When I (19 F), was 15 years old I lived with my dad and 3 sisters. My dad was a stern and strict Christian who always was on my sisters and I about our behavior, clothes, friends, etc. It wasn’t that bad, until I had gotten a boyfriend. Later that night at dinner, my phone went off and it was my bf, I started to text him back and I started smiling and laughing from his texts when my dad noticed and snatched my phone from me.

I ended up not going, don’t get me wrong I was definitely affected and sad from my father’s death, but I honestly just did not want to go. My grandmother passed away 2 years ago. Despite knowing she was dying, and due to rampant mental illness, she had no will at the time of death. However upon her death her house went to her three living children, including my dad.
Her youngest child, my aunt, separated from her husband many years ago (about 7 or so) but they have not officially divorced due to the financial and emotional abuse my aunt has been through with her in laws. In order to help her pull through and get out from under their control, my dad and his sister (my other aunt) signed the house solely over to my aunt. Less than 48 hours after the paperwork was notarized and finalized my aunt died in the house. Due to the suddenness and her age, there was no will.
Her estranged husband of many years is now the owner of the house. It is their childhood home and filled with memories. Instead of transferring the home over back over to us, the rightful owners, he has decided to sell it. This was also communicated on the anniversary of my grandmothers funeral.
They are quite literally millionaires but graciously offered us “the chance to purchase the home back to keep it within the family” knowing it would not be financially feasible. Is there any recourse or pathway to getting what is rightfully ours?

This is the song my mom used to play for me as a kid. This is also the song she has chosen to be played at her funeral.

I am finishing my undergrad degree, BS in Accounting, with over 150 credits. I have everything I need for CPA licensure in NY except 7 accounting credits and, of course, passing all 4 exams. Instead of spending an unholy amount of money on a masters degree in accounting and studying for cpa I was thinking I would just take 2 online accounting classes literally anywhere and study for cpa in the comfort of my home rather then spend another year at school. I only need to know one thing though: does having a masters degree in accounting in any way, shape or form make a difference at PwC when compared to a bachelors assuming both you have your CPA license. My (33m) and my now ex (37f) used a realtor to find a home to rent in eastern TX. We we're living in NY at the time so we relied on the realtor to be our boots on ground. This realtor (f) and my ex became fairly good aquantances over the course of time it took for us to lock down a home and beyond. She never really vibed with me, which I didn't mind. I actually found a home through a property management company that the realtor didn't tour for us (an agent for the property management toured it for us), however the realtor still got her commission because I filled in her information. Months later, the relationship between my ex and I fails badly (toxic, violent, police involvement, ect). I as the lease holder who fully pays the rent I realized that I needed to begin the process of eviction. My ex was feeling that coming and she called my property management office requesting a copy of the lease. This triggered me recieving an email. Almost 20 minutes later I get a call from a familiar number, the realtor! I didn't immediately recognize that this realtor was not in fact working for the property management because she was speaking so "official".. she was extra bubble and asked me if I had an opportunity to send a copy of the original lease to her. I was driving at the time and was thinking to myself "what?" But I let her speak and she in fact almost fooled me, that was until I asked for her to email me this request and I'd reply to that email. Anyways I eventually check my email and low and behold it's clear that this is that realtor that became buddies with my ex gf (her photo and business logo attached to email). This woman used her position to try to trick me into ducking* myself . Now my question to everyone here, what can I do? I have in fact let my property management office know to NOT allow my ex on the lease or access to the lease under any circumstances. What else can I do? Did the realtor break the law?

Hi everybody! I work for a couple do websites and am a freelancer.
Problem 1: I moved 3/4 times during 2022. I have a permanent residence in NY. I moved to another apt in NY in 2021 and moved out March 2022, then stayed with my sister in FL for about 6 months and then went back to my permanent residence September 2022 and then moved to Japan at the end of September to study. During this time I continuously worked as a freelancer from home. which address do I use on my taxes?
Problem 2: I used my sisters PayPal account to have 1 website and some of my private students send money. I withdrew the money to my bank. However, PayPal will not let me input my tax information since the account is in my sisters name. How do I pay the taxes for this instead of my sister?
I am using OLT to file my taxes. I look forward to your help since this is only my second year doing taxes and I am having a hard time.

