2023.03.23 07:56 BornAgainSpecial Worried about global warming? Drink the water in East Palestine.
See what it's like to have a real problem.
Worried about the water in East Palestine? Go to Miami Beach during summer.
It doesn't work in reverse, does it? Between global warming and the water in East Palestine, only one of these things is a real problem, and it's not global warming. Global warming is fake and everybody knows it. The left laughs at "climate skeptics", for believing that the left is dumb enough to actually believe in global warming. If it's obvious to you, it's obvious to them. The left isn't stupid. The left is cunning. Running hoaxes for the elite is all they do. The right is working class. The right makes money by making stuff. The left isn't like that. They're feeble. They get by exploiting people who makes stuff, taxing it, "carbon taxing" it, otherwise cheating them out of it, writing academic papers about why it's necessary, etc... They own you, as affectionate pets of the elite.
Here's how "experts" invented global warming:
Let's see, here's a list of chemicals that come out of a smoke stack: Mercury. No, can't do anything about that. Benzene. Again, no. Dioxin. I mean, we can't make money with Big Pharma unless we make people sick first. Fly ash. Are you crazy? That's our favorite. Let's add that one into every product we sell. Here we go. Carbon Dioxide. A harmless gas that trees breathe, and it's produced by all life, not just by industry like the others. That's the one we'll say is destroying the environment, and it will be their fault not ours.
The left hates the environment, because they hate you. They are ugly sick people who were dealt bad hands by the genetic lottery. They want revenge against cruel mother nature, and target number one is anyone who has what they can never have no matter how much money they steal: good health. They are out to tear you down and make you sick like they are because misery loves company.
This is a whole giant group of people that does nothing but talk about the environment, yet they will never even acknowledge the people of East Palestine. They will never acknowledge pesticides. It's all just this fake weather hoax because it's not really about the environment. It's about destroying you and your family with toxic chemicals. They do not actually care about the weather. No one does. That's stupid. They just use it as an excuse, whether it's spraying toxic waste on glaciers to melt them when it's global cooling, or spraying that same toxic waste in the air to block the sun when it's global warming. You will own nothing and be happy. You will eat the GMO soy. You will put your child on puberty blockers, if you're not already infertile. Kill all humans.
The right does nothing but talk, and that makes them feel like they've accomplished something because they're owning the left and it feels cathartic. But the worst that's ever happened to the left is that they lost an election one time, and quickly put a stop to it with mail in voting, and that's the only bad thing that's ever happened to them. It delayed the war machine and printing presses by 4 years, but who cares? They just put it in overdrive now. Are you going to keep doing nothing when you own nothing? You will have nothing left to lose. The enemy is clearly defined. It's the natural versus the artificial. Start talking strategy with people. I don't know how to beat them, but I know you can't beat them by voting Republican. Read a book about it. You have to do something. If you're a woman or a homosexual, you should be doing Project Veritas style stings on scientists 24/7. If you're not, you need to be finding targets for them and putting them in a list. Bring trouble to people personally. Call the police if their car is parked an inch over the line. Record them. Record anyone doing anything. It doesn't even matter what they say. In the future, even terms like latinx and blaxxx will be illegal hate speech. Make a twitter account and post nothing but peer reviewed scientific studies that conclude causation from correlation or some other obvious fraud. Make a public list of the scientists who do them. Call their underlings on the phone. See what you can find out. Look up the Sokal Hoax. It's a sorry state in science land. They've got unlimited money and no competition. It's not hard to find this stuff. It's everywhere. The whole thing is rotten from the ground up, and maybe if there's some momentum against it, we really will see "the dam burst open" like people here are always claiming. But nothing is going to happen because of some article on
WattsUpWithThat.com that a bunch of denier people looked at. Nobody else did.

2023.03.23 04:29 X_xTheLegend27x_X How to become a postal inspector/ postal police?
