more as my planing are go further. It will be first 9 days (considering about 10) of may. We are hikers and we would try take few hikes as kirkjufell, fimmvorduhals as far we can get or weather will allow and return, fagradalsfjall... we receive recommendations.
As i started planing and research It looks like we will return to do westfjord and f road. 😶
Do you recomend go with caddy campervan or larger van, because of weather conditios and possible more time spent in van?

We've been NC for a little over a month now. I cut her off because she became aloof, indecisive, and outright distant in the last month leading up to the breakup. I wanted a serious relationship and she didn't. This is a girl I've known since we were very young; a friendship going back to the year 2000. We both also married young (to separate spouses), where we naturally lost touch afterwards. I always really liked her, and I knew even then that she liked me, but we were also committed to our then-relationships to the people we were gonna marry.
We reconnected almost 2 years ago. She popped up on my Instagram out of nowhere, and it was so great to catch up after all those years. I found out her mother had just died of cancer, and she had divorced in 2020. I got divorced in 2019. In the beginning we regularly shared our sorrows and the pains of divorcing. But I never thought of pursuing her at that point in time, I think because I was still working through my own issues post-divorce as a single man for the first time since my late teens.
Then things settled and we'd have the occasional chat, but that was it. Several months would go by between DMs. It went on like that until last summer (July 2022). We started chatting every day, at all hours. We'd talk about anything and everything. Fast-forward to September, and I was smitten at that point. This was the same girl who fascinated me in our youth, but now we were fully-grown adults and found even more in common with each other than we ever knew before - similar interests, life goals, dreams. She took it all kindly, and even said she knew what the email was going to be about as soon as she started reading it. But, she declined and said her life was a mess, she'd be a lot of work, felt like she couldn't fulfill the needs and desires I wanted in a woman, etc. She did explain that her ex-husband was also emotionally abusive and bipolar, which led to her initiating her divorce. I understood that maybe she was still dealing with that past trauma. She also has a great job that she didn't want to leave, even though I said I'd move to be closer to her in a heartbeat (I'm a freelancer so physical location is no problem for me). But, I'm also not stupid, so I took all this as maybe she's just not interested and was letting me down gently. Sucks, but what could I do?
We kept frequently chatting daily though, even though she knew I was in love with her. The chats got to a point later in the fall where we were basically sexting, almost nightly. I had never sexted in my life, so it was exciting. Yet, she didn't want to start a relationship. She would keep saying, if she could get over her issues, that she would choose me in a heartbeat. She also told me on multiple occasions that she'd never felt a deeper connection with any other person in her life but me. I felt the same, knowing our long history.
In that time, going into December, of sexting and talking about everything as it became our routine thing, she would also get a little distant and I'd get upset and then we wouldn't chat for a few days. I wouldn't answer her messages right away, and then she'd blast me with a dozen texts in a row wondering why I wasn't responding. She would get paranoid about it. And going silent on my end wasn't to cause her frustration, but to protect my own fragile heart from being hurt even more. I know that's not a healthy way to handle that kind of situation, but that's how I did it. We'd soon make up and everything was back as it was before. I didn't want to keep pressing her on whether or not she'd change her mind.
Now get to Valentine's Day last month. We had a nasty blizzard, one of the worst I'd ever experienced in my life. My parents and I were driving home from a live stand-up show about an hour away. Forecasts said the blizzard would be moving in by midnight that night, so we were aware and drive home most of the way with no weather issues. But the wind started picking up and that caused a lot of the fresh snow to start blowing around. We were literally 12 miles away from my parents' house around 10pm when visibility went to zero. You couldn't see the road because it was completely covered. We ended up going into the ditch and getting stuck in the snow. All highways were closed and again, the winds were so strong that you could barely see 5 feet in front of you. Not to mention the wind chill was in the -25°-30°F range and feeling the snow hit your face outside was like a sandblaster. Long story short, I thought I was gonna die that night. Like real, actual danger was happening and my parents and I were gonna freeze to death. Even with extra clothes and a winter survival kit, things got more dire by the hour. There was no way for the highway patrol to reach us until about 5am that morning. We abandoned the car and got in the back seat of the officer's vehicle, and even then it took the officer close to two hours (still zero visibility conditions) to drive us to a shelter at the closest small town, about 1.5 miles back. By morning, the storm had passed and we were given a ride home, as every single vehicle on the highway had to be towed. We'd worry about that later.
In that time while we were left freezing in the car, I texted her about the situation, and how serious it was. I halfway joked that if she didn't hear from me again, that I had frozen solid like a Mt. Everest climber. She was obviously concerned and kept checking in with me. Part of the conversation shifted to wishing each other a happy Valentine's Day, despite my situation. Then I also half joked and asked her that if I survived the night, could we finally be together? Her exact reply was, "I don't know."
Not that I was using my near-death experience to earn points with her. But in that very moment (as my parents and I tried to not get frostbite/not fall asleep/not accidentally breathe in trapped carbon monoxide), I realized that even then she wouldn't want to be with me. So I decided I couldn't do this anymore. All my pining for her all these months is never gonna go anywhere, and I can't keep waiting. Unrequited.
By that weekend, I told her a farewell, said something eloquent like I can't keep waiting for her door to open up for me, and then deleted everything and blocked her on everything. I still think about her all day long, because I really did/do still love her. The tears aren't as frequent as they were a few weeks ago, but I still feel massive heartbreak and depression today. And yeah, I know it's only been a month.
It's her birthday later this week. I know it's silly but I keep thinking about reaching out and wishing her a happy birthday. Even if it's just an email with those two words only. My birthday is in October, and she sent me fresh flowers. So I had even thought of doing that too. But I know, deep down, that the NC should stay put.
Maybe she just liked the attention all that time.