There are only two people I hate.
- My sister because when I was 10 years old and she was 12, she would physically assault me up over everything. I wouldn't let her wear my pants. She starts hitting me. I wouldn't give her money. She starts hitting me. She did this until she was kicked out at 25 years old (I was 23).
- My MIL.
If she would die tomorrow, I would not go to her funeral.
I use to have an okay relationship with my MIL. We weren't close, but we can talk and be in the same room just fine. I moved in with my boyfriend and his family during my junior year of college and within a couple of months I saw how my MIL truly was.
It started off with her coming home from a vacation and she yelled at my boyfriend and I for the the "messy house." It was a Sunday at 1 pm and the "mess" was a single spoon in the sink. My boyfriend and I cleaned the entire house (vacuum, mop, etc) all morning long.
MIL has put a lot of "nails in the coffin" of this relationship.
Nail 1: My BIL (Brother in law) and BF got into an argument over my BF car. (BIL wanted to borrow it, but has a history of leaving a mess and no gas). Also it's my BF car, he pays for all of it (insurance/ monthly payments). But yet, MIL still sided with BIL (she always does). For whatever reason, after that fight, she pulled me to the side and said, "I hope you don't have kids." all because when my BF was 14 years old he sold weed one time (or tried to)..... Hasn't done it since. (29 years old).
That hurt me. He was 14. He was a dumb kid. Since then, he went to college, graduated with honors, did a shit ton of volunteer work. You're seriously going to hold something that is 10+ years old over his head?!
So I was pissed. She asked me to not tell my BF, but F U C K that. I told him. She knew I was pissed and her apology was, "I'm sorry I came to you as an adult." I told her that wasn't an apology and she just walked away.
She ended up unfriending me on social media (Facebook/Instagram). LMAO
A few months go on and she asked if I wanted to get my nails done, but due to school I'm unable to have my nails done. So I tell her no, and I tell her why. She didn't seem mad at the time. That happened in April 2022.
Janurary of this year, she comes up at me and say, "I have an extra pair of valentines socks, do you want them?" I told her no, that I don't like Valentines as a holiday. She wasn't mad. Just said okay and walked away.
On Valentines Day, my BF and I are getting ready to go get dinner. We normally don't celebrate Valentines day, BUT there was a resturant that we have been wanting to try but it's stupid expensive & we needed an excuse to go. This was it. I also have my nails done, because my friend is learning how to do them and I'm her test subject. I'm also allowed to have them because this semester is all online.
So as I'm getting ready (literally jeans and a red top), MIL keeps making passive aggressive comments like, "cute nails.... thought you didn't like getting them done?" "You look nice... thought you hated valentines day?"
It's started an argument between my MIL and my BF and I.
- "Im sorry I don't remember every single stupid detail of her life." I guess asking someone you have known for 7 years to know your birthday is "stupid."
- "She has be the victim. I feel like I'm walking around eggshells with you two!" When we asked BIL to help more with the cleaning. He woudl slam the dishes down and then bang the vacuum on our bedroom door.... He is 23 years old.
- "She is just so rude." Her "rude" story of me, is that I didn't offer my BIL and his GF a slice of pizza because they just walked in from eating out. But she ignores that when her own husband is insulting her and saying that what she is wearing is ugly, I'm the only person defending her. Well, that wont happen anymore.
- "She doesn't talk to anyone. All she says "it's fine" like a parrot." I don't talk to her because within a single weekend she asked the same question over and over again. She doesn't remember anything you say. Oh and she has walked away in the middle of me talking.
Obviously the fight didn't end well, and we missed our dinner date.
The silent treatment doesn't bother me. I actually find it funny, because during the first few weeks she couldn't be in the same room as me. She would see me in a room, leave, and then when I leave, I would hear her walk to that room. She would purposefully take the "long" way through the house just so she doesn't have to walk past me.
But I draw the line of the petty and immature silent treatment when it comes to a serious event.
Nail 2: I had a very close aunt of mine pass away. As my BF and I were getting ready to go to the funeral, FIl was saying how sorry he was and he wished he could make it. MIL just stared at me. Not saying anything. When I leave the room, she is telling my BF how sorry she is. You're that upset over some damn socks?!
I told my BF she will never see our kids. That I will be staying home on holidays. & that she is going to be put in a retirement home.
There are so many stories that I wasn't sure where to start. So I'm sorry for this mess.