My buddy who I went to Academy with is interested in becoming a postal inspecto postal police
He is an older and did private security, PI work, and executive protection for 30 years in Illinois and Chicago. License to carry a semiautomatic in Chicago, canine training, protection for the Mayor of Chicago, all that fancy stuff. Honestly super overqualified with his work experience
He decided to move from Chicago to raise his kids in a better environment, though he still loves the city
With him being an old head, I know he’s not as tech savvy and thought I would ask for him on Reddit
So how does one get into that? Anybody I can refer to or give him the number of? We’re both currently Rcas but at different offices, still in our probation period
Thanks Fam

https://www.tankathon.com/ Officially a lottery pick today.
number 14, to be exact. It is top 10 protected, so we don't want them going too low.
Also, They're only 1 game ahead of the 10th pick, which would have us losing the pick this year.
Honestly, when the porzingis trade happened, I never expected it to convey in the teens. And now we're actually worrying that it might be top 10.

2023.03.23 03:20 Advanced_Falcon_2816 Surge In Carjackings Has A Chicago Politician Calling For A Grand Theft Auto Game Ban
Violence is on the rise in Chicago, and lawmakers are looking for ways to drive those numbers back down. One stat that has drawn attention in recent weeks is the city's number of carjackings. According to Chicago police, carjacking surged by 134 percent for 2020, bringing the total to 1,415. Rep. Marcus Evans Jr. (D), whose district covers Chicago's South Side, wants a sales ban to minors on violent video games like Grand Theft Auto. Evans is proposing an amendment to an existing 2012 law that prevents the sale of violent video games to minors. Illinois House Bill 3531 (HB3531) has been updated to add the following language:
Modifies the definition of "violent video game" to mean a video game that allows a user or player to control a character within the video game that is encouraged to perpetuate human-on-human violence in which the player kills or otherwise causes serious physical or psychological harm to another human or an animal...
Modifies the definition of "serious physical harm" to include psychological harm and child abuse, sexual abuse, animal abuse, domestic violence, violence against women, or motor vehicle theft with a driver or passenger present inside the vehicle when the theft begins.
The above-bolded text is pertinent to Grand Theft Auto, a widely popular game franchise that allows you to perform carjackings (among other violent and heinous acts). However, what's interesting is that games like Grand Theft Auto and its ilk have been around for decades; this is nothing new. A game like Grand Theft Auto alone couldn't possibly be responsible for the rise in the city's carjackings. Still, lawmakers and city officials are seemingly trying to tie the young ages of some of the carjacking suspects with the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic means that many children are at home, spending more time playing video games.
grand theft auto carjacking The youngest [recent] carjacking suspect was just 12 years old, and a 14-year-old was arrested in January for "taking part in multiple carjackings," according to Fox News.
"I feel like this game has become a huge issue in this spectrum," said Walker in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times. "When you compare the two, you see harsh similarities as it relates to these carjackings."
As a counterpoint to the rumblings in Chicago, a decade-long study concluded that this is no credible link between kids playing violent video games and, in-turn exhibiting violent behavior.

[first] [prev] [next]
Origins, interlude 3: Sam
Sometime in 202x
Sam awakens to a message from Sophie. She's kept her word, and delivered a truly daunting list of queers of all stripes, who have speciality knowledge Sophie thinks could be useful to the discussion of 'where to next'.
Reading through the notes Sophie's made next to each name, it's like a who's who of queer STEM types, ethicists, philosophers, psychologists, sociologists, community leaders, and activists. Also some celebrity vloggers, the thoughts of whom makes Sam feel star struck. Yet, they suppose, these are the circles they can move in now, that money can and hopefully will open up to them.
Sam realises with a start that there's some names missing - Priti and Rehema, for instance. And wonders if there's others that should be here, excluded because of the clique-ishness, the subtle barriers between queers of different backgrounds.
Struck by a sudden impulse, Sam realises they need to reach out. They're the privileged one now, they've got the responsibility to break down these barriers, and include everyone. Sophie's talked a lot about radical inclusion, and how you've got to get everyone in the room, so to speak, and listen to them, if you want to be truly fair and equitable. To reach the global optimum, to put it in mathematical terms.