Went to the store today after my evening plans got ruined. First time I’ve been out of the house alone in weeks and it was only for 20 minutes. I’m a stay at home mom, partner is a miner with crazy hours and the weather here has been nothing but snowy. I went to the store after texting that I was thinking about picking up a 6 pack and not caring about how it makes my stomach feel later. I have some severe stomach issues now thanks to YEARS of alcohol abuse. I went inside the store with the intention to get my favorite beer and not care who it upset at home. I walked around the store for 20 minutes avoiding the corner where are the alcohol is at. The place I exactly wanted to be. I walked out of the store empty handed and went home. I told my family that I was indeed grumpy and wanted to be left alone. I cleaned around the house, made a to do list for tomorrow and journaled 5 pages. I also made a yummy snack full of fruit, cheese and some chips.
I didn’t drink today. Here’s to day 10 of not drinking. My grumpy ass is going to bed.

Life likes to throw curveballs, doesn't it?
One of my several lawn projects (none my own, really) was treating my mother's lawn, more or less shared with the next-door neighbor, to a nice renovation after said neighbor's earnest but misguided care turned it into a salad bar full of craters (from confusing RoundUp with Weed-B-Gon).
Neighbor was on board. Made an assessment and a game plan in the fall—test dethatch, amend, nuke with glyphosate and reseed with a hardy PRG and nobody would be the wiser, hopefully germinating before the old grass fully dies off.
Weird weather (from nearly 90º to low 40s almost overnight) and other commitments had me miss the fall window, so I shot for earliest I could in the spring. Beat back the creeping bentgrass mess with vigilant Tenacity and triclopyr apps. Let the lawn just chill and do its thing knowing I'd be ripping it up in a few months.
The nice weather arrives last week. Dethatchers nowhere to be found locally, so I went all Amish with a dethaching rake and yard butler. 5 hours and two 128-gal cans of detritus later, the neighbor comes home and...well, 'freaks out' is a good word, now that I've pulled up all that moss keeping the lawn green all winter.
There's still some little stubble of what I assume is fescue among all that brown that survived the bedlam, and I figure I'll spare them the glyphosate bombing, so if the PRG goes sideways this neighbor doesn't blow a gasket over having a mud pit for a front yard until I can pick up more seed. What's the harm? Lime, Tenacity, starter Fert, and at long last, seeds go down.
I stopped by this week to see how things were progressing. The PRG hasn't yet sprouted.
But what has? Not Poa. Not any weeds. Big, ugly, K31, in nice big tufts. It really liked that fertilizer.
Don't even know where it came from. I guessed correctly and there was a lot of fine fescue hiding in there once all the weeds were dealt with. I'm guessing that, owing from the neighbor kid mowing 3x weekly at putting-green heights last summer, the K31 was just lurking under the bentgrass and I just never spotted it.
I'm just not gonna worry about it. If the neighbor was happy with moss just because it was green, I think she'll be fine with it.
the Tl;DR: won the war on creeping bent, lost the war to K31. The lesson: sometimes it's better to just nuke.