The Netflix K-drama ‘The Glory’ took me to a dark place that I had forgotten.
From ages 12-16 I was bullied in school. I was a middle class kid in a school where the toppers were from families where both parents were English speakers, generational Mumbaiite professionals or business elite. My parents are Hindi Medium vernies who migrated to Mumbai in the 80’s with a plate and a spoon between them. My Mom was a SAHM who was my homework assistant and tutor. She taught herself English from some tutorials starting from when I started the alphabet. She read all my textbooks in all languages before it was taught. She went over everything the teacher taught everyday and that propelled me into being the school topper for my grade nearly every term.
That was a problem, because everyone else from a background like mine scored between 50-60%, couldn’t speak English without the accent they acquired from home, didn’t have the confidence to participate in extra curriculars and inter school competitions and actually win them. That glory belonged to the ‘Elites’, the ones with homes facing the Sea or close to it, whose parents came for the Open House and discussed their grades and performance with their teachers in SoBo English.
My mom was the only mother who showed up in a Sari and insisted that the teachers speak to her in Hindi and explain why my grades were lesser than they could be. At our Open House, parents were to come and see their children’s answer sheets, speak to their teachers and get feedback for them. One time when I was in 6th grade, she grabbed the answer paper of an Elite who had beaten me by 2 marks, took it to the teachers and asked us why she scored me less when the answers were the same. All the teachers fawned over the elites and knew which papers belonged to them, many of them scored according to their whims and fancies in subjects other than Maths and Sciences.
I was an uppity vernie who was daring to punch above my aukaat. My school life after this incident with my mom exposing the partiality in front of 60 students and parents, became hell. I was bullied by the Elite girls no matter which class I ended up in, in grade after grade. From how I looked, the food in my tiffin, my parents being small town yokels, my school bag, my umbrella- nothing was off limits.
I developed clinical body dysphoria and hated every part of my body. I was marginally plump but believed I was obese and overweight and developed eating disorders. I had big lips and frizzy hair and the elites called me ‘hapshee’. (Years later, as a student in grad school in Manhattan I was told I look like Angelina Jolie).
I developed so much body hatred I subconsciously started picking and eating the flesh of my nail beds until they bled. This was disgusting to everyone around me and being in public made me do it fervently. My parents couldn’t understand why I didn’t want to go out with them to any event, be it family weddings or social gatherings, where I used to be an extrovert and social. And I believed I was completely unloveable, that even my parents were faking their love for me. I lost my ability to trust because a few elites made friends with me to access my study notes and then told everyone how dirty and cheap my building and home were.
I entered college, socially and mentally destroyed. I have had social and generalized anxiety until well into my 20’s. The inability to trust and body hatred meant that I didn’t date, nor open myself to the countless classmates who actually saw me as I am. I was an 8 who felt like a 2. I had dreamt of doing great things, travelling abroad for education and making the world a better place as a child. In my 20’s I just wanted to while my time and wait for death, no interest in love, career or anything at all. I was clinically depressed throughout my 20’s and my parents traumatized from what happened to their brilliant daughter. I told them I was suicidal and happy to die whenever they brought up my attitude. I ended up in a nightmare AM with an abuser, which is just symptomatic of what I was like inside, a beaten up little girl.
Then I turned my life around, beat my self hatred, depression, anxiety and became the Boss Lady I was meant to be, graduated from World’s number 1 university, topped my post grad program, worked at the UN, travelled, made friends of different nationalities, published a journal, became a magazine editor and the Star of my life.
Because - I found out that my bullies died in a car accident, in their 20’s.
Of the 4 Elites who had led the bullying campaign against me, 2 were crushed by the truck that hit their car so thoroughly they had to make do with mangled pulp for the funeral. Their parents were destroyed and their Rona Dhona became front page news because they came from old money families with listed companies. Every year, their families publish expensive obituaries and visit orphanages and I spit at the paper and wonder why they didn’t have this humanity and parenting drive while raising them. The other 2 girls suffered spinal and brain injuries and never got married or had a shot at career success. I’m on their FB and for a long time posted updates glorifying my life and success and imagined them seeing those. I was by no means their only target obviously, the ones who were at the bottom of the grading hierarchy were picked at for that too. Also, if god forbid, you had any body imperfections - that became your Nick name.
When I found out about this tragedy, it’s like a bulb went off in my brain. I’ve discussed this in therapy and my therapist isn’t any clearer than I am, why this gory, ghastly tragedy pulled me out of the darkness and onto the path that was always mine, as the brilliant, hard working, middle class girl with big dreams.
I might be a bad person by some definition for being so positively transformed by the death and suffering of sociopathic narcissists. I might have some condition. All I know is I look forward to the death anniversary announcement in the newspapers so I can spit on those faces that convinced me I was a lesser being, undeserving of love, humanity, friendship or even living. I don’t know if that makes me a sadist.
All I know is, bullying is no a minor offense, it can change the mental and emotional reality of a child with perfectly fine parenting, it can destroy their educational and career potential, their ability to be happy or to even live. I know this because when Karma came for my bullies it somehow undid all the damage they had done. Justice is not Justice unless it is restorative.
Bullying does not kill someone directly, but it can and has killed many lives because the bullied keep living less and less.
Bullies are criminals who deserve prison and death penalty and I have zero compassion or empathy for any bully who tastes their Karma.
If you have been bullied PLEASE initiate your healing, therapy, self work, whatever you can manage. You deserve the life you were gifted with, even if the lies convince you that you don’t. The Bible has a quote that shook me when I read it - the devil is a liar.