Sam shoots back a quick message to Sophie thanking her for her work and affirming that everything looks good, and to see if there's anyone she can find anyone else from marginalised communities to add here. Not just the minds useful to capitalism, the societally respected and rewarded ones. But the ones with the unique perspectives that white, younger, and relatively sheltered queers like Sam and Sophie might have missed. The artists, the writers, the different.
And, mindful of the impacts of what they're asking, the disruption to lives, the offering of potentially painful experiences - to make an offer to pay those without means to take time out to attend even an online setting. Sam will have the means. Hopefully they all will, soon enough.
Satisfied they're no longer holding up Sophie's new-found mission, Sam continues where their impulse lead. Shaving face, shoulders, chest, back, arms, and legs, a long-practiced habit used to ease dysphoria, now with a renewed energy. Applying a light layer of foundation to their face, with concealer artfully applied to hide any blue of stubble below the skin. Some not-so-subtle eyeliner and eyeshadow, to draw attention away from other trouble areas. Then donning their favourite deep-green, cold-shoulder A-line dress - a lucky second-hand shop find in their size.
And the crowning pieces, a carefully-stored wig hidden away alongside false breasts, beloved hand-me-downs from an online trans swap group, a gift from someone who - happily, thanks to HRT and time - no longer needed them. The travelling siblinghood of the boobs, as they've called the process of receiving the falsies from an elder, and one they can now hope to continue by passing on to another new trans femme. An important thing to pair with the dress and especially the wig. The shoulder-length red hair they've seen in their dreams, in their mind's eye, in the corner of their eye whenever they move past a mirror.
All these arts and artifacts they've carefully horded and practiced using in quiet moments, an artifice to present to the world the truth of who they are - a non-binary femme.
Seeing themselves in the mirror, recognising the person who they're meant to be there brings tears to Sam's eyes, and not for the first time. They carefully dab at them with a tissue, thanking again the wisdom of online trans people in suggesting waterproof eye makeup. They have a mission themselves, they can't afford to get too distracted.
They consider whether to bring their messenger bag or not. Maybe not today. They fish in their storage tubs - furniture is a luxury they previously couldn't afford - for the deep blue handbag they also found in an second-hand shop. They transfer their usual pocket contents to it, and then...
They pause. They've never navigated the city this way. Never dared. Never wanted to take the risk of discovery.
They remember that have the means now - or will shortly. Savings that they'd kept for the too-frequent rainy days between jobs, for moving between sharehouses, for trans health care that was never available? That can now be spent freely. So a ride share is the fastest, safest way to their destination, to navigate the city without using a voice that might fatally give them away as being trans.
So they summon one to go to a familiar location. And hope that Priti will be there today.
--
A initially tense but quiet car ride follows - thankfully, professional drivers have seen it all, and generally care more about the app ratings and getting paid than who's in the back seat. Sam muses again about what it's like to move through the world while perceived as feminine - they know they are, they know they've always been accused of it, often received violence, physical and otherwise, because of it. But now they get to commit to it, to be it, to live it as little or as much as they've want to. And they very much want to.
It's a daunting prospect, almost as worrying as what to do with their windfall.
But this is not the mission. This is not the battle to fight today - and Sam realises they have many battles ahead to fight. They add self-defence lessons to a growing digital list of things to do to benefit them personally with their windfall. Right below voice lessons and laser hair removal. They suspect there's a large number of skills and services they'll be adding to this list.
The ride share pulls in across the street from Priti's workplace, the convenience store. This is it, the moment of truth.
Sam glides as gracefully as they know how through the entrance to the store, noting how they much prefer their reflection this time. Their smile is warm and genuine as they note - yes, they've timed it right, Priti is here!
They're about to open their mouth to speak when Priti looks up from the counter and sees Sam. A moment of surprise, followed by sudden recognition, and a pure joy crosses Priti's face. Sam lets out a breath they didn't realise they were holding.
"Sam? Sam! Oh my god, Sam! Oh, wow! You're gorgeous!" Priti exclaims.
Sam stumbles over their words as they deal with two unfamiliar things - a compliment, and being perceived, finally, as who they are, by someone important to them. "H-hey Priti" Sam manages to get out.