Hi! I'm committing as an incoming freshman at UC Davis, and my plan is that I want to graduate in three years and go travel to take care of my grandparents. I know that going straight to school after senior year is counterintuitive, because I'm supposed to enjoy my last summer, but here are some of my reasons why:

• my main friend group is essentially busy the entire summer.. We're currently hanging out a LOT right now on weekends and planning to our senior trip during spring break, but we are mainly having separate plans right when summer starts, until the very end when we all go off to college.
• I want to be able to spend a whole year travelling, along with saving up money to do so with family.
• I want to go to law school after college, and want to be able to have a year to study and prepare for the LSAT and spend a year with my family.
• Summer classes are cheaper than during the school year which is a viable option for my family! I also want to try and do more classes focused towards my major

I want to come in early for summer classes, so if anyone has any experience in doing so/ registration process, if things fill up fast/ general weather and culture during the summer (coming in from sunny socal), also as an English major :)also please lmk what types of classes I should take during summer and how many! (what general ed classes, and things that pertain to my major.)
In terms of APs, the Lit exam was too expensive for me to pay and my school wouldn't waive it to reasonable price, so I am not taking the exam unfortunately :sob: However, I've had full marks on all english classes ive taken during high school, if that helps with class recommendations. also the only ap exam I took was world history and got a 4 :D

I have been a fan of Saturday Night Live for as long as I can remember, but until the mid to late 90's, Satyrday Night Live footage was few and far between in Australia. When we finally got Pay TV (which after several years of competition ended up consolidating into being a venture controlled by Rupert Murdoch, but that is another story), we finally got Saturday Night Live airing every week...both new episodes, and old episodes...but most of the old episodes were no older than around 89/90 I would estimate. I missed the original episodes (I have since watched a lot of them online), I missed the Eddie Murphy days.
Anyway, over the years I have noticed there comes a time where there are massive cast changes. Some years it might only be one or two cast members leaving or joining, and other years it might be a whole host of cast members. Sometimes I will see cast members disappear, that I thought would have had longevity, such as Norm Macdonald (I know why he left), and Chris Parnell (no idea why he left).
When it is one or two cast members that leave, you almost know they have scored a major role on a sitcom, or have scored some movie roles. Others leave because their contract is up, and is not being renewed...either by their, or the studio's, choice. And sometimes, like in the case of Norm Macdonald, it is the choice of higher-ups, that a castmember leaves.
My question, is what was happening with Saturday Night Live in the 1990's, that saw the mass exodus of Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, and others. I have seen mention in this sub about a whole heap of the cast being fired around this time, but what was so bad for a good portion of the cast to be fired all at once?

This is a small detail in description, but definitely one of the bigger things I love about the work they put towards immersion in this game. The weather patterns in the game are actually visible. Radstorms, ash storms, rain, fog, etc. What's even cooler is that I think the rain storms and rad storms will actually move across the map. So you can see a large rain/rad formation in the distance steadily moving towards you. And eventually you'll be inside of it getting the rain/rads.
The other really cool thing is that when the weather does hit an area and there's NPCs inside of it (normal NPCs, not blood thirsty raiders); they will comment on the weather. Like that NPC in the second picture said something about hating the fog.
I know to some people its probably not a big deal. But I definitely recognize how awesome it is for immersion sake and making the entire zone feel a bit more...alive.