The council room was heard by multiple sighs of relief and most of them being small complaints for wanting to know what the human ambassador was about to say. The Xeasth Ambassador rose up with a document laying on his table. Looking quite....well.....The human ambassador can't really tell what they look like...Afraid? Doubting themselves? Angry? ....maybe just hungry? she can't really tell.....she wished she paid more attention during Alien biology 101 or at the very least making a small bit of effort instead of pretending to know what you are doing... like what Thomas from engineering did.

A great gasp filled the room. Claiming him a liar, where is the proof, how long did he knew of this, why would someone meddle in others progress, Who told him such things and many more.
It wasn't until the High Speaker (A giant species that looks like a mix between a moth and a fox) trying to calm the entire room by flapping her wings, making her the loudest in the room and quieting the rest.

Everyone is looking up towards THE First Ones, a floating cat like creature, looking at everyone with...well...with a look...some think of it as a "How dare you judge ME" Look and "You DARE to feast your eyes on ME?!" or another serious attitude of the current situation. But all are blind to what she is actually feeling. She is currently watching everyone while taking a quick glance at the human ambassador trying to copy the letter G as best as she could on a piece of paper, but she keeps doing it wrong and getting more and more frustrating by a single letter.

This went on for a few more hours about how similar everyone is to one another. More and more it seems like the Elder species is getting more annoyed and her pink fur is slowly rising upwards.
While the human ambassador has finally given up on trying to reproduce that one letter she wasn't able to mimic, to the relief of Tirzo and begrudgingly by most of humanity who is watching the interview live...also trying from their end. Cause of course....THAT is what is more important right now...

A chill runs down his spine, feeling immense cold and fright. Looking at what or who is causing that feeling of fear. He can't help but feel primal FEAR from THE First Ones, who is glaring at him and he is unable to continue speaking.