Priti practically runs around the counter to embrace Sam in a surprise bear hug. "Wow, it is so amazing to see you! And dressed like this! Wow! When you didn't show up at lunch time for the last week, I started to get worried I wouldn't see you again! What happened??" she asks excitedly.
Sam gathers themselves, surprised by the human contact as much as the concern. "... I-I got fired, and then I won the lottery, and then..." they stammer.
"Holy shit! Holy shit! So it was *you* who won the $80 million? My boss said we'd had a winner in store, but we didn't know who! Oh my god, I cannot think of a better person to win it! Oh my god, oh my god, what are you going to do now??" Priti spits out, practically at light speed. They release Sam from the hug, and stand back to allow the shocked enby to speak.
Said shocked enby carries on as best as they can. "... I... I was talking to my friend Sophie, and we were thinking we were going to get together everyone queer we could, and try to figure out a way to make the world better." they hesitantly reply.
Priti half-not-gently punches Sam's shoulder in excitement - "no way! Damn, you're bold! Ending your boymoding streak *and* trying to change the world too?? Wow, the ovaries on you!"
Sam reels from the affectionate assault, surprised by the enthusiasm as much as the playful familiarity - "... I was thinking I wanted you and Rehema to be a part of it. You're both STEM femmes, and... I'm worried we don't have all the right people in the room, you know?"
Priti gives Sam a thoughtful look, clearly weighing up Sam's trustworthiness, and continues - "huh, you're full of surprises today. Okay, cool. I'll have to talk about it with Rehema, of course. But if you can pay us... well, shit, it's gotta be better than here!" she gestures around at the store.
She continues - "Rehema and I have some ideas about artificial intelligence and automated food production, and I reckon maybe we could get somewhere, if we were given the time and resources to."
It's Sam's turn to look thoughtful - "... that's... yeah, I think that's exactly what we're looking for. I and Sophie."
Sam continues - "I'll need to get in someone to work out how to make this work - I don't want to cause Rehema any visa trouble - but... yeah! Good! Perfect!" Sam lights up as initial ideas about trusts and foundations and administrative teams click into place.
It's now Sam's turn to ask for Priti's number. "... can I get your contact details, so that Sophie and I can include you in this, when it happens?"
Priti chuckles - "hey, look at you, asking for a girl's number! I wondered if you were ever the type to do that. Sure, lemme have your phone for a second?" she asks, holding her hand out expectantly.
Sam obediently hands their phone over, and Priti puts her number, her email, and her chat program details into Sam's contacts. Priti raises a pierced eyebrow at Sam - "now, you do remember I *am* a married woman, right? No lewds, no nudes, yeah?" she says slyly.
Sam blushes furiously - Priti's outrageously forward, and not at all mindful of boundaries, but this lands a huge, huge hit on Sam. Sam stammers out something in the negative, and Priti leans in to say "gotcha" with a smile.
Priti rocks back on her heels, and sighs. "I suppose I'd better get back to work, else I'll get in trouble with the boss" she says gesturing vaguely to the ever-present store cameras. "Until you come through with this, I gotta keep the lights on at home. You keep me in the loop with your plans, yeah? We got a world to save." she concludes.
Sam is still too addled to think, let alone reply - they nod, and make their way out of the store. On the way out, they have a sudden thought.
Sam calls back to Priti - "do you know any good local accountants? Anyone good with trusts, anything like that? And queer friendly?"
Priti, now back behind the counter, thinks, and offers - "one of my aunts knows my deal, and has been cool enough with it. She manages trusts for rich people all the time - family trusts, corporate ones, that sort of thing. Send me a message, and I'll give you her details, and help you set up a meet and greet. I figure you'll need it, she's... a bit intense." Priti cautions.
Sam nods, unsure of what that means, but happy to have one of an ever-expanding list of problems potentially solved. They're going to have to get good at delegating - asking and trusting others to help them. And those mental muscles don't move super easily. Especially not after a lifetime of casual abuse at the hands of strangers, as many queer-read people receive.