The High Speaker: Well...(Cough) I believe this resolve this council's meeting. There was no wrong doing on anyone's part sooooo... I believe we will leave it as it is. And with that everyone rose up and said their goodbyes. The Xeasth Ambassador took his leave and rush out of the room as fast as he can. The High Speaker took a small cup of coffee on the way out, every time this meeting either gets weird or stressful ever since the humans has joined the council. Outside of the council room, a shouting match can be heard which someone took notice and decided to go see what could it be.

My father passed away just 15 days after the dissolution of my relationship in 2021. He departed this world when I was a mere 15 years of age. Although he did not imbibe alcoholic beverages, he succumbed to cirrhosis. He had been cognizant of his condition well before 2021 and frequently journeyed to the metropolis for hospital visits. He never disclosed the severity of his ailment to me, nor did I inquire. Perhaps, I was too apprehensive to learn of it.
During the pandemic, he was able to remain at home with his family and have luch together. I perceived a change in his conduct, and it was evident that he longed to spend more quality time with us. I recollect the first time we watched a soccer match together. He expressed his pride in me whenever I spoke of university and related matters.
The lesson he imparted to me was this: He knew his time on Earth was limited. Prior to his passing, he had already contacted the funeral home to arrange his affairs but chose not to burden me with the information. Every day, he lived as though it was his last, and on his final day, he simply relished the company of those he cherished.
My father was always a benevolent man. My last memory of him is through a video call after months of separation. He was in the hospital, and I was at home in the countryside. Upon seeing me, he shed tears, and I offered a nervous chuckle. I wasn't brave enough to say this while you were alive, but I love you, Dad. Whether you're in heaven or not, you live on through the goodness your spirit left in this world. I hope to be at least half the man you once were.

It's been 7 years since the NY GF murders
Sidney gets the opening call as she's driving home. GF: Hello Sidney...Funny how the past can come back to haunt you. Do you still play games? Sidney: After all this time, what could an asshole in a GF mask be after this time...revenge? fame? trying to revive the franchise? I've got news for you, it doesn't end well for the asshole. GF: Do you love your children? Sidney looks at the location of her children, they are home with Mark. Sidney: What are you saying? GF: it's a simple question Sidney....DO YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN. Sidney: you don't know me or my children so f*ck off. GF: Just answer my question...do you love little Ella and Tate? Sidney hangs up and desperately tries to call Mark. Marks phone rings on the counter....no answer. Sidney is driving faster trying to get home. GF calls back GF: Sidney don't you know it's rude to quit in the middle of a game. Sidney: I'll find you put a bullet in your head if you come anywhere close to my family. GF: Oh I don't think you could even come close, you see my work is already done. Sidney receives a video text, she presses play... GF is moving thru a dark house, videoing as he walks into a room, a shadowy figure is tied to a chair GF slowly raises the knife and stabs right into their heart a muffled scream is heard. Sidney pulls into the driveway, runs inside the house screaming for her family. Sidney hears a scream and runs into the backyard to find Mark and the girls playing on a trampoline. Mark: Honey...are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost. GF: Silly Sidney, I'm not after your family, but when you find Sam and Tara, tell them I'm coming for them and I'm gonna cut their hearts out just like I did their mother! A horrified Sidney realizes that the victim is Sam and Tara's mother Christina Carpenter This causes Sidney to reach out to Gale who still lives in NY City to help her find the sisters.
Sam and Danny live together in upstate NY next door to Tara, Chad and Mindy. Chad and Tara are officially dating and Mindy has a new girlfriend Monica. Danny and Chad work together and have become good friends. Kirby has relocated to a FBI office in NY so she can be close by and watch out for the Core Four.
Sidney and Gail arrive at Sam's home to find Sam and Tara visibly distraught. Kirby also explains that she hasn't been able to locate Mr Carpenter but her new partner Det Dempsey is already looking into leads in Woodsboro. Sidney tells the sisters she is going to back to Woodsboro with them but Sam and Tara insist that she go back and take care of her own children, that they will take care of each other. She gives them her gun and tells them to put a bullet in the bastards head for her.
Meanwhile, A new Stab Reboot is being filmed near Woodsboro. The lead stars, who are playing versions of Sam and Tara, are attacked and killed by GF.
Kirby, Gale, the Core Four, plus Danny and Monica, travel to Woodsboro to attend the funeral of Sam and Taras mother. As they arrive they learn that the lead stars of the upcoming Stab reboot have been murdered by GF.
Gale is invited to appear on a live episode of popular True Crime Podcast called "Only Screamers get Stabbed" hosted by former horror icon and celebrity Fred Kraven, and recorded in a Woodsboro warehouse with the help of local teenagers/ co-host Michael and techie Jason. Gale brings Mindy( for her scary movie rules expertise) and Monica along. As the interview is being setup, Gale notices that Fred Kraven isn't in the studio, and it is explained that for the past year he calls into the show remotely. During the interview, Fred Kraven comments on the murdered Stab actresses, explaining that they were scheduled to be on the Podcast, and that if GF hadn't killed them, he would have murdered them with his interview, as being a former horror icon, they don't make movies like they used too. Mindy starts to explain the rules of scary movies, GF calls into the show and asks "what happens when there are no rules" The power to the studio goes out, GF attacks and kills Monica. While Gale and Mindy and are led to safety by Michael. They find Jason dead with his face smashed into the breaker panel.
On a tip from Det Dempsey Kirby, Sam, Tara, and Danny travel to Mr Carpenters home in an attempt to locate clues to his whereabouts. They find the residence with doors unlocked, and go inside to investigate. Kirby gets a call from Det Dempseys phone, but the reception is bad, Dempsey seems to be in trouble, so Kirby leaves Sam, Tara and Danny, and rushes to get to Dempsey. Kirby calls desperately tries to call Dempsey back, She suddenly gets a call from an unknown caller it's GF who tells her it was all a ruse and she should watch more scary movies if she wants to keep up with the times and she left the poor sisters all alone with the love interest. Meanwhile back at Mr Carpenters house Sam finds a picture of a young Sam and Tara with their mother smeared with blood. Danny sees a mysterious figure watching from down the street and gives chase. Sam and Tara get a call from GF and are attacked, Danny comes back, with a stab wound in his arm, explains that GF attacked him and ran off. Sam and Tara, suspect he could be GF and tearfully tells him to back away, he pleads his case to them just as GF appears and stabs him in the back. Kirby arrives and shoots at GF as he escapes.

I(14F) recently moved in with my dad, who lives with my uncle. The kids are my uncle's 5 kids (16m, 15m, 13f, 12m, 11m) and me. My uncle's oldest Meg 20F lives on campus at the college nearby. My dad and uncle went out of town this weekend for a funeral and came back last night. The incident happened Monday.
My uncle and dad would cashapp Meg every night they were gone so she could bring us dinner. On Monday she decided to take only the priesthood holders (males 12+) out for a special dinner with the dinner money and leave the rest of us at home. I ended up having to make something from what we had at home and comforting the other kids who were left out. When she came home I told her she was a terrible sister picking and choosing who would eat that night instead of feeding everyone and that if I didn't have cooking skills there would have be no dinner for the younger ones. She said she was rewarding the priesthood holders for keeping us safe when the older men were gone.
Last night when my dad and uncle came back we went out to eat and my cousin decided to snitch on me being disrespectful. I told my dad I thought it was a stupid thing to have happened and he and my uncles fiance agreed with me. But my uncle is a super religious Mormon and said that I should have kept my mouth shut and that Meg was right. The boys priesthood kept us safe and I shouldn't disrespect them or Meg again.
My dad and I stayed at a hotel last night and my uncles fiance broke up with him. Now I'm feeling guilty like being homeless and breaking up my uncles relationship is my fault. AITA?