Sam smiles gratefully back at Priti, though, says a slightly over-the-top thanks, waves, and leaves the store.
Things are happening. It's exciting and terrifying at the same time. Sam orders another ride share and heads home.

2023.03.23 01:39 Glittering_Turnip_82 I was expecting $100, but not this🤯
2023.03.23 01:06 DoodGuyBub Moved to IL from Coastal New England almost 3 years ago. Here are some notes! (Part 2)
TW: This one gets a little more serious.
I didn’t mean to ruffle the corn stalks or take the beans out of anybody’s casserole with my previous post. Also, I didn’t anticipate such great responses to my previous post. I don’t care what they say about you in Indiana. Illinoisans and good sports!
Here’s some more observations:
People apparently can’t talk and work at the same time.
Do I have a super power? Why is it when I’m on the job with people here that the second I say anything the work stops completely? Is my accent a distraction? Why does this not happen to me also? Can we work AND talk? If not please stop talking.
It’s physically impossible for people to spit it out already.
I touched on one scenario where this is an issue on my previous post. If you want my help doing something. Just ask. I do not need your origin story. If you spend 25 minutes giving me the setup for 2 minutes of help, I am going to say no. I helped you already when I was your therapist.
Phone calls are a nightmare.
People in New England tend to be very much to the point in conversation. I actually like calling vs texting. I USED to anyway. Now I prefer text because when I call someone in Illinois, I spend the last 40 minutes of a 5 minute conversation trying to get off the phone.
People don’t keep their business to themselves.
The gentleman who bought the house across the street from me got into an argument with HIS next door neighbor. I was in my driveway using my grill (which I keep in my garage and roll out when I’m ready to use it). As soon as things appeared to calm down he walked across the street and started to make his case about their dispute.
I interrupted him and said, “That sounds like an even-numbers problem. This address ends in an odd number. Keep that stuff over there.” By the look on his face, I just shot him in the stomach. How dare I not partake in the neighborly drama?
Everyone complains about the “government spending.”
Why are there 102 counties? 94 of them are for 1/4 of the state’s population. People here complain about government waste but have all this government. What for? California has 4x as many people with half as many counties and is 3 times larger geographically.
That’s 102 Clerks, boards, courthouses, jails, sheriffs… That stuff costs money.
Here’s one that’s probably going to hurt some feelings but it needs to be said:
Niceness and kindness are not the same.
I’ve met so many nice people in Illinois. As a New Englander, it’s wasted on me. Being nice is great I guess. But I prefer kindness. I’ve helped pull morons out of ditches, given cash to transient folks, shoveled my elderly neighbor’s drive. And have been lectured by people who don’t do stuff like that for being “crotchety” or “gruff.”
There are kind people here. I’ve met plenty. I just find the overall focus on niceness unproductive and unhelpful.
Sometimes the niceness feels performative and it’s very frustrating.
Most of this is just silly. It’s me having fun with the whole fish out of water thing. But remember, I chose to be here. Hit dogs will holler. If you feel personally attacked by any of these observations, just know, I probably don’t know you so it isn’t you I’m talking about. Unless it is.
Be well friends. Just because I’m a kvetch doesn’t mean I don’t like it here.
New Englanders only complain when we care. I had plenty to complain about before I moved.

2023.03.23 00:28 Significant_Can772 Comprehensive analysis of Probability and Statistics to find the odds of selection in h1b
This analysis is based on some assumptions that may not be true for this year. For the sake, we’ll assume 500k applicants and that 30% qualify for masters cap. Feel free to give me different numbers, if you have better evidence or intuition.
First, let’s define some variables: * N = total number of applicants = 500000 * A = number of advanced (masters) applicants = 0.3 * N = 150000 * R = number of regular (non-masters) applicants = 0.7 * N = 350000 * P1 = number of applicants selected in the first lottery = 103000 * P2 = number of applicants selected in the second lottery (from masters applicants only) = 20000 * M = total number of applicants selected = P1 + P2 = 123000
Next, let’s calculate some probabilities:
- The probability of a any applicant being selected in the first lottery is P(R1) = P1 / N
- This is because each applicant has an equal chance to be selected from the total pool of applicants.
- Therefore, P(R1) ≈ 0.206
- The probability of an advanced applicant not being selected in the first lottery and being eligible for the second lottery is P(A2) = (A - 0.3 * P1) / A
- This is because we need to subtract the number of advanced applicants that got picked in the first lottery from the total number of advanced applicants, and then divide by the total number of advanced applicants to get a probability.
- Therefore, P(A2) ≈ 0.794
- The probability of an advanced applicant being selected in the second lottery given that they were eligible is P(A3 A2) = P2 / (A - 0.3 * P1)
- This is because we need to divide the number of people selected in the second lottery by the number of eligible advanced applicants that were not selected in the first lottery.
- Therefore, P(A3 A2) ≈ 0.186
- The probability of an advanced applicant being selected in either lottery is P(A4) = P(R1) + P(A2) * P(A3 A2)
- This is because we need to add the probability of an advanced applicant being selected in the first lottery (which is equal to that of a regular applicant), and then add the product of two conditional probabilities: being eligible for and being selected in the second lottery.
- Therefore, P(A4) ≈ 0.206 + (0.794 x 0.186) ≈ 0.352.
Finally, let’s answer the questions: * If a person is a regular non masters applicant, what is the probability of him securing h1b?
* This is simply equal to P(R1), since regular applicants have no other chance to be selected. * Therefore, P(R1) ≈ 0.206
- If a person is a masters applicant who qualifies for advanced cap, what is the probability of him securing h1b?
- This is equal to P(A4), since advanced applicants can be selected in either lottery.
- Therefore, P(A4) ≈ 0.352
;tldr

2023.03.22 22:58 AnarchistEva Suicides in lockdown is the end of result of society never taking seriously mental health in the beginning
Suicides in lockdown is what happens when you have a society and culture that does not take seriously mental health throughout the years long before the pandemic came. In 2021 the Office of National Statistics published statistics showing a rise in the number of deaths by suicide between 2020 and 2021 in England and Wales. 5,583 suicides were registered in 2021 in England and Wales, 6.9% higher than in 2020 (5,224 deaths). During that time period England and Wales was in lockdown. Lockdown suicides did happen and people have unfortunately seemed to forgotten that.
https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/suicidesintheunitedkingdom/2021registrations Before the pandemic came people and society didn't care about mentally ill people and just saw them as an inconvenience. If a person admitted they were struggling with mental illness generally they were treated with no compassion for their suffering. The common pharse every mental ill person hears "suicide is so selfish what's wrong you" or " people have it worse than you". There is a reason why people do not always reach out for help is because of the risk of being judged by family, friends and other people.
Pre pandemic the mental health care system in the UK was already broken. Getting treatment under the NHS is a postcode lottery which is where you live will determine how long you wait for treatment. If a person wants mental health treatment under the NHS they will face long waiting times for many months to be seen. This problem has been happening all across the UK but people including governments did not care because it was an issue that didn't effect them and is not an election winner. In elections campaigning on the economy and national security is key issues that win voters which is why political parties campaign hard on these issues. Post lockdown many British people can not access NHS services they need because the NHS now has a black log of cases as result of cancelling all its services during the lockdown.
The truth is when it comes suicide in lockdown regarding teenagers the elephant in the room is the parents
The problem with parents is that there a lot of parents who do not listen when their children tell them they are depressed. When I was a teenager I used to get really anxious about exams and ended up having panic attacks as a result. I still ended up passing my A levels and got into university. I dont miss my teenage years because of school bullying, struggling to fit in and make friends. My family never used to take me seriously whenever I was anxious or depressed about anything. My religious family believed prayer was the answer to everything and constantly preached about how "everything happens for a reason" or its part of "Gods plan" whenever something goes wrong.