Some of my thoughts, observations, and feelings about Monday-
The lineup, and fan experience-
I arrived early enough, around 12 noon. It was great to already recognize more than a few faces form past BABYMETAL and Band Maid shows. I came to just hang and spend the day, and this felt like familiar territory. We listened to a little of the new BABYMETAL album, amd then a medley of Nemo and other JRock bands. A LOT of the focus of conversations were whether we could get the venue to honor the old VIP tickets to at least get early access, amd not be secondary to the fast pass GA... this would not happen, as the venue dodnt care to address or talk to us about our grievances... We all know the issue, amd people's feelings, so this will be the last I mention it.
I had a LOT of fun hanging with everyone, seeing familiar faces and old friends, amd particularly getting to see some of the NYC (and honorary NYC) Kitsune crew.u/remyratio , u/hereticspork , u/bonedriven , u/vzmike , u/pupple816 , and FINALLY getting to meet someone that I now consider an old friend, even of we haven't known each other long, u/birumetal
It has been TOO long that the BABYMETAL fans have seen each other, so this was a great reunion at a show.
It was seven hours of waiting, but it seemed to short. It was great to work the line, handing out flyers and inviting people to join the after party. Felt like old times
The Show
IF BABYMETAL charms you, Band Maid hosts and entertains you, Nemophila ASSAULTS YOU.
It was just non stop- the moment they start, they just seemed to keep going. And going, and COMING AT YOU!
It was a barrage of sound, and their aural assault can only be compared to an A-10 Warthog unloading... The sound is constant, non-stop, and relentless. And IN A GOOD WAY.
The only break was a short intro of each member, and Saki's intros of The Trooper, and their medley... otherwise it was balls to the wall, pedal to the metal.
IS BALLS TO THE WALL appropriate, especially for an all girl band?
ABSOLUTELY... these bithcez have BALLS!, and THEIRS are bigger than YOURS!
It was like a race through the setlist, a amd sash to get through everything, an attack.
The race wasn't to finish, the race was to NEVER STOP GOING, and giving us everything. Great energy level, and they DIDN'T, WOULDN'T, maybe COULDN'T stop. And the crowd seemed to love every rushed second of it.
And LOUD... feel it in your chest loud. Shaking the venue loud.
Ears still ringing in the morning loud.
The last time I experienced a show that made my ears ring the NEXT day was MOTORHEAD 1997. That show was over 25 years ago, and I STILL remember how loud it was. This concert will go down as a similar memory.
I have a Motorhead shirt from 1997. The back says, "Everything Louder Than Everyone Else"
Nemophila brought the challenge.
I came into this show expecting a highlight, after previewing the setlist...
For me, it would be Life, into their cover , into the instrumental medley.... and YES, it was a highlight of the show
Life is a landmark song for this band. The live video where the girls turn and sing it to Tamu is iconic for ANYONE that knows the back story... it did NOT disappoint me as one of the songs I wanted to ixperience live. It had the same conviction and love as the video I watched, only this time, my ears were near bleeding... thanks for softening the set up, girls?
I got EXACTLY what I expected I would get..
Then, The Trooper... the hardest the crowd went... I guess it was a cover, so people let loose? LOTS OF SURFERS launched over the barricades, I got kicked in the face (didn't realize it till the next day) and the guy next to me got knocked out by a surfer who hit his head on the way down to the floor... a little metal mayhem.
I hope the guy that got his head banged too hard was ok
The girls, as fast as they raced through the set, seemed to have trouble getting off the stage at the end.
Back and forth a few times at the edge of the stage, trying to wave at everyone that came, HUGE smiles and multiple thank you, we love you, blown kisses.. It looked like their dreams come true. Each member paused for one last look before they exited the stage, like they HAD to take it all in one last time.
Mayu screamed ,"WE WILL BE BACK!!!, NY" as she took her last bow and left. Lit was with enthusiasm, conviction, and PROMISE... THEY WILL BE BACK
The after party was fun, and a big thanks to the 30-40 people that swung by. It was a perfect wind down from a great show.
NY brought it to them, and they really seemed to soak it all in. I am SURE that their conversations while heading home will be including "Next time we are there" and "When we return"

In conclusion, since I compared this band to MOTORHEAD, I leave one last comparison:
Motorhead said "We are the band, when we move next door, your lawn dies"
Nemophila is the band where "When we move next door, your garden blooms, HARDER!"
10/10, would Nemophila again.