Growing up as a black teenager I saw many prejudiced attitudes about mental health from other black people both within my family and outside of my family. Mental illness in the black and also asain community is very taboo topic in which families will avoid the topic altogether. There far too many parents who are clueless about what is happening in their children lives. The same parents who blame social media for harming their children's mental health are the same parents who dont even talk to the kids or bond with them. Parents need to start listening more to their children and paying attention to what happening in their children's lives. If I become a parent in the future I will be having open family discussions with my children on philosophy and mental health. I used to be teenage self harmer and will be honest with my children about this. I don't want my kids to feel lonely the way I felt at 15 years old.
The past influences the future before the pandemic came nobody cared about the outcasts of society who are the unemployed, the severely mentally ill, the disabled etc because it didn't effect them. These attitudes has unfortunately led to the deaths of many vunlerable people in the future.

2023.03.22 21:21 Reasonable_Pie_301 Approved phone list question
So a bit of background, before, sometimes when my friend calls, the call doesn’t go through and it doesn’t even ring on my end but it usually connects after the second or third time. The past few days, it takes about 10 times if he hasn’t given up by that point. I’ve gathered that it’s a t mobile issue and not Securus so I got a phone with straight talk since Securus says it would work for them but now I’m realizing I’m not sure how a prepaid phone would get approved at his facility? It’s in Illinois if that matters. Can someone have two numbers for one person on their call list?

2023.03.22 20:51 dicedragon333 Sophmore Waitlist
Housing lottery numbers are out and our group got a pretty bad lottery number (4860). I've heard that a few sophmores get put on a waitlist if their lottery number is bad. What was last years cutoff for the waitlist? And how excatctly does the waitlist work?

2023.03.22 19:44 OGMTFarmer Settlement agreement not working
Long story short, my wife of six years was having a very graphic affair in a no fault state. We were working on a settlement agreement as we both didn’t want to drag this out. I was prepared to do a little negotiating but her offer was so ridiculously high that I would actually have a win the lottery to pay her. My banker and lawyer both laughed out loud. I said the kind of offer I was expecting and she said it was a slap in the face. That number was pretty close to what most women get awarded in the same scenario in our area. So hopefully she gets a lawyer and they talk some sense into her.

2023.03.22 19:33 Advanced_Falcon_2816 Surge In Carjackings Has A Chicago Politician Calling For A Grand Theft Auto Game Ban

2023.03.22 19:11 Young-Warrior-00 Services and pricing
Outside magical practices I have a batchelor degree in pedagogy and I am currently studying about school and career counseling. My answers are centered on offering guidance, as i am trying to let people know better their situation so they will be able to find solutions on their own.
I have been a practicing witch for almost two years now, therefore I am still a beginner and the readings might be sometimes sloppy. I am, however, very intuitive and have great results in readings for other people. I use tarot and pendulum/pendulum boards to channel messages from the universe and our higher self.
What I can NOT do:
- Predictions like lottery numbers, grades, pay expectations
- Medical advice of any kind (really reccomend talking with a specialist)
- Spells and rituals
- Deity identification
What I CAN offer:
- Tarot readings for general situations (ex: career, education, love)
- Tarot readings for specific situations (usually involving 1 or more people)
- Tarot readings with messages from spirits (guides, ancestors, deities, etc)
- Yes/No pendulum readings
- Pendulum channeling for names and dates (note: I can not offer a quality guarantee on dates and number involving answers)
- Basic general advices on spirit work (also check SpiritWork_Witchcraft )
Payment and Timing:
I do not have set a pricing list, as my services are donation based. If you enjoyed your reading, if you found it useful or if you wish to support me in general, you can buy me a coffe (link in bio) with a 5$ minimum donation.
The time to recieve the service might vary from a few hours to 2-3 weeks. I try to be as efficient, but personal situations might occur.
Informations I need for a reading:
- At least the first name initial of the target(s) of the reading
- Orientative age (I need to know if you are 18+ or not to better formulate the interpretation)
- The question as specific as you can on the problem
What you will recieve from me:
- The cards drawn in the spread
- What those cards generally mean
- What they tell me about the context
- The answer to the question asked
- Further explanations on what things might look in the real plane based on the reading
